What the 2 have in common:
It involves a Red Head demon who is in a relationship with a guy, both animes share almost the same genre, except the plot where in HSDxD the Red Head is the master, while in SMnT the Red Head is the slave due to some set backs.
As my first recommendation,
High School DxD and Shinmai Maou no Testament have a lot of similar tropes.
Main Hero deviate just a bit, but nonetheless are both badass.
Main Heroine are both redheaded devil/demon.
Plot is ecchi, yet genuine.
Animation is decent and have continuing seasons.
If you are looking for another harem, look no further, because I have guided you in the path of light.
If you enjoyed High school DxD and want another Harem Ecchi with action then Shinmai Maou no Testament is the perfect anime for you.
why?
-both have demons female leads.
-both have "plot" and PLOT.
-both have unexpectedly good animated scenes.
I highly recommend both if you are into (ofc you are into) romance + harem + ecchi with Nudity.
At first, the premise of these shows might be a bit hard to swallow: hot demon chick meets boy, boy staves off evil, rescues the girl, and somehow collects a harem of girls in his abode in the process. The female leads of DxD and Shinmai Maou are in need of great support due to various circumstances, but Issei and Basara are able to take on these massive undertakings and come through for Rias and Mio.
DxD and Shinmai Maou have a lot to offer once you strip off their outer layers. What is it like watching DxD and Shinmai Maou? At first, the shameless gratuitousness of the violence and perversion of these shows might hurt a little, but once they get moving you'll start to feel all right, maybe even enjoy it somewhat. However, even if this is your first time, if you are steaming for some hot demon-on-human action, you're in for a HELL of a ride...literally!
In short, these shows want to make you think long and hard about why you watch anime: do you watch them for their plots, or do you watch them for their naked jiggling boobies? I know MY answer, do you know yours? read more
- Both have a red-haired girl as the main female protagonist
- The storyline of both is demon world
- Both heroes have powers lying in their arms
- OPPAI is the main attraction in both
Both have devil concept to it. The main heroine is red head just like Rias, and both are daughter to powerful devil lord. Both Issei and Basara can make weapon appear from their hand and help the main heroine. Both are well endowed and in highschool... Seriously you can make this into a spin off of each other.
• Demons/Underworld
• Main lead has a hidden power within him
• Lot's of sexy erotic fanservice. Ecchi fans +
• Crimson Haired devil bishoujo makes contract with male protagonist
• Action-packed battles
HS DXD story is a very close match to that of shinmai maou testament, red haired demon kings daughter with big (.)(.). and a hero that is slightly perverted.
Although the Guy in HS DXD starts off a bit of a wimp and become strong, were as
the main guy in shinmai maou no testament is already a bit of a bad ass.
to sum it up.
Habitual Ecchi that the most followed trend between these two anime and a harem of demons.
In both:
- Main protagonist has demonic special powers.
- Both have a big harem.
- Both have main protagonist that struggle to accept their demonic powers in the beginning.
- Both protagonist go to school.
Both anime is super familiar. Both main male characters have a weapon in there right hand. Both main female characters have crimson red hair. Both series have extremly much fanservice which can make it very annoying at times. Both of the female main characters are born to a demon lord. But in the end Shinmai Maou no Testament is just a copy cat of High School DxD.
- Both are ecchi and Harem, with action.
- World of gods and demons in conflict.
- The protagonist is set to a "family" , and decides to protect her at all costs. In addition he possesses a weapon in his arm , whose power is increasing thanks to the perverted acts .
From having redheads as main characters to having devils and angels. These anime are very similar in certain aspects. Issei and Tojo, they are both protagonist that have to save the world. Shinmai Maou no Testament and Highschool DxD pertain to similar genres. Such as, fanservice, fantasy, ecchi and harem.
+ Similar Characters (Issei/Basara Special Weapons) (Rias-Mio Red headed and Similar power as well both are Demon's Princess (Lucifer's Daughter)
+ Contain superpowers/ sacred gear
+Demon,gods,humans...
+ A lot of ecchi (Shinmai Maou: Overboarding Ecchi Stuff !!! )
+ Male Characters surrounded by harem
+ Similiar Tags
+ High School Background
+ They share the same house
Difference:
+ Basara is way more smarter
+ Issei is a servant / Basara is a master of puppets
+ Basara's Teacher is in love with him (Favorite: Watch the OVA) Awesome !!!!!
Both MC are pervert OP characters.
Both girls are red hair and a family member of a demon lord.
Both anime has harem and ecchi.
There are always a bad guy who will become a good guy:)
Simply put, High School DxD is basically Shinmai Maou no Testament minus the borderline hentai. There is plenty of "plot" to be seen in both and the similarities can be drawn up from the same setting (demons residing in earth) to identical primary love interest (redhead demon).
Nonetheless, in contrast High School DxD does not take itself seriously and the comedy aspect is emphasized. Fan service is aplenty but don't expect stark, hentai-esque boob fondling and boob sucking.
-Both have a huge chested, redhead female lead
-Both have involvement with demons and high school
-Both main characters have some sort of power in their arm
-Both have a massive harem much bigger than average
You like harem, ecchi anime? Well, bith of those are for you. With a pretty much stupid hero who doesn't understand that 96 girls like, and who tries to become stronger in both cases, and with plots talking about demons, angels and stuff like that, both anime are very similar in genre.
-Both anime tell about a boy surrounded with many non-human girl companions to do some activity and mission.
-Both lead female character (Rias and Mio) are non-human girl (demon) and have red hairs and..., nice body.
-Both anime have same genre, especially ecchi, harem, romance, and demon.
-Both anime contain many fanservice and adult content, better watch it alone.
