Isekai Quartet Movie: Another World
　Mini Review: I liked the new characters they introduced and how they tied in with the original characters. They were able to mix in the goofiness of the setting with a plot that actually resembled plot. The constant hampering about "their most important person" got a bit old and I wish they would have skipped the sappy end. The ending also would have been a good opportunity to wrap up Isekai Quartet, I'm not sure I need more of it. I had a good time though. 7/10
Eternity
　Mini Review: I liked the visuals. Although the movie had something to show, it didnt really have anything to say. I didnt particularly get anything out of it but it wasnt as confusing or nauseating as some other Dementia anime. 5/10
Tetsuwan Birdy Decode
　Mini Review: Compared to the older OVA the show is a lot slower. Since they have more time, they try to further develop the story but I feel not very effectively which had me a bit bored. I liked the redesign of Birdy and it was still a decent watch, I just wish it had a bit more of the charm I felt in the 1996 version. 6/10
Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru
　Mini Review: The slice of life start was pretty boring. After the first four episodes it does pick up with the feeling of something being wrong. I enjoyed the world building and sense of dread that set in. I just wish the ending would have played out differently. The drama between the characters wasn't as compelling to me as maybe the Taisha/monsters as an actual enemy. Maybe not helped by Tougou's decision feeling very sudden. Also, the random fan service felt very out of place. 7/10

Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger [Prev 19/26]
　Mini Review: I'm not a big fan of the HnI franchise, sports anime are generally not my thing. In the first couple of seasons it felt like trainig arcs with banter and then Ippo outlasting the other person in a fight. This season however had more focus on other characters than Ippo, the fights felt more personal and I enjoyed the anime overall more. The humor is not for me. 6/10
Hajime no Ippo: Rising
　Mini Review: 9 episodes to figure out that the solution for the predictable move is to make it less predictable :/. Where I liked in New Challenger that the fights seemed more human and I enjoyed them more because there was less Ippo, this season goes entirely the other way. More Ippo and less human than the earlier seasons. The "meat" dude was so laughably evil. 5/10
Trava: Fist Planet
　Mini Review: The character interactions, although quippy, were not very fun. Constantly bitching or trying to impress a girl doesn't make for very likeable characters. It was interesting to see a bit more of Redline's world, but even though the anime is fastpaced, I ended up a bit bored. I think because the story seems a bit random. Decent, but a lot of missed potential. 6/10
Non Non Biyori: Okinawa e Ikukoto ni Natta
　Mini Review: I don't like SoL or CGDCT as it tends to not have impact, iyashikei with impact I do enjoy. Non Non Biyori goes more for the, look at the cute girls doing cute things, now be at peace, which doesn't work for me. Since I've never connected to the characters, the cutesy humor also doesn't stick. The entire episode is lead up to a vacation. As far as I can find there is no actual link sequel with the vacation? What was the point? 4/10

Suzume no Tojimari
　Mini Review: The roadtrip parts were a bit boring. The characters they introduced were charming, but we didn't spend enough time with them to get to know them. I also don't feel like this time was used to flesh out Suzume or the relationship between Suzume and Souta very well, which didn't make the romance very compelling. Also, whats the age gap, isnt she 16? The fantasy elements were interesting and the art was gorgeous. 7/10
Sasaki to Miyano Movie: Sotsugyou-hen
　Mini Review: The main series felt kind of weirdly paced. Like it was based on a 4-koma, or maybe I just didn't like the editing style. This movie has some of the same problems for me, but I think because the scenes were more consistent in tone it bothered me less. I'm not a fan of walking in circles type romance. As they're now together, this also didn't fall into that problem for me. It was cute. 7/10
Sasaki to Miyano: Koi ni Kizuku Mae no Chotto Shita Hanashi.
　Mini Review: I wasn't that big a fan of the main series so just seeing the characters again did nothing for me. The premise of everyone looking for a missing item felt a bit weird and nothing really happened so the episode was slow. Boring and unnecessary adition to the show. 5/10
Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou: Maboroshi no Bouken to Kiseki no Kaigou
　Mini Review: The start was harem slog. After that it turned into a standard isekai OP MC trash which it did fine enough. I didn't remember who the four characters they meet were so that didn't help for being invested, especially when they started referencing apparent earlier interactions. The ending amnesia made it feel even more like a useless filler. 5/10

Gokushufudou Season 2
　Mini Review: Tatsu's voice actor really adds so much to the anime. The part in the last episode with the girl who doesnt eat vegetables was really good. Since all of the characters/relations are established in the previous season, there is no new development and the joke got a bit old. Still fun. 6/10
Itai no wa Iya nanode Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu. 2
　Mini Review: The pacing felt a bit off in the first half. The speedrun of floors kind of took out the adventuring spirit the first season had more of. Since the MC's are already so OP at the start, it also doesn't feel like much progress is made. Were they out of budget after ep 3? With big monster I've gotten desensitized to horrible CG, but Sally running around was incredibly ugly. The characters seem to be having fun and I like the positive vibes. 6/10
Bungou Stray Dogs 4th Season
　Mini Review: I tend to like BSD more when it is focusing on a single character over actual plot. The backstories of the detective and doctor were really good, the rest was okay. I get that they need ways of exposition, but the "smart" people constantly telling each other their trump card and it then biting them in the ass was frustrating. I also didn't really like the page as a plot device, it feels a bit cheap to just be adding things because "it was on the page". I also didn't like the open ending. 7/10
Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 3 - Hi no Ishi wo Tsugu Mono
　Mini Review: The throwback to the training with Kakashi was nice. I think they did well balancing all the characters' screentime. The desaturated art was a bit bland but fit the more "serious" movie. I liked how the villain got a progressively creepier design. The ending was a bit meh, I didn't care enough about the villain to care about his redemption moment but can't expect something else from Naruto. 7/10

Cool Doji Danshi
　Mini Review: It was the last anime I watched for this challenge, but I can confidently say it was the best. It made me laugh out loud so many times! The characters were quirky and cute and I loved their chemistry. There were no boring episodes. Normally, I prefer anime with a clear storyline and this one was more episodic and slice-of-life-y, but it was great anyway. I would definititely recommend it to anyone! 8/10

Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni. 2
　Mini Review: I'm not a fan of this show, but I enjoyed its cozy moments, especially the library episode, it was my favorite. This season mainly focused on the expansion of the protagonist's harem, which is already ridiculously large. The other main storyline was preparing for impending danger in the form of Phrases - ancient, crystalline beasts. In order to defeat them, Touya needs special robotic suits powered by ether fluid. Supposedly, these are very difficult to obtain, but nothing in this anime is ever really a challenge. Problems pop up and are solved in the same episode, so there's little sense of anticipation or suspense. There's also too much fanservice. Overall, I'm not the target audience for this anime, but it wasn't a complete waste of my time. 4/10

Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu
　Mini Review: I didn't expect much going into this. I thought it would be another silly isekai like all the others, but I was pleasantly surprised by how funny it was. The protagonist didn't care about the opinions of others, he didn't strive to be powerful, rich or even loved by everyone, he just did his thing with no regard for others. I found it hilarious! I quite liked the opening and the ending, too. It's just a shame the animation was so lousy. It would have been more entertaining if it wasn't so ugly. Still, it's a 7/10.

Mushikaburi-hime
　Mini Review: It was my second time trying to get into this anime. The first time, I couldn't get through the first episode, because it felt too slow and boring. A few weeks later I tried again, this time having the deadline for this challenge in mind and, to be completely honest, I'm not sure I would have finished this series if it weren't for the challenge. I knew it would be cliche, but sometimes it doesn't bother me all that much. Unfortunately, I grew to hate the protagonist (Elianna). She was portrayed as a well-read, smart person, but she never had anything to say. Every episode, without a doubt, she would keep saying the interlocutor's name, repeating their last words as if it were a question or just saying "huh" without adding anything to the conversation. The only other time she opened her mouth was to spout some random fun fact from a book, but that gimmick quickly became a bore. Let's not forget the miscommunication galore and her constant dependence on the prince to save the day... I'm happy it's finally over. 4/10

Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn
　Mini Review: The art and music are both fire, honestly. I genuinely am hyped for the series this resulted in now, because this proved to be a very strong start. Each pairing was an introduction, but each introduction individually was extremely strong in characterisation and plot. The voice acting was very well done, and the premise is intriguing for a Type/Moon property. Enkidu's and Gilgamesh's conversation and fight were amazing, especially since it feels like this will be going places. With Enkidu's master and Jack both being quite... unique in form, I am hoping the series delivers when it releases. 9/10, don't let me down, Fate.
Dr. Stone: New World
　Mini Review: Not quite as good as the previous few seasons, but still hype honestly. There's a few scenes which were absolutely amazing for how shocking they were, and I wish I could speak about them but they are major spoilers of course. Kohaku gaining more of a focus was a lot of fun, and the scene from the past in the last episode was genuinely heartbreaking. I need to get around to the next season as soon as possible. 8/10.
Baja no Studio: Baja no Mita Umi
　Mini Review: I watched this at 7am after being awake for about 18 hours - it was honestly a very easy watch considering the headache. The artstyle is is very soft, and the voice acting is very good for what is a smaller production (though it pools people who regularly voice characters for KyoAni!). It definitely has a very cutesy feel to it, which makes sense considering the intended audience, but I greatly enjoyed it, though that might be the sleep deprivation talking. 7/10, adorable.
Katarina Nounai Kaigi X
　Mini Review: I honestly thought I accidentally watched some of the first season since it was covering the ground of the first season rather than the second. I do still find this an interesting framing device for the shorts, having Katarina's mind court talk about the anime, but honestly unlike the first season this doesn't feel like it adds anything to the Katarina watching experience. Gets a bit better as it goes along, 3/10 same as the first.

Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season
　Mini Review: Honestly, I've kinda lost the plot at this point, but it was probably a good thing the perspective swap allowed me to catch up for a bit. Best girl died, and I'm quite mad about that, but I also expected it (I was spoiled that she died at somepoint, just not how...). The "both sides aren't so different and war sucks" is definitely becoming a lot more... blatant now. It was blatant in 3.2 let alone here. Animation change I'm ambivalent on, but it was probably the least disruptive time for it to happen at least, and this is no OPM2 situation. On to the next part, 8/10 not as good as the last season.
Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season Part 2
　Mini Review: OK back to form here, I'd say - bizarrely I find some parts of AoT much more enjoyable than other parts. Here... well, the scene in the forest where everyone sits in a circle and talks through all the horrors that they've committed is honestly peak. I've always preferred the drama of this series when it focuses on characters rather than lore: the history and world-building of this series has always managed to confuse me, but the character writing has usually been decent, and the moral difficulties well placed. Eren's absence for most of this part, like with the last, is beginning to make him an effective antagonist. I've heard bad things about the ending, so I'm hoping the last few hours are still enjoyable. 9/10, just as good as s3p2 but the OP is nowhere near as good as final p1. ("RUMBLING, RUMBLING, IT'S COMING" never fails to make me laugh.)
Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season - Kanketsu-hen
　Mini Review: OK some people apparently had issues with the ending of Attack on Titan... I do not have such complaints. The Final has some of the best AoT has to offer, and although it does suffer from multiple climax syndrome, it did do what I think it had to do in that second climax. Allow Armin and Mikasa's loose ends to be tied up. From what I am aware, the last 10 minutes added a few scenes not present in the manga (and from a quick check, I think they add a lot to the epilogue). I also think it was a good idea they didn't adapt 139.5, as that leaves a much more bitter note in comparison. I did not like AoT's first season to the extent I wanted to continue, despite thinking it good it just wasn't my cup of tea. By now, I think I can say I enjoyed this series, as much as my enjoyment oscillates between true enjoyment and appreciation of production. 9/10.
Norageki!
　Mini Review: The 3D is honestly better than I expected it to be, but is still kinda jank. One of the characters really reminds me of Futaba from P5 both skill-wise and design-wise, which my mind stuck on for most of the OVA. I feel like this could have been longer and filled out the story a lot more, honestly. I feel like the story was trying to be deep but fell extremely flat, but I can see promise in the premise as stated previously. The ending was... definitely shocking. 4/10, I've seen worse and there's promise here.

　Mini Review: I have so many regrets. So. Many. Regrets. I didn't have enough time for Full Metal Panic, so watched this instead and it was a terrible decision. This anime deserves its place in OVA Scum, being horribly animated, horribly ecchi (to the extent of probably deserving the erotica tag) and horribly bizarre. I really do not want to think about this anime anymore, so it gets to be compartmentalised. 1/10 for treating extreme levels of trauma as ecchi fuel.
Serial Experiments Lain
　Mini Review: I have no idea what was going on, really. Like, I do, in the sense that its about identity and the internet and how the two can intertwine. But really, I just found the plot to be a bit of a mess. The art and direction are both superb a majority of the time though. And considering she was only 15 at the time, Lain's VA was kinda perfect for her? The music though was the highlight by far, and I think is one of the reasons this anime has such longevity to it. This anime exists in a similar place of my mind to that of Ergo Proxy, whilst the ending reminds me a lot of Madoka. 7/10 I found Ergo Proxy a bit more enjoyable compared to this.
Koukaku Kidoutai: Stand Alone Complex - Tachikoma na Hibi
　Mini Review: Tachikoma na Hibi really reminds me of the K-On! Ura-On! shorts, mostly thanks to the lack of backgrounds most of the time. The tachikomas feel less endearing here, compared to Stand Alone Complex, potentially because a lot of their appeal to me in the series is their relationship with Batou and their plot of slowly developing greater sentience. I can see why they'd be utilised for what is basically a series of shorts, but really this didn't interest me all that much at all, power rangers parody aside. 3/10, which I'm starting to learn is just my default for these shorts...
Kidou Keisatsu Patlabor: On Television [29/47 seen]
　Mini Review: I absolutely adore Patlabor. It has its faults for sure, the art tends to be very off later in the series, but the writing has so many fun episodes. An episode about everyone succumbing to food poisoning, a dream existence in New York, multiple ghost episodes... no other mecha show would do this. It's a comedy workplace show before its a mecha show really, and every member of the cast gets a moment in the spotlight. Probably the best characters are Goto, Kanuka and Ota just for having the most depth to them. I need to get around to watching the New OVAs, which all I have left of the franchise. I was watching this with a friend and for my own collection and I'm lucky I could use it here. 8/10, more zany batshit insane workplace anime please.

Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3 Specials
　Mini Review: They're not the worst comedy-style short specials I've seen, but I don't have much to comment on them really. Generally, I find it good to know even the creators of AoT think that Mikasa might be a little too obsessed with Eren. The stand out was probably the idolisation of Historia though, lol. But yeah, its 15 minutes so not really much to say, is there? 3/10.
Shingeki no Kyojin Picture Drama
　Mini Review: Thanks to the longer length compared to later AoT picture dramas and the benefit of hindsight, I thought this might be worth a watch. Unfortunately, apart from a few standout shorts (the Jean/Marco lost one, Hange one and Erwin one) most of them just felt a bit stale. It felt weird realising that Hange was right in the short to do as they did, but in general me knowing later events really didn't make anything feel more interesting. Relying on the same joke at the end of every short grew old extremely quickly. 3/10 damnit.
Yuukoku no Moriarty Part 2
　Mini Review: I thought the first season picked up tremendously with the appearance of Sherlock in the first series. And, thanks to continuing the plot of the first series, it managed to surpass it quite quickly. Especially with the arc of Irene Adler, which was probably the highlight of this part to me. The plot twist really got to me, I didn't expect it even though it probably should have been a bit obvious that it would happen that way, character wise. Highly enjoyable, writing better than the first season, 9/10.
Kimi to, Nami ni Noretara
　Mini Review: So, the pacing was messed up by me having to take about 3 phone calls during the run of the film, so that definitely threw me off a bit. But... the plot is a mess anyways. Especially the climax, which does not feel deserved whatsoever thanks to two things. First, the setup is stupid thanks to neither main character trying to leave the building after knowing things were about to go wrong. Secondly, the arc conclusion just didn't feel like it made sense - Hinako obviously hasn't fully reached the point of being independent. This scene would not bother me as much if it didn't end on a forcefully sad note? Like, it just doesn't hit right. The VA work is good (I like that both characters have realistic, not great singing voices but with how often they sing it becomes grating) and the art is as ScienceSARU as always. 5/10 why does this remind me of Bubble in disappointment?

Jingai-san no Yome
　Mini Review: This is a bit weird in that , despite starting with a goofy premise, it follows up with somewhat usual romance cliches. It's pretty short so it doesn't overstay it's welcome and what is there is fine but considering how it started, it almost feel underwhelming how "normal" it ends up being. So it's better than I expected from the start and is actually quite watchable. So basically, it's an anime that starts with an insane premise and yet end ups pretty "normal" afterward.
Room Mate
　Mini Review: Usually, while it's harder for them to be great, short animes are also harder to be awful because they are so short. So, I have to say it's quite an achievement for 4 minutes episodes to manage to be boring but this anime managed to do it. The plot is basically an excuse to give eye candy of the leads, the animation is very basic and the entire way it's presented (from the POV of a nonshown character) isn't great either. I have nothing good to say about this, the only redeeming fact is that it's short but it still felt too long for what it was !
Noblesse: Pamyeol-ui Sijak
　Mini Review: There is a lot about the story that's left too vague/unclear for my taste but overall, the main plot with the conspiracy was fine. The fight scene toward the end was pretty nice. It does it's job as a prequel/introduction well enough I'd say and the main characters are decently characterized (even if some backstory about their frienship and relations with humans might have been helped.) Overall, it's say it accomplishes it's goal and despite not knowing anything about Noblesse, I could still follow.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Kuinaki Sentaku
　Mini Review: It's a good prequel with Levi's backstory in the underground. Iin some ways, since it's a prequel there are a lot of things that are locked in place (we know who is alive or not in the future) but it still manages to pull out a decent storyline that's adequately resolved. Maybe the ending is a bit fast (surprise they knew about the plot all along !) but it still works and I suppose the vague ending of Levi following Erwin is a nice endpoint.

