I'm writing this recommendation, due to how empty i felt after finishing Cowboy Bebop. However, if you're looking to get picked up by another crew of outlaws, than get ready to be blown away by the real life pirates Douch, Revy, Benny and Rock. As they try to get through their daily life of bullets, blood and boredom, you will learn to love them like the Bebop crew. You will laugh, scream and cry with them. Furthermore they will leave a permanent impression within you - and that's the reason why you should check out the hidden gem Black Lagoon. Especially if you're looking to fill the hole that Cowboy Bebop left.

Both of these anime deal with the every day school life with a twist. In both of these animes time is important. In Orange it's because Naho receives a letter from the future. In Nagi no Asukara it's because relationships change through time, you'll have to watch the anime for more details about that. Orange and Nagi no Asukara are both about a group of friends that experiences something out of the ordinary. Both are romantic slice-of-life anime that can make you cry. Now how are these anime similar? - Takuto and Meroko have, just like the main characters in Tokyo Mew Mew, magical powers with some sort of animal theme. - Both series have a romantic relationship developing along the way. - These series will give you the same kind of feelings. Mitsuki's character is similar to Ichigo's. - FMwS is a bit darker than TMM. Mitsuki is sick, which has some consequences in her life. Ichigo does enter dangerous situations but isn't limited because of any sort of health issue. Chances are pretty big that if you like one, you'll like the other one as well.

The most notable connection between these two shows are the green haired main characters - free spirited airheads almost to the point of being annoying. But in the end they're everyone's friend. Don't forget about swimming and the sea! Amanchu has a swimming club; Umisho a swimming club. A lot of splashing around happens in the ocean. However, Umisho is more focused on comedy and pervy scenes whereas Amanchu on friendship and slice of life.

Mahou Shoujo Site
Interesting that no one mentions this two shows as alike, maybe because both of them are not really popular. If you remove Madoka-like stuff from Mahou Shoujo Site you will get shigofumi topics - school bullying, domestic bullying, fans who lose their minds, very low overall empathy of people and a lot of psychological violence. Well, shigofumi is much more phylosophic while MHS tries to be as edgy as possible, but I still think that MHS is a wild mix of Madoka and Shigofumi ideas.

Both look at age gap relationships, but in a way that seems mature. They definitely give off a similar mystifying feeling, as well as youthful nostalgia. Kotonoha no Niwa is leaps better, but KoiAme can make you feel good things. The age gap is approached well in both, and isn't creepy or uncomfortable. The themes are also similar in exploring and finding careers and paths that fulfill the characters. I have a few qualms with KoiAme, mainly with the way that they achieve the path for our female minor MC, but is still treated with a relative amount of respect.

If you are looking for a show to fill the empty void Toradora left in your soul then Nisekoi should do the job. Both shows have Tsundere Main characters. Both shows have beautiful art/animation styles. Both shows have great characters and chemistry between characters. Both shows have great dialogue. However, Toradora has a dub and Nisekoi does not. Toradora actually finishes its story and Nisekoi does not (you have to read the manga). Also, Nisekoi slightly focuses more on Comedy than Romance it isn't a bad thing, and although it's more into Comedy than Romance it's only very slightly, there are still more than enough romance elements in both shows for your entertainment.

Devilman: Crybaby
Both of these series are great entries in the gay erotica genre. If you like sex and want to fuck children, you have most likely seen either one of these shows. What makes Devilman so mesmerizing as a masterpiece of contemporary writing is how it decides to cut to the chase: Instead of paying needless attention to filler elements such as plot and characters, it gives you an uncensored fill of what you actually want: tits. It doesn't even shy away from showing gay relationships, thus making it an important step towards LGBT acceptance in Japan. Instead of slut-shaming its female characters, it portrays them as strong and dominant, murdering their newly encountered sexual partners without batting an eye. Boku no Pico is similar in the regard of not being afraid to handle taboo topics. I think we can all agree that it promotes pedophilia which, and I beg you to hear me out, is actually a really brave and empowering move coming from the creators. If anything, we can easily drive a parallel between Mokkun, who can be described as a contemporary working class Devilman who struggles with his physical desires, thus making him an interesting multifaceted character with deeper motivations, just like Akira Fudou. Pico, on the other hand, reminds me of Ryou. Both of them tempt their respective counterpart into diving head first into a world of new possibilities and controversy, thus making the main characters question their own humanity.

I know this recommendation looks strange but I find these two quite similar. Firstly, there's blood and violence. Loads upon loads of action, violence and bloodshed with many interesting ways to kill different people. Second, the characters. Some characters I found quite similar (AgK with Akame and Baccano with Ennis). Also they have a few share of crazies (AgK with Seryuu and Baccano with Ladd) and power-hungry bastards (AgK with Esdeath and Baccano with Claire). Many of them are also divided into groups (AgK has groups like Night Raid and the Jaegars while Baccano has groups like Jacuzzi's gang and the Martillo family). Thirdly, comedy is quite similar. However, while AgK's comedy doesn't fit very well, Baccano's comedy fits a bit better for the show (thank you Isaac and Miria). Even though Akame ga Kill is far from being as great as Baccano, both shows are still a fun watch.

Both these anime are about a new teacher assigned to a class who had a bad experience with a previous homeroom teacher. Both teachers try to get to know their students on a personal level, and help them with their problems. I find both shows rather sweet, but I must worn you: if you find the thought of horny nine-year-olds uncomfortable, you might want to stay away from Kodomo no Jikan.

Both these shows are comedies set in a high school. More then that. They're the same style of comedy, and they have a similar feel. They both have a colorful cast of characters, and they both have a teacher obsessing over a student. (One of which just wants to study said student, for she knows she's a robot. The other is a pervert.)

Saiki kinda feels like a parody of School Rumble at times with similar character archetypes, yet instead, in Saiki we get some poking fun of archetypes through breaking of the 4th wall and such. Regardless, the shows have a very similar feel except Saiki isn't based around the love aspect. If you loved School Rumble for its comedy and charm, you will probably adore Saiki as well and vice versa.

There was barely any manga-theme related recommendations. Similarities: about manga While Comic Girls is about a fledgling manga artist and all the moe that ensures, this is about a pair of guys making it through the manga industry. I felt Bakuman was in-depth in the inner workings of the manga industry, while the main lead in Comic Girls was trying to learn how to get better in her drawings.

Token recommendation as these two are probably the closest to each other out of the CGDCT pack, much more so than the show that has the highest rec count for Comic Girls at this point(April 21 2018), which is New Game Both Kirara, similar subject, not identical but comparable relations/dynamics between the main cast, and a slightly serious/coming-of-age tone towards the main character

Basically its love story too, in both movies there is kinda barrier between the two main characters that are supposed to fall in love with each other, but even tho they have to manage to overcome a lot of problems to be together and happy , they can do it. The animation style is similar too in my opinion and its really good artwork.
