Kanojo ga Koushaku-tei ni Itta Riyuu

When, after her sudden death, Rinko Hanasaki is reborn as Raeliana McMillan, she is not sure whether to curse her luck. Raeliana was a minor character in a novel Rinko read, and as the eldest daughter of a nouveau-riche baron, she led a carefree life until her unfortunate demise at the hands of her fiancé, Lord Francis Brooks. To avoid her destined fate, Raeliana is determined to end her engagement with Francis.

However, when Francis refuses to break things off, Raeliana decides to seek help from someone of higher standing and approaches Duke Noah Wynknight—the novel's male protagonist. Using her knowledge of the plot, Raeliana captures the duke's interest by proposing a deal: she will not expose his secrets if Noah agrees to act as her fiancé. Little does she know that getting involved with a duke who only shows his true colors around her may lead to more than she bargained for.

Why Raeliana ended up at the duke's mansion actually surprised me for the best. The production was pretty poor and I expected an average story, but it was quite intriguing.

The characters are interesting, the plot is good and the suspense of what's going to come doesn't let you stray too far from it and keeps you hooked. MC isn't completely useless but it's not perfect either, she's just a normal girl trying to survive.

Chemistry between Raeliana and Noah is good (which for some reason seems to be an issue on some romance I've seen lately. I mean! Romance anime! Chemistry should be basic!)

Honestly wish ... they would make more seasons of it. It's not an incredible romance or anything, but it fulfill it's purpose and does it better than most "average romance" anime that has been popping up lately. Watch if your poor romance (female gaze romance, mind you!!) loving heart is suffering from abstinence or if you want a good romance/suspense anime to keep you hooked in a random afternoon.

Mixed Feelings

I can't really tell what this anime was if it was bad or good or just something else

While this anime didn't have any actually bad things that i can point out in this review, it also didn't have good things, for me this anime was really mid i can't tell watching this was a waste of time but neither i can tell it was well spent, so this review isn't for telling if you should watch or not, i think it's just to try to understand it, well the only advice i can give is to not expect a masterpiece (which i think no one ... will be expecting but who knows) neither to expect an bad anime, i have read other reviews on this and didn't found anything really conclusive so try it for yourself and take your own conclusions

In my personal opinion, this anime was okay- not exceptional but not horrible. The animation looked quite rough at times. Especially in scenes where the camera was zoomed far out. Otherwise, I admire the lighting and the background track. The characters do follow a lot of character archetypes (Adam as the quiet one, Noah as the intelligent mastermind, Vivian as the villainess, etcera). It follows a reincarnation plot and takes place in what I like to call 'Faux-Europe'. It looks like a European country and has its own unique lore in small tidbits. I would recommend this anime as a past time.. none of these ... characters are remarkable enough to leave a lasting impression. Overall an astonishingly mediocre anime.