-Both animes have an extreme ecchi
-Both animes have demons/devils
-Both animes have a good harem
-Both female main character slightly have the samme attitude and appearance
Both are ecchi series. Both have a boy who falls in love with a devil princess with red hair. Both are somewhat enjoyable though DxD far outranks SMT due to having better artwork, more interesting character dynamics and cooler powers to boot.
the plot is quite similar in both the shows ,containing demons and action. Both have similar ecchi situations and the protagonist is with a red haired female character and a huge harem.
In both animes theres alot of fan-service, the characters have supernatural powers, both the MC have a harem and in both animes the maingirl has something to do with the demon lord
"Oh no, a busty thirsty red-hair demon girl takes over my home!"
In this battle between demons and gods, the main character finds himself a harem and uses it to become stronger. "Motto, motto!" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Similar plot and setting: The protagonist, a high school student, sees his life change when he meets a demon princess with red hair.
In both cases, the plot mainly takes place in a high school. Also, they are both harem anime, so the protagonist is surrounded by lots of female characters with different personalities. These characters are all related in one way or another to magic.
The main character is also similar, because in both stories, he is a high school student with powers that can materialize on his arm.
In addition, both contains a lot of fanservice.
These anime have almost the same exact premise with very minor adjustments to set them apart. The biggest difference is in DxD the mc serves the demon princess while in Testament the demon princess serves the mc. DXD also has better story development but Testmanent has a lot more fanservice, so it just depends on what you value more.
-Both series are about conflicts between devils and creatures like that.
-Both series revolve around a guy and his harem with girls.
-Both series feature a redhead and big-breasted main heroine
-Decent comedy and action, some drama as well
-Both series are fanservice-heavy, although Shinmai is quite a bit more hardcore.
If you enjoyed one, you are most likely going to enjoy the other as well.
The main cast in both anime have very similar personalities and character designs. All of the female cast are attracted to the protagonists, they are both some sort of gear and both are really powerful. The 2 main love interest have red hair and are a the daughter of the demon king in their respective universes.
If you like borderline hentai kind of ecchi, sexy red heads, busty girls, demon girls, magic, and demon lords? Then these shows have all of them packed into each other.
Both have Red Haired MC Girl.♥‿♥
OP MC boy
Action Fights are great,Unlocks Hidden Power
Harem,Romance are very similar ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Devil or demon realm are slightly similar
I highly recommend it if you love this type of anime.
Good luck and have fun watching hentai based anime (ง°ل͜°)ง
Both are tales of the supernatural with sexiness and comedy mixed in. Both involve battle harems being formed, trained and deployed in the demon world.
It involves a red haired demoness who is in a relationship with a guy which has double D's much like Rias, there is also a white haired loli that resembles Koneko, both animes share almost the same genre, except the plot where in HighSchoolDxD the Red Head is the mistress, while in ShinmaiMaounoTestament the demoness is the slave due to what happened in the anime.
We all know the reason why you watched High School DxD, am I right? This is just another typical harem+ecchi show but it is indeed very similar to DxD because of the Devil talk. Nice animation, really enjoyed it tbh (Might rewatch because of the quarantine hehe)
- supernatural beings (demons, gods, heroes)
- similar looking MC
- similar looking main girl
- MC with special skills
- uncensored ecchi scenes
---> oppai massage, moan etc. ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
Both are very similar. The protagonists look almost identical. The main female is a devil. There are Angels, Demons, and a 'Hero' faction. Both are harems, both revolve around the female lead's heir-to-leadership status. There are minor plot differences, but the jist is very similar.
There are, however, two main differences. Testament to the New Sister Devil is basically HSDXD on steroids. The ecchi, if the original, non crunchyroll version, is watched, is FAR more extreme. Every girl has their own body part they're stimulated through, and it's a very large point of the show. The sexual scenes are far more egregious. However, it makes up for it in far better (imo) combat. The 'spells' are less flashy, but the regular combat is much better.
The other differences is in protag backstories. To avoid spoilers, HSDXD's Issei is a much more from-zero-to-hero style, while Basara from Testament is much more realistic in why he's so strong.
All in all, most people will have watched HighSchool DXD before they'd have watched Testament, but if you liked one, you'll likely like the other. One is more ecchi and serious, while the other is more parody and story-based. read more
same red haired best girl, lots of fanservice, both have harem, and both have the same demon angel sort of plot. However shinmai maou no testament has a better story and much more fanservice
Shinmai Maou no Testament is High School DxD for people who only care about "plot". It honestly has a decent plot for what it provides us with, but I wouldn't personally recommend watching anything past season 1
I'll preface by saying Shinmai Maou no Testament, while sharing some similarities with DxD, is in its own (arguably lower) league but I do like it and can wholeheartedly recommend it. DxD's standout character, Issei Hyoudou is amazing. I just love his character. Very cool. That's something I can say about Toujou Basara too. He's very refreshing a character and not your stereotype harem mc. He has a backbone and a personality. The harem is also top-notch. If you liked DxD, give this a try.
It is basically a rip off of High School DxD but is so well made that it is completely seperate from it. It has its own story and it is a bit more ecchi than High School DxD. The main heroine (Mio) is also red headed like Rias and there are much more similarities but as I said it is completely different and if you liked High School DxD it is definitely worth watching.
OP male lead
Demon , god and etc
Both anime is ecchi
Harem of beautiful girl
Good animation and a lot of fanservice .
If you like fanservice then this is a must watch anime .
I swear when it comes to anime I turn dyslexic.
