Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 2nd Season Part 2

After a stern yet compelling speech by Otto Suwen, Subaru Natsuki solemnly swears that he will successfully make it through this timeline and save everyone he can along the way. The first step toward achieving this goal is to help Emilia work through her past; however, that is easier said than done. Feeling as if she has been lied to by everyone around her, it will be difficult for Emilia to trust anyone, even Subaru, her self-proclaimed knight.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 2nd Season Part 2 presents the culmination of Subaru's experiences with the Sanctuary and its people, along with his unwillingness to give up hope on saving them.

This will be a review for season 1 and 2. Didn't really know much about Re:Zero before watching besides the main girls names. The return from death aspect was definitely cool and refreshing at the start and while I feel it came to be both under and over utilized in different ways, it kept things at varying levels of freshness. Characters are pretty well written, especially in the later half of season 2 where a lot of them get fleshed out more. I think the first half of season 1 and the 2nd half of season 2 were the strongest, it got a bit dull ... in between but I'm looking forward to season 3 because it does seem like things are ramping up from here as things fall into place. I fel like the world building was a little barren but its been starting to expand on it more and more pieces falling into place. I'm hoping the anime keeps up with the quality of season 2 part 2 but we will see.

Mixed Feelings

So I haven't finished the last episode still a few minutes left but overall, I lost interest in this series. I didn't want to drop the last few episodes so I forced myself to watch it, no disrespect to fans of the series. Not one of the best for the series. I have no interest in watching the 3rd season, maybe I will pick it up after a few months but yea this was a hard watch for me.

The story got predictable after 5 episodes, if your like me then you might not enjoy it but to each their own.

Character development: 6/10
Story: 6/10
Animation: 6/10
Enjoyment: 5/10

The pacing is bad. It is extremely slow; the story barely crawls forward. This fact is mostly due to how bad the dialogue is unfortunately.

There is way too much dialogue and it hurts the pacing real bad; there are scenes with twice as much dialogue as needed.

Less is more, and the same is true for dialogue; a good writer should strive to tell his or her story with just the right amount of words. There is no need to insult the viewers' intellects by spelling out everything happening on screen.

Besides this, the show is good. There are some other problematic elements: The occasional voice and ... animation desync, a lot of flashbacks, characters acting in cartoonish ways, and some dumb op abilities.

And there are some good elements: Nice animation, cool premise, interesting messages, and a good mix of hope and despair as the main themes of the story.

Overall, bad dialogue is the main problem of Re:Zero and it is not going anywhere.
