Each episode of the second season of Re:Zero had a corresponding episode in this short chibi series. Essentially, these are short comedy skits with the characters in the chibi style, this is mainly done through Otto's diary as he is writing about the adventures.

Even though a lot of people may say the art style is too basic, it needs to be remembered that this is on purpose. Moreover, I would like to point out how clean and smooth the actual animations are - the art style itself is actually of a very impressive quality, even within such a simplistic form.

Aaah, Re:ZERO... what a series I had been missing out on! After having watched the first season in less than 2 weeks, I immediately continued on with the second one and boy, was I satisfied! The second season of this work of art is (almost) as amazing as the first. Now knowing all the possibilities of this new world presented to us, we are shown much more character development outside of Subaru himself. I have to say that it's a shame season 2 ends on such an abrupt note, but I suppose every nice thing has an end. I was disappointed that Rem never returned read more

It wouldn't be a re:Zero season without one of these I guess, or should I say, it wouldn't be a popular TV series without one of these, period.

Seasonal fatigue is a real thing, and for completionists, it's even more so a curse in the form of a challenge.

“Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Break Time 2nd Season” is as its predecessor promised, Chibified commentary over the events of the corresponding season, although, this one spans both parts of season 2, so be careful about spoilers. The first 13 episodes revolve around re:Zero seasons 2 part 1, so it's better you watch it after that and even more critical read more

Before anything else, one thing must be kept in mind: This entire show is a series of shorts in a chibi artstyle. It's a lot more immediate comedy and dialogue focused, so don't go in expecting great fluid action scenes or a big enthralling story out of it. However, the show does just keep going through several POV characters, so there is variety in backgrounds and the like.

That said, if you are a fan of re:zero WATCH THIS SHOW. There is some funny in Break Time, but where it really proved outstanding for me was in what it added to the main Re:Zero show, even read more
