Penguin Highway

For a child, Aoyama has knowledge comparable to an adult. As such, he is often teased by his classmates. He also has a crush on the friendly woman he recently met at a dental office. One morning, penguins start mysteriously appearing around his neighborhood. Nobody knows where they came from and how they managed to get there. Aoyama is determined to find out more, and he joins his new crush in researching the penguins.

As time passes, they discover a levitating sphere which they nickname "The Sea." Whatever goes into The Sea does not come back out, and the only things that can destroy it are the penguins. However, something horrifying is created when the penguins do...

Penguin Highway follows Aoyama and the woman's research on the mysterious penguins' origin, as well as the many difficulties Aoyama faces throughout his investigation.

One thing is for certain about Penguin Highway is it is a kids film and also Japan, is it normal in your country for adults to just spend time with children and their parents to just not care? Anyway, despite this open question, it's a pretty good film with a nice message.

The story is definitely different and paced very nicely. The characters are also very well written. The children actually really do actually like children which is contrary to most anime with children that essentially act like or are even more mature than the adults. As I said in my opening paragraph, the show has ... a nice message of perseverance, achieving your dreams and managing relationships. It's fun at times, it's emotional at times and has enough mild peril to keep excitement. Great story for the younger viewers. 7/10

The animation is solid too. Character designs are nice and the world looks great. There are also things that happen later in the story that I can't really mention but these moments are also well animation. It's a solid display. Don't get me wrong, it's not mind blowing to say the least, but it's still presented great, delivers the story very well and is very nice to look at. Again it's a 7/10.

Music is also a nice 7/10. It provides nice support to the story. In a similar vein to the animation, it too does a fine job that does all it needs too with this quite relaxing story of discovery, working together and having fun doing it

In summary this is a great film that I would recommend to the younger audience. It's still an enjoyable watch for an adult I just thing the younger would appreciate it much more. Still a great film, good writing and looks lovely. It is a solid 7/10

Animation. The animation is very amazing,mwah chef's kiss. The style, the ambience it's just... it's just so good it feels like they're trying to draw your attention from something, hmmmmm... oh yeah, trying to draw your attention from the fact that THE ADULT WOMAN GROOMED A TEN YEAR OLD BOY, yeah penguin highway you're not slick, I know why your animation's good, you might have tricked my good friend ... but you won't trick m- AWWWWW IS THAT A FACKING PENGUIIIIN!!! AN ARMY OF PENGUIIINS!!!!!? Animation's a 10 cause...penguin 🐧

The story of penguin highway is very easy to follow, Aoyama,a smart kid feels he's to grown for his age, meets lady with with supernatural abilities and basically have an adventure. The characters however, I'm sure whoever made them was thinking with the wrong heart, I mean how can you tell me you made a boy that's smart borderline genius and quite frankly very relatable to extremely intelligent children, and then you go ahead and FACK it all up by making him a FACKING DEGENERATE,why just why, let's not forget the FACKING 20 SOMETHING YEAR OLD LADY who clearly knew the child was oogling her and instead of reprimanding him, she rather enables him, WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FU-
Oh but biggy it's a kid's show, don't read into it that much. A kid's show, A KID'S SHOW? Aight bet, reverse the roles real quick and instead of a boy ogling and think about breast 30mins a day, its now a ten year old girl who's obsessed with a 20 something year old man's VEINY ASS DI-. Not so kid friendly now is it. 7,story gets a 7

Overall if you're a fan of studio Ghibili styled animation you'dlike the style of this animation and if you like MEETING AND INVITINGTEN YEAR OLD BOYS you'llalso love this show, the art'sgood, story's not but fun to watch either way, 7. Babai

The epitome of bad writing and cliche. this movie is everything i hate about anime. The characters are unlikeable, filled to the brim with (bad) cliches. I like cliches, when theyre done right but not when they arent interesting, arent funny, and are not ENTERTAINING.... (anime writer: woah! entertainment? but thats the last thing that i, an anime writer thinks about when i write a screenplay.... )
Ive never before rolled my eyes or facepalmed watching something so much until i watched this anime. It also has a hint of pseudointelligence that i despise so much in japanese media. I know Japanese and i watch ... everything with jp audio and no subs, and i can say with utmost confidence that the dialog and voice acting is appalling and painful to listen to.
If you are braindead, and are obsessed with anything japanese, then i recommend this, i also recommend everything else on this website if you liked this movie.
if you watch things for entertainment, then i recommend you stay away from this movie at all costs, as if you watched crappy anime #238943 and #1261 or anything similar before then you have already seen this movie.
