Reading this after having seen the movie adaption of the light novel the manga is also based off of. The read is worth it for the art alone, its at its peak here with crazy details into the surroundings and the mecha suits, the gore, lots of gore. The time loop aspect is fun and its nice seeing the main characters reactions to things as they go on. Other than that I would say the plot is just serviceable, up until the 3rd act where I think things take a little downturn, I think the ending itself is good thematically but it doesn't feel final ...

This feels like on of those anime that has so many layers to it that its hard to fully grasp it's full prowess in one watch. All I know is that I really liked it and I want more. This is definitely an anime that some people will love and some will hate, its hectic, its sometimes unintelligible, it's highly intelligent, but it doesn't require you to be. The style of editing used in this is very unique and I loved it, can see why some people wouldn't though. The characters in this are all very unique and fun, they almost seem like a caricature ...

Review is mostly for all 3 parts. They definitely cooked really hard with these movies. Reading about the behind the scenes and how long it took these movies to come to fruition, seeing it on screen definitely makes sense. Might be the most character animation I've seen in any anime movie, any scene where there can be movement happening its there, no matter how little, and it makes for such a fluid looking movie its beautiful. The movies themselves are just very cinematic, having the same director as Bakemono it makes sense, but the style is just right up my alley. The fight scenes in ...

Look Back (Anime) add
Short and sweet. This was really good as I had expected to be having read the one shot manga it's adapting. Studio Durian despite this being their first anime did an amazing job adapting Fujimoto's art style and characteristics, I really couldn't wish for anything more, and the color pallet in this is just perfect. The story is really good, although I feel like it to fully hit its hardest you need to have a little knowledge on the manga industry and ideally even a little bit about Fujimoto himself to really help draw the parallels between the two. It's well told and while its ...

Picked this one up after seeing some clips from the first episode, while it definitely didn't peak there, the quality isn't consistent like that for the whole season. There are a good bit of really really well animated sequences in this anime, knock my socks off good, but then there are also parts where they just blatantly switch to CGI animation, its a real whiplash effect and really unfortunate. Then the story itself is really not all that interesting so far, I'm willing to let it slide a little bit because it does feel like a set up period for the main arcs that are ...

I surprisingly quite enjoyed this one, not my usual forte but the characters in this really help it pull through for me. It's a usual kind of romcom but its got its own differences that make it worth watching. The animation in this is really good and really helps the lowkey yet really nice character designs pop, they're not over designed or anything yet they're all unique and well designed. All the girls have different personalities while also not falling too hard into the typical stereotypes we get for these kinds of anime. Quickly grew to the anime I was most excited to put on ...

Mixed Feelings
As a fan of Chainsaw Man this was a good read, get some more content with the characters we love and a couple of the moments are actually pretty good. As an actual book its not great, mostly just because the writing itself is just basic generic quality, its not bad but its just bland. The 4 mini stories that are in this LN are good and they all have uniqueness to them, no retreading old grounds and we get some cool insights that we didn't get to see about certain characters. In the end no one is reading this to find some peak writing, ...

Mixed Feelings
Watching right after the TV show I was considering this the culmination of the anime but its not really that. It kind of stays true to anime movie fashion with just being more for the sake of more. The animation and fights are just as cool as the series so to watch for that is reason enough but the actual story in this is just not good. We get more revenge story but this time its even more half baked than it was in the original series. In the end nothing really changes and its just played out. Worth the watch for more Afro Samurai ...

I only watched this mostly as a joke and going off of the hype of elf season (Frieren and Marcille) and I guess I don't regret watching but its a total waste of time. If you are in to fat woman than maybe you'll find some sort of enjoyment from this lol but that's just not my cup of tea so I wasn't expecting to like this. Even despite that though the show is pretty bad, animation is very low quality, the fan service is just random as hell and the story is mostly nonexistent. I'm happy the episodes were only 12 min long because ...

Afro Samurai (Anime) add
Have heard people speak of this anime a lot, finally got around to it and its about what I'd expect from a 5 episode action based anime. The animation and the fight scenes are pretty good, has a lot of its own style and atheistic and its really enjoyable to watch. The story itself is serviceable, it really does nothing special, its a classic revenge story with not twists or anything unique but its good enough to keep things moving. I think the shortness of this series is its only downfall, if it had more time to cook and develop its characters and the world ...
