you need to read more manga mate.

Hadn't heard of it before; Will definitely check it out some day.

Personally I weigh in MAL/IMDb Ratings as an important criteria for deciding what I read/watch, I do watch animes rated in the 7s or below if they have a cult classic status (Ergo Proxy, Elfen Lied, Serial Experiment Lain etc. [Most still in my PTW list unfortunately]) or if someone with a high affinity recommends me one. There are probably many hidden gems out there but this criteria has helped me watch/read quality over quantity since time is often a constraint.

Speaking of unique and entertaining animes I highly recommend watching the Rurouni Kenshin OVA (Trust and Betrayal); its a four episode long (short) prequel with brilliant cinematography; I recently finished watching it and was blown away by what the anime managed to do in a mere 4 episodes.

I must've not phrased my sentence correctly; the underground boxing part was part of the manga but was not included in season 2.

Although Season 2 did include a lot of other subplots which were indeed "filler", (There is no Leon Smiley, Gomez or Journalist guy in the manga [The role of the last character in the story in fulfilled through Yoko]). Joe and Carlos in the snow, this beautiful scene, Joe and Jose in the rain, Joe hallucinating of Rikiishi in his final fight and seeing him through his blind eye etc. are all meaningful little additions in the anime which make the ending all the more impactful so I do agree with the sentiment that its certainly more appropriate to call it "anime original content" instead of "filler".

The Naruto comparison is perfectly apt; I suffered from the misfortune of sitting through all that filler while I was but a wee lad who knew no better.

That was certainly anticipated; I went through your episode-wise comments on the MAL forums and I must say that your thoughts had been put together really well. Personally I read the manga and recommended the series to my brother who ended up watching the anime so I've only sat through most of its major moments; the second season truly elevated the original work with additional scenes and brilliant cinematography in my opinion and I plan on watching it as a whole some day when my memory of the story finally begins to fade (if that ever happens).

The second season does although rush through a bit with the Fall of Joe Yabuki arc (Joe never joins the underground boxing scene in the second season) since it was apparently covered in its entirety in between episode 55-79 which includes a lot of filler which is why most people recommend watching only the first 54 episodes of the first season. That makes the aforementioned a minor flaw of the second season I suppose since it did cover the Carlos arc and everything after it in its entirety.

Enjoy AnJ S2; It's quite the ride.

You are welcome!

I used to use chiaki by manually writing or googling it multiple times then copying and pasting the entry title and opening it, but now I save many seconds with my find live actions script.

You can use my script too or frequently lose some precious secs of your life if you don't want to use it, either way it is up to you haha.

Many of my scripts use chiaki.site btw...
hacker09 Jan 13, 2023 10:42 AM
Besides the AWC club, there is chiaki.site and probably other similar websites...

My script find live actions kind of does that and easily shows all of them together by opening one of those sites/clubs....

I mean, that is possible, I could make a script that connects to Chiaki or AWC and get the list and links from there and display them directly on the MAL entry.

But since the find live actions script already do that by opening these websites/clubs, that are good enough for me and I see no need to make a script that will gather the entries from those sites and directly display them on the MAL entry link...

Also, I made scripts that add/delete, etc the whole franchise with a single click on MAL, so that is enough for me and most users.

Your idea is good and interesting, but the find live actions script basically already does that by opening another browser tab with all entries links...