Megumi no Daigo: Kajiba no Baka Yarou
　Mini Review: It is a decent oldish movie. It's not that amazing but it does have an uncommon premise (not that many animes about firefighters) and it handle it well enough during the time it has (older OVA are usually shorter than normal movies after all) . I suppose the characters other than the MC don't have much development but this isn't really an issue. The animation isn't bad either.
Maybe the reputation of the mc should have been gone into further details but considering the limited time, I suppose to introduction had to do.
Buta
　Mini Review: I'd say the episode is a bit too short or a planned sequel didn't happen (considering the ending says "To be continued"). Either way, the story end with not that much being resolved. The map's secret is not revealed, the Fox isn't back to his family and it leaves a somewhat empty feeling. Everything else was a somewhat standard plot I guess though the way the Fox brought the Buta to his side is amusing and the scene with the fail giant robot was funny.
B.B. Fish
　Mini Review: It's a really weird anime, but not in a good way. The plot is random and makes little sense, the characters are off putting and hard to really understand, the story about the legendary blue fish goes nowhere (and the final "twist" if you call it that about it doesn't explain anything). It also has psychedelic visuals, which is not a bad thing by itself but that's kinda the issue with this anime. It's too grounded to be a pure insane dementia feast but it's too weird to really have a proper story. As it is, it's caught between both and have the advantages of neither.
Jigokuraku
　Mini Review: I liked it, the visuals of the islands and the monsters are weird (in a good way), the characters are likable and the way the story is presented is enjoyable (with the different groups each having their time to shine). If I do have something to complain about, it's the ending point which is really unsatisfying (cliffhanger) and the facts some deaths were really telegraphed (flashback + deaths flag). Still it did pull a fast one for one of them. However, It is still pretty good and there is a second season planned so I cannot complain too much on the ending point.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie
　Mini Review: It was pretty good. The first season was great and so was this prequel movie. The new (well old since it's a prequel) main character is enjoyable and the movie gives up a preview of Getou (and probably what he will be doing in the second season). The animation is beautiful as well and I really liked the climax. It's also a nice refresher for the new season. In some way, the ending kinda feels like a deus ex machina to save Yuuta but the way it was explained , it made sense.
Kara no Kyoukai Movie: Mirai Fukuin
　Mini Review: So I have a somewhat mixed opinion on the Kara no Kyokai serie, finding some movies good and some.. pretty meh. Luckily, this is one of the good one. While it does have the non linear storytelling that the serie enjoys (and that I often dislike), this time it wasn't confusing on purpose and actually was quite easy to follow. The new introduced characters were quite enjoyable, the villain's power was interesting and Mikiya wasn't annoying like in some movies. Overall, it's among the best movies of the serie and one I did truly enjoy watching.
Youjo Senki
　Mini Review: So I had actually heard a lot about this before. Usually, I'm underwhelmed by hyped series but this one was actually pretty good. The setting of weird magitech WW1 is cool and Tanya is both funny and entertaining and it someone manages to mix up seriousness and sometimes humor without it feeling jarring. What's impressive is that it manages to maintain the level it shows in the first two episode during the entire court, which isn't that common. I'm interested in checking out the sequels to see where this is going.
Youjo Senki: Senkyou Houkoku
　Mini Review: So, it is a recap. I think just saying this already explain a lot. This is basically half of the first season in one episode so it doesn't go into details but it is still pretty decent, as far as recap are concerned. Of course, it might be helped by both the quality of the main serie and the fact I watched it around the same time so I already knew how to complete the "gap". But still, it's a decent recap which does it's works.
Still a recap though, so it can't aim too high.

Youjo Senki Movie
　Mini Review: A pretty good follow up to the main anime that continues where we were left off. To be honest, I don't have that much to say about it, since the quality seems similar to the serie and if you cut it into episodes, it wouldn't look out of place. Anyways, this is good and a great follow up to the story. Unfortunately, that's where it ends for now but the second season is apparently schedule this year so the wait might not be that long. The only slight defaults I could say is that the NonFrench battle in Africa feels a bit too rushed (but the Soviet part largely compensate) and Mary Sue is kinda annoying but considering that's her actual name, it's totally on purpose.
Jigoku Youchien
　Mini Review: Honestly I'm not not sure why it exists. It has basically no plot or actual characters and is only a handful of random jokes and I didn't found them funny so really, It deserves it's pretty low scores. The animation is pretty low quality as well. Now, for this kind of anime, this isn't necessarily a problem since it's not like the goal is to blow your mind with amazing visuals, but as I said, the jokes all fell flat for me. The only reedeming quality is that it's short !
Youjo Shenki
　Mini Review: So this is just a bunch of shorts comedy based on the main serie with very limited animation. I will give it some credit in that I found at least some of the jokes amusing and they usually at least all made sense( which isn't always a given in those kind of ONA comedy shorts). Still, compared to the main serie , it doesn't come anywhere near it. But better than most of those Short comedy special based on a main serie.
Boukyaku Battery
　Mini Review: As a standalone short ONA, I can only say this anime is pretty average. The story by itself is fine but it's basically seems like a set up to the actual plot... and then it ends unsatisfyingly. on a cliffhanger.
(Apparently, an alternate version will be created this year but it will be an alternative version so even then it probably won't be useful as a Prequel). Also it has the standard sport cliches like "smug overconfident jerks" and the jokes are mediocre. Like some are kinda amusing (but not great) and some are just standard things you find in almost every animes.

　Mini Review: Mostly more of the same in this second part. At first I didn't think that I was enjoying this part as much as the last one, but towards the end there are some really hard-hitting, memorable moments. I'd like to see this one get a second season though, I'd love to see what happens next after the final scene!!
[✔]86 Special Edition: Senya ni Akaku Hinageshi no Saku
　Mini Review: Due to the nature of it being a recap special, a lot of the emotion of the original series was lost and the pacing was off. That being said, I still enjoyed this recap, especially considering I watched the first part of this series months ago now. It's got me looking forward to part 2, and I really hope it lives up to the hype.

　Mini Review: This short OVA was so silly lol. Since it was made for the fans of the manga, it's difficult to enjoy since there is so little context. The story in ep 2 is also very odd, but to be honest, the premise of the show overall and the characters weren't too bad. I'm debating checking out the manga.

　Mini Review: Despite being such a short series, I really liked this one!! It's more of the same yuru camp goodness that I loved, just in a shorter format. The theme of this short was really sweet, showing their friendship. I'm really looking forward to watching the next season!

　Mini Review: Another short from the same studio as Mignon and Gwahoheup! The plot is quite intriguing and well presented, but I didn't really seem to like the characters as much in this one. It's probably the weakest of the three, but still charming and easy to watch. It seems that the studio's works are just getting better and better.
[✔]Semantic Error
　Mini Review: The voice actors are so good in this!! the animation is quite basic but still looks good, and the couple seem to have good chemistry. I don't know anything about the source material, but for a short watch without context it was enjoyable. Of course, I only wish we were given more of the story..
[✔]Mask Danshi wa Koishitakunai noni
　Mini Review: It's alright. The animation is actually quite good and there is some history shown about the main character, although very little... it's a shame because it might have been better had it been fully fleshed out. The story is really simple and the romance between the characters feels very superficial and forced, but if you can turn your brain off it's a decent watch thanks to how short it is.

Almost 7 years on since I watched the original show, this felt like a blast from the past. Despite that though, this wasn't really anything special to me, and nothing particularly stands out. If anything, it reminded me how much my tastes have changed over the years.

　Mini Review: Really, what's not to love about bananya? I'm glad to come back to this series, it's been a lot better than the majority of other ones that I've watched recently. So cute and pure, it's perfect for my stressed self right now. I liked it!
[✔]Boku no Imouto wa "Osaka Okan"
　Mini Review: Similarly to the show below (though admittedly not as bad), the premise of the show is decent aside from the weird undertones.. I loved hearing the Osaka dialect though and what was presented was generally interesting. The animation is super static however, and I can't really say it's memorable or anything, besides the intros making me uncomfortable with FMC's comments.
[✔]Pan de Peace!
　Mini Review: A short and sweet show about girls and bread. While that sounds like it would be a good time, it just wasn't. I wish that they focused more on the bread rather than the girls... it's super tropey and full of unnecessary boob shots of school girls, and of course the token loli character. Rather than being a show that anybody could enjoy (Yuru Camp comes to mind) you can just tell that the show is made for the male gaze. The premise could have been good but it's uncomfortable to watch.
[✔]Sazanami Soushi ni Junketsu wo Sasagu
　Mini Review: I quite liked this short, probably because it's Josei, but either way, it's not too bad. The animation was surprisingly good and it actually has a plot rather than just being pure smut. That being said the story is nothing great, although I do like yakuza romance. The ML had like one or two scenes where he looked good, whereas it seems a lot more budget went into the FL which is kind of a shame lol. The spicy scenes were decent but quite short.

　Mini Review: A super short spicy BL. I can't really complain, the story is told well enough despite the length of the series and the characters have good chemistry. Of course, as with all shorts, I wish it was longer. I would probably really enjoy a full-length series of this, it's really nice to see the characters as adults. I like the way that their past is told within this short, intertwined with the present. I enjoyed it!
[✔]Jingai-san no Yome
　Mini Review: A kind of odd but somehow very wholesome short?? I don't really know what was going on or why high schoolers were getting married to creatures, but it was quite sweet and not too weird despite the premise? I especially liked getting to know a range of characters and their counterparts. In particular Kanenogi is very cute. But I do feel a little weird about the initial idea.

　Mini Review: Okay, I didn't really care for the characters at all, I guess because not much background was given. But it was decent, and I still kinda enjoyed their relationship? I wish that more happened or we saw more background/development but unfortunately it was just an OVA. If they released a series I would probably watch it, but as it stands, it's just decent. The yakuza theme definitely made it better though
[✔]Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
　Mini Review: A good parody of traditional shoujo tropes. But for me it's not really much more than that, it's funny and fairly chill, but I didn't feel particularly attached to any of the characters and I guess I dislike shows that don't quite go anywhere. But other than that, it was a good show to switch my brain off to and just enjoy the dynamics of the characters and their personalities. I really like the topic of manga creation, though.

　Mini Review: I don't like when there are years of difference between episodes. Thank god it kept the same atmosphere, the same animation style, the same vibe. So it was as nice and sweet as i think the previous episodes were. I prefer these ovas over the tv version.
Umayuru
　Mini Review: Only here due to my completionist spirit. Nothing new here. I know chibis are popular with the audience. Even i liked some of them but not most cases. Why is that?, because is just CGDCT which in some series, takes out what makes the anime good. Maybe i'm antique but i like that series are focused on what they promised from the beginning, in this case, racing and training and leave out all the cutesy parts.

　Mini Review: The only reason i watched this season was that i started the 4th season and felt the need to see how it ends. When starting it i was thinking what to write for the review. And the first thing that came to mind was that i always thought that Ranpo and Dazai were stupid characters and just in that moment it happened that Ranpo realised who was Kamui. The whole situation was so stupid that i couldn't stop laughing. Even i knew who he was since the 4th season without paying too much attention. Atsushi is the only character i like, he's adorable.
Mahoutsukai no Yome: Nishi no Shounen to Seiran no Kishi
　Mini Review: I liked the Wild Hunt and everything around it. But it seems to have the same vibe as the whole serie always has had, which is a bit meh to me. So i'm here just watching the continuation of something i started before, nothing more.
Horimiya: Piece
　Mini Review: It's nice and funny but i'm getting tired of it. I think it's due to the lenght of the story, two seasons of this is too much for me. Maybe that's why i prefer the ovas.
Okashi na Tensei
　Mini Review: A complete waste of my time. An anime as shallow as a puddle. Why always insist in having a child with a grown man mind to be with another child. I know that japanese are pedos but why always insist with that idea?. I know it was a detail but still bothers me. I thought it would be food porn but nop. Like in every isekai, the previous knowledge of the protagonist is almost unused to point of why make it isekai to start with. I know that authors are lacking of original ideas and don't know what to do, so they follow the same recipe over and over again to the point that i dare anyone to name one isekai that make people to not feel ashamed to say they like it.

　Mini Review: After the first episode i had some expectations that i think ruined the serie for me. Having the protagonist horny all time didn't help at all, i know that the average japanese felt reflected in him but it was gross. Also it didn't help that i don't like people with Marin's personality and Shinju is a walking cliche (thank god she didn't get more screen time).
Kanojo ga Koushaku-tei ni Itta Riyuu
　Mini Review: Maybe i was too hard on this anime. The story is exactly what i expected, bad to say the least. I always wondered why authors don't come up with better ideas to justify the main character knowledge than just make it an isekai about a novel (i can't take seriously this kind of set up). Both main characters were kind of likeable together so maybe i should lift up the score i gave it.

　Mini Review: A good sleeping pill. I had to make great efforts not to fall asleep. It was boring as hell. Lily is the most useless of them all. The protagonists are so rough on the edges that made the machines looked interesting. Some machines mimicking humans were cute.
Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon
　Mini Review: Obviously beautiful, but i don't care about aesthetics. Watchable. Silly at times, too teenage-like for me. The kidnap episode was ridiculous. The romance was interesting at the beginning, the supernatural part was boring. Like always, the female protagonist is someone with great potential and supposedly unique but at the end is just as useless as always to the point of being annoying. It could have been better but it's clear the author has limited talent.

Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii OVA - [1/3 seen]
　Mini Review: Waiting years for a few side stories which one of them is an onsen trip. I feel that i've seen something similar to the end of Promised Neverland 2 in the way that they made a flashback with scenes of the conclusion of the story, clearly telling you that it'll never be adapted again. I don't know why they do that, better do nothing instead. On the plus side the characters were still nice and cute.
Summer Ghost
　Mini Review: Pretentious and empty movie. Made for the easy tearjerkers, i doubt that even them cried with this one. When i get this kind of crap it just enrages me. Give me back my 40 minutes of life.
Lycoris Recoil
　Mini Review: Uff. Where do i start? It was so stupid at so many levels!!!!. People told me it had yuri bait. Maybe i could like it because of it!. I'm still waiting!. At first thought, children/teens trained assassins, great!!!! Takina looked like a perfect example of it, like a true assassin should be, but that fell out quickly. The DA looked like a girls school. Chisato should be dead long ago and i'm not talking about her heart but her behaviour while working, calling it naive is not enough. The antagonists were so ridiculuos that i'm not wasting words in them. Everything was consistently illogical. But i liked it when they first met Walnut.
Hayou no Tsurugi: Shikkoku no Mashou
　Mini Review: When i watch this kind of ovas i always wondered if all stories were bad or just incredible bad adaptations. And after so many ovas i can tell that in most cases were the second option. I suppose that before there was never enough budget and they try to adapt a story of 20 volumes into 2 ovas. What can go wrong?

　Mini Review: This anime has been on my feed for a while now. It was not what I expected however, I am glad I watched it. I think it is very philosophical with great storytelling that kept me wanting to watch more.
Trigun Stampede
　Mini Review: I went into this not knowing what it was about. The CGI did stand out to me. I wasn't put off by it by any means. I did not know what the story was about either before watching this, I was not aware that it was a remake so I can't comment on the similarities or compare it to the original series. The story was smoothly presented, and the details were understandable within the storytelling. I did find one topic of the anime intriguing, humans trying to condemn people of higher being or other entities that overpower and challenge the authority of humans, I think the same can be said within human society. Overall, it was an enjoyable watch.
Keishichou Tokumubu Tokushu Kyouakuhan Taisakushitsu Dainanaka: Tokunana
　 Mini Review : I really enjoyed watching this anime. The world setting was fascinating and kept me engaged throughout the entire series. The well-developed characters had intricate personalities that added depth to the story. Despite some of the concepts being questionable, the plot was exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat. I would recommend this anime to anyone who enjoys crime dramas and action-packed stories.
Mitsuami no Kamisama
　Mini Review: A short film that left me pondering about the ending. Living in a world desolate and solitary and to unknowingly be experimented on is not relatable at all but with all the concepts presented, what stood out was the film challenging the concept of willingly being a donor or unknowingly being observed to be harvested. The ending seemed open-ended, personally, instead of helping the girl, the boy was the one the girl helped escape to the other side, which unbeknown to me, maybe the same or worse than where he was.

　Mini Review: This was an enjoyable watch. Graphics and animation left me in awe. I also enjoyed the music choices. Story-wise, I was surprised by the Little Mermaid reference/inspiration. Incorporating it in the anime was refreshing however I find a disconnect in the origins of the bubbles, unless I missed it while watching. The characters were well developed. All I can say is there was no dull moment.
Burn the Witch
　Mini Review: This anime was an okay watch without the context of it as an alternative setting. The story is very fast-paced, the world-building, the problem, and the solutions. There was no specific scene that stood out given that it is only 3 episodes, I felt the lack of introduction of some of the characters and they are just pushed into the scene without the proper background, but then again, it was only 3 episodes. The music and animation were okay. Overall, a fine watch.
Sono Toki, Kanojo wa.
　Mini Review: Watching this anime was a cozy and heartwarming experience. The way it portrayed people's emotions when they are in love was quite remarkable. In my opinion, the visuals and music complemented the anime beautifully, considering its genre.
Mashle
　Mini Review: I am not the target audience for this particular anime, but I can understand why some people might find it enjoyable. It's entertaining in a way that doesn't require a lot of mental effort. Personally, I don't usually watch parody animes, but I found this one to be decent. The plot didn't captivate me and the characters were fairly predictable.