Big Booba all around and the main girl has red hair'
A semblance of a forced plot and AWESOME action scenes
but that's not important, but
SCARY demons
SEXY time
ME like
They both have a brown, spikey haired MC with a devil harem and a red haired love interest and best of all they both have nudity so if your a weeb who "watches anime for the plot" testament is the perfect ecchi harem anime for you
These are almost the same anime except that the MC of Shinmai Maou no Testament is way better that Issei, in my opinion anyway. Basara and Issei are both overpowered MCs that slowly learn just how strong they really are. One this is that Shinmai has 2 fewer seasons than DxD but the content is just as good. Basara isn't as much of a complete moron when it comes to the women around him and how they really feel about him and his power up requires physical contact with the girls in his harem where as it take Issei 3 seasons to even get close to 1st base. Basara was rounding 2nd by the 2nd episode lol. All in all 2 really good anime if you're into the genre but if not than I suggest you pick something else. I definitely recommend if you like ecchi and fan service or even if you just tolerate it, there's still some great moments in both anime and both deserved more seasons than they got. read more
In both:
-Main normal guy which loves erotic things and has the special powers.
-Main girl is from underworld demon.
-Similar art.
-No censorship on the chest and pants.
Perverse lad meets a beautiful redhair, and thus ends up in various shenanigans with monsters and higher beings from another world, both series emphasizes heavily on fanservice.
They're both about demons and have a lot fanservice, as well as no censorship and a main female lead with red hair and perverted, but caring male protagonists, though Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai. is way better than Highschool DxD in every aspect.
same perverted guy who becomes a property of some dark entity, the only diffence is that the guy in the other anime is treated like a their kind while in the other the guy is treated like a dog.
Main male characters (which look normal, though huge perverts) in both series are seemingly weak at first, but actually possess some special abilities. Main female characters are some sort of demons, and have a lot of authority throughout the series.
I Can't Do H and Highschool DxD are both ecchi and the protagonists fight to protect someone they love. Both anime involves magic and fighting a non-human.
Well, in both series, we have the typical high school boy with perverted thoughts. He meets a heroine that has a rather similar appearance but with a mysterious background and forms a "contract" with her.
There is quite a lot of ecchi, comedy, drama, and action in both series. Both anime also contain gag and generics. Just be aware of those if you decide to watch their series from the beginning.
Both are supernatural and have their comedy and ecchi moments. The male main character is also pervert like Issei (even more perverted than he) and the female main character is also similar with Rias.
It's pretty like this..... a woman barge onto his life and change everything.. well same level of epicness and ecchiness.... too bad both anime is epic but the ecchiness ruins it but it's still great :)) both is a masterpiece
similar everything literally....
•both have a pervert main protagonist young boy who all he can think is erotic shit
•both have another demon like supernatural red headed woman that uses some supernatural power contract so they are always together
•both have fan service and uncensored,
•both are set placed in a school, which involved fighting with monsters/humans/some supernatural things..
•both contain some comedy if visible, ecchiness to the extreme, school, romance.
•and both i dropped half way through or earlier.
Similar magic harem ecchi shows that feature more "oppai action" than what kids are comfortable with. Nevertheless, these are a notch above the generic harem shows, with a plot that is moving forward and fantastic character designs and animation.
-Both show boobies but i would say Dakara does it more professional and real
-Both MC's are perverts
-Both somewhat die and have a relationship with the heroin
-Both take place in school
Ecchi, Oppai and a story that you can easy follow
Both the heroines of these series may not be similar in personalities, Rias is the caring type, Lisara is the "tsundere" type, but both are extremely sexy girls from the underworld. Each of them will have to deal with perversion of the main protagonist as more girls will join the group on their adventure through the series.
Perverted male protagonist + a group of girls, isnt that a perfect combination?
In both of these anime there's one main guy character who uses his hornyness as his power. There are also a bunch of girls, and the main character gains power through one of these girls to defeat evil.
Both Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai and High School DxD got a male main character who is extremely perverted and gets power by ecchi stuff and the female main characters in both animes are demons and from the Grimoire clan. They both share a lot of stuff and at first impression they are almost identical but the story is different at the end.
In both anime, the main character is a pervert. High School DxD is about demons, while Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai. is about shinigamis, but both have similar art and ambiance.
Contains Ecchi and extremely Pervert main male. Both anime focuses on magic and special/choosen one(which of course the male prota)
Fap-able and both ended only by 1 arc(12eps)
The opening song is Trance-techno for both anime
it's just like twins anime with different maker....
Similarity is quite big in HS DxD and Dakara Boku. The main protagonist is a regular high school boy with a hiden super power/ wepon. A magic demon girl appears who is a royal member of the underworld and somehow they 2 end together. Ecchi is strong in both but Dakara wins with more nudity.
These two anime are very similar. They mix ecchi with harem and romance. They both involve demons with earth. The main guys special powers are very you could say . . . ecchi. Finally, they focus more on the battle's, but when the ecchi comes you will see some big breasts :D.
I will say only one thing... tits, tits everywhere. Ok, now lets get serious, DXD and Dakara Boku wa are similar in a lot of ways, main character is servent of a redhead demon/shinigami chick, and he is a pervert ofc. I thing DXD is better, because Dakara Boku wa gets interesting after 6th episode, but most important thing is... TITS, HOLY MOTHER OF TITS, tits everywhere ;)
both have the fan service that people watch the anime for.
both have action involved
The main lead character wants to protect the main female with all hes got. While In High School DXD the main protagnist is open about his felling for boobs , and such, the male lead in Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai is not so open.
Both characters have some sort of hidden power that makes them a lot more valuable.
DxD can be taken as a semi-harem the others is more of a....
Very similar in almost every aspect! If you liked Dakara boku wa, then you will definetly like High School DxD! good fighting scenes, good ecchi, good comedy! give it a try it won't dissapoint.
