This review has been written whilst only watching three episodes of the series, so things could possibly change. Don’t sue me.
Additionally this review may contain spoilers for the first three episodes, so read at your own risk.

TLDR: I think Tanya is a unique and refreshing character with unique beliefs and motives. The artwork and sound design is nothing particularly ground breaking, but it does have its moments during the fight scenes. I'd recommend this anime to anyone that enjoys anti-hero protagonists or WW1/Magic weapons.

So far this anime has surprised me in regards to how refreshing the main character Tanya is. With most action anime's releasing read more

For starters, I've watched the first 3 episodes so far. I may update this review later. Now, let's do this already.

[Minor spoilers alert]

STORY: 3/10.
This show revolves around Tanya, a little girl who used to be an office worker in his past life, but was punished by an entity self-named God, though our protagonist oftens refers to this character as "being X". The punishment our MC faces is to be reincarnated as a little girl in a world heavily inspired in 1900's Europe, which, of course, leads to this World War I-ish scenario where the story takes place, but involving magic for reasons you only read more

I usually refuse to judge an anime before I've seen it completed, but I'll make an exception here d/t multiple reviews ripping this thing to shreds. MINIMAL SPOILERS BELOW READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Art
The atmosphere of this anime is gritty wartime. The author is reincarnated intoa new world after angering god and turned from a sociopathic salaryman into a impoverished loli girl. The setting is pre-World War Germany in an alternate universe where magic exists. For being wartime, the color is appropriate to what you'd see on the battlefield. The character is well drawn, but has very oddly displayed facial expressions. This could be read more

Well I would dare to say that this anime is the more better and interesting version of Shuumatsu no Izetta (Izetta: The Last Witch) in term of its world war setting, magics in WW, and women in war. And apparently, the Empire represents the German during WW1, and the Republic is France. The Island is U.K., The Allies in the north are Scandinavia. they teamed up against the empire (the german) it seems at this point of this WW1 scenario (according to the geography at the very least). But the actual setting of the anime starts from 1914 (when the MC was born into this read more