　Mini Review: I knew this would be a great watch, but it exceeded my expectations. The animation and music/audio engineering were amazing. It has emotionally affected me on a personal level, somewhat of a comfort watch. To talk to your younger self and tell them everything will be alright is a fantastical idea but a very realistic desire. Also, Daijin 😭. Great anime.
Bakemonogatari
　Mini Review: Not what I expected. Story-wise, very intriguing. Leaving all the supernatural stuff, the romance aspect was great. Unrequited love is very real. The music stood out to me. Since this is rated R which is fine, I was not really for the underage sexual assault. Anyway, the story is the only thing that will make me continue to watch the next season.
Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu
　Mini Review: I watched an anime, but it didn't really appeal to me. Although the overall concept was interesting, the story was somewhat predictable. I think the story could have been just as good without the vampire element, but I guess that's part of the anime's charm. I'm not usually a fan of vampire or space-themed anime, so it was a bit difficult for me to finish watching it. The part where they were trying to reach the moon seemed to drag on and the story was not that interesting.
Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho
　Mini Review: The story is very mysterious, but the ending leaves many questions unanswered. But then, I don't watch a lot of this kind of anime. The music and animation were subpar. The world-building was not clear to me, and the overall story did not cover it. The concepts provided were hard to grasp, and I did not understand how the world began.

　Mini Review: This was on my plan to watch for a while but was putting it off after accidentally watching spoilers. The spoilers did not affect much of my watching experience. The anime is still mind-boggling even with the spoiler I watched. I was expecting the anime to finish in one season with how the story was going. This anime has good world-building and has left me with a lot of questions.
Isekai Ojisan
　Mini Review: This anime was average for me. I could have done without all the fanservice and rather focused on the story. Additionally, it was not my type of humor. It was difficult for me to continue watching, although that is understandable since I am not the target audience.
Jigokuraku
　Mini Review: The beginning of the show was interesting enough to catch my attention. I usually don't mind the dialogues in between action scenes, however, in this anime, it felt dragged on. The story is intriguing in itself, but, I felt the execution to be lacking towards the middle and end of the season.
Kaijuu no Kodomo
　Mini Review: The story was a bit hard to follow throughout the whole movie, I only guessed what it was about near the end. On the other hand, the animation was beautiful, the same with the music. I was left with multiple questions at the end.

"Oshi no Ko" ✨
　Mini Review: When I first started watching "Oshi no Ko," I really didn't know what to expect. The first episode had me wondering what I'd gotten myself into. It seemed like just another boring, cringey idol anime. And when the main character was reborn as his idol's newborn baby, I almost wanted to stop watching. But then, at the end of that episode, everything changed completely. The show suddenly became a mix of drama, mystery, and heartwarming moments. I got totally hooked. The way it delves into the Japanese entertainment industry, showing the harsh realities behind the sparkling facade of show business was refreshing. The characters are well-developed and genuine which makes them highly likeable. Plus, the colors are simply stunning. With its engaging story, rich characters, and beautiful visuals, "Oshi no Ko" is definitely a must-watch. It turned out to be so much more than I initially thought. [9/10]
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie ✨
　Mini Review: I watched "Jujutsu Kaisen" around two years ago, but to be honest, I don’t really remember much about it. I was a bit worried about starting the movie because I thought I wouldn’t enjoy it as much without remembering the background story and the characters. But it turns out, the movie was still a great watch even for someone like me, who felt like a newcomer. It impressively blends action, emotional depth, and supernatural elements, ensuring an engaging experience regardless of one's memory of the series. The visuals in the movie were amazing. The animation was really smooth, especially in the fight scenes, and the colors were used in such a cool way that made the story even more interesting to watch. The fight scenes were well done: they were exciting and looked awesome. I really liked how they used the color purple for the curses. I’m glad I decided to watch the movie. It’s made me excited to catch up with Season 2 now. [8/10]
Fire Emblem ✨
　Mini Review:The construction of the story was notably poor. It progressed too quickly, omitting crucial elements necessary for understanding both the characters and the plot. The introduction of numerous characters in a brief span hindered proper character development. The princess character was particularly unpleasant, with most of her lines in the first episode being "Mars-Sama". Although she showed slight improvement in utility in the second episode, it was insufficient to foster any emotional investment. My unfamiliarity with the "Fire Emblem" games likely influenced my reception, as the OVA doesn't stand well on its own. The artwork, typical of 90s anime, was unremarkable. The highlight, however, was the music, especially in the latter part of the second episode, likely coming from the game. In summary, the story was overly simplistic, character development was minimal, and its appeal seemed limited to fans of the game series. Overall, I was not impressed. [5/10]
Kanashimi no Belladonna ✨
　Mini Review: "Belladonna of Sadness" stands out primarily for its distinctive and unique art style. There's a sense of detachment from what happens to them, which might leave viewers indifferent about their journey. The soundtrack of the movie is a high point, effectively drawing viewers into the world of Belladonna. The music complements the visual experience, adding another layer to the film's immersive quality. [7/10]

However, the animation fell short of my expectations. The lack of movement among background characters sometimes gave off a sense of laziness. The CGI, particularly in depicting spaceships, lasers, and explosions, was disappointingly poor in quality, to the point of being distracting. In comparison, the original series from the '80s, despite its age, seemed to have more care and attention to detail put into it. Additionally, the music in the original series was superior, creating a more immersive and effective atmosphere. [7/10]
Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu - Eris no Goblin Toubatsu ✨
　Mini Review: Given that this was a special episode, I approached it without any expectations about its plot/quality. The plot was somewhat uninspiring, and the animation noticeably lacked the finesse of the main series, particularly evident in the excessive use of stills. However, I was glad it was not a recap and the fight scenes involving Eris were a highlight for me. The introduction of Cliff, a new character, piqued my interest, especially with the episode ending on a note revealing more about his background and motives. The first minute of the episode stood out with its visually striking art. Overall, this special episode satisfied me and I'm looking forward to watch the rest of the series. [7/10]
Inu-Ou ✨
　Mini Review: This movie presents a distinctive cinematic experience. It mixes different visual styles in a way that totally draws you in. The visual appeal of the movie is exceptional, captivating viewers with its unique and diverse aesthetic. Musically, the film excels, combining traditional Japanese elements with a modern twist, creating a powerful and distinct soundtrack. However, the movie falls short in its storytelling. The plot doesn't go very deep, and the characters' stories aren't that interesting. Despite these shortcomings, "Inu-Ou" shines in its exploration of the political dimensions of art. It makes you think about how important pop culture is, and how leaders often try to control unique things like music. [8/10]
Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken Movie: Guren no Kizuna-hen ✨
　Mini Review: The movie is a good continuation of the series. The storyline was engaging and held my interest, but there was a lack of character development. I was particularly interested in learning more about Hiiro and his relationships with other characters, which I think was a missed opportunity. As for the animation, while it matched the quality of the series, I had higher expectations for a movie production. Despite these points, I still found myself enjoying the movie. [7/10]

Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka IV Episode 0 ✨
　Mini Review: This recap episode aimed to cover the first three seasons and set the stage for season 4 within a brief 25-minute runtime. Unfortunately, this led to an extremely fast-paced presentation that was difficult to follow. I had hoped the recap would effectively refresh my memory, but it moved through key events too quickly and superficially to be truly helpful. Without any new content or storyline developments, the episode felt lacking. I am not looking forward to season 4, expecting it to continue in the series' vein of Bell striving to become stronger with his party without a new and fresh intrigue. This particular recap episode left me dissatisfied, falling short of its intended purpose. [3/10]
Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka III OVA ✨
　Mini Review: This OVA is a classic example of the Onsen trope, predominantly used to introduce ecchi elements, a theme already prevalent in the main series. Its primary focus is on fanservice rather than plot development. Personally, I found little enjoyment in this aspect of the episode. However, a noteworthy element of this OVA was the somewhat original and almost innocent pretext devised for the male characters to enter the women's bath. Additionally, the creators showed a bit of creativity in how they presented the female characters' nudity, cleverly obscuring key parts. Despite these attempts at originality, the OVA doesn't contribute anything significant to the main storyline and is easily skippable. [4/10]
Fushigi Yuugi: Eikouden ✨
　Mini Review: The necessity of "Fushigi Yuugi: Eikouden" as a sequel remains questionable. I was happy to see Miaka’s life progressing with her pregnancy and married life with Tamahome. Unfortunately, the OVA deviates significantly from their love story, focusing instead on Mayo. Mayo, introduced as a new character, comes across as whiny, selfish, and immature—fixated on Tamahome despite his marriage to Miaka. The OVA struggles to effectively revisit the beloved characters and their dynamics. The development of characters and the storyline are executed in an overly dramatic and shallow manner. Mayo's actions, particularly targeting Tamahome in spite of his commitment to Miaka, reflect a lack of maturity and depth in her character portrayal. The way the story tries to reconnect with the original party and its dynamics falls flat, lacking the charm and depth that defined the original series. It feels as though the OVA was created without a clear purpose, failing to add meaningful content to the "Fushigi Yuugi" universe. Only die-hard fans of the series might find some enjoyment in this OVA. [4/10]
Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken: Kanwa - Veldora Nikki ✨
　Mini Review: This particular episode didn't contribute significantly to the main series. The storyline was disconnected from the central narrative and felt unsubstantial, giving off a filler-like quality that seemed unnecessary. However, the animation maintained the standard set by the main series, and I did appreciate the engaging character interactions, which, while not crucial to the main plot, were enjoyable. I suggest to watch it only if you are a fan of the main series or a completitionist like I am. [4/10]

Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou: Maboroshi no Bouken to Kiseki no Kaigou ✨
　Mini Review: I was really disappointed with this special episode. It failed to captivate me due to its dull plot elements. I had hoped for a more engaging and deeper storyline (this special being composed of two episodes), but it felt disconnected and missed opportunities to be truly captivating. My enjoyment might have been further dampened by my previous disinterest in the main series. The portrayal of Myuu treating Hajime as a father figure was particularly off-putting to me. Overall, this special was a letdown, lacking both substance and engagement. [3/10]
Bi-Indoushi Miija: Injoku no Gakuen ✨
　Mini Review: As I began this hentai, I found myself questioning what I was getting into. I had never written a review for a hentai before and never planned to... but here we are. The first episode was bad, yet it seemed to consume 95% of the total budget for the series. The plot, even by hentai standards, lacked engaging elements. It was dull, lacking in storytelling, and failed to create any significant investment in the characters' fates. The animation was atrocious. The series heavily relied on still frames and low-quality animation. The sound quality was equally disappointing. I usually don't pay much attention to voice acting, but this was so poor, it was laughable – actually adding a humorous aspect to the series, making it more bearable instead of just painful to watch. It appeared the characters were voiced by the cheapest seiyuu available, and the voice syncing with the characters' lip movements was off – way off. It seemed like no one in the production team cared much about this detail or any details. I would highly recommend this series if you enjoy watching low-quality hentai with friends, as I do. My hubby says 1 out of 10 chub. [2/10]
Kagaku na Yatsura ✨
　Mini Review: This OVA treads the line between ecchi and hentai, with its explicit content featuring extreme nudity and sexual themes, making it appropriate solely for an adult audience. Given its brief duration and ecchi focus, the lack of depth in the narrative and character development is not surprising. From an artistic standpoint, this OVA distinguishes itself within its genre. It successfully avoids repetitive and static scenes, and the vibrant color quality is particularly noteworthy. Although categorized as comedy, I personally didn't find it amusing; instead, I found it cringe-worthy, and the sex scenes seemed overly explicit for my taste. I would recommend this OVA only to those who specifically enjoy highly explicit ecchi content, including tentacle themes. [3/10]
Shakugan no Shana: Friagne & Marianne no Naze Nani Shana! Nandemo Shitsumonbako! ✨
　Mini Review: This special series, part of the "Shakugan no Shana" franchise, includes 8 short episodes featuring Friagne and Marianne. Its content is only these characters explaining terms and concepts from the main show. Lacking in plot and character development, the series aims to be informative but falls short in engagement. The presentation was bad and I found it to be quite boring. The animation was minimal, relying on just a few drawings (4 at most) of the chibi characters for the entirety of the episodes, and the voice syncing with these limited animations was noticeably off. The redeeming feature of this special is the quality of the seiyuus. However, despite this, the specials overall do not offer a compelling viewing experience and is not worth your time. [1/10]

Hanhua Riji 2nd Season
　Mini Review: AAAAH THIS WAS FUN! I watched season 1 a while ago, and while I did enjoy it, I kind of forgot about the series after that. But season 2 was...chef's kiss. The humor just LANDS, all the episodes of the 2nd season were so fun to watch (I especially liked the portrayal of the work/workplace specific issues and the sleep deprivation issues of Su Moting). Su Moting is such a fun Grinch-type character - and her struggles are often good portrayals of common issues in nowadays' society. Su Moting, Xing Tianji and Xing Dikui are such a fun trio together, and complement each other's personalities well. I liked the soundtrack a lot too - the ending song is the same as in season 1, but it's catchy and has soooo many variations (I...wouldn't have expected to hear an Italian version of it, so color me surprised).
Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 1
　Mini Review: This was full nostalgia lane to me. I found the animation quite a bit subpar (it's not like I came in with high expectations, but even so, I was hoping for a bit more from a movie). The story is nothing amazing really, though it's decent enough to make the ride worth your time if you're a Naruto fan - Shion is ok as a protagonist character and fits the story, though it's not easy to find her likeable at (plenty of) times. Overall I mildly enjoyed the movie (as a biased-Naruto-nostalgia-influenced fan), and it's been nice seeing Lee and Neji as protagonists too.
Aria the Animation
　Mini Review: I enjoyed Aria, very good slice of life, always relaxing to watch after a tiresome day.
Aqua as a world/planet does not make much sense...scientifically, but it feels like the anime doesn't even try to buy into that, itself. Putting this aside, as pure fantasy, I liked the world Aria is set up in.
As for the characters, there's a good diversity of personalities and archetypes; there is a lot of ara-ara's and "no sappy lines" overuse, but... it's catchy I guess? I am officially in ara-ara withdrawal now that I finished it.
Overall a really enjoyable watch at the right moment, I'm sold for the sequels too.
Colorful (Movie)
　Mini Review: For the first hour and a half out of the 2 hours, "Depressing" would have been a better title for the movie. The story is really gloomy until close to the end, with the MC acting in a very toxic way. It becomes "Colorful" towards the end, once the MC makes his first friend - and out of that relationship something blossoms and it spreads to the other interpersonal relationships that MC has. I enjoyed the movie in the end, though the first part is not an easy watch. The ending wraps it up in a wholesome way. I liked the animation, except for some awkward CGI here and there.

Dragon Half
　Mini Review: I enjoyed Dragon Half, it has a nice, speedy pace. The comedy aspect is good, I laughed quite a bit. Story-wise, it's nothing out of this world, but it's catchy and it does a good job of introducing (and then wrapping up) everything in 50 minutes. The characters are likeable and funny (even the froggo-slime looking evil emperor lol). I have no regrets picking this one :D
Akkun to Kanojo
　Mini Review: This one is a miss for me. It focuses on the relationship dynamics of 3 pairs - and while it has its funny moments, I disliked that it also introduced a teacher - student "pairing"; I'm sure that was reaaaally necessary for the plot or comedy aspect. I wasn't really a fan of the dynamic within the main pair (Akkun/Non) - kind of a toxic relationship - so I guess the only saving grace was the Masago/Chiho pair.
Ame-iro Cocoa
　Mini Review: I watched quite a lot of short series and I usually enjoy them, but I don't have much to say about this one. I guess the doggo is the only highlight here. The characters are quite bland (ikemen wannabe much). Would have enjoyed it if comedy played a part, but it's kinda missing. Overall this was just trash-somelier-flop material.
Bai Yao Pu
　Mini Review: I enjoyed Fairies Album, it feels like a mashup of Mushishi and Kino no Tabi. It's structured on different stories (2 episodes for each story) - which I personally liked; because of this, lots of characters are introduced besides the MCs, and plenty of them leave strong impressions. I really loved the art and OST, they fit the show very well. I'm actually sold and interested on how the MCs will develop across the next seasons.

Hanhua Riji 3rd Season
　Mini Review: 3rd season has a bit less spice than the 2nd one, which was the best in my opinion - but it was also a fun watch. One thing is for sure, this never gets boring; had a good laugh. Overall this series is really fun and creative. What the hell is that fluffy catdragon even, I'm hyped for season 4.
Shiguang Dailiren Special: Xiaoyao Sanren de Weituo
　Mini Review: Decent special episode. It's mostly a fan tribute and a thank you for the people that watched the first season. It's funny that Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang manage to botch their mission - "task failed successfully". OP & ED songs are the same for season 1, catchy songs as always.
Dead Leaves
　Mini Review: I was curious about this one because it's animated by Production I.G, and I usually like their works. While I generally enjoy more peculiar animation art styles, I wasn't necessarily impressed by Dead Leaves from this point of view. I found the story rather bland (prison escape on crack basically, good for the adrenaline rush), though as it's a 50 minutes only movie, it's decent enough? I would have liked it more if it introduced more elements in the story instead of over relying on violence/vulgarity which gets too much focus for my taste - especially as the character design is interesting (I can't say I've ever seen another character with a TV-head). The soundtrack is decent and fits the cyberpunk set-up quite well.
Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai!
　Mini Review: This was a decently entertaining short series. The characters are all likeable and blend in together. I like the dynamics between Shi Miao and her brother, their spats are fun to watch. For a short series, it did pretty well introducing the characters and adding some color to them. It got me hooked enough to want to watch the next seasons too.

