New System: Sections-Upgrade Challenge!

Challenge Period: January 01, 2019 to December 15, 2019 (PST)

General

ONLY post Sign-Up/Turn-in Forms in this thread.
All other posts go in the Challenge Discussion thread.
Do NOT delete your post after signing up as this will affect the rest of the posts/links.
If you want to withdraw, please see the "Withdrawing" section in the next post.
Please carefully read the rules, "How to Participate" guide, and FAQ before asking questions.

Sign-Up Forms

Your sign-up form must be posted in this thread for you to be considered a challenge participant.
Each anime can only be used once within the challenge.
Please use the anime title as it appears on MAL's entry page. Just copy/paste the anime's title as it appears, including any punctuation it might have. Also, please link the entry used.
The anime you choose to use for the challenge must be watched in its entirety during the challenge period.
Re-watched anime cannot be used for the challenge.
Please specify the dates you started/completed each anime in the sign-up form.

Turn-In Forms

Once you have completed the challenge, copy the turn-in form and post it as a new reply.
Turn-ins should be posted once and they shouldn't be deleted afterwards.
Confirm all items/details are correct before posting. Once you turn-in your challenge, you can't continue working on it until you are told to do so.

Forms

Only one attempt can be worked on at a time. Remember that only your first completed and inspected attempt will be added to the list of participants who completed the challenge.
For posted forms that are unreadable or missing much of the required information, you will be asked to fix this before we proceed with the inspection.
Use a readable font size/color.

How to Participate in the Sections-Upgrade Anime Challenge

This year there are 125 possible challenge items, divided into 5 sections. Depending on the difficulty you choose, you will complete up to 70 total items (Expert). Each difficulty level will require you to choose a different number of items from each section.

Introduction

This challenge follows a section-upgrading system.
　　-- Everyone must begin the challenge as a Novice.
　　-- You can only move to the Apprentice level after you have completed 20 of the Novice items.
　　-- To move to the Intermediate level, you must first complete 20 Apprentice items.
　　-- And so on...
This means you can only watch anime for one section at a time.
　　-- If the last anime you completed for Novice has a finish date of January 31st (on your form), then all Apprentice level items must have start dates of January 31st or later (on your form). You cannot begin watching anime for Apprentice items on January 30th.
There are two exceptions to this rule:
　　-- Anime which have more than 50 episodes can be started at any time during the challenge period.
　　-- Expert bonus items can be started at any time during the challenge period; however, remember that you must complete the Advanced level before you can turn-in your form as Expert.
You will only turn-in your form for inspection once.
　　-- If you would like to continue to the Apprentice level after finishing Novice, then you should then paste the Apprentice challenge items into your post without submitting the turn-in form.
This also means that if you give up on an upgraded section part-way through (e.g. Intermediate), then you can still turn-in your form for the section below (e.g. Apprentice).
Remember that each section has more items than required, so you can modify them at any time while completing that section.

Signing Up

Extra Titles: "Master of..." (optional) and Angelic

You can attempt to add an extra title to your difficulty level by completing your challenge following a restriction. You can only try one restriction per theme provided. The restrictions you can try are:

　　-- Genre restrictions: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Kids, Mecha, Music, Romance, School, Sci-Fi, Shounen,
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　Slice of Life or Supernatural.

　　-- Types restrictions: TV, ONA, OVA or Special.
　　　　-- Items that specify a different type than your desired restriction are exceptions. They must be completed as stated.

　　-- Seasonal restrictions: using only anime that started airing in said season, of any year. (Only one regardless the difficulty selected)
　　　　-- Winter: January, February, March
　　　　-- Spring: April, May, June
　　　　-- Summer: July, August, September
　　　　-- Fall: October, November, December