In both, the main character gets his powers from sexual thoughts and is surrounded by girls with special powers. Issei is a bit more badass with his powers, but is much more indecisive than Ryosuke. The lead female in each harem also have long red hair and are of royal blood.
Both have
- a beautiful red head demon who is also an heiress
- a perverted loser who happens to have a rare sacred weapon
- lots of fighting and nudity involved
Both have a red-haired female as the main heroine. They are very similar plot wise. There is action, romance and alot of juicy ecchiness. If you like one, you're almost guaranteed to like the other.
Main character boy very similar in taste - erotic things - physical constitution and voice aswell, and he has special powers.
Main character girl is from another dimension, but around same power, physical appearance.
Similar art.
No censorship.
-Both male MCs are perverts and have special powers, also they like breasts
-Both female MCs have red hair and are from the underworld
-Both shows have a lot of fanservise
Main Characters: Both main Charakters are perverted and love girls, panty shots and breasts.
Story line: Both characters help their female demonic master with their power of pervert. Both anime have a lot of Harem and show nudes often.
Difference: The demonic girl master in Dakara boku wa, H ga Dekinai doesn't have big breasts like in Highschool DxD, although other characters in the anime do have big Breasts. DxD´s Rias Gremory is very soft but Lisara Restall is very harsh and doenst like Ryosuke Kaga as person.
Own opinion: I personally enjoyed both anime eventhough I would prefer DxD over Dakara. If you don't like 'hardcore' ecchi you should give Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai a try because its not as extreme as DxD. If you enjoyed Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai you should definitely give DxD a try. I would see Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai as an prestage to DxD.
I hope i could help you finding an new anime!
Have fun with them!

let me just say that if you like Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai you will find that very same thing in High School DxD. even though i believe you should try to expand your anime watch list to many different types of anime. you would like High School DxD very much if you like Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai.
It's all about devotion for the red haired girl. Essentially, main character is forced to live with a rather attractive demon and decides to give its all to her in a sort of romantic, sort of lustful adventure.
School setting: ✓
Erotic boy encounters red haired demonic goddess: ✓
Demonic goddess is hot: ✓
Both willing to die for each other: ✓
Eventually they get feelings for each other: ✓
If you liked one, I'm certain you'll like the other. They're pretty similar, as stated above, and both are enjoyable.
Well ...The characters look almost the same ,if you like Ecchi ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and Magic (Who cares) ,this anime is for you ..
The both anime have everything what u want (well almost what u want) but if you want to see nipples ,both of the anime are Perfect for You :D
So basically there's a hot redhead chick fighting evil with the help of a perverted guy.
Both anime doesn't have much plot. however Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai feels like a cheaper rip off of High School DxD, still worth to watch.
Oh and lots of oppai is shown.
A blood world filled with paradise where both the main characters find themselves in an irresistible position of being able to own the highest standard of a woman.
'Highschool of the Dead' highlights the struggle for survival when the apocalypse has arrived. In the midst of such danger, desires arise in the most unpredictable of situations and the thought of 'you only live once' comes into play which in turn leads a person to show his true colours.
'High School DxD' exhibits an ambitious person who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals, be it in a comedic or perverted way. Putting battles side, adding to the picture are several beautiful individuals that would be able to tickle one's sense in the greatest of manners. read more
If you liked Highschool DxD, then you will like Highschool of the Dead too. Action, Ecchi, Supernatural are some genres in both anime. Cute girls with powers or guns —perfect !
The main characters are similar (a shy girl, the most powerful girl, a smart girl, and a guy...) A harem for the eyes ! ;)
Oppai, oppai, and then more oppai. These series have redefined the term "fan-service", using some of the most entertaining ways to show off boobs. Must-watch for aspiring gentleman (ecchi-lover).
Both shows have a great deal of half naked girls with a weapons, action and humor. What's not to like. So if you enjoyed Highschool DxD, there is no doubt that you'll like HOTD.
Both are about how a guy is suddenly thrown into a life threatening situation where they have no control over. Both are ecchi/action and a little bit of harem type animes.Highschool DxD has more of a demon/action theme to it where as Highschool of the Dead is more of a horror/action.
It has the same genres, the same harem girl types, and the same need for more, though in DxD's case, it has received a 2nd Season and the 3rd will probably be released Late 2014 or Early 2015
- Both have a 'highschool' and paranormal settings.
- MC in both series is easily like-able.
- Both follow a fan service/ecchi theme.
I watched High school DxD before HOTD and was hesitant to watch Highschool of the Dead because I ignorantly decided that it was probably going to be dull and no real plot however, I pulled myself to watch it and it was honestly surprising how there were elements which evoked emotion and not just in an erotic way... Definitely a must watch.
*Both are ecchi/action/harem type of shows...
* Male leads if needed becomes awesome badasses xD
* Female leads...hmmm they're similar in personalities...a bit..
* Both have great supporting cast...
* OP/ED/OST's & voice acting - in both was great...
* Both can create super awesome/unbelievable/memorable for years moments...
* Both are truly great if you're bored of other mediocre harems like Testament of the New Devil/ To Love-Ru/ Sora no Otashimono...
It both has the action in it and the harem. I guess thats important to some and the art are both about the same. I guess this 2 will be the absolute pair if its asking for similar recommendation.
High school students, Harem, Boobs, both illogical, both ecchi, both "meh" (at best) I also meant to say boobs, boobies, breasts, boobs, and more boobs. Oh and high school students. High School of the Dead is more of a survival of the fittest type of anime, with the MC being the guy who rises up from being beta to alpha--with hot babes wantin that hawt meat stick of love. DxD is more leniant, what I mean is that, the MC is just there to soak up all of the women + boy's attention. Sound different? Well not really, the story will center around the MC, and I don't just mean story, but all of the ladies too baby. One last thing these 2 anime's have in common is that you get this feeling inside of you that just tells you to not watch it when others are around.