Wu Nao Monu
　Mini Review: The plot is a bit chaotic and it makes thing hard to follow at times, but for me this was the only flaw. The animation is gorgeous, definitely one of the highlights of the show. I enjoyed the story (especially the last arc). The ending felt a bit random - guess production just needed a break and artificially split this in 2 seasons.
Summer Ghost
　Mini Review: The story of Summer Ghost was enjoyable and engaging - it felt like a great job, fitting everything in only 40 minutes. The pace of the story goes a bit fast, so I wouldn't have minded at all if this was a longer movie...but, at the same time, it feels like it managed to scrape just enough of the characters' backgrounds. I liked the wholesome way in which, against all different hardships they were facing individually, Tomoiya, Ryou and Aoi manage to come together for Ayane's cause.
Liz to Aoi Tori
　Mini Review: I watched Liz to Aoi Tori without being familiar with any of the Hibike Euphonium series - while it's watchable on its own, it's probably not worth going this route, as it feels like there's not enough substance for the characters covered in the movie to make it worth as a stand-alone "product" (compared for example to what Yohane the Parhelion is to the Love Live series - which was perfectly enjoyable on its own, without having the main series' context). The animation was nice, and I liked it that different styles were used for the girls' story versus Liz and the blue bird's story. The music was great and accompanied the story well. Overall an enjoyable movie, but I'd recommend to anyone, including past me, to watch the series first before touching it.
Kotonoha no Niwa
　Mini Review: It was no surprise to me, but the animation and music were amazing. The story is a bit simplistic, but it's easy to find it emotionally engaging - and I really liked the angle chosen for the ending, it was wholesome. Overall everything fit well together, from start to finish. As a highlight for me, I loved the rainy landscape animations used between the MCs meetings.

Kuroshitsuji: Book of Murder
Mini Review: That was pretty solid. I figured I would enjoy this one and I was correct. I didn't quite enjoy it as much as Book of Circus, but I have it higher than the original series. For a brief moment, I thought maybe Ciel was genuinely unaware of the situation. That was very foolish of me. I really enjoyed the sequences after the mystery ended. Though, it was kind of a recap, it was great to see Sebastian's viewpoint on the events that took place. It is never dull in the Phatomhive household, that is for sure.
Sennen Joyuu
　Mini Review: The direction in this movie is top-notch. As expected coming from Satoshi Kon. The surreal mixture and projection of the story events alongside the movie industry was the strength of this film. I found this aspect most fascinating. I just didn't like any of the characters. I think that was what held me back from max enjoyment. Still, I thought the movie was solid and can see why others think of it as a masterpiece.
Tomodachi Game
　Mini Review: This was a fun series. I enjoyed the back and forth mind games and strategies being played. It reminded me a lot of Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor. Even though I liked Kaiji better than this, Tomodachi Game was still a solid alternative to that series. It was a bit of a bummer that it ended so abruptly and didn't finish the story though.
The Cockpit
　Mini Review: Oof, the Axis propaganda is strong in this one. We have the good Nazi saving the world from an atomic bomb in the first episode. The art, music and sound is really solid, tbh. The story though is laughable. Very weak start to the OVA series. There are some really weird character designs in the second and third episodes. Not sure why they put these young child-appealing type of characters into this kind of war story. They look ridiculous compared to the other art used in the series. The second story was probably the best one of the three. The suicide bomber angle is interesting and I felt something in those final moments. However, still so much Axis propaganda mixed into the dialog. The third story was pretty silly, but it was entertaining. Overall this one had some actual nice qualities mixed in with some, "so bad it is good," qualities, and then some flat out bad qualities. Best word for my feelings about this one is, "mixed."

　Mini Review: For me, this is an example of a series containing the best kind of "edge" in anime. The kind where the edgey themes and moments are directly linked to the philosophy of the story and its villain. A pretentious kind of edge, if you will. The villain was great which is pretty rare in itself. To top it off, it has one of those endings that MAL hates, but I love. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Liar Liar

　Mini Review: Well, that was bad. I was hoping the games would at least be interesting, but they were not. It really hurts the stakes in the games when you know that the solution will ultimately be the MC cheating his way to victory. Deus ex machina is also a big issue with this anime when it comes to the various powers/abilities that are used. At least the OP was fantastic. May'n <3
Jormungand
Mini Review: While I did enjoy this one, I expected to like it even more than I did. Every time that I felt like it was really getting good and starting to peak, it would flatten back out again. So, maybe I just need to watch the rest of the series. Koko was a very interesting female lead. Though, I didn't really get invested in most of the other characters except maybe Valmet.
Hiyokoi
Mini Review: Well, it had some cute moments. There was not a whole lot else going for it though. Pretty standard story with cliche conflicts. It wasn't terrible for a quick watch, but if this were a full series, I would be passing on this one.

Id: Invaded
　Mini Review: Wow, I thought this series was phenomenal. I did guess the main villain very early on, but it didn't hurt my enjoyment in the slightest. Some of the Id Well sequences were both artistically and intellectually engaging. Basically every character that got significant focus in the series was interesting and entertaining. One of those series that have you thinking about it long after finishing. Just an absolute gem of a series for me.
Devil's Line
　Mini Review: This one had an awful start. The first few episodes were so, so bad. However, it did even out a bit. I wouldn't say it become good, but it became tolerable. The main guy's craving struggles were fairly interesting. Also, plus points for the Human x Non-Human romance angle even though I really despised the main girl. A lot of the other characters were pretty bad, too. I imagine I will have forgotten basically everything that happened by this time next year.
Star Dust
　Mini Review: I was not expecting all of the racial stereotypes and general racist comments in this one. It was odd because it was going for a positive and progressive message based on the ending. However, it was an extremely 90's way of going about it. Some of the animation was actually decent. Other than that, there was nothing else worth noting positively. I guess the unintentional humor could be seen as a positive depending on what you are in the mood for. The plot point concerning the throwing of trash into the sun leading to increased solar flares was a solid chuckle for me, at least.
Yoru no Kuni
　Mini Review: The art style was fantastic in this one. I also really enjoyed the designs of the characters. Particularly, Yoru's character. The stories themselves were just ok. Nothing too special. I really enjoyed the music in this one too. I noticed after I finished that Aimer did the music, so makes sense it was very good. I wish this one was a full length series, or at the very least, had 20+ minute episodes to fully immerse the viewer in the story and art. Still, it was an enjoyable watch.

　Mini Review: The art was nice in this one. Not on par with the original, but it still had its moments. I also thought there were some fun moments, but just like all of the other FLCL sequels, it feels like it is missing something. Still, a decent enough watch.
Ladyspo
　Mini Review: I knew this would be bad, but I didn't expect the complete lack of animation altogether. If you were going to make an "anime" without animation, why would you choose a sports themed anime? Quite the baffling series with this one. I will give it some credit. It definitely satisfied my momentary desire to watch something bad. [Pending Completion]
Gunslinger Girl
　Mini Review: I remember adding this to my PTW a long time ago, but I never got around to it until now. If I knew how serious and heavy this series was, I would have watched it sooner. The tone of the series, while sad and depressing, was excellent. The philosophical and ethical questions an episode raised, had me pondering the repercussions in subsequent episodes. This chaining of thoughts made every moment feel connected all the way up until the end. I honestly enjoyed the ambiguous ending to the season, so I might just skip season 2. At least for a while.
Akudama Drive
　Mini Review: The art and animation really carried in this one. The characters were super weak. Particularly, the characters that made it all the way to the end. This made the emotional moments pass with little impact on me as a viewer. I'm not generally the target audience for these kind of high energy, action focused series. They have to be pretty special for my brain to give them my full respect. It wasn't a total bust though. Like I stated, it was very nice to look at and the soundtrack was solid.

Aiyou de Mishi
　Mini Review: It was a series with an unusual theme, because I had never seen an anime about escape rooms before. Interesting puzzles and rooms, strange and mysterious events, but sometimes a bit of boredom. This is how you can describe this series. Unfortunately, I found the ending very disappointing.
Higeki no Genkyou to Naru Saikyou Gedou Last Boss Joou wa Tami no Tame ni Tsukushimasu.
　Mini Review: Well, I finished another series of the "reborn in otome game" type and I honestly admit that it was very good. The characters of this anime are very nice and interestingly presented, especially Pride, whom I liked very much, but I like also the rest of the characters. Maybe the world wasn't described in any particular way, apart from the kingdom in which our characters live, but it is governed by interesting rules such as supernatural powers and pacts, which I don't think I've encountered before, which was an interesting idea. I want to see a sequel that will probably never be made :(
Okashi na Tensei
　Mini Review: Honestly, I didn't expect this series to be so good. Okay, maybe the plot was about sweets, but that's not all the series has to offer, which is a very good point. The characters were so cute both in appearance and character (it's impossible not to like these cuties).
Ou Dorobou Jing
　Mini Review: Mostly episodic series are a bit boring to me, but not this one. Each story is interesting, all the characters were unique, which made it enjoyed to watch their struggles. There was something about this series that's missing from newer anime, but I can't really say what. Anyway, I highly recommend it.

Gintama: Yorinuki Gintama-san on Theater 2D
　Mini Review: Well, it was actually two movies summarizing the plot of the anime. I may have known the plot from the TV series, but I watched it a long time ago, so watching them was a good way to remember the story. But honestly, I'm not a fan of these arcs. Although the one about Hijikata's cursed sword was much better.
Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon
　Mini Review: At first I didn't really know what it was about, but that quickly changed. Quite an interesting world. There were some fanservice elements, but they were negligible and added some humor. However, there were definitely too many characters in this series, which I don't know if it can be described as a plus or a minus.
Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon II
　Mini Review: There's a lot going on in the sequel from the very beginning, which makes me want to watch the next episodes. A big plus is that the plot of the second season focuses on other characters, not just Toori and Horizon. I still think that the idea of recreating history is an interesting plot device. I just don't understand why Toori was naked practically the entire season. I would love to receive a third season, but after so many years since the premiere, the chances for it are probably slim, or even zero.
Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon: Kyokutou Naruhodo Kouza
　Mini Review: This was a pretty cool addition explaining how some things work in the series. But it could look better, because these graphics look like they were drawn by a little child. If it weren't for the fact that it was shown a bit like a VN, I wouldn't have known what the characters were talking about, because thanks to the translation of the image I somehow watched it, because there is no translation.

Fire Emblem
　Mini Review: I didn't expect much from this OVA and I was right. I didn't really know what was happening or why it was happening, it was all just shown too quickly and, of course, unfinished. I think it would have been more interesting if it had had more episodes, but it still wasn't bad to watch.
Ginga Ojousama Densetsu Yuna: Kanashimi no Siren
　Mini Review: This OVA was really weird, not only in terms of plot, but in general. While watching it, I felt as if I had skipped a season of the anime and started the story from the "middle". There were way too many characters for two episodes, although fortunately the plot focused only on a few and the rest were an addition. A strange idea for a series and I think it would look better as a TV series with the plot shown "from the beginning".
Jujutsu Kaisen
　Mini Review: Usually when it comes to curses, exorcists get rid of them, but not in this anime. I didn't expect fights with curses that take strange forms and it was really interesting. I liked the plot focused on the "vector" of one of the worst curses (if I may write so), and actually the rest of the characters too. The fight animation was really great. The only thing I can complain about are those unnecessary pseudo-comedy stories shown after the ending of each episode. Due to this, the rating dropped from 9/10 to 8/10.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie
　Mini Review: Before watching this film, I could tell from the title that it would concern events from before the TV series, but I did not expect that it would concern a character who did not appear in it. I won't say that Yuuta's curse was presented very well, but apart from him, we also got something more about the characters we already knew from the anime. I had a lot of fun watching this movie and I can honestly say that the movie was better than the TV series. I'm glad I watched it after the first season and not before it.

　Mini Review: Before watching this movie, I expected something better, but it was confusing from the very beginning. Lots of chaotic action and fighting and another revenge story movie, which was good to watch, but the plot could have been a little better. At least the characters were cool, although I didn't like how one of them was treated, but thanks to that the plot somehow go ahed. After the ending, it looks as if it wasn't over yet, so if a sequel ever comes out, I'll probably watch it, but I doubt they'll make it.
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Break Time 2nd Season
　Mini Review: I really don't like this style of anime, but since I like Re:Zero, I had a lot of fun with it. This is a good a treat for fans of this series. I liked showing the dialogues of characters that were missing in the main series, so I think it was a good addition to the story.
Sennen Joyuu
　Mini Review: It was certainly quite a unusual movie. I liked how it was presented as a story from the past. And the fact that her movies' plots coincided with this whole search. If I were to compare this movie to something, the movie Titanic comes to mind because the form of presenting the story is similar (an old woman talking about what she experienced). Overall, this movie was good to watch.
Tenki no Ko
　Mini Review: This was such a good movie that I'm surprised I didn't know anything about it before. I really like this type of plot. I think I liked all the characters, the backgrounds were really nice and everything was well thought out. Maybe not everything was explained (I don't want to say what, because it's a spoiler), but overall the movie was really good to watch. If anyone is reading this and hasn't seen this movie, I really recommend it.

　Mini Review: Writing a review about recap episodes can be a bit tricky. I watched them because it had been a while since I saw season one, and I wanted to refresh my memory before diving into season 2’s Shibuya arc. Generally, I’m not a fan of recap episodes, but these were really well done. They summarized the most important points effectively, and it wasn’t boring or tiring. Surprisingly, I enjoyed both episodes quite a lot. Overall, while it’s not a must-watch, for a recap, it was really well executed.
Shiguang Dailiren Fan Wai Pian: Biwu Zhaoqin
　Mini Review: As a devoted fan of Shiguang Dailiren, I also found this special episode quite enjoyable. The story isn’t directly tied to the main plot of the series, but it delivers a light-hearted yet heartwarming tale about love and the consequences of pursuing your goals. The ending holds a delightful twist. The animation, design, and music maintain the same solid quality as the main storyline. While watching this episode isn’t mandatory, I still recommend it because it’s definitely worth your time.
Shiguang Dailiren II
　Mini Review: I really enjoyed the first season of Shiguang Dailiren and had high hopes for the second season, especially after the cliffhanger in the last episode of season one. The continuation didn’t disappoint me, but I still wished for more. The animation quality remained consistently good, and the music was enjoyable. However, I wasn’t a fan of repeatedly seeing the same scenes from different perspectives. It was interesting at first, but it became tiring. Additionally, having so many characters with special time-traveling and mind-control abilities felt a bit overwhelming. They tried hard to make this season unique, but unfortunately, they lost some of the amazing atmosphere from season one. Overall, it’s still a great anime, especially for fans of time travel stories.
Undead Girl Murder Farce
　Mini Review: I really enjoy detective stories, so when I saw “Undead Girl Murder Farce” on the workshop list, I decided to give the anime a shot. The idea of blending Sherlock Holmes and other famous figures with “monster hunting” surprised me. While some cases intrigued me, the animation quality was solid. The overall mood and music were okay, but nothing extraordinary. In short, it’s a decent anime with some interesting surprises, though I hoped for more complex cases. Sometimes, it felt a bit predictable.

Ame-iro Cocoa Series: Ame-con!!
　Mini Review: The latest installment of Ame-iro Cocoa is disappointingly worse than its three predecessors. Despite my usual efforts to find positive aspects in anime, this one presents a challenge. The lack of a coherent plot and unclear connection to the previous part make it difficult to engage with. The characters are uninteresting, there’s minimal action, and the opening fails to capture my attention. Overall, I cannot recommend it.
Ame-iro Cocoa: Side G
　Mini Review: Side G is the final installment of Ame-iro Cocoa. In this series, the main characters are girls, so I was hoping for some yuri vibes. Although it wasn’t a yuri anime, it was still much better than seasons 3 and 4. The animation and music were quite average, and the plot was nothing special. However, it wasn’t a complete waste of time.
Kaichuu!
　Mini Review: I didn’t have high expectations for this short anime. Initially, I thought it might be quite disappointing, but it surprised me with moments of enjoyment. With only four episodes, the plot couldn’t be very elaborate, but it did have its charming moments. The characters were somewhat stereotypical, and the storyline was predictable. The animation and music were also quite average. However, it does have its funny moments, making it a light and enjoyable entertainment option if you don’t have anything better to watch.
One Piece: Kinkyuu Kikaku One Piece Kanzen Kouryakuhou
　Mini Review: This episode serves as a recap, summarizing the initial five episodes of the series. Having originally watched these episodes back in the early 2000s, I now find myself quite enjoying this recap. I reflect on how animation styles have evolved and how the story has developed over time. Although the beginnings shown in the recap are very straightforward and simple, I appreciate them a lot. Overall, it’s not particularly remarkable—a recap to watch during leisure moments. I’d recommend it mainly to devoted fans of the One Piece franchise.