　　-- Duration restrictions:
　　　　-- Rushed: duration per episodes is 15 minutes or less
　　　　-- Persistent: duration per episodes is 20 minutes or more
　　　　　-- Most of the items that specify a different duration than your desired restriction are exceptions.
　　　　　-- They must be completed with your desired restriction.
　　　　　-- Example, you are doing the item to watch an anime with 16 minutes per episode and less than 5 favorites. If you decide on:
　　　　　　-- "Rushed", your anime would need to have less than 5 favorites and 15 minutes or less per episode.
　　　　　　-- "Persistent", your anime would need to have less than 5 favorites and 20 minutes or more per episode.
　　　　　-- Items that you can't change the stated time:
　　　　　　-- Novice item #2
　　　　　　-- Apprentice items #2, #4, #5
　　　　　　-- Intermediate items #1, #27
　　　　　　-- Advanced items #1, #2, #3, #8
　　　　　　-- Expert items #1, #7

　　-- Mixed restrictions: You can try to combine as many as you can, but can only use one from each.
This means that each anime must fit both the challenge item criteria and the restriction you chose for you whole challenge list. They should be applied to all the attempted sections.
If you decide for a restriction, this should be added to both Sign-Up and Turn-In forms. Don't include "Master of...".
Notes
　　-- Genres restrictions are selected based on how much anime there is on database for said genre.
　　-- These restrictions haven't been tested.
　　-- If you are unable to complete one due to not finding any anime available, let us know to add the note here for your tried difficulty level.
You can do any personal restriction you can think of, but they won't be verified nor counted for the extra title.
Final title would be: [duration] master of [genre] [type] during [seasonal].
Angelic title will be granted to those that achieve a perfect inspection. Perfect as in nothing asked to fix.

Completing Challenge Items

Turning In

Remember that only your first completed and inspected attempt will be added to the list of participants who completed the challenge. You should only turn-in at the end, once you achieve the highest difficulty you desire or can with this challenge.
Once all your items are completed, verify that all information in your sign-up form is filled in.
Note: We are constantly trying to make the inspection process a faster one. It will help greatly if you kept the provided format for the item's list (challenge list). If you have items that require extra information, please display that information in a new line, separated from the item + anime's title.

What happens if I have an invalid item after turning in?

Challenge List with Explanations

Anime = animated work; any type unless otherwise specified
Screenshots are suggested as evidence for some items which requires information that could change by the time you turn-in. There are items in which they will be required since the information will change after you complete them.
Any screenshot taken should include your username and status for the anime (if it's about an anime entry).
Items that rely on information provided by Anime+ might not be feasible for some users, just replace them with others from the same section.
Remember that you can only work on one section at a time.
Carefully read each item's additional information provided, as some of them need a bit extra than what is stated with the item.
Keep in mind that all items related to score will use the score displayed in the entry's page, not those you see while searching (if 0.00).

Watch an active staff member's favorite anime with 10 episodes or more — link their profile and state their username; remember those might change
Watch an anime that finished airing with more than 10 episodes and has a synopsis by MAL Rewrite
Watch any anime recommended to your Favorite Anime — state your favorite anime added as favorite; if your favorites change, change accordingly
Watch an anime with 3 or more main characters with unnatural hair colors — excludes black, brown, blonde, red, white and gray (and most shades of it); it's either green, blue, pink, purple or orange
Watch an anime from a random TVTropes — state and link the trope; unless a specific title/anime is referenced in the example area, you can use any from the franchise mentioned. Watch a Movie with a duration of 90 minutes or more
Watch the last movie of a Movie-Series — use those listed in that thread
Watch an anime with 35 or more episodes that are each 15 minutes or less
Watch an anime with 20 or more episodes that are each 16 minutes or more

Creators
Watch an anime by a studio you haven't seen anything from — state the studio
Watch an anime by a studio with 3 to 30 anime in MAL's database — state the studio
Watch an anime with a voice actor that worked on 5 or less series — state the voice actor; any anime they participated as voice actor; must be 5 or less different titles/anime; don't count same franchise/character as one; you can use this blog for ideas but it's incomplete and not fully revised (valid VAs)
Watch an anime in which your favorite voice actor was part of the main cast — state your favorite voice actor; must be added as favorite

Watch an anime from the predictive search using the participant that posted on the first page — state their username and initial post number; if they change their username before you finish the challenge ,you will have to change this accordingly; save a screenshot in case our search results are different.

