Dororo (Anime) add (All reviews)
I wish I could remember more about Dororo. It has only been a season or so since I watched it, but I remember liking it. The art style was beautiful. I thought the fights were well made, the story had been shorted but in a way to make it more succinct. Another surprise was that it also had a relatively good ending.

The feudal lord agreeing to sacrifice his firstborn son without hesitation was a nice twist to the biblical stories. I am used to a scenario where people do anything to save their child. They also don't make the feudal lord as blatantly evil read more

I not sure I will ever be the same after the butt scene/s. Sarazenmia does have something to say. A delightful treatise on bonds and friendship. Another weird but deep show from director Ikuhara, Kunihiko, someone who has a reputation for weird but thought-provoking anime.

Each boy has an issue to work through, whether that is an issue with family or unrequited love. Sarazenmia tackles these in a unique way where each time they defeat a foe, the price is that one of the boy's secrets is revealed to the other two. There are a lot of themes going on in Sarazenmia. I honestly wish read more

Robihachi was a weird experience for me, enjoyable but strange. It reminded me of a lot of Space Dandy except less perverted and with more a focus on food and travel.

Robi, the main guy, is very much the lovable idiot. He has gotten himself massively in debt falling for schemes pitched to him by pretty ladies, be they alien or human. As a result of this, he is tracked down by Hachi, a mysterious man working for mister Yang, the debt collector who we find out has a sort of crush on Robby. To cure his financial woes in his flight from Yang, Robby sets read more

Oh, boy is Wise Man Grandchild(WMG) generic! It like they made a checklist to make sure they hit all the generic fantasy Isekai tropes. That said, it is barely an Isekai as the main guy does not remember his past life; for the most part, just his education. It also still manages to be enjoyable with likable characters, but let us not kid around it is still generic as all hell. That genericness is what holds it back in the end.

The whole premise of this show is that Shin is comically overpowered, and his adoptive grandfather never taught his common sense. Shin is read more

To say I am disappointed in the anime community for its reception of Attack on Titan (AOT), Season 3, part 2(S3P2), would be an understatement. Don't get me wrong; I do not think this season was terrible. I thought it was good, but I certainly don't believe it to be God's gift to anime. I certainly don't feel that this season deserves the honor of being in the prestigious 9's club (i.e., 9 on MAL's 10 point scale). The 9 rating is something that is supposed to be a hard task with only nine shows/movies accomplishing and holding onto before this season. With my bellyaching read more

Demon Slayer is a typical shounen type show. That being said, it's focus only stunning animation, a proper atmospheric soundtrack, and good use of its cast turn it into a reasonably enjoyable show.

Demon slayer's story is very "monster of the week," so they do have to make the most of the fights. There is the main storyline going on in the background. It, unfortunately, moves at a glacial pace right up till the end of the first season.

Tanjiro is the resolute, kind protagonist, and his mood and feelings felt infectious. It just starts to sway you, and any character is he is around. He very read more

To say that season 2 of One Punch Man (OPM) season 2 is a step down from the first is only partially true. The animation quality may have decreased, but that was bound to happen as from what I have heard of the first season was that it a passion project. Story-wise One's wit and humor still shines, so overall, it is still an enjoyable show. That said, I did not enjoy it as much as One's other work, Mob Psycho.

This season, in particular, is focused around the new antagonists Garo and the Monster Association. A big part of the season is concentrated on read more

The Daily Lives of High School Boys (Boy's) is one of those slice of life comedies. Boy's reminds me a lot of Nichijou another show with as generic a setting but whose zany characters made it very enjoyable. In the same vein, A lot of your enjoyment of this show will come from if you enjoy the jokes if most of them miss it just an average show.

Boy's follows unsurprisingly three highschool boys living out their daily lives. Though saying it follows those three most of the time is incorrect. Boy's will often shift who it is following on a given episode from the read more

Honestly, there is not much to say about Isekia Quartet. Its a crossover of 4 popular isekia shows at a typical Japanese high school with everything down in the chibi art style. There are some enjoyable jokes, but it nothing earthshaking. If one has watched at least 2 or more series featured here, then there is some enjoyment to be found.

Isekai quartet is a crossover show of Re Zero, Overlord, Saga of Tanya the Evil, and Konosuba. They all are magically transported to a Japanese high school and hijinks ensue. They are jokes and barbs thrown between these characters, and they go through read more

Preliminary
I gave Afterlost a chance because it was helmed by Madhouse a studio that has a good track record for the most part, but boy was I bored and disappointed fast.

From what I heard, this is a mobile game adaptation. Mobile games do not exactly have a good reputation, so with this show's story feeling very disjointed; it just reinforces this bias. The story is just a mess I never knew what was going on or why it mattered. I heard from a friend it took them till around episode 8 to finally rectify that.

It has a decent pop song, but it feels so forced read more