Chainsaw Man
　Mini Review: Chainsaw Man has been one of the most hyped anime series in recent two years, so naturally, I had high expectations that it would blow my mind. While it was good and genuinely enjoyable to watch, I found the music particularly memorable. However, that’s where the excitement ended. There are numerous similar anime shows in the shounen genre, and I was genuinely puzzled by the excessive praise for this one. Undoubtedly, it has potential, but perhaps better execution would have elevated it further. My main issue lies with the characters—they lack likability and seem designed solely to shock viewers. Unfortunately, this lack of emotional connection makes it hard for me to invest in their stories. In my opinion, Chainsaw Man is decent but not particularly special, and the characters come across as rather dull. Given the intriguing premise, I expected more.
Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!
　Mini Review: Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! has received high praise as an isekai anime in recent years. Initially, I found myself struggling to connect with the story during the first few episodes. The concept of the “cult of diablos” felt overwhelming, and the plot seemed to be racing ahead at breakneck speed. Despite my initial struggle to engage with the first few episodes, I gradually appreciated its world-building, diverse characters, and ironic take on the isekai genre. The captivating music (Moonlight sonata was the best:)) and animation also contributed to my overall enjoyment. In the end, I was convinced enough to continue watching into the second season.
Yoru no Kuni
　Mini Review: I picked another short anime from the list, and it pleasantly surprised me. Convincing viewers to appreciate short films or series can be challenging, but this anime excels in doing so. The captivating atmosphere, beautiful music, and unique main character, Yoru, left a lasting impression. I wouldn’t mind encountering Yoru in a dreamlike nocturnal world. The way the anime tackled the heroines’ problems was intriguing, but what truly stood out was the overall ambiance.

　Mini Review: I find myself uncertain about what to say regarding this short story. It lacks any remarkable qualities and its plot is rather dull. It falls into the category of series that fade from memory shortly after viewing. However, there were a few redeeming aspects. The opening was pleasant, and by the third episode, I found myself humming along. Additionally, the presence of a dog in the story added a certain charm. I also appreciate the notion of sipping coffee or cocoa on rainy days, and during my viewing, I indulged in two extra cups of coffee. In summary, it is not very bad, but I cannot recommend it.
Ame-iro Cocoa in Hawaii
　Mini Review: I had hoped that season 3 would improve upon season 2. It was hard for me to imagine that it could be worse, but unfortunately, it is. In fact, it’s truly dreadful. I regret the time I spent watching it. This series shifts its focus to new characters, which I didn’t appreciate in season two, and it feels even worse in season three. The plot is incredibly dull, and the overall atmosphere is nonexistent. Generally, when I start a collection or follow a franchise, I make an effort to watch all its parts. That’s why I watched this season, but it turned out to be very disappointing.
Ame-iro Cocoa: Rainy Color e Youkoso!
　Mini Review: I found Ame-iro Cocoa disappointing, but season two managed to be even worse. The sequel seems to lack the few redeeming qualities that were present in the first season (except for the opening, which remains the same). Unfortunately, the second season merely recycles the same plot devices from the first, without any meaningful character development. Additionally, it shifts focus to the different characters, which I didn’t appreciate. Overall, it’s rather dull, and I cannot recommend it to anyone.
Mignon
　Mini Review: I’m a fan of BL—no, I absolutely love it. Naturally, I was very intrigued by this anime. Despite its short episodes, the story is very captivating. The atmosphere is well-crafted, and both the main characters (MC and ML) are nicely developed and designed. Given its brevity, there’s limited room for an intricate plot, yet I appreciate how effectively the series utilizes its time. And yes, the tastefully executed intimate scene in the final episodes was a pleasant surprise. Overall, this short anime perfectly aligns with my BL preferences.

Texhnolyze
　Mini Review: It's interesting seeing how the approach to worldbuilding tends to be completely different in older series than a lot of shows nowadays. While being drip fed info isn't non-existent now, a lot of shows try to dump exposition to try and make themselves seem unique, vs here where you learn almost nothing in the first episode, and only slowly build from there. Paired with the overall atmosphere of the show, it makes a unique experience that I'm glad to have now, even though I felt like it fell off towards the end.
Kekkai Sensen: Ousama no Restaurant no Ousama
　Mini Review: Every time I watch another bit of Kekkai Sensen, I'm reminded of how fun the cast and worldbuilding is. These side stories have been great in fleshing out both, with Leo getting to hang out with Femt of all people in a new area of the city. Both this and the recap have really made me want to get back into watching the series, and possibly pick up the manga once I'm caught up there.
Eiga Daisuki Pompo-san
　Mini Review: A really fun watch, and I'm glad I found the source of that gif here, otherwise there's no way I would've been able to source that. The way that the movie making process is displayed is very eye-catching and kept me engaged despite the lack of traditional action or (for the most part) drama. The main detractor for me was that it does play into the unhealthy habits and expectations of the industry as a good thing, with no downsides.

　Mini Review: It follows the same pattern a bit too much to enjoy for the runtime of the show. And then Inga was constantly getting on my nerves in their kid form, which they spent most of the time in. The setting was pretty interesting, but not really explored beyond what was necessary to set up any of the mysteries, like with that Information Act that kept popping up.
Victorian Maid Maria no Houshi
　Mini Review: Finally, a popular hentai that's basically vanilla and has consent. Technically there's still the master-servant relationship which isn't the best but I'm used to so much worse. Other than that it was pretty competently put together, not spending too long on any particular scenes.

　Mini Review: We've gone from Subaru physically suffering the whole season to him mentally suffering for a whole season. I'm glad that Subaru's working on his self image, because that's what's been holding him back from being a good person. I really hope the witches will be able to continue showing up after this, since they're all fun characters. Episode 11 in particular was exceptional, and I'm looking forward to watching the next part of S2.
Kobayashi ga Kawai sugite Tsurai!!
　Mini Review: It was too short to really get into anything here, so I didn't really get anything out of it. The general premise didn't inspire me to go read the manga for it either, I have too many other romances that are probably better in my backlog. And then they had the gall to basically ignore any of the main romance to have a gag episode In A Two Episode OVA which wasted the already short runtime.
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Movie: Kurenai Densetsu
　Mini Review: I've been falling off the KonoSuba train gradually, and while KonoBaku helped a bit, this movie did not. Not to say it's bad or anything, it's just not quite worth the effort of watching compared to venturing into new series or watching adaptations of other series that I like more. At least I'm ready for the third season if my friends end it together when it airs as this was apparently a sequel movie.

5-toubun no Hanayome ∬
　Mini Review: I'm glad Bibury got this because some of my favorite panels from the manga showed up here and got done with justice. It's still a bit goofy how bad everyone is at telling the five apart, even more so now that there's the voice acting as an additional differentiator. Overall the pacing felt a bit off, with like a big climax at ~ episode 4, and the final episode of solid arc, but not with as much impact. It's been a while since I read manga so I'm not sure if it happened originally, but it also feels like there were some sizeable jumps in the timeline.
Eiken: Eikenbu yori Ai wo Komete
　Mini Review: I don't know what I expected from this given all I knew was the outrageous boob physics, but it certainly wasn't vaguely romance in a miscellaneous club. This is going with Gakkou no Kaidan's dub as "the clips seen online are all you really need to see of it. Overall a frustratingly standard ecchi title where I don't feel that either leaning into it or leaning away from it would make it any better.
Penguin Highway
　Mini Review: As a penguin lover this movie is made for me. A nice lady who can create penguins out of anything, and some kids who are studying THE OCEAN ORB. A fun watch, with plenty of nice normal supporting parents and the kids getting to do reasonably kid level science experiments.

　Mini Review: It's crazy how little I know about the characters after watching this (like, not even most of their names) but still am completely ok with that. They're all just having a good time commanding tanks together and I can get behind that. My main issue with the plot is they're basically forced to win for plot reasons, but there's usually enough good moments in the competitions to make it enjoyable to watch. I'm kinda sad that Anchovy isn't like actually in the show despite being the only character I knew going into the show, but I guess that just means I need to watch the supplementary materials.
Ano Ko to Ii Koto
　Mini Review: I appreciate that there's actually some time spent giving the characters, you know, actual personalities. I'd be rating this much higher if not for one of the tags in the second episode, kinda wish that the episodes were different entries for that reason. Since I added this to my PTW based on the cover image, and that's what the first episode what about, I'm satisfied with my intuition.
Omae Umasou da na
　Mini Review: Ok I see why this is so well received, it's a wholesome chain of extending kindness to others. I know there's a couple other related series, but I'm pretty good leaving it at this movie for now, I think the story was well told and self contained. I definitely want to show this one to my mom and she will cry.

Mini Review: I went into this with moderate expectations, was impressed by how the anime dealt with some of the visual gags, and then got hit with the fact that the story's just kinda boring like when I tried reading it. In addition the soundtrack goes unnecessarily hard (good thing). Like they throw in so many lyrical tracks in moderate stakes, which I'm used to only showing up in the climaxes of entire shows. Too bad the show has essentially two jokes and the characters are pretty much all a nuisance.

The emotional depth of this anime's portrayal of wartime Japan resonated deeply with me, despite its reliance on still images for animation. With raw honesty, the narrative delves into the struggles and sacrifices of its characters amidst the backdrop of conflict. Surprisingly, even within its short 31-minute runtime, I found myself fully immersed in the story, gaining an understanding of 'The Battle of Okinawa' despite having no prior knowledge of it. Would definitely like to learn more about the history of Japan at some point.

　Mini Review:
A captivating anime that I couldn't stop binge-watching. The animation was fantastic, though there were a few moments that didn't quite hit the mark for me. The opening and ending sequences stood out as truly impressive. Defo will be listening to them non-stop now. The story was quite interesting although it seemed to heavily focus on two characters more than the others. Surprisingly, I found this emphasis necessary and didn't mind it at all. Love how each card has different powers and the decks themselves were pretty. I wish they were real lol. Will defo be watching S2 once it has fully aired.
Anime de Wakaru Shinryounaika ✅

This anime was an absolute delight to watch, blending humor and psychology in a way that kept me thoroughly entertained from start to finish. As a fan of both comedy and psychological anime, I found myself drawn to the quirky characters and witty dialogue that brought complex psychological concepts to life in a refreshingly light-hearted manner. It was a joy to watch, and I found myself not only laughing along with the antics of the characters but also gaining a deeper understanding of psychology in the process (although me being me I'll likely forget lol). Overall, "Anime de Wakaru Shinryounaika" was a delightful and enriching experience that I wholeheartedly enjoyed.

This was a very short anime which I thought was fine but nothing special. There were only 4 episodes and each episode had a different story about the cat and the girl, his owner. Some of the stories were nice and sad and I was able to feel some sort of connection whilst others, for me, were a bit boring. The animation itself wasn't anything fancy plus there wasn't much in terms of background music. The OP/ED were quite cute but I didn't like them as much I usually like cute OPs/EDs. To be honest, it felt like an obligation to watch this rather than for my own enjoyment.

I'm completely lost after watching that short anime. It wasn't my cup of tea at all. Although a few episodes had their funny moments, I was so disengaged that I couldn't even grasp the overall plot, assuming there was one to begin with. I did love the voice acting but that's all. I honestly don't know what else to say. I was to shell-shocked to even think about how I felt lol.

I didn't expect Cipher to take on a more music video-style approach, and it was my first experience with this kind of anime. Though I was initially taken aback, I thought the music was excellent, and the occasional dialogue added a decent touch. But because of my personal preferences, I found it difficult to understand completely, which is why I gave it a lower score. Despite this, I appreciated the animation, especially considering it's from an older anime.

Despite being a very short movie, it had an interesting concept. Although, I didn't quite enjoy it due to it being a bit repetitive for some parts of it. However, the story itself, in my opinion, was a bit dark not because of the animation but because of what the characters were saying. Each character had their own backstory which was explained nicely plus at the end it gave us a "where are they now" kinda feel which was quite nice as I was not left wondering what the characters were doing. The animation was very nice as well as the background music. Some of the characters were a bit annoying. Additionally, I didn't like the ending as much as towards the end I got a bit confused as to how we got to that conclusion.
Vampire Holmes ✅

The anime has a catchy opening but quickly disappoints me with its lackluster animation and underdeveloped storyline. While the premise of supernatural investigations held promise, the execution fell short, resulting in a lack of attention from me. I could not focus on the anime at all. Despite sporadic moments of humour, the overall experience fails to leave a lasting impression on me. With improvements in animation quality and a more cohesive narrative, I could have given Vampire Holmes a higher rating, but as it stands, it remains a forgettable anime. But I know for a fact that I will definitely be singing the opening lol.

This anime provided a refreshing twist on the slice-of-life genre, which isn't typically my go-to. While it followed a simple storyline that felt a bit repetitive at times, I suppose that's part of its charm. The animation fell somewhere in the middle for me, not particularly outstanding but not terrible either. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was missing a certain something. Despite this, there were many moments where I found myself relating to the characters, which added to the enjoyment. It felt oddly familiar, like watching snippets of my own life with friends. I just wish there was more to the series, as I would've liked to give it a higher rating.

It was nice to see a glimpse into Eris' character independent of her dynamic with Rudy. The special featured decent animation quality consistent with the original series. However, in my opinion, the side story lacks a significant contribution to the main plot. There wasn't much development into Eris as a character or the story itself. The unresolved subplot involving Cliff left me wanting more closure. It would have been nice to learn more about him and who he was. Maybe he was in the second season but I watched that months ago and can't remember lol.
Byousoku 5 Centimeter ✅
　Mini Review:
I finished this later than I had anticipated. I was astonished by Byousoku 5 Centimeter's breathtaking animation, which displays Makoto Shinkai's artistic talent. However, the movie falls short of providing a compelling and cohesive story. I was confused by the unclear plot, which left out a lot of important information and made it difficult to comprehend the motivations and actions of the characters. The stress of attempting to piece together a disjointed tale overshadows the powerful emotional moments. The movie eventually gives aesthetics more weight than narrative, which makes for an aesthetically pleasing but ultimately disappointing viewing experience. Additionally despite being split into 3 episodes which, to be honest, I didn't mind but for the consistency of the story, it did not work, for me anyways.
Kaze Tachinu ✅
　Mini Review:
The Wind Rises swept me away with its breathtaking animation, poignant storytelling, and deep emotional resonance. As a fan of Studio Ghibli's masterpieces, I was captivated by the film's richly detailed world and the intricacies of its characters' lives. The story of Jiro Horikoshi, a visionary aircraft designer, unfolded with a graceful elegance that left me both inspired and deeply moved. The film beautifully explored themes of creativity, ambition, love, and the passage of time, weaving them together into a tapestry of human experience that lingered with me long after the credits rolled. From its stunning visuals to its hauntingly beautiful soundtrack, The Wind Rises is a masterpiece in every sense of the word, deserving of the highest praise and admiration. I wish I could watch it again for the first time.

　Mini Review: The first half of the story bored me a lot since it just made me sleepy but I really enjoyed the second half. I love the musical part and the part in the school festival. It is like watching a fever dream where I need to understand what even is happening. There are times that I don't understand what is happening but later on I get it. I gotta admit, this anime is such a unique one.

　Mini Review: I gotta say this anime is interesting. I don't have any idea about Kafka's work and after watching I've decided to also read its story to understand more about it. Well, turns out I kinda misinterpret the last part but overall I get the message it wants to convey. The animation makes it creepy and there are parts of it that make me uncomfortable to watch. Maybe it's because of its animation? But anyway, I enjoy it.
Sekiei Ayakashi Mangatan
　Mini Review: It seems like this anime has an interesting storyline. With only 3 episodes, it only covers one story and I want more of it. I like this kind of story where the MC fights demons but instead, the MC here paints demons. It makes me want the manga since it really captures my interest. I want to know more about his backstory and meet different clients with each story to tell.
"Oshi no Ko"
　Mini Review: I'm really curious about this anime and even though I'm not a big fan of Idols, I still watched it. I do love reincarnation and some revenge type of thing so I enjoy it. It also shows how awful entertainment is in real life where a lot of people are so mean especially the cyber bullying. This anime shows the struggles of everyone in the entertainment industry which makes me appreciate how difficult it is to create a series or movies. The OP and ED are so bangers that I already memorized the whole song especially the "IDOL" song from Yoasobi.

　Mini Review: What a nice prologue for Season 2. It makes me excited and the new characters are quite interesting. I'm kinda liking Princess Ariel's personality. The way Slyphie makes her entrance is so cool and Princess Ariel's singing voice is beautiful. Their bond is also cute and I thought it was going to be GL. I like the politics going on here and it makes me realize how I missed the political banter between siblings.
Go! Go! Ackman
　Mini Review: For a short anime, the story is okay. It is your typical angel vs demon where the demon is the MC. It is quite entertaining the way they make the jokes and the animation really reminds me of Dragon Ball. Well, it's written by the same author so it has the same vibes. I wonder whether some of the characters here show up at Dragon Balls.
Inuki Kanako Zekkyou Collection: Gakkou ga Kowai!
　Mini Review: This is such a nice OVA from the 90's. I've been looking for horror anime to watch and I admit I enjoy it. The animation is so good for the 90's and the horror aspects are there. I do love that it has four stories for different girls with Creepta. There are some scenes here that have good symbolism and Creepta is so creative in being the stalker and creep to girls. My favorite story is the last one since you can see the real personality of Creepta.
Yoru no Kuni
　Mini Review:Wow just wow. This ONA is so beautiful and it makes me emotional. I love how it started by telling a story and the art style, it is so beautiful. All 3 episodes make me cry and it gives me goosebumps every time the climax of the song is coming. Why does it only have 3 episodes? I want more of it. I want to see more of Yoru and more stories about struggles. What a hidden gem anime. Finally, an episodic anime that makes me emotional.