A (minor) difference, HOTD has a zombie apocalypse - DXD has devils/angels ('n stuff like that).
HOTD and DxD are so perverted and naughty, one might mistake these for hentai (make sure to only watch in a comfortable setting!). Well if these aren't hentai... well that's not true IMHO, these 2 should be considered softcore hentai. Have fun kiddos! (I only watched them for the plot, and characters, nothing else.)  read more
Apart from the hard ecchi. Both of these anime are very crowded and funny. The main role seems to have become a harem king. Besides that, the Action is also very fun
Both anime's are ecchi and it's just nice en funny to see random shit happening, not only ecchi makes those anime's interesting but also the romance and the fights. They are never boring!
-The main characters are similar in both as they both dont give a second thoughts about what they are saying..
-Of course both shows have harem but they are slightly different.. DxD main character has a dream of creating harem while getting absorbed into perfect opportunity, while Trinity he builds harem around himself...
-Both animes are centered either about fighting or about dirty jokes and ect.
To put it simply both animes have strong lead which will work towards their goal.
If you liked Trinity Seven there is high chance of you liking DxD series as well
In both, the main character founds out that a girl close to him isn´t what she seemed like, meets a well endowed red-haired girl, gets mixed up with a supernatural and meets people with supernatural powers, most of them girls. In both, main character is a pervert and both series feature some perverted scenes(mild in Trinity Seven but heavy in Highschool DxD). Both are action, comedy and romance.
If you're tired of the harem Mc being a clueless dork, I refer you to Trinity Seven.
Both series are apart of the ecchi genre, although Trinity Seven is more tame
Both series have a lot of great comedy
Both series contain supernatural elements, which means there will be fights.
A teenage boy is drowning and drowning in women who has no problem humoring every single one of them. Both anime deal with magic and demons, while the main character himself is adjusting to his new found power and slowly mastering it with the help of his harem.
Both shows have a common theme of a main (male) character, predominately surrounded by female characters, where erotic references are made. Despite how the story itself is a fantasy thriller - a magic based plot line reflected in both shows.
(the show is in its early airing phase)
While the to anime are different in plot yes, there many aspects the same such as both the may characters are in there own way docile and perverted, while at first they seem weak both the main characters use their perverted ways to an advantage as well as this both anime's are both GOD-DAMN hilarious, i mean it's not every day main hero uses their for their own personal gain by striping girls of their clothes and dignity. overall both of these anime are rated 10 out of 10 by me and they seem almost identical in there comedy.
• Both revolve around a male led harem.
• Both main characters have evolving super powers.
• Both of the locations are set in and around high schools.
• Both series contain comedy elements.
The Male protagonists of both the series have similar pervert behaviour, whether it is Issei in High School DxD or Arata in Trinity Seven. There is Strong use of Supernatural Powers and Magic in Both the series, whether fighting, manifesting weapons or teleportation, everywhere magic is used. In terms of Harem, High School DxD has more Harem than Trinity Seven. Action scenes are nerve-racking in Both of them and both series will make you laugh so hard because of their hilarious comedy scenes. But there are many serious scenes too. So if you like one then you may like the other one too. That's it guys. read more
Both of those animes are ecchi/harem animes with a pervert protagonist (though Issei is not as likable as Arata), the main love interest of the protagonist is a red haired woman and both of the series are about supernatural stuff (magic for Trinity Seven and demons for High School DxD).
They both have ecchi in them.
They both have a perverted-like main character.
They both incorporate demons in their story.
Both main characters have the skill to shred off clothes.
Both the shows have similar settings with different twist of characters. Both are Harem, Shounen based shows, so you might like both of them. Peace! :D
Similarities:
- Both series are a part of the ecchi genre, although Trinity Seven is tamer
- Both series have a lot of great comedy
- Both series contain supernatural elements, which means there will be fights.
- Both of the locations are set in and around high schools.
- Both main characters have evolving superpowers.
*This recommendation is meant for Harem fans*
Both have pervy mains. They have a huge interest in straight up babes with perfect bodies wtf? Not the most perfect harems but are definitely goofy at times.
P.S I am not a harem fan and I watch it for the sake of my friends.
Both main male characters are surrounded by well endowed women..
both titles are mainly focus on harem. except that highschool dxd are demons while to love-ru are both aliens and humans
One main male characters surrounded by a lot of pretty girls. Though it seems that the main characters are having a dream-like life, troubles are keep popping out every days. Both series are harem-based with a lot of fan services to keep your eyes open.
Demons, boobs, Harem, cute girls, and more boobs.
Although, the male main character in DxD is more badass than the one in TLR.
More laughs in DxD.
TLR was funnier from the OVAS and on.
There are the same in Ecchi and Harem genre as well. But not just only fan service, there are have a side story about battle that might be interested to follow.
Basically all woman characters have a same way to sex appeal. But I think the man character (Yuuki Rito and Hyodou Issei) has a bit different way to respond those, although they seem enjoy it....
Both Anime are typical Harem-Ecchi-Comedy Shows with some Action content in the form of superpower.
In my opinion they are also handling the romance genre a bit better then other harem-comedy shows.
Also the ending from both shows are pretty similar.
If you liked To LOVE-Ru, you most likely will like High School DxD. Basically it's a more serious version of To LOVE-Ru. Definitely would recommend this.
TO LOVE-Ru and High School DxD are one of the two modern powerhouse harems. If you enjoyed one of these then I highly recommend you watch the other. Although they have different themes, (sci-fi and space for To LOVE-Ru) (supernatural and fantasy for High School DxD) you will live both of these as a harem lover.