How to: In the predictive search bar select "Anime" from the drop-down menu on the left. In the search area write their username completely, without spaces. The anime used should be one from there. You can't press the "View all results" area
Watch an anime with a Roman numeral or Cardinal number in its title — Roman: I, II, III and so on; Cardinal: 1, 2, 3 and so on; can't be in words

Watch an anime with a title that starts with the last letter of your username — exclude any numbers and/or special characters on your username, only letters; This means that you have to watch an anime with a title that starts with the same last letter as your username. In my case, an anime that starts with D; if you change your username before you finish the challenge, you will have to change this accordingly.

3rd Section: Intermediate — 29 total items | 15 required

Types

Watch an anime with 35 or more episodes that are each 16 minutes or more
Watch an Alternative Version or Alternative Setting of something you've previously watched — state the related anime

Creators
Watch a Korean or Chinese anime — specify the club/country; use only anime listed in those clubs.
Watch an anime from your least favorite studio by weighted score on Anime+ — state the studio used; use your least favorite studio as it appears on Anime+ under Anime Favorites by weighted score; must appear listed as studio for the anime used; save a screenshot showing your username in case the ranking changes

Dates
Watch an anime that began airing the same month (any year) you joined MAL
Watch an anime that began airing between 1980 and 1989
Watch an anime that began airing the same season and year as your favorite anime — state your favorite anime added on your profile; if your favorite changes, change this accordingly

Adaptations
Watch a related anime that aired at least 15 years before/after a previously completed series — state the related series you previously watched; it can be one that aired before or after the completed series. For example, you watched Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Crystal (aired 2014) but not Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon (aired 1992), if you watch the missing one it would be valid for this.

Watch an anime with a non-humanoid main character — state the character; can't have physical resemblance to humans (like human hands); e.g. Pikachu, Totoro, Kyuubey, Sakamoto and Monokuma are valid; Piccolo and Ryuk would be invalid; excludes humans/animals/etc that transform into the other (like Arima, Ahiru)
Watch an anime with more than 16 minutes in total and rated R — (17+ violence & profanity) information should be displayed on the entry
Watch a listed Superhero or Gourmet themed anime — state the theme and use one of those listed
Watch an anime with more than 16 minutes in total and tagged with 2 or less genres
Watch an anime with more than 16 minutes in total and tagged as Cars and/or Parody
Watch an anime with more than 16 minutes in total and tagged as Magic, Super Power and/or Space

Challenge & MAL related
Watch an anime with 4 episodes or more recommended to you by a challenge team member — find the team listed at @AWC_mod profile (don't ask the mod); ask any of them directly (use mentions in the discussion thread or comment on their profile); link your recommendation here. You have to ask specifically for this item. Random ones won't be accepted (recommended for another/not specified item)
Watch an anime from the predictive search using a participant that posted directly above/below you — state the username; if they change their username before you finish the challenge you have to change this accordingly; save a screenshot in case we don't get the same anime when searching.

Watch an anime featured in another participant's forum set — participants are those that post in the sign-up thread and haven't withdrawn from the challenge; forum set refers to their signature images and forum avatar; state the username and initial post number; link to their post; save a screenshot in case they change it
Watch an anime that finished airing and that doesn't have forum discussion threads — doesn't have episodes nor "other" forum threads created
Watch an anime with more than 16 minutes per episode that was reviewed the day you started it — link the review here; save a screenshot in case it gets deleted; reviews that are not in English, looks like a troll review, and/or appear as one that will get deleted won't be accepted

Watch an anime with the word "Season" in the title
Watch an anime with more than 16 minutes in total that finished airing and hasn't been reviewed — means that there are no reviews when you start watching it, doesn't matter if it gets one while watching or after you finish
Watch an anime that contains the first three letters of your username — exclude any numbers and/or special characters on your username, only letters; The first three letters can be in any order, but they must all be present. In my case, an anime that contains A, W and C; if your username repeats letters, they must be repeated on the title as well; if you change your username before you finish the challenge, you will have to change this accordingly.