Cossette no Shouzou
　Mini Review: This OVA confuses me but I think I kinda understand at the end what this is all about. Cossette is so beautiful, it's no wonder why Eiri falls in love with her. The style of this OVA is so unique that it captures my interest even though I was so lost watching it. There are so many interesting shots and symbolism which makes it so artistic. I do understand why Cosette did that to Eiri but poor Eiri, why have innocent people always been tortured? I hope it has more episodes so I can truly understand its plot. One thing I can say about this OVA is do not fall in love with some spirit inside an artifact, or else something bad will happen to you.
Ame-iro Cocoa: Rainy Color e Youkoso!
　Mini Review: Another season in the Rainy Color saga. Well, there are new characters but I'm kinda like the characters from the 1st season. It is still short but it has a decent story than the 1st season. I do love the voice actor's segment since that's the first time I watched an anime with a seiyuu event. That segment entertains me and makes me laugh at their shenanigans.
Hoozuki no Reitetsu OVA
　Mini Review: I really enjoy this one. It makes me laugh at their jokes. Hoozuki is the best. His rivalry with Hakutaku makes me laugh. Poor Hakutaku though, has always been bullied by Hoozuki. I kinda of like the other characters too. They are such a funny cast to have around. Their dynamics with each other are so fun to watch.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Katanakaji no Sato-hen
　Mini Review: I enjoy this season of Kimetsu no Yaiba. I love their character development and I like Muichiro and Genya now. I kinda miss Zenitsu but those two stole the show for me. I've tried watching it with my headphones and oh my the music and the animation are really awesome. I can't wait to meet the other Hashiras and their backstories.

　Mini Review: It's been such a long since I last watched Psycho-Pass and I'm so happy to see the gang again. I'm not a fan of Inspector Mika but I guess she got a character development here. I'm so happy to see Akane again and Ginoza. I do like the case this time but I need more Akane screentime. The action and fighting scenes in this anime never change and the nostalgia I felt when I heard its op song again.
Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta.
　Mini Review: What did I just watch? This anime shook me to my core and questioned a lot of things. I kinda admit I do love the camera angles here and the story is quite interesting but still, it makes me speechless. The first episode makes me question, who does that. Like really, why? Again why? Just why? I can't believe this anime even exists.
Amefuri Kozou
　Mini Review: I can't believe this OVA will make me cry. The reason why I watched it is because the synopsis intrigued me and boy it didn't disappoint. It's like watching tales for kids that teach important lessons in life and I appreciate it. Well, maybe I just have a soft spot for friendships so this OVA resonates something in me. I just can't believe it's a second story so I'm curious to watch other stories from "The Lion Books" series.
Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte kara
　Mini Review:This anime is so cute! Sora and Chi-chan are such so cute couple. I want to have Sora too in my life. The episodes are so short like it just went in a blink of an eye. It makes me so happy and I want to taste Sora's drinks even though I'm not drinking alcohol. I wish this anime had long episodes since it's putting a smile on my face. I enjoy it!

[O] Golden Kamuy
　Mini Review: The backgrounds and scenery are done really well in this series; exhibiting great details of the wilderness areas the show is set in. However, the true standout in the series is the depiction of Ainu culture. It's easy to see why this series has garnered such positive feedback for this inclusion, as it is both detailed and seamless. Ainu language, traditions, and even food is on proud display in each episode, but without boring the audience to tears with blatant edutainment infodumps. The information given is done so in a place relevant to the storyline, such as when hunting for food, or visiting an Ainu village, or kotan. The developing friendship between the two main characters is complex and just adds the cherry on top. This season wraps up the opening act nicely and leads nicely to the second.

　Mini Review: I started out strong with these reviews and then gave up. Alas.
[O] Golden Kamuy OVA
　Mini Review: A solid, if somewhat generic yakuza battle plotline as an OVA for Golden Kamuy Season 01. This OVA covers the events of the final episode(s) but from the POV of side characters, which offers a nice insight into their characters as well as showing a potential alliance between some of them. One thing I particularly liked was that Shinpachi Nagakura gets a nice, if somewhat short, fight scene to show off his skills; something the main series so far had not given us. The animation quality is consistent with the first season, excellent blood, gore, and other effects present, although the background scenery is somewhat bland in many places as it takes place solely within a town, and take advantage of the beautiful, sprawling scenery the main series has to offer. Overall, it's a good companion piece if you just finished Golden Kamuy season 01 and eager for more, but not quite ready to dig your teeth into the next season.
[O] Tokyo Godfathers
　Mini Review: The graphics are strong with a charming style, with quality backgrounds depicting the city in good detail. A fairly muted color palette creates a suitable atmosphere. The initial three main characters have an excellent family dynamic between them. The show also has some excellent queer and trans rep for it's time and also holds up well with modern standards. There are some clever easter eggs included, such as movie posters for other works from the same studio, including Millennium Actress and Perfect Blue. A series of bizarre coincidences seem to align in the hunt for the family of the newborn baby, at times surreal, others comedic, with everything lining up to be an excellent story of found family and adventure, with a focus on the relationships between characters rather than the end destination.

[O] "Oshi no Ko"
　Mini Review: A visual wonderland that seems sweet and adorable at first glance, but once it sinks it's teeth into you, it will peel back the skin of the darkness that lurks under the surface. Irrelevant of anything else, this is a very high value production. The music is top notch, with opening theme 'Idol' by YOASOBI being a runaway hit, and catchy vocals for the ED as well. However, despite the complex themes available to partake in, it falls short of anything too dark. Offering just a taste of what hides beneath leaves the viewer wanting more, but as yet it is not delivered. Still, everything is of such good quality that even this shortcoming in plot can be overlooked for a highly enjoyable, though not completely overwhelming experience.

　Mini Review: An interesting and mysterious world starts off strong and touches on some heavy subjects. Excellent visuals and a strong stylish aesthetic, plus the audio, were excellent. Overall, it was an enjoyable series to watch, but I definitely wanted a second season at the end.

　Mini Review: A series of disconnected stories with somewhat bland characters. Nothing really stood out plotwise, though the music and opening visuals were passable. The rest of the animation was rather stiff and cookie-cutter. The series tried to show compelling scenes lost love, and so forth, but just ended up being a boring snoozefest or painful to watch. Some characters are totally nonsensical in their behavior as well, with random scenes almost as if a toddler wrote it.
[O] Bara no Hana to Joe
　Mini Review: The budget and style of this one is pretty old-school, to be expected from 1977. It's only a short and so there isn't a lot to say to be honest. The animation is adequate if not overly thrilling, and the characters by Sanrio are charming enough. The story is quite light, the movie itself is intended for young children so they kept it very basic although it is still enjoyable. No spoilers, but the ending may catch you. Some things are very strange though, like the planes made of clouds dropping 'bombs' and the bomb is just butterflies.

　Mini Review: The animation is pretty good, dated obviously from 1994 but the production value is still fine. There's a real gothic style to it, a lot of dark and broody atmosphere present. For some reason the version I started to watch at first was dubbed and good lord the dub made me want to drink acid, but the subbed version is no better, with black writing and a dark blue glow, so be aware. There are some real disturbing scenes of torture. A real dystopian tale. Overall it feels like a mixed bag of different genres and themes, as if the writers couldn't decide what they wanted to show. Sci-fi, fantasy, psychological? In the end though, it's a fun watch, albeit weird and somewhat confusing at times.

Blind Night | Rx
　Mini Review: There were multiple things happening that I've never seen in hentai made after 2000 before. These unique lowlights highlights included the VA lines being off from the characters' mouths by MULTIPLE seconds, randomly bleeping out an explicit word, and adding a recap at the end of episode 1 that had less censoring than the actual episode. They also managed to somehow not make the show look better despite completely changing the artstyle to make it look more modern in episode 3. It's approaching "so bad it's good" territory. It's not great or even average, but it gave me a few good laughs and I would actually consider recommending it to someone who wanted to watch a bad hentai. I can appreciate it for how trashy it is and how terrible the production was.

That being said... score: 3 (lol)
Youkoso! Sukebe Elf no Mori e | Rx
　Mini Review: I don't think this is worth being the 9th highest ranked hentai, and it's probably my least favorite of the current top 10, although a lot of that is due to personal taste. Large harems and the "I look like a loli but I'm not a human so I'm actually 1000 years old" tropes aren't typically my favorite in hentai, so I wasn't interested in this one. I get that the appeal are the female characters, but the MC not having eyes is also particularly annoying. I would expect no eyes from something like [s]PowerPoint Studio[/b] Queen Bee or some random no-name hentai studio, but not from T-Rex/Bunnywalker, who are basically popular because of their animation/art/production quality. I can see why people enjoy it, but it personally wasn't that great to me. It's just fine, so it gets a 5.

　Mini Review: The final episode is where this hentai shines. A complete shift in POV and storytelling, it actually has decent worldbuilding in that episode, along with more of a focus on a particular character rather than just the sex. I can't say that actual worldbuilding in a hentai made in the late 2010s was on my BINGO card... However, the downside to having all of that great stuff in the final episode is that there was no way they were going to be able to have a good conclusion/tell that entire story in time, which was disappointing. If I could have one more episode to get an actual conclusion, I would seriously consider giving this an 8 or a 9, but some things are too good to be true. With three fine episodes, and one great one, I have no issue giving this a higher score for a hentai.

　Mini Review: Another decent one! It's clear that unlike Blind Night, there was atleast some dedication to quality here (atleast the VAs [mostly] match up their voices with the characters' mouths!). And to be honest, for a hentai from 1994, it looks better than I thought it would. The anime reflects back on its main premise often enough to where you don't just forget about the story in favor of explicit scenes, something completely lost in most modern hentai that attempt to tell a "story." The dude the main girls are supposed to protect is very annoying, but thankfully he doesn't get a ton of screentime. It's themes definitely aren't for everybody, but you could certainly do much worse.

Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season - Kanketsu-hen
　Mini Review: Man, is it really over? As usual, the animation, music, and emotions are all top notch. I love that every significant character got some screentime in the finale, closing their own stories and showcasing the growth they've had from season 1 to now. AOT was an enjoyable ride all the way through, whether it was the plot twists, the action scenes, or even season 2 which didn't have much action. It pains me to say goodbye, but I'll always look back on AOT as a great experience, one that's unique and probably won't ever be replicated by another show in its entirety. It's definitely shounen done right. I haven't read the manga, but if this is the ending that the readers were complaining about, I can't see why.

86 Special Edition: Senya ni Akaku Hinageshi no Saku
　Mini Review: 86 has a lot of time spent on worldbuilding, character interaction, character growth, and themes like politics and social classes. It's my favorite TV-series and this recap definitely managed to bring back some of those feelings I had while watching it as it aired. To me, that means it's a great recap. The max I'll give a recap is a 7, so consider this a 6/7 and not a 6/10. As my second favorite female anime character, I enjoy that it's told from Lena's POV both in terms of personal preference as well as for the recap's quality. It was fun to rewatch some of 86's moments, but also bad, as it reminded me there's still no season 2 announcement. I really thought we would've gotten one by now given how popular the LNs are (atleast I think they are?) in Japan. Please, AniPlex.

Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta...
　Mini Review: Not my cup of tea. I went into it expecting a reverse harem with comedy but some actual serious romance that gave a good ending (especially since I specifically remember people wondering what season 2 would even bring as they were satisfied with season 1's ending), but that's not what I got. I actually really enjoyed the first couple of episodes as it actually leaned into the premise, but after that it devolved into a standard comedy/school/slice of life. There were episodes in the middle that clearly felt like filler, and there were others that didn't feel like filler but still felt like wasted runtime. I think the latter is one of the worst things that can happen in a show, and it certainly killed the momentum it had from the first few episodes. The show tried to get back to its premise in its final few episodes, but at that point it was too late IMO. I like the art, the main character (Maaya Uchida is always a plus), and the show isn't necessarily bad, but I didn't enjoy it. I think it's score is a little higher than it should be, as many people watched it when the whole villainess trope wasn't a big thing. If the show aired today, I don't think it'd be that high.

Golden Time (Movie)
　Mini Review: Why am I getting emotional over a TV? From a technical standpoint, it has its glaring issues, as expected given its runtime. The side characters (aside from the cat) aren't really fleshed out and there is no explanation for why these 4 objects can move but others can't. The ending is IMO it's weakest point - I'm not sure why they chose to go the route they did. That being said, it's a cute, very nicely animated short movie about friendship, accepting oneself, and changing times. I think if you're watching it with that mindset and aren't expecting a technical masterpiece, it's a fine watch.

Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e
　Mini Review: It's a trope-y overpowered MC school story trying to sound super hardcore and edgy with its high stakes premise, except the premise really isn't that deep (as far as the anime goes). It's definitely a show that 14-year old me would've been all over. The first half of the show was very underwhelming, with a few episodes focusing on one particularly annoying character. I also feel there's too much fanservice for a show that's supposed to be super serious. Ayanokoji's ability to solve any problem is more ridiculous than smart since it's always a result of either a) everyone else around him being stupid, or b) his solution being some overly complicated set of steps. I thought there were too many supporting characters to keep track of for a 12 episode show, and as more of the focus seems to go towards the female characters rather than the male characters (outside of Ayanokoji), none of the male characters were interesting to me. Horikita's cool (got the tsun, just need some dere!), as are Ichinose and Kushida.

Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e 2nd Season
　Mini Review: What a shift. Despite the clear downgrade in the art, I actually liked this a lot, compared to the first season which I really disliked. The fanservice was toned down significantly, which works way better for the tone of the show. I enjoyed the arcs way more than the ones in the 1st season. I liked Karuizawa (TSUNDERE!), the main focus of season 2, more than Horikita, the main focus of season 1. Ayanokoji is still edgy as ever in certain episodes, but his solutions are easier to follow and the result/endings of those episodes were satisfying enough for me to look past it. I think the 2nd season had better structuring than season 1, making it easier to follow/remember the rest of the supporting cast. While the issues with the premise and tropes aren't going anywhere, this was atleast a good popcorn watch unlike season 1. Certainly good enough for me to watch season 3 at somepoint.

　Mini Review: My experience with Lupin is limited to 2 TV series and a few movies. However, despite being about a young Lupin, I feel it still has the charm of a typical Lupin series. Little bits of comedy, the episodic formula, thrilling action, great animation, and the artstyle that's modern but looks older at the same time. While not having Fujiko Mine / Miyuki Sawashiro is a negative, the next best thing is Saori Hayami, so I can accept it. I enjoyed the vast majority of the episodes as well as the characters, although I felt the ending could've gone a bit differently. While it's not my favorite Lupin entry of the ones I've seen, it was still a good use of a couple of hours. I imagine the change in setting/time would be a good switch up for someone getting a bit tired of the usual Lupin series.

Corpse Party: Tortured Souls - Bougyakusareta Tamashii no Jukyou
　Mini Review: It's clear that the priority was to add as much gore/horror as possible, because basically everything else sucked (it really reminds me of Another). Literally the only good thing about this was the sound, but that's not enough to give this a 2. The characters were BY FAR the worst part. In order to create situations where more gore could be added, they made the characters stupid. They make the most bone-headed decisions imaginable to push the plot forward. It's so bad, but not in a funny way. The premise makes sense at first, but because the story is not really fleshed out and the show becomes a "kill everybody in a really bloody manner" speedrun, it falls apart. It definitely seems like it needed more episodes to actually tell its story. It achieves its' goal of being disturbing, but that doesn't mean it isn't terrible.

Suzume no Tojimari
　Mini Review: Between this, Kimi no Na wa, and Tenki no Ko, this was my favorite. I love my romance anime, but I think that Shinkai's other works have too much of a focus on it. While the undertones still exist in Suzume, they're much more secondary, which was a great change in my opinion. Just because you have a male and female MC doesn't mean they need to love each other. Apart from the change in romantic undertones, Suzume follows the same general formula as Shinkai's recent full-length movies, which I have zero issue with. In other words, it's got great animation, a main duo (one male, one female), good voice acting, a drama-heavy story that also has comedic and lighter bits sprinkled in, great music, and an ending that's pretty predictable but not bad in itself. It's getting a 10.

Kidou Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo
　Mini Review: While this series doesn't seem that representative of the Gundam franchise as a whole (female protag, doesn't even have the military tag), it was still my first Gundam TV entry and just my 2nd Gundam entry overall (War In The Pocket OVAs being the 1st). I'm not a major fan of eternal optimist main characters like Suletta, but Miorine (TSUNDERE!) and yuri undertones helped to make her tolerable! Sometimes I feel that mecha shows lean too heavily into the mecha/action part and ditch everything else, but Witch From Mercury has a great balance between action and worldbuilding/politics/characters. With how common 3D is now, especially with non-human action scenes, it was really nice to see the mostly 2D animation mixed with bits of 3D that didn't look half bad. Suletta's traits, the only real issue I had, weren't enough to lower my overall enjoyment. I'll definitely be watching the second cour.

Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World - Byouki no Kuni - For You
　Mini Review: It's more Kino, but with more CGI and animated by Shaft. I'm thankful that the episode wasn't entirely Shaft-ified, if that makes any sense. I definitely prefer some of the main series' episodes over this one, but that doesn't mean this sucked. Having an artstyle change but still keeping the charm that the original show had is commendable and something I can appreciate. Just like the main series, it does a great job of showing us the atmosphere and emotion, rather than telling us. It's nothing special, but Shaft did Kino justice.

Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World - Nanika wo Suru Tame ni - Life Goes On.
　Mini Review: A switch up from a standard Kino episode, it was nice to see more of Kino's backstory, although I don't think one episode was enough to cover what could have been covered. As a 3-4 episode OVA I think this really could've been something great. Like the other movie, the quality is basically on par, maybe slightly worse than the Kino main series. It's got a good mix of happy and sad and does its job as a prequel to the main series (would not recommend watching prior to the main series though). With these shorter entries (typically OVAs, but in this case a movie), I feel a good benchmark as to whether you enjoyed it is if you feel like you wasted your time. I don't consider this a must watch, but I certainly didn't feel like I would've preferred to spend my time watching something else.