Both series have a supernatural context where the ecchi scenes take place. HSDxD is about demons and To LOVE-Ru is about aliens. In HSDxD the plot is more elaborated, following the basic scheme of beginning, middle and end. By the other hand, To LOVE-Ru has stories that only unfold a chapter or two (sometimes more) but they are crazier and funnier (this last series plays with a lot with surrealism).
Both male protagonist is surrounded by a harem of girl .
high school dxd is demon and etc ,
To love ru is alien and etc .
Both also have ecchi and lot of fanservice
Give this a try if you like fanservice .
Both are ecchi series that revolve around a high schooler getting mixed up with people from other species and worlds. They are both also harem animes. If you liked one you'll definitely like the other.
If you like the ecchi genre of High School DXD, you were going to like that of Date A Live and To Love Ru.
The strength of these works is the complexity of writing that the characters receive from the author.
All the characters are endearing, with stories that reinforce the main plot while highlighting the complicity between all the characters, but above all the characters are never neglected by the author whether they are the protagonist or a secondary character.
The humor is not heavy but it is also not very subtle at times, clearly you're going to have a good time watching these works which are of a very good quality.
The romance in these ecchi are a little abandoned at some moments to deepen the universe that surrounds them, which I do not dislike but I prefer to warn.
The animation remains correct for anime that "date a little"
To tell you, I think it's the best ecchi that exist now. (Sorry Peter Grill)
These anime deserve a 7,5/10 or 8,5/10.  read more
One main male characters surrounded by a lot of pretty girls. Girls in both series are stronger than normal human being, fighting with magic and superpowers. Both series are harem-based with a lot of fan services to keep your eyes open.
Both have lot of ecchi and funny scenes. In both series main character by some weird circumstances is dragged in extraordinary fight. Both protagonists are surrounded by beautiful girls with supernatural powers.
sekirei and highschool dxd are very captivating action animes with lots of action and great story lines. Both are of the action, harem, comedy genres and if you don't mind the boobs in one you won't mind them in the other.
Though the story is not similar no demons but as for the story is a very enjoyable one
Differences
its has a good plot but with more ecchi scence then high school DxD.
the main character is not as worthy as the one in high school DxD to be loved by the girls
at least in high school DxD he tries
over really good show from most ecchi/harem shows worth the watch
do drop a message if you liked this recommendation :)
Similarities:
- Great ammount of fanservice;
- Both include fights (mostly between girls in Sekirei, though);
- The main character views himself as a weak person and doesn't want anyone to get hurt because of that (in both animes);
- Even though both anime have lots of ecchi momments, they are able to balance them with a decent plot;
- Supernatural powers.
Both series got the same concept of master/servant relationships, in which the typical average male main character gets dragged into a "new reality" and begins to be surrounded by beautiful girls. These series also involve supernatural fights and a lot of fanservice.
Same harem type, same strong bonds between characters. Its just that the main guy character of Sekirei is the sort of like not the one who is under control of someone, unlike HighSchoolDxD. Plus, romance feels floats around in both series. Both are worth the watch.
-Harem
-Both have a ridiculous amount of fanservice
-Male MC are weak (esp compared to the female characters)
-Game theme, (chess-HDxD, sekerei plan)
-fighting with magic/superpowers
Both of these have extreme amounts of "plot" that really earn the ecchi title, yet they aren't just boob-fests. They both have real story to back them up, and while you may be a little let down since Sekirei was cut short, you can take pleasure in knowing High-School DxD already has three full seasons and will be coming out with another soon.
Harem animes often tend to fall into the comedy category, and these two are certainly no exception to that rule. However while harems such as Love Hina are certainly charming in their own way, this genre of 'battle harems' is definitely where it's at. A plot carrying the story with lots of action, along lovable and occasionally relatable characters thrown in really makes it feel like more of a journey and less like you're watching a fanservice anime.
Both anime have a strong female lead, along with a male protagonist who has potential to be very powerful.
In both series the male lead is romantically interested in their master and stops at nothing to ensure the safety of said master.
Boy meets girl. Boy is killed by girl. Dead boy meets another girl. Girls revives dead boy. Fun! The guy in Zombie is now a... zombie, but the guy in DxD is a demon. Both shows are also very ecchi, but DxD more so.
Similarities:
Both muchachos (male lead) were revived by the lead chiquita (female lead).
Both mucahchos and the lead chiquita maintain a master and slave relationship.
Both muchachos have lost their humanity as a result of being resurrected by the lead chiquita.
Both have the same school, magic, harem, ecchi and comedy genre.
Both muchachos encounters their killer.
Disimilarites:
Kore Zom:
It has an extra vampire and supernatural genre.
The muchacho is literally treated like a dog in his own household.
The muchacho is immortal whose only weakness is to be expose to the sunlight.
The muchacho is a nice guy.
Highschool DxD:
The muchacho is treated well co'z of his special ability.
It has a extra romance and demon genre.
The muchacho is depends on the 2 chiquita who can heal him when wounded.
Intense ecchi.

Both protagonists were revived from the dead by one of the heroines. The protagonists are both perverts and have their own harem. The heroines are from another world. They both have great styles of art and music. They are both ecchi and a bit mature. However, HSDxD is more mature than KWZDK?.
Both have perverted main characters.
Both have harem and ecchi.
Both are pretty comical at times.
Highschool DxD has nudity in it and Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? doesn't really show much nudity.(So for those who don't like that kind of stuff I wouldn't recommend watching Highschool DxD, because there is quite a lot of it.)
Overall they're both really good anime and I'd think anyone would enjoy them both.
