Wan Sheng Jie

In this world, angels, demons, and other supernatural beings peacefully coexist with humans. Neil Bowman is a demon who is unlike most; he is mesmerized with human culture, and no matter how hard he tries, he can't do anything evil. Thus, he runs away from Hell and up to Earth.

Neil moves in with his online friend and vampire, Ira Blood, along with Ira's many roommates. Despite coming to Earth to meet humans, Neil discovers that not a single one of his new roommates is actually human. Along with Ira, there's Lynn Angel, the stern angel landlord; Lynn's little sister, Lily, who falls from Heaven; Abu, a mummy who never speaks; and Vladimir Eliot Kirilenko, a werewolf tasked with monitoring Neil.

What most of them don't realize—not even Neil himself—is that Neil possesses the powers of the Demon King. What effect will this have on the residents of Apartment 1031 on All Saints Street?

Warning, vague spoilers ahead!

I'm giving this a 10 because All Saints Street (or Wan Sheng Jie) does what it sets out to do perfectly. What I mean by that is that this show's format is intended to be concise and simple, with each episode running for only a few minutes. The plot of each episode consists of random antics between cast, and are usually wrapped up relatively neatly at the end of each episode. I say relatively because the beginning of the series is a flash forward, while the final episode ends on a cliffhanger. Other than that, you can watch any of the episodes ... from this show in a vacuum, which is what I believe it was intended to be made as, for the most part.

Speaking of the story, the antics I mentioned earlier are very cute and heartwarming, and the personalities of each character bounce off of the others very well. The series succeeds in this aspect, and each character is super lovable and enjoyable to watch.

This is the most underrated show of 2020. A hidden gem that desperately needs to be shared and discussed more. It is so funny without being forced. Every character is amazingly well designed visually and integrally. The music is great and creates such a fun ambiance. I genuinely enjoyed this so much, even though the episodes are four minutes long, I felt like I had just watched a full-fledged episode at the end; it was that satisfying. I would recommend this show to anyone, young or old, male or female shounen or shoujo fan anyone.

This is the best short anime I've ever seen ... bar non and it can actually compete in my top 25 anime of all time even with how short it is, I literally cannot recommend this high enough. Go watch if you haven't yet.

Mixed Feelings

01-03 ― That's why they say not to judge a book by its cover; the king of demons resembles and much with the Satania of DropOut, harmless, useless, poor, a great friend and emanates charisma, basically a Pokemon with other words (A shame Haiquing Xia, Neil's voice actor, is as enthusiastic as an otaku going to school).

Worse than asking a friend’s opinion to choose something, and ending up choosing the opposite of what they chose, only being Neil to think that his web friend is actually a game of choices. Choose the one that turned him into a bum who change the day for dawn ... (nothing to do with him being a vampire, trust) to eat noodles and play a JRPG.

Well, lucky for Lynn, he still hasn’t found a salesman who told him to go graze at the corner market since it's cheaper. His indignation with the infraction is memorable, making him a model citizen, if he weren't an angel, he probably would have been killed by the mafia by now; imagine if this honest man ran for presidency, all he had to do was throw the obvious at the people's heads: "Property tax is measured in number of bathrooms." And that would end corruption, finishing with a brain explosion.

04-06 This thing with Neil reminds me of Majin Buu, how can a plump and cuddly pink gum be the embodiment of evil? Well, it’s just not messing with Mr. Satan and the puppy that nothing bad happens. So why involve the shirtless werewolf syndicate? This will only generate more headache, and consequently will become a Good Omens (TV series), just without Murphy's Law activating every second.

Damao not only lost in the mysterious box, but also was almost taken to the nearest zoonosis for castration, but that wouldn't have done any good anyway. Only to schedule surgery the estimate is 1 year, the process itself only in the next life. However, while the future is still uncertain, the way will be to endure a vampire with the face of a stoner as a colleague of four, whose insignificant presence is already disrupts the Muscle Pump environments.

Neil easily has the face of someone who enters a brothel without knowing what it's all about, and would leave there with the girls of the night all rehabilitated (in his mind); making the only phallic object they trace in his hands, are the beautiful architecture of a rock harp, that is, a plantain with a Moe face. And if the money still speaks louder, the cute panda will get you a job in the Pet Shop, with the bonus of the clientele not distorting so much from the old job to such an extent.

07-09 As our master Once-ler once said, "Am I really that bad?" He only thought of the poor souls deprived of any warmth in difficult times of cold. So I ask you, is your shining angelic wings worth so much? It is for a greater good, isn't it described in the Bible: "Do good and lend, expecting nothing in return"; only then will your wings grow back like Lucifer's.

Is this a Trollface Quest Horror reference? No, I don’t think so, it’s just buggy clouds, it happens in the best families, not everyone reviews their programming codes, and things like that can occasionally happen; another example of that is you being robbed by moles, practically blind animals that shouldn’t even come out of their burrows, how possibly incompetent are you to let such a scenario actually happen?

Christian monsters (check); sending a Christmas jingle from unknown people in costume to your family (check); try to make the boys read almost a thousand pages of the Bible just for fun, and then put the responsibility on Santa’s back (check); getting the cutest gift, but not knowing who gave it (check); the group's little lamb doing girl with kitten ears fanservice (check); hum TLOU tunes until realizing that in fact it was a ghost all along (check... we love you Abu).

10-12 The most real thing about this anime is definitely Lynn asking Lily if she did her homework. The world could be falling apart outside, you might have a fever of 42 degrees, maybe you're not even having class, but one thing that will never change is your mom putting pressure on you to be someone in life, and for that, you'll need to figure out what the quadratic formula is for. Even with Neil, it was like that, the only difference being that his homework was running over old ladies in GTA.

Too bad Neil didn’t play any dating simulators too; the guy is so good that he believes he's rocking his own lie. That's having high self-confidence is. It is also regrettable as boy Nin-Nin missed in his typing classes, for me who writes a 2-line text even more in Chinese, and then suddenly erases, is just proving that they wrote more wrong than right, and not even the autocorrect could fix it.

Imagine if Wan Sheng Jie was animated in click frames from a camera, the 4 minutes of the episode would be halved, or he would have a normal time of 24 minutes, but each frame of animation is equivalent to 6 minutes? When real-life Re:Creators happens and Neil is materialized in his physical form, no one forgets to answer him that the reason his relationship with Lily seems strange, is because he keeps sending letters to his parents saying that she is like a sister to him; not even Iruma-kun reached such a low level in the last episode of the season.

Conclusion: This will be the perfect anime for you who like to see the opening several and several times, repeated montages bordering on having more content by themselves than the rest. Oh, and this opening, it seems that Kikuo tried to sing in Chinese and became the most nauseating and torturous thing possible, not to mention that she could easily be the Opening of Jojo Part 6, also takes advantage and mix it with Mob Psycho; but by far the worst thing here is to have a mention of a Halloween episode in the Op, but everything was nothing but a farce, I've never felt so deceived since the Opening 17 of One Piece, and yet at that time, I didn't have to go to MAL to see who Nick Hoult was.