Aho Girl
　Mini Review: When I first started this, I really wasn't looking forward to it, but it was surprisingly better than I expected. I enjoyed how crazy and unpredictable all the characters were and how they each had their own parts within episodes to have more variety. I especially liked the before-last episode, where Yoshiko went to fight the other school's gangs with bananas to avenge the banana frappuccino, and the dog stopped a bank robbery, it was one of the better episodes that had a different vibe than the rest which was fun. Also, really liked the opening song, it had a fun vibe to it, especially since the visuals were different each time and had their own jokes haha.

Si Ge Yongzhe
　Mini Review: It wasn't the most engaging of shows and was way too fast-paced to really develop the story in an interesting way, but I guess it was a parody anime, so that wasn't really the goal. The main thing that kept me watching was the cliffhanger ending of every single episode, which half the time came out of nowhere. The best part was the characters and seeing how different they were from how you would have initially perceived them to be, so at least that was fun.

Itou Junji: Maniac
　Mini Review: There were so many short stories in here, but there weren't too many actually good ones, there were even some really boring ones that weren't even really scary at all. But the good ones were pretty fun and interesting, such as the Hanging balloon and layers of fear. And I often felt myself enjoying the episodes where they had 2 in one, because the longer ones seemed really dragged out, often taking too long to get started.

　Mini Review: This was so fun and energetic and was definitely more in the realm of anime I usually like to watch, and I really liked the use of playing cards as a way of giving people powers. Really liked the main pair's dynamic and seeing their relationship grow throughout the show, but a lot of the other main members didn't really get that much screen time comparatively, so looking forward to learning more about them in the next season. Also, really loved the ending song, especially in conjunction with the visuals, they were so fun!

　Mini Review: To my belief, the strength of SAO lies in the dynamic between Asuna and Kirito. Their romantic scenes were not overdone, but it left you wanting more slice-of-life moments reminiscent of SAO S1. Main villain (not Eiji) had my sympathies. You can't say that you would be better than Kirito and Asuna in an AR game if you yourself have cheat enhancements that the game developer made exclusively for you (then again, as I write this--I realize that it's somewhat reminiscent of when Kirito had access to his own exclusive dual-wield skill). [6/10]
Kennel Tokorozawa
　Mini Review: Everyone is an enabler and wants the dog to totally get with the girl. Beastiality, pedophilic tendencies, terrible humor--this show had it all. The two silver linings I would probably say is that one, it had a "vintage" aesthetic to it being in the 90s. Two, there was a joke where this guy was about to go on a date to show MC girl a turtle hatching to convince her not to kill herself. Classy. [1/10]
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 2nd Season Part 2
　Mini Review: Natsuki Subaru's insufferable, cringy, self-righteous and persevering personality has now even "contaminated" Emilia and did wonders for her development. The supporting characters benefitted from the screentime, and their presence now felt like they had a valid weight to them. Otto's, Beatrice's and heck even Elsa started to have more depth. Each episode was constructed nicely, and the story was strong. ON paper I SHOULD like this, but something felt missing. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first season, even though it was rewarding to see what Subaru and Emilia went through. [6/10]

　Mini Review: I put this on-hold because there was this elite fansubber group that did the first three episodes really nicely but then they fell off the face of the Earth. Show was charming, and put a lot of care into Komi. Asides from the inconsistent humor, supporting cast not named Najimi or Shoko, I wasn't a really big fan of the supporting cast. Even though I already know the manga will take a while to get to where the romance is relevant, it was nice to see some good old fashioned romantic subtext. Main duo has good chemistry. [6/10]
Suki na Ko ga Megane wo Wasureta [1/13] [Started: Jul 07, 2023]
　Mini Review: They really toned down the crazy camera work and really focused on elevating the content instead of embellishing it. A light-hearted and easy watch. Cute and was emotionally invested, MC guy was annoying at first but really grew in his character as show went on. Mie's character design got a massive upgrade in the anime that's for sure, and the attention to detail with her hair was put to good use. Ending was open-ended enough to make you want to see more of them in the future. I'm doubtful for a Season 2 but it would be nice. [6/10]

　Mini Review: The ED for this is criminally good. Don't remember why I placed this on hold because this definitely wasn't a bad show. Characters except for villains had some good development. Really thought Kate and Emilyco were going to be lost causes but I'm glad to be proven wrong. Although it was an anime original ending, it did things decently enough to warrant going back into a canon Season 2. Feelings wise, I don't know if I'm compelled enough to continue. It was okay. [5/10]

Fruits Basket: Prelude
　Mini Review: Seeing Katsuya and Kyoko's chemistry made it even more cruel that Tohru really never got to grow up with both of her parents. Colds in Japan really aren't to be taken lightly over there. I was a bit sussed out by the dynamic of course (and the film addressed it, surprisingly), but they've made it work. Could've used more of them instead of the 30 minute recap we got of the main duo (which wasn't unwelcome). Seeing bonus content of Kyo and Tohru thriving and looking healthy touched my heart. [7/10]
Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn
　Mini Review: If you could not tell by my MAL signature, I play FGO, so watching this was a definite treat to see. Even though it is yet another retelling of the Holy Grail War, now throws the added mystery of "fake servants" with "fake masters". Even though this was most definitely an "expositional" episode, it gave a lot of early Fate/Zero vibes. That fight scene with Gilgamesh and Enkidu was crisp and done justice. Playing FGO so much, you forget that the aspect of servants hiding their identities is crucial to hide weaknesses and keep the opponent guessing. Shame that we won't be able to see Richard I and Ayaka until possibly late 2024. [8/10]

Made in Abyss: Retsujitsu no Oukonkyou (4/12)
　Mini Review: And here I thought that Nanachi's backstory is the most horrific one. Oh boy, did the second season prove me wrong here. The backstory of the new characters really made my stomach turn since it once again highlighted the horrors of the abyss. I enjoyed that this season only focused on one arc, though I found the first few episodes a bit slow. That changed quickly, luckily, and for the most part, this season was a banger. Also, I was not prepared to see Mitty die again. 9/10 for me.
Kimetsu no Yaiba Yuukaku-hen
　Mini Review: That was my favourite part of Kimetsu no Yaiba so far! Animation is still top notch and plot-wise, it is pretty similar to the Mugen Train arc as well as the Swordsmith Village arc. However, what made this arc stand out for me personally was that I really liked the Hashira which this arc focused on as well as the villains that were faced in this arc. This arc might have been a 10/10 if not for the humour - I'm really not fond of Kimetsu's type of humour, and of Zenitsu in general. 9/10 overall.
Aoi Bungaku Series
　Mini Review: I really appreciate this anime as a form of art and the effort that went into it. Story-wise, however, I have to say that this anime was not really my cup of tea. It focuses on different pieces of Japanese literature and I personally quite like the educational aspect, however, most of the stories were rather dramatic and depressing and for me, I have to be in the mood for depressing anime to be able to enjoy them. The second story (episodes 5 and 6) was a positive surprise for me since, despite also being dramatic, it was quite silly at the same time and felt a bit like a musical. It really reminded me of Sweeney Todd and I guess that was intended. It was hilarious despite its rather morbid themes. 6/10 for the series as a whole though for me.
Meng Qi Shi Shen
　Mini Review: My first Chinese animation with Chinese dub. Took some time to get used to it, but overall, it was quite an enjoyable series. The female main character was great and the backgrounds and food looked fantastic - the last point is especially important on a series focused on cooking, of course. Sadly, I found that the character designs and the animation (most of the time, at least) was not as good as the background art and that "clashed" a bit. It was still alright, but nowhere near as beautiful as the background art and that looked a bit weird to me. Surprisingly, the show also had some action scenes and damn, those were really well animated! Overall, an enjoyable series with a likeable female main character and some surprising plot points here and there. 7/10, looking forward to the next seasons!

Days (TV)
　Mini Review: After rewatching Haikyuu, I was rather desperately looking for another sports anime to fill the hole. Baby Steps did not manage to do so (still recommended as a sports anime), but luckily, Days was just what I was craving. I absolutely loved the characters and their goofy antics and I also quite liked the slice of life focus at the beginning. As a sports anime, it is not as good as Haikyuu, but still very enjoyable to me and the matches in the second half were quite good for me. However, it's difficult to believe that the anime was animated by studio MAPPA, because sadly, the animation is rather bad and a lot of stills are used, even in the matches which is such a shame. Days clearly deserved better. 8/10 (would have been 9/10 with better animation)
Isekai Ojisan
　Mini Review: I'm not too fond of isekai as most seem pretty generic, but this one was really funny. The premise felt really innovative and I liked how it was a mix of an isekai (through "flashbacks") and a reverse isekai with the uncle having to readjust after 17 years in a coma / different world. Possibly unpopular opinion, but I preferred the scenes set in present-day Japan. Nevertheless, the parts about the isekai world were also interesting and I liked the comments from Takafumi and Sumika while watching uncle's adventure. 7/10.
Pluto
　Mini Review: It shows that the mangaka also created Monster, both in terms of character designs and in terms of writing. I personally enjoyed the story a lot, the characters quickly grew on me (yes, I shed tears when one certain character died) and the mystery behind the eponymous Pluto was intriguing. However, sometimes I was a bit bored which might be due to the episodes being longer than usual and I felt that the ending left a few questions unanswered. Still a very good anime, 8/10.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Katanakaji no Sato-hen
　Mini Review: I feel like I'll repeat myself here. It's classical Kimetsu no Yaiba with amazing animation and decent plot. I already said that the Entertainment District arc offered the more interesting Hashira and villains for me, but this arc was also very good and I also quite liked these villains. Plus, I personally enjoyed Nezuko's development in this arc, too. 8/10

Saihate no Paladin
　Mini Review: I think I've already mentioned that isekai anime are not my favourites, mainly for being too stereotypical and this one is a good example. Don't get me wrong, I like that this anime offered quite an interesting beginning that helps setting itself apart from other isekais, but nevertheless, I've felt way too often that I've already seen similar anime as it is still pretty cliché for an isekai if you ask me. Which is why I grew bored after a couple of episodes and in the end, I did not really care for the characters. Not my cup of tea, 5/10.
Jigokuraku
　Mini Review: Okay, I'd say that Jigokuraku had the best first episode of all the anime I've reviewed for this challenge. I was immediately hooked! Gabimaru as a character is very interesting and the setting is super intriguing - and the visuals and animations really were a feast to watch. I'm definitely hyped for season 2. However, at least for me, Gabimaru and Sagiri, to a lesser degree, are the only characters I really cared for, which made the deaths of the many, many other characters way less impactful. That's why it is only a 7/10 for me.
Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!
　Mini Review: Ooh, that was such a positive surprise! I've been a bit sceptical that the gimmick (male best friend only sees Tomo as a friend and one of the boys) gets old rather quickly, but it did not, thanks to a cast of entertaining side characters, among other things. The characters were all really likeable, there were loads of cute moments and the series even got a proper ending which resolved everything neatly. I would not mind an OVA filled with cute couple things, of course. 8/10.
Horimiya: Piece
　Mini Review: Okay, that was more enjoyable than the main series and it's a shame that these episodes were initially cut. I'm glad we got to see them animated! The first season focused too much on drama for my taste. Here, we got a lot of fun, silly and cute moments not only between Hori and Miyamura, but between their group of friends, as well and that's exactly what I was missing in the first season. The only episode I really disliked was episode 10 with the dispute between Miyamura and Hori. I found that Hori behaved in a rather toxic way, though admittedly I'm not the biggest fan of her anyways. But yeah, I could've lived without that episode, especially since there are other chapters that could have been used instead. 8/10 overall.

Ou Dorobou Jing
　Mini Review: The premise does not sound bad, but not necessarily innovative, either. The animal sidekick was funny, but other than that, I quickly grew bored of this anime. The episodic format did not work for me here as it felt repetitive , especially when each episode features a different girl that needs help. In the end, I more or less stopped caring for the plot or the characters. Not my cup of tea, 5/10.
Juubee-chan 2: Siberia Yagyuu no Gyakushuu
　Mini Review: The first season was from 1999, this one is from 2004 and somehow, at least to me it did not look as if five years passed animation-wise, but that might also be due to them using the same opening of the first season again. Plot-wise, Freesia is a new character thrown in the mix (and all the characters who liked Juubee in the first season quickly fell for her, of course), but aside from that, the plot felt very repetitive with plot points from the first season reused again. I was not a fan of the first season to begin with. I rated that a 5/10 and initially wanted to give this season a 4/10, but since there were some positive surprises in the last few episodes, I'll also rate it 5/10.
Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e 2nd Season
　Mini Review: I already enjoyed the first season quite a bit, and one aspect the second season did better was focusing on female characters besides Horikita. Though Horikita still got plenty of screentime and since she is my favourite female character, I obviously did not mind. One of the other female characters with more screentime was Karuizawa. Her backstory was interesting, but I found her so annoying. I was also curious to see Kushida's backstory and motivation revealed, but I was rather disappointed because in my opinion, her reasons are pretty stupid. Plot-wise, I'd say that it is as good as season 1. 7/10 for me.
Mashle
　Mini Review: The premise of a character like One Punch Man without magic powers stuck in a magic school really got my hopes up for this one, especially since it does feel like One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100 a lot. And while I had a lot of fun with the first two episodes, sadly, I quickly grew bored as the plot felt repetitive and the jokes did not work for me after a while. Also, Mash as a character was just not as likeable as Mob or Saitama for me and I didn't care for the other characters, neither. Not my cup of tea, 5/10

　Mini Review: This was a cute and fluffly little watch. I'm not too fond of how much of a shy wallflower the protagonist is, even if this is the story of how she (very slowly) learns her worth and to affirm herself. Witnessing her getting lost in her own head despite all her very supportive entourage is an exercise in frustration. That said, I never got tired of the gimmick of revealing late in each story how useful the heroine's assiduous reading turns out to be in country affairs.
[✔] Sasaki to Miyano
　Mini Review: Boys Love isn't really my thing, but at least this one didn't rankle me, thanks to being wholesomely gentle and consensual. My actual issue is that it's incredibly otaku-pilled, with nearly every character referencing BL tropes all the time. Maybe that's realistic, but since I have zero interest in the subject it didn't really endear their conversations to me. But hey, this is a perfectly inoffensive show.
[✔] Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken
　Mini Review: This isn't a premise I wasn't particularly interested in at first. That said, after a rough start it does build into a decent low-key romance that makes for easy-enough watching. The best characters were clearly the beta couple, of course.
[✔] Ghost Hunt
　Mini Review: This was a bit of a mixed bag. It's a fairly episodic horror-mystery show, and my interest waxed and waned depending on whichever case was happening ; some were engrossing, others total snoozefests. It didn't help that I never really connected with any of the recurring cast, which means that none of the subplots could catch the slack. So not a bad series, but quite uneven.

　Mini Review: This couple of "horror" shorts weren't very good. The first one is mostly a belabored joke on lowcost airlines. The second one tries for something a bit weightier with WWII revenants, but doesn't really pull it off. And both feel like 5-minute-premises padded up to twice their natural length with a lot of nothing.

　Mini Review: What a weird planetarium presentation. At first I thought it'd just be standard universe creation stuff, but then it has aliens peeking on the life of random kids ? Even with one of them becoming the astronaut from the framing device, it's just bizarre. This disjointed package never quite comes together.

　Mini Review: It feels like this 5th season is running out of ideas. The forest setting doesn't provide for many joke opportunities, and the wild rabbit antagonist only leads to very repetitive routines. Even throwaway weirdness like the random clone just doesn't quite land, so it was probably time to call it a day.
[✔] Usavich Zero
　Mini Review: On the one hand, going back to the prison setting for this prequel is a welcome move, as it provides room for more jokes. On the other hand, the succession of events (episodes numbered backwards ?) is unnecessarily confusing. Also some of the skits are just non-starters that feel like wasting our time.

　Mini Review: This was a pretty cute little movie in the mold of old cat-and-mouse cartoons. There were quite a bunch of fun little visual gags, which helped it rise above "Tom & Jerry clone with a movie-making plot". It was about as good as its predecessor.
[✔] Koi to Uso: Isshou no Koi/Koi no Kimochi
　Mini Review: I remember watching the main series mostly because of the bopper of an OP, and this feels like more of the same. This pair of side-stories are much in the same mold of mediocre harem hijinks starring a bunch of unlikeable main characters. The summer house vacation setting isn't much of an improvement to the proceedings.
[✔] Golden Time (Movie)
　Mini Review: On the one hand, this is a lovely-looking little movie. On the other hand, I couldn't bring myself to care about any of these characters, or anything they do. Also, I just plain didn't like the ending.
[✔] Biohazard 4D-Executer
　Mini Review: This is a disaster from top to bottom. It looks ugly as sin, from the mediocre CG animation to the awful zombie monsters. But the key issue is that, even for someone like me who doesn't care much for horror, it's just a pain to watch, full of jumpscares and cheap thrills.

　Mini Review: Ah, my nemesis : old stop-motion animation vaguely based on folk tales. Admittedly the narration songs being untranslated really didn't help with my engagement, but there's very little in this slapdash succession of scenes that really caught my attention anyway. And the actual drawings just look kinda bad, anyway.