All the females are both powerful and beautiful
Both Ayumu/Issei died and is brought back by Eucliwood/Rias
Both have supernatural and comedy scenes
Both are Ecchi, but Highschool DxD is extremely Ecchi
Both Issei/Ayumu become a hero after they show their real strength
HIGHLY RECOMMEND WATCHING BOTH OF THEM :)
Both main protagonists have highly masochistic tendencies, and both use their newfound supernatural powers to fight the... bad guys? And to fool around. The fanservice is strong with these two.
While many things resemble each other, the more we realize each one is unique. Two series, High School DxD and Kore wa Zombie desu ka ?, share these things:
- Genres: Action, Comedy, Ecchi, Harem, Superpowers, Supernatural and Harem.
- Story: Both involve a boy who was resurrected after being killed, and become the servant of a cute girl, also becomes a supernatural being. In DxD (Demon) and in Kore wa ... (Zombie). These guys get involved with other girls with supernatural abilities, like him, discovering, thus, a magical power within him. They also have the power to increase their power as the action warrants it.
- These series explore the feelings that keep within themselves, those disappointments of themselves, reasons of their life, which hide behind a smile, and our protagonist does not escape from it. Sometimes the action, can be in the background, behind the fanservice or comedy, but all those are connected with the facts of the series. read more
Both revolve around a main character that was brought back from the dead to server a girl.
Each of them has plenty of supernatural themes to them.
Both are a rare bread of ecchi where you want to watch for the plot AND the "plot".
The set ups of both shows are near-identical. Male lead gets killed and is then revived by a benevolent magical girl who takes him as her servant. In both cases, they fall in love with the ones who revived them and swear revenge on the ones who killed them, and attract the feelings of several other girls. The male leads also have very similar personalities, the most obvious shared trait being that they're both perverts, though Ayumu is able to keep his hormones under control. Most of the time, anyway.
If you like one, you'll almost definitely like the other.
Both are extremily funny Eechi/Harem with a perverted but caring Main character that dies and is turned into something superhuman and become strong to protect his friends.
Both similar school setting, both have perverted main characters (though Tomoki just seems to have that extra edge of coolness even though he can't fight), both ultra sexy girls, good fights (with DxD focusing more on the fights) and both great fun to watch,
They're also like reverses of each with Otoshimono focusing on angels (or what ever they are) and Dxd focusing on devils.
Perverts vs Corrupted Angels
Both anime are about celestial beings, perverted scenes and jokes, busty girls with wings who like the main character, and a protagonist who wants to save everyone while trying to peek at girls
Both series are of the harem genre in which the main protagonist is surrounded by various girls of conflicting personalities. Supernatural, action, ecchi are involved as the story progresses and emotional lines are drawn. Both main guy also are perverted and their minds are filled with thoughts of the opposite sex.
The series is know to have a significant amount of fan service throughout the show with an almost all female cast, and single male character. The main male character is depicted as a good and fun person, with a good sense of caring to his friends. Though they mostly have "fun" playing with the girls through random times and sometimes gets punished in the end. However, what awaits them is a threat, and that they use desperate measures to eliminate them.
Highschool DXD, focus on demons who uses supernatural powers, and focus on the club activities. Otoshimono focuses on angels who fall down the sky and they are the boy's servants.

If your looking for high quality Ecchi and Heram anime with lots of laughs along the way then High School DxD and Heavens Lost property are for you! Both have badass fight scenes (DxD more so), hilarious perverted MCs, and of course Tig ol' Bitties. Because i mean thats really what we are here for, plenty of fan service! Their is a romance aspect to both, again DxD more so then Heavens Lost Property, which makes the viewer root for certain girls along the way. Also, worth noting is the abundance of episodes, 3 seasons for DxD and 2 seasons for Heavens Lost Proberty. Enjoy!
- Both MC's are perverts looking to basically make a harem
- Sora no Otoshimono is a lot more laid back with more comedy base
- DxD revolves around demons while Otoshimono is about angeloids
- Both are extremely ecchi
- If you want a nice, calmer show similar to DxD, this is it!
One main male characters surrounded by a lot of pretty girls. The girls in both series could use magic. Both series are harem-based with a lot of fan services to keep your eyes open.
-Both based on a light novel
-Harem genre but still with a very good plot
-Strong male and female lead
-Similar magic
-Ecchi
-Similar art styles
-Both very good series
Both series are considered harem with the main protagonists involved with various girls after a destiny encounter.
Both series contain ecchi, fan-service, drama, comedy, romance, and magic/supernatural themes.
Both series' main female protagonist are also quite fond of the main protagonist after their initial meeting.
Ecchi Magic Harem shows that contain tonnes of comedy, sexiness, and fight scenes. Both male leads have harems in which the girls work together with the MC to defeat enemies.
Both Main Characters are innocent ppl and get sucked in to a new way of life, is what you could call it
Main Characters get new Powers and grow from the standard weak to stronger except Highschool DxD's character is more "pathetic"
Both Animes get surrounded by girls
Spoiler Alert!: Both Main Characters become HEROs (is my way of putting it)
Campione fights against gods, highschool dxd fights against vampires and such. What is there not to love about both of them? highschool has alot more lewdness but still great all around. Camptione! has a crap ton of action with alot of cool babes!
- Similar type of heroine. Elegant one and love the protagonist (both mind and body). Grimoire Rias with red hair and from Europe, Blandelli Erica with blonde hair from Italy. not to mention the Seiyuu was the same person.
- Highschool DxD and Campione have similar plot. protagonist with power the didn't know they had, fantasy where heroine is something supernatural (Devil and Godslayer)
- Lastly, same genre of Ecchi Comedy Romance, and of course, Harem with 4 girls.
