Thanks for responding and what I love most about Vision of Escaflowne is that it was a new kind of fantasy anime at the time. It also gave me an old-school JRPG vibe unlike The Wizard of Oz which started the generic, isekai genre. I was never that big of a fan of that novel or Disney adaptation to begin with (Dinosaur, Aladdin or Treasure Planet is more of my style).

After all these years, it aged remarkably well unlike those light novel adaptations with similar themes or genres. Many that I or nobody else think are worth remembering.

Slayers is another fantasy anime that I like with Megumi Hayashibara included and stuff, but it's got too much comedy. Vision of Escaflowne, in comparison, is much easier to take seriously.

Like you, I also love the fact that Maaya Sakamoto starred in that original anime. Especially years before she took on the role of a tragic Final Fantasy character that made many people cry.

As for Japanese, I'm gotten used to it and I actually can't wait to master 1,945 Chinese characters (or jōyō kanji).

Just letting everyone who made requests know that all Bunkasai signatures, Colorful cards, and any extras made have been completed and are available for pickup (in case you didn't get the notification). 😊🎉 Backup albums were also added there so your graphics should always be available. And the Colorful cards make great mobile wallpapers anyone can use. There's many characters available for them- I've been using this Yuno one 🥰️
