Continuing their perilous descent down the Abyss, Riko, Regu, and newfound friend Nanachi reach the Abyss' fifth layer, The Sea of Corpses. Upon arriving at the research station known as Idofront, the main trio encounter the mysterious Prushka, the alleged daughter of Bondrewd, who leads them to the White Whistle responsible for Nanachi's dark past. Despite the welcoming appearances of Idofront's residents, Nanachi warns the young adventurers that things are not always what they seem. With the only route to the sixth layer shrouded in mystery and Bonedrewd's schemes awaiting them, what sacrifices must be made in order to continue the journey down to the bottom of the Abyss?

I really wish to give new Made in Abyss entry better score and until the end it was solid 8/10. Good watch with a few minor issues - pacing is too fast, Riko and Reg are still the least interesting characters in their own series, severe lack of worldbuilding in comparison with TV series, annoying fanservice. But Bondrewd is amazing, easily one of the best modern antagonists, Nanachi and her complicated relationships with him is highlight of the movie, visuals and music are great.
Well, last 15 minutes and certain character almost ruined my enjoyment. Beware of spoilers and grammar.

I don't know what to say other than this is the best piece of media I have ever seen, and I don't think anything will ever be able to top it. I'm not even going to go into that much detail because whoever is reading this just needs to go watch this movie immediately.

This movie follows our challengers, Riko, Reg, and Nanachi as they challenge Bondrewd and the 5th layer of the abyss. Bondrewd, being the monster that he is, obviously won't make that easy on them, and as such we have this movie.
In terms of the Made in Abyss arcs, this is absolutely the read more

This movie and the arc it adapted is the pinnacle and the very top of all media for me. Nothing will be able to top it, to say this movie is perfection is a massive understatement.

The movie picks up right after the end of the first season and covers everything in the 5th layer expanding on what the finale of the previous season built up to and does it beautifully. I was initially worried when Kinema shifted from a traditional season to movie format but boy did it deliver while only cutting out very few things from the manga original story while adding in read more

If you're a big fan of Made in Abyss, you should watch this movie.

Very deep storytelling, brave characters, solid bonds. Especially family love. Do you have important people? Of course, I also have them. When I saw tremble someone, I'll help him or her. Even if that's an unfulfilled wish, I never give up. This movie makes me think so. Not to mention, the main theme is similar to that. Bondrewd is not your typical villain at all. He has original thoughts and love for his cherished people. Nanachi, Riko, and Reg are justice side but Bondrewd is on semi anti-hero side. He is evil read more
