~ A Decade of Idols ~
Of the various 10 year anniversaries I've celebrated, I never expected idols to be one of them. My first idol anime was The iDOLM@STER back in February 2014. While I still wouldn't dare don that title, I've definitely had a great time constantly delving into this particular subgenre. It's become one of my favorites right along with sports.
While "Ai" adore the performative aspects of it, my favorite part of idol anime is often the optimism & encouragement. It can pick me up on the worst of days and give me that extra push to keep pursuing my own dreams.
I particularly wanted to do this theme because I'm coming up on the ten year anniversaries of when I started Aikatsu & PriPara (July 2014), both of which I'm still catching up on their franchises & loving.

Have a wonderful day 💖
(P.S. I'm super late in responding to my MAL messages/notifications). I reply to my MAL messages 5 months later or 6 months later. In the case of your comments, I'm replying to them two months later, which is also late. Also, I'm still in an anime hiatus. More or less. I think, the maximum number of anime I can watch this year is only three anime shows.)
So, you're not alone when it comes to anime hiatus. There are certain times when we truly fall off anime. And, that's just natural because we're growing up.
But, who am I to talk? Cause, I'm a unique case: I'm a 32-year old female and I still love anime/manga to a certain extent (like, 60% love and 40% hate). And, I find myself filtering through the anime shows/manga series more frequently. If I think a series will waste my time, I wouldn't even watch the first episode. If I see a lot of top-tier reviews around it after a few months pass by (or after a few years pass by), then, I'll reconsider those series.
When you mentioned "in your element", I'm very happy for you. I'm still finding my way through as I haven't found mine despite months and months of anime/manga/MAL hiatus.
I stopped watching My Happy Marriage for the meantime. I'll resume it when I get interested in the series again.
K-On and Fruits Basket are great shows, but as an adult, and from my perspective, Attack on Titan has some lessons that even we find difficult to grasp.
Note: I haven't finished watching Attack on Titan: Season 4 yet. I've been on hiatus for two whole years now when it comes to Attack on Titan: Season 4. I did see glimpses or screenshots or screencaps of the Attack on Titan finale here and there. That's why, I've been avoiding social media for 90% of the time. Don't worry, I finished the Attack on Titan manga a long time ago (waaay back when the final chapter dropped). I know the series. I know the ending.
I hope your Christmas Culture Festival went well! It sounds like a fun activity to perform in school!
I read Liselotte & the Witch's Forest. I'm aware it's been discontinued. I do have to say it has a different flair, but I can totally feel Natsuki Takaya's themes revolving around in this unfinished series again. (I finished reading the 5 volumes of this unfinished series back in 2021). I decided to read it at that time cause I was curious on the other works of the Fruits Basket author. It's a charming series --- one that I would have loved to see a proper conclusion if given the chance.
and the idol land pripara opening? if so then yeah it looks amazing
and yeah, sad that idol land pripara is only 12 episodes from what i've heard and episodes are releasing like yearly but theres that new pretty series anime soon which i'm very excited for

Love Live is also my favorite. I like the very first season the most. Nothing can beat µ's and their beautiful songs. :3
I also like these idol/music series:
