Nah, I've already gone through (and survived) burn-out phases in the past, this time is something different. I say this year might be the last -in the sense it would stop being a habit- in light of two things that will happen within this year. The first one is that very likely I will have already watched or tried all the anime from the past that has ever piqued my interest. After more than eight years already since I started watching anime again on a daily basis, I'm starting to run out of all the classics, popular and/or famous "must-see" titles from the past I had some relative interest in watching. Also I will have already rewatched everything I watched as a kid back in the 90s and early 00s, and when that happens, basically all fresh things I'll be left with to see will be seasonals, which I'm just not very into.
The second thing is that by the end of the year I'll be turning 35, which means I'll be officially kicked out of the conventional 18-34 "young adult" demo. 35 sounds quite a strong number, in the sense that it's closer to 40 rather than 30, and 40 is closer to 50 rather than 20, so in case I hadn't already done it, this time there will be no excuse and there will be just no way I could feel with the right to both call and see myself as a "young person" anymore. Life happens! I'll be formally entering another stage of my life, and not to say that a grown-ass man can't watch anime, but let's agree that it does look kinda cringey socially speaking that an adult that has passed this critical age keeps consuming content primarily about teens and that is made for teens.
So when you take into account these two eventualities it comes as natural to feel that you're time in this world is ending, that you already did what you came here to do, your job is done and perhaps it's time to move to other interests. I mean, there's technically nothing wrong with this but it would be kinda weird if you told people that you're over 35 and you still dedicate a lot of your free time in watching dumb generic self-insert isekai, cute little girls or waifu bait seasonal garbage. I'm not saying I'll be closing the door to everything, it's just that it'll stop being a habit and I'll be much more selective from now on. I'll likely still try every new "next big thing" like the next Attack on Titan or the likes, but beyond that class of show that makes a lot of noise in the industry, not much more really. (With the exception of Rent-a-Girlfriend. I'll be watching every single new season it gets no matter what. That's non-negotiable!)
Yeah, another year, but it might very well be the last for me.
