Lovely★Complex (Lovely Complex)

Love is unusual for Risa Koizumi and Atsushi Ootani, who are both striving to find their ideal partner in high school—172 cm tall Koizumi is much taller than the average girl, and Ootani is much shorter than the average guy at 156 cm. To add to their plights, their crushes fall in love with each other, leaving Koizumi and Ootani comically flustered and heartbroken. To make matters worse, they're even labeled as a comedy duo by their homeroom teacher due to their personalities and the stark difference in their heights, and their classmates even think of their arguments as sketches.

Lovely★Complex follows Koizumi and Ootani as they encourage each other in finding love and become close friends. Apart from their ridiculous antics, they soon find out an unexpected similarity in their music and fashion tastes. Maybe they possess a chemistry yet unknown, but could love ever bloom between the mismatched pair?

Pretty enjoyable if you're looking for a casual romance anime, nothing crazy or outstanding, but almost all the things were executed well.

I find it a great anime that keeps you on your toes (in a good way) almost constantly, despite the not so unique, general story. My only meaningful issues are Maity and Kohori, these characters feel really pointless, it just screams they were added as tools for character development, which would be okay if there weren't so much focus on them, it got tiring at times.

I'm not a huge fan of Japanese humor, but this one made me laugh several times. The art is ...

I don't like how theirs friends try to force them into relationships just because they have similar interests, it really scummy to be forced to date someone your not even attracted to . Why not be only platonic friends they don't have to be couple . They where better like that. Just because she girl/similar interests they have to date , thats bull. Those were some shitty friends .

This is another shoujo that I heard was pretty good, and even had great reviews on Letterboxd. But looking at it in hindsight it’s kinda… weird. Like in From Me To You, it was a romance between the least popular girl in school, the one everyone bullies, and the most popular guy in school.
