Yao Shen Ji 2nd Season

Watching this because the manga release is so slow. Its very disappointing that one of the good manga was made into an CGI and is extremely bad. Although this season was interesting for awhile but it got really boring with it's spiral down into some side story that doesn't really fit well.

The mc best trait of outsmarting others was thrown aside, some story doesn't make sense on how some characters ended up there. Many of the character models are overly re-use through out season 1 and 2.

What's worst is that moving into season 3, it felt that every character forgotten about season 2, making it ... feels like a dream or it did not happen.

I'd like to do kind of a reply review to the first review that's posted here, but still sticking to the review.
I'm actually very happy that they're showing things you didn't get to see in the book. It would of course be cool that its exactly like the novel or the comic but wouldn't it be dull to see the same thing over and over again?
Season 2 we get to learn new things while still following the storyline. Is that so bad? I had fun at least and i've also got some of my family hooked.
My rating is a bit over the top but I ... just really enjoyed the animation, the characters, voice acting, and the parts of the story you didn't get to see in the manga.

This season was filler. I sort of liked it but not as much as the other seasons, but when the filler ended it's almost completely ignored and in fact some of it contradicts what happens later, or won't happen until much later. As such it was a bit of a letdown. You can skip this season and keep going, the rest is fantastic.

It's unfortunate that the animation is a little low quality... you get used to it and it's worth it for the storyline and adventure but this series deserves better than this. One thing this filler adds to though, is the premise that you ... only get by reading the synopsis before the show or researching the background for it.

Overall, the filler is fun and a little more lighthearted than the rest but is totally optional.