　Mini Review: This OVA is just baffling. It's mostly a string of extremely tedious music videos interspersed with a few (really badly-acted) scenes trying to advance some form of plot... but they're so barebones I have no clue what's supposed to be going on with these twins. I guess the Phil Collins songs are still nice, but they can't salvage this mess.
[✔] Himalaya no Hikari no Oukoku
　Mini Review: I usually try and be charitable to kids' anime, especially when they're only available in English dub, but this isn't good on any metric. The kid protagonist is insufferable, the kingdom's conundrum is beyond stupid (why gold necklaces ?), and that everyone realizes it only because of this kid's prompting only adds insult to the injury. The ending borders on the nonsensical, and overall it just looks bad.
[✔] Canary
　Mini Review: Their might be a semi-decent visual novel under this, but this OVA promoting it sure isn't putting it into a good light. The mediocre hijinks are marred by terrible comedic timing that ruins all the slapstick (and the awful subs don't help). I kinda like the high-concept with the mayor, but the execution isn't any good.

　Mini Review: When I started watching this show I was in the mood for cuteness, short and easygoing anime without a plot, but this one bore and annoyed me too extreme. If it was more than 3 minutes, minus the horrible ending, I would think it was waste of time and effort. Don't take me wrong, it wasn't bad but very boring. I'm definitive not in the right demographic and couldn't find this show appealing.

　Mini Review: It was what I expecting. I watched Bananya before this one and knew what this will be about. I wasn't hyped about continuing this series but 13 episodes and that are 3 minutes long were won me over. So I watched this dreadful boring show and found that I didn't dislike everything! The new ending was soooo much better. Short with a couple of low tone nya. Perfekt. The animation stayed at the same quality, the cast of cats got bigger but the voice actors stayed the same.

A simple 2010 highschool slice of life/romance but it can get boring. None of the characters gains any development and it sometimes felt repetitive as they stays the same though the whole OVA. The shy girl can't express her feelings and overthink. I think I would like it more if I watched when it came out. Now it's nothing new or refreshing. Even the art felt a little dated.

　Mini Review: I like this anime because it is a relaxing story of everyday life between ayakashi and humans. Where we also learn about the past life of the main character's grandmother who had the same powers. And also the main character's adventure helps Ayakashi to get their name back which was taken by grandmother.
[✔] Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi
　Mini Review: I like this anime because the food makes me eat too. And also the story is very interesting where there is a little supernatural, namely a big wolf and also a little adventure. The combination of adventure and cooking is good and interesting to me. I can't wait for Season 2 to come out.

[✔] ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka
　Mini Review: I rarely watch political anime, but this anime has a very unexpected plot in my opinion. Where the main character turns out to be a very important figure for a country, the evil character is also very unpredictable. I really like the storyline and the calm nature of the main character.
[✔] Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi
　Mini Review: I like the storyline of this anime, where it is relaxed but there is also a story about the background which makes it more interesting. This anime explains about friendship and relationships between women and men which makes it interesting and relaxing for me to watch. And sometimes there are humorous scenes which are very fun to watch.

　Mini Review: I really like this anime story because the main character is very cheerful and tries to make friends with all his classmates one by one. I want this anime to continue into season 2, hopefully it will happen. This main character trait is very rarely found in real life, where he is smart and also great at sports. I want to have traits like the main character who is very positive and always cheerful under any circumstances.

And also this anime has a story that is almost similar to anime idols who go to school to understand dancing acting and so on. 　Mini Review: Different from the usual reincarnation story, this time the reincarnated character can still use his powers. The story is very interesting, because at first it was thought that he was entering the body of an ordinary character, but it turns out there are other surprising things about this character.

　Mini Review: I really like this anime story, I also like how each character has different strengths with different types of weapons and also how each character relates even though they are assassins. In this anime, sometimes it can be confused about where the good side is and the evil side. Because on every side, it has a background that makes me not want the character to be killed.

I'm curious about the characters that appear at the end of the episode, I'm looking forward to the movie

This anime initially has a relaxed story, but over time it has an interesting story in my opinion. Each character also has their own advantages, making them interesting to watch.

　Mini Review: I really like this anime, where the mix of romance and fantasy is good. Where the main character has a curse and the main female character wants to help lift the curse. Over time, they will find clues to gradually lift the curse. I can't wait for Season 3 to come out.
[✔] Bakemono no Ko
　Mini Review: The story of the film is very good because of the character's struggle in learning the sword from his teacher and slowly the character accepts his father and returns to the human world. And where the main character will slowly learn human language and make up with his parents slowly. I really like the battle at the end with one of the fighting children in the animal world which makes him realize something important.
[✔] Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online
　Mini Review: This anime has a story like usual where people who don't like ordinary life try to play games to forget the sadness in their lives. However, I don't really like characters who think that if they die in the game, they will commit suicide in real life. In my opinion, the beginning of the story is still good but as it gets later it gets a bit confusing

　Mini Review: I don't have much context for the original arc, but adapting it into a Monster-esque mystery thriller was a choice that ended up being fairly interesting. The latter end of the show was especially entertaining, as it's larger mysteries reach their conclusions and the big twists come to light. For criticism, and this I've noticed with Monster too, is that Urasawa tends to rely on vague allusions to the theme of the mystery more than concrete statements and satisfying conclusions, though there's at least some of that by the end. Not a 10, but I enjoyed it, and glad it got made.
5-toubun no Hanayome∽
　Mini Review: This entry is notable for not only being an (in my opinion, not very well-earned) victory lap for the series, but also for being animated by Shaft for some reason. First episode wasn't really anything to write home about, I barely even remembered what happened in it; what it adapted was so fleeting and non-consequential it doesn't really mesh with or add on to the series as a whole. The second episode is noteworthy, however, for being a Pool Episode that actually looks like it was animated by Shaft. And then also being an epilogue of sorts for the Winner. I'm just glad I don't have to think too much about this series anymore, and I'm okay with that.
Dr. Stone: New World
　Mini Review: In comparison to previous arcs, this one makes the most progress at moving the plot forward and introducing new and interesting concepts. The introduction of immediate and abrupt shifts in understanding of the larger mystery at the forefront of the premise, that being petrification, and the state of the outside world, makes this show a whole lot more interesting. After these reveals, we're thrust into immediate conflict with the forces that are uncovered from these surprise reveals, and seeing how it all resolves makes me look forward to watching the second half of this season.

Undead Girl Murder Farce
　Mini Review: As far as classical-troped murder mystery anthologies go, this was a fun one. I especially found interesting how they mixed things up with tropes of classic monsters, even giving them factions that interact with each other in different ways. I'd say the middle arc was the best one, given it gave us the conceit for more of an overarching plot in the form of the rest of the cast of royalty-free literature characters. I'd say the last arc was probably the weakest, as one: it was hard to keep track of the details enough to make a satisfying conclusion to the mystery, and two: it didn't quite have enough in the way of stakes or overall ties to the overarching plot to make it a good choice for the last arc of the season. But yeah, I wouldn't mind another season.
Hataraku Maou-sama!! Recap
　Mini Review: I don't usually rank or score recaps, but as far as these types of recap episodes go, this one was not great. Was not a fan of the presence of the narration, I think it either dumbed down the explanation of the plot beats a bit too much or had it's delivery feel generally off. And I might be wrong on this, but did they just straight up re-animate scenes from White Fox's season 1 with 3Hz's worse animation?
Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover
　Mini Review: Listen, I'm a Kingdom Hearts fan, I'm used to dumb bullshit dialogue and convoluted plot stringings and dealings, but this was kind of not great. Ultimately, this is a story about the Master using his godhood status to make himself look like a smartass by alluding to random wheelings and dealings that sound smart but ultimately bring about the destruction of the world, while standing by and being coy about it. Meanwhile, the main 5, who for some reason have reverence for this false god by trying to decipher his crypticness with what essentially amounts to a game of Amogus with a 3rd grade level of logical deduction. I'm being harsh in how I described it though, because at the very least, this is a recipe for at least making it entertaining? So your mileage may vary.
Hori-san to Miyamura-kun
　Mini Review: After watching mainline Horimiya and coming back to essentially the original adaptation, it's wild to me that they adapted the prior version of the manga before and even during after the other adaptation, keeping the same cast which is different from the other adaptation all the while. And while both adaptations have their strengths, I really enjoyed this one's focus more on Hori and Miyamura's relationship and how it slowly develops, which is nice in comparison to the other's comparatively scattershot and brisk pace. While it's essentially the same material, it gives everything a nice sense of breathing room where you can really enjoy these two dorks slowly realizing that they enjoy each others' company.

Mahoutsukai no Yome Season 2
　Mini Review: Simply put, putting Chise in more social situations to flesh out her self-realization as a character is a move that makes sense, and doing so while doing a whole 'magic school' shtick lends itself well to the setting. Things do feel more condensed, close-knit, and I guess...normal than the prior season, but I think it's okay to be willing to acknowledge when a series is just doing something different, even if that 'different' is something more normal or scaled-back in scope. Plus, it's also the first half of an arc that clearly is meant to build up to and end on its' rising action, so I think grace is warranted.
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Break Time
　Mini Review: As it's been a while since I've watched and rewatched Re:Zero, it was interesting to watch back at essentially an extra clip show for each of the first few episodes of that show. Each episode is pretty much just some more character interactions, sometimes filling in details from the source material that either add to the world or provide more context for certain scenarios. When it occasionally does this, it's minor, of note, and ends up being essentially nothing more, but having a couple moments of 'oh, that's interesting, about that' at least made watching this worthwhile. The rest of it is pretty much just more banter between characters, which I'm finding more tired and cringeworthy than witty or full of character as time goes on, but that's just Re:Zero I guess.
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Bakuen wo!
　Mini Review: I will say that just on account of it not having the strength of the ensemble cast comedy that's Konosuba's strongest suit, instead focusing at first on...essentially the same joke copy-pasted between characters, this entry is a bit weaker than mainline Konosuba. But it still provided me well enough in the way of chuckles at what comedy was there, and the friendship arc between Megumin and Yunyun was a highlight. I gotta ask though, what's the deal with such strong friendship before the main series, plus Chomusuke's presence?
Horimiya: Piece
　Mini Review: What a neat little way to adapt material that the original adaptation missed out on. It ended up feeling like a more episodic series with character interactions that let me actually feel like I got to know the whole of the cast better, which I felt like the original adaptation was lacking in a bit. If anything, I like this season more in comparison, as the original felt like it was rushing to get through the important pairings to happen without diving too much into their characters, and this season just ends up making the experience a whole lot more complete. Would be fun to try a watch of this interspersed with episodes of the original.

Bleach: Memories in the Rain
　Mini Review: As I'm currently watching this as part of my ongoing binge watch of the Bleach series as a whole, it was pretty interesting to see Pierrot essentially re-animate from the ground up an arc that had literally just aired in the main show. I say re-animate from the ground up, but looking back, there might be spots here or there that were re-used from the main show proper, but I'd say that this Jump Festa OVA was overall more focused and better directed. This particular arc also stands out as being a key moment for the series, as we get more insight into what kind of character Ichigo is when put under pressure, what kind of grief he deals with, and how that impacts his relationship with his family.
Boku no Hero Academia: UA Heroes Battle
　Mini Review: I really don't get the existence behind this one. In-universe, the world has essentially undergone such a dramatic shift, mostly for the worst, and tonally, we're in a different place than in prior seasons. So what do the boys get up to in lockdown after such harrowing events? Shill a terrible card game/gunpla battle system hybrid...game thing. It doesn't even make sense because it's not like there's a real-world tie-in equivalent that it's trying to advertise? So what's the purpose here? I couldn't tell you.

　Mini Review: I rewatched the first season before watching this one, and I love the shared living situational comedy dynamic. The first season is strongest in this, but while the second season does have that, it starts to get into Plot towards the latter end of the season, and for me, it's a whole lot of nothing-burger. We do get some sakuga for that Plot happening, but I'm more interested in the creative character interaction comedy that makes this show entertaining to watch.
Overlord Movie 1: Fushisha no Ou
　Mini Review: Revisting the first half of the first season of Overlord is interesting in that I have the retrospect of knowing that this story actually starts doing what I find most interesting about its' premise in season freaking four. But I can give this first half credit for at least introducing us to the world, the situation that our protagonist ends up in, and the mode of discovery by which the story can be further pushed along. However, it's easily and consistently distracted in what it wants to tell in its' actual plot, namely with the petty fetish-baiting monster entourage and RPG worldbuilding that's too standard to be interesting.
Overlord Movie 2: Shikkoku no Eiyuu
　Mini Review: Back on the Overlord season 1 recap, we finish off the arc that establishes Momonga's means by which to interact with the world from hereon out, and end with an arc that while it does pretend to put the protagonist in a dire situation that he has to fight to resolve, still only serves no real purpose for the greater story. Seriously, does anybody remember any repercussions from Shalltear getting brainwashed, or has the source of that ever come up again for any meaningful reason? If anything, finishing off the recap movies helped me articulate what I found wrong with season 1, in that it's very inefficient in showing us what could be interesting about its premise, world, potential story, or inherent mysteries.

　Mini Review: The critics did not lie: this anime is one of the rare ones with great CGI! I just couldn't get into the story though . . . It didn't grab me, and that cliffhanger at the end is not the best I've seen. The only thing that kept me going was Phos' character development, which was very interesting and pretty well executed.

[✔] Mob Psycho III
　Mini Review: Well, Mob Psycho 100 III didn't quite live up to the hype of its previous seasons. The series leaned more towards slice of life vibes, and the punchline in the last mini-arc felt a bit random. However, the animation remains awesome, and the opening is a bomb! On a positive note, the development of the relationships between the main characters is a highlight. This season adds depth to their personalities, making it a worthwhile watch.

　Mini Review: Well, Owari no Seraph turned out to be even more entertaining than I expected! While there were a couple of plot holes, the overall mysteries kept me intrigued. The Sawano soundtracks, the post-apocalyptic atmosphere, and the character designs all contributed to the enjoyment. Let's just say, the abundance of bishounens was a nice touch. ;) Can't wait for Season 2!

　Mini Review: Yurumates is a fun little series. The sketches are amusing and incredibly cute. Being a university student, a couple of episodes hit a bit too close to home though. XD

[✔] Sasaki to Miyano: Koi ni Kizuku Mae no Chotto Shita Hanashi.
　Mini Review: That was cute. It was enjoyable to explore scenes beyond Sasaki and Miyano (honestly I really prefer Hirano's couple 😜). However, the OVA's plot felt rather dull. I'm very curious about the second student in the animal appreciation club; not sure if I missed the info or if it's in the main show . . . Overall, a cute but somewhat uninteresting episode.

　Mini Review: Well, that was a wild ride, and I don't mean it in the good way. Having played the original game, I had a grip on the story, but without this background, the narrative is downright incomprehensible. The game, designed with four routes leading to the big reveal in a fifth one, provides a comprehensive understanding. The anime attempted to mirror this, but it felt like a rushed, patchwork of scenes ripped from the game, especially in the first two episodes.

The storyline is all over the place, the pacing feels too sluggish (though the love stories are oddly rushed), and the main character possesses the personality equivalent of a blank sheet of paper—think Yui from Diabolik Lovers (that is loyal to the game though, but it's even worse in the anime). In essence, while the game is fun, the adaptation is mediocre at best. I understand why you scored it a 4 simplycarissa.😅
[✔] Amnesia OVA
　Mini Review: This OVA is what the game adaptation should've been. It's filled with cute scenes involving all the characters and the development of real relationships, instead of just cramming the story in the shortest time possible. The episode is both entertaining and touching. Plus, the scene with Ukyo and the spaghetti is downright hilarious.
[✔] Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song - To Make Everyone Happy With My Singing
　Mini Review: Great summary of the anime! The main show, which I did enjoy, was a bit slow so this recap actually is actually better by cutting things here and there. The background songs added a nice touch and it was a good refresh of the series for me. Overall, a well-executed recap.

　Mini Review: I don't tend to like gritty stuff so initially I was feeling a tad suffocated with the setting and the premise but it ended up being quite engaging and well-executed. The characters are sweet and interesting and so is their relationship. But the biggest charm point of the series was how artistic it was. Good vision from the creator. A lovely watch. 7/10.

　Mini Review: Having always seen it rated low before, I was pleasantly surprised by this little crossdressing comedy. I can see why others might be bothered by the things it does but for me, it was cute and quite enjoyable. Crossdressing as a theme itself is quite fun for me, especially when they don't bang on about how the guy is straight all the time. I think I might have even given it a 7 if they didn't do a somewhat serious little plot beat at the end. Though I didn't mind how it was handled, I would have probably preferred silliness throughout. An easy watch and a fun time. 6/10.

　Mini Review: I don't hate the concept of Ame-iro Cocoa as much as a lot of people seem to. First season was a nice time for me. I didn't like the second season because the cast was all kids but this one had potential in that sense. Sadly, it was both a bit comedic - and its comedy was quite dumb and shallow - and its cast wasn't charming. Unlike S1's slice of life cafe shenanigans, this one was focused on starting a business and well, I can't say I cared about their journey in the slightest. At least it was a quick watch. 4/10.

　Mini Review: While I'm interested in the conflict between Vash and Nai, I find it incredibly hard to relate to anything Vash chooses to do. he is just too good in a way that really frustrates me, and it is very hard to get on board with the "humans above anything else" philosophy the show/vash has despite obviously showcasing how pitiful the plants are. "no matter how much humans hurt them, it's okay cause humans are only trying to live." a very anger-inducing philosophy. i am on the side of the "bad guys" here, which is rarely a joyful watch. 5/10. I think I could have liked this more if Vash was shown to be wrong at some levels. Now I don't know if I want to watch the rest.
