This is the bridge between Kuro no Keiyakusha (Season 1) and Ryuusei no Gemini (Season 2). For those who watched both seasons THIS IS A MUST! In these 4 episodes they will explain the holes in Ryuusei no Gemini.
(Will update as season ends)
Story: 9/10
These 4 episodes explains about the gap in the 2 years between season 1 and season 2. Like before of DtB, the story is well executed and polished. It is based on the character development between Hei and Yin. Also answers many of the questions that were brought in season 2.
Art: 9/10
Amazing, I would say it is better than both seasons. As this is the 3rd season of DtB, all I seen is improvements in art.
Sound: 8/10
They bring back some of the old and created some of the new. It is crisp, fresh, and rewarding. You are going to enjoy the new sounds and music as well as some of the old.
Character: 9/10
Even though these 4 episodes revolve around 2 people, they developed Hei and Yin even FURTHER. Many development is explained that where questioned in season 2 like " What happened between Hei and Yin".
IT ALL ANWSERED HERE!
The characters are vibrant and round, We understand them and feel their pain and emotions clearly. Like the other 2 seasons, it does not fail to convey their emotions clearly.
Enjoyment: 10/10
There has never been a dull moment in these 4 episodes. Every episode we would stand, worry, and maybe even cry. We never stopped watching and always wondering what will happen further. Surprises always move the plot and the typical story has been rewritten.
Overall: 9/10
If you watched Kuro no Keiyakusha (Season 1) and Ryuusei no Gemini (Season 2), THIS IS A MUST! It will explain the holes and fulfill the answers that are desired. You will cry, you will laugh, and you will shout. This is what true emotions conveyed in Anime is about!

With just one episode aired I believe we all more or less know what it's going to be about. So let me explain this a bit to those who haven't got their hands on the first episode yet.
Story : The story clearly takes place between 1st and 2nd season. As written above, it's main purpose is to shorten the gap between 1st and 2nd season.
If you've finished just 1st season, this is just like watching another episode of it. If you've seen 2nd season too, it's pretty much a flashback, but a very critically needed one. I myself was pulled in the story once again and honestly can't wait to see the rest. So the conclusion : Story 10/10 .
Art : The art is the same as in 1st season and it's flawless. We get to see clearly the facial expressions, emotions, action scenes are great and so on. Gets 10/10 from me, nothing ever annoyed me at the art used here.
Sound : Sound's awesome like always. There's even some new awesome OST used in comparison to 1st season, you'll enjoy the episodes greatly as the OST used just suits it as it should. Gets 10/10 from me.
Character : Alright, we get to see only the two main protagonists from the 1st season here, Hei and Yin. Despite all that though, there are some new guys appearing to the end of 1st episode and it seems to be worth it.
The most astonishing at character is the development itself. We get to see the Yin's emotional and mental growth despite her being a "doll"... After seeing 1st episode and with the knowledge of 2nd season, let me announce that she isn't a true doll at all, just partially. (Especially with the new found power she has)
Gets 10/10 from me, flawless.
Enjoyment : This is a bit tough. If you've just seen 1st season, the enjoyment here will be top notch as it has the atmosphere of 1st season and unbelievable development of two main protagonists. If you've seen 2nd season too though, this is going to be painful.
Overall : If you get to see this and you're a fan of DtB, get some nerves reserved ahead. Currently a very long wait for next episodes awaits us all and enormous mass of people hopes there will be another season, explaining the WTH 2nd season ending.
Shamefully this is just 4 episodes, but I believe it's worth seeing it, worth at any cost =) I'm definitely sure this season is going to be top notch, so if you really liked first episode, good luck at waiting for the other three ones! =) Long live DtB!

Both have very similar storylines .The protagonists are escaping from an establishment .Builds a base for the series to progress .High on action and emotions.

At first, both these animes have a similar drama component: in order to do their duty main characters have to kill their loved ones, however in Ga-Rei Zero drama is payed more atention to and is more deep than in DTB. Both these series deal with organisations exterminating threats to the mankind (ghosts in GRZ case and contractors in DTB case). Sure thing there are mystical powers and supernatural abilities included. Also, you will feel painfully sorry for main characters whichever you watch.
In case you watched DTB only because of action and fights, it's unlikely you will like GRZ. There is action (actually, half of the series is swordsfighting), but it is drenched with main character's emotions and incertitude . But if you have nothing against adversaries trying to resolve an agonizing dilemma of fighting against their ex-friends, you will definetely enjoy it.
