Ohhhh... I see...well that's nice 😊. I'm not active on MAL anymore. Not as much as I used to.

Initially, I'm hesitant to put my birth year publicly. But, I don't wanna mislead people into thinking I'm a kid/teenager/youth (in her early 20s) who still loves/likes anime/manga.

When MAL users befriend me online, I wanna make sure they're aware who they are talking to / speaking to / conversing with on the other side of the computer screen.

There are so many ways to hide one's birthday, birth month, and birth year in MAL. I opted not to because I would be deceiving MAL users that I'm not an adult female (which, I really am, unfortunately).

I do have to say that I'm on that age now where I'm kind of ashamed I still like anime/manga. I'm still afraid to admit it.

But, today, I am getting to know a 20-year-old co-worker (we work in the same building, but in different departments). He heavily influenced me to try the Frieren: Beyond Journey's End series.

Right now, I'm still in Chapter 2. 🤣 LOL! I've become a slow reader ever since I stopped binge-reading Oshi no Ko manga series last Summer 2023.

Anyway, I'm liking it so far (the Frieren manga) even though I'm only in Chapter 2.

But, my co-worker insisted me to watch the anime before reading the manga. Many MAL users would agree: watch the anime before reading the manga, or, don't read the manga at all since the anime is already very satisfactory! 😁

I did the exact opposite because I'm inclined and more in-touch in getting to know the characters via binge-reading the manga first before diving into the animation. I'm a manga-type of gal: read it before I watch it. I see the anime as a bonus to the beauty of the manga storytelling. 😄

After reading every manga chapter, I leave chapter comments on the MAL forum discussions. If I get lazy, then I just review the manga volume in the Goodreads application.

Thank you very much! How did you remember that March 19 was my birthdate? 🙂 And, may I ask which anime/manga discussion did I met you (if we've ever met or known each other that way)?

(Fun fact: I intentionally publicize my birth date and birth year so MAL users are aware that I'm an adult female who still loves anime/manga even if my love for it has only dwindled to 10% over the past two years or so.)