There is Strong Use of Supernatural Powers and Magic in both series. The Male protagonists in both series have somewhat similar personalities for protecting their friends and loved ones, even if that risked their own life whether it is Issei in High School DxD or Godou in Campione. The female protagonists also have same feelings of love for Male characters, whether it is Rias in High School DxD or Erica in Campione. If Harem is considered, both of them has very good Harem and as long as Action is considered, both are amazing and nerve-racking. Many scenes also has tension among characters. So if you like one then you may like the other one too. That's it guys. read more
If you like Seikon no Qwaser, you probably like High School DxD. Both have high-level of ecchiness, loads of action, decent characters and a good plot (though Qwaser has ridiculous breastfeeding plot).
Same echhi kind of stuff . Has a bit of ''story'' and well both MC seems to need do/think perverted things to power-up. One of the major difference are probably that the comedy are different ( also at High School DxD there are comedy in it)
While both carry the traits of a more typical shounen anime, there is also a heavy emphasis on more extreme levels of ecchi content. Regardless of their lack of any particularly extensive narrative depth, both are very enjoyable action series with great characters and decent fight scenes.
I would really recommend Highschool DxD, if you liked Seikon No Qwaser, then i'm sure you'll enjoy more this one, even though it's not as ecchi as this one, it includes good enough amount, as also includes some good comedy as well, as good fighting scenes. Plus the animation is good as also, who doesn't like Rias Gremory.
Similarities:
- Intense Ecchi in both Anime
- Main Male Character has abnormal powers
- Both Ecchi, Harem, School, Drama & Action Genre'd Anime
- Makes you want to watch more
Lots of ecchi and uncensored nudity, action/supernatural elements and hilariously stupid (albeit interesting) plots are present in both anime. If your looking for comedy and fan service both will be sure to meet your needs.
They are similar because:
- They got them all. Oppai, boobs, chest, mune, TT's, nips and oppai!
- Action! Fighting scenes, and most of the times, they are including oppai!
- Supernatural element to make it more awesome, and oppai!
- A male protagonist surrounded by girls with oppai!
- Decent characters, good story, although Seikon no Qwaser is more extreme, when it comes to ecchi and oppai.
- the ecchiness and oppainess.
- Did i mention oppai?
High School DxD has to unite a number of breasts, while Seikon no Qwaser abuses them by sucking them.
Both are also accompained by shounen action and a large number of female characters.
Let's make this simple.. If you enjoyed Highschool DxD you'll surely like these aswell -
Ikkitousen / Season 1-4
Testament of Sister / Season 1-2
Seikon no Qwaser / Season 1-2
I would prefer the 3 above first but here are 4 more incase you've already watched those -
Sekirei / Season 1-2
Demon King Daimao / Season 1
HM - Rosario X Vampire / Heaven's Lost Property
YOU'RE WELCOME
Same type harem deal. Both anime's deal with fan service and ecchi moments with silly over the top situations. Both of this watched side by side would greatly complement one another if you're looking for another series like this. ♥ヾ(>ワ<)ノ♪
Demons, and fan-service, are the central themes on both of these series where it features characters, with supernatural abilities. Though, the characters in here are friendly, and mostly funny when the main male character interact with the female characters in a comical way. Expect some romance, magic attacks, and fan-service throughout the series.
High school DXD follows a perverted high school boy, who became a demon and help his friends reach their goal. Demon King Daimao follows a handsome high school boy who became shock about being the next demon lord, with his life became complicated.
High school dxd have a number of things incommon
.overdose of ecchi
.great fights
.memorable character s
.both are ecchi with a good story line- - the plots may not be similar but are interesting
.both maim character z are demon z
.both use magic
both the series are not to serious and allow for lots for comedy..and fanservice
Both have the MC with a 'hidden power' which they are unaware of at the beginning and then eventually leading to them being progressively more powerful as the episodes unfold. Obviously, both follow an ecchi/fanservice theme so if you enjoyed HS DXD this is similar but different!
Both have demons, a main protagonist who discovers they have immerse powerse and a bunch of girls. Also fanservice (alot more in DxD, but a nice bit in Ichiban) and tons of comedy.
I mean, obviously you can tell the similarities: Harem, forced plot, dislikable main heroines, fanbases that will get triggered after reading this, etc.
If you like the ecchi genre of High School DXD, you were going to like that of Date A Live and To Love Ru.
The strength of these works is the complexity of writing that the characters receive from the author.

Its like a non ecchi version of High School DXD, that i found very much interesting .
People who loved high school dxd or who wanted a non ecchi type of it , I would recommend "Date A Live".
One main male characters surrounded by a lot of pretty girls. Main male characters are supposed to be normal human beings at the beginning of the story, but gain special powers as the story progresses. Both series are harem-based with a lot of fan services to keep your eyes open.
- both have human-looking monsters/demons
- both have harems of girls trying to win our male protagonist
- both take place in high schools
- both have battle scenes (though highschool dxd's are better)
Main character finds himself in a school setting surrounded by sexy non-human ladies with whom are now competing to retain the MC's affection. In my opinion DxD executes the whole thing way better in terms of characters, comedy, ecchi goodness, and action so if you liked Rosario and have yet to try DxD then I seriously don't know what's holding ya back.
I'll say this outright, I thoroughly enjoyed DxD. It had both a great plot and *plot*. Outstanding show 9.5/10. Now lets talk about Rosario + Vampire. It has a similar premise, but different. Our guy goes to a school as the only human amongst various supernatural beings; demons, vampires & werewolves to name a few. In my opinion, it has amazing *plot*. 10/10 in that department. It's actually story and progression (it has one) is not spectacular but enough to keep you interested. Would recommend.
Sexy, cute girls who are violent and funny.
The protagonist is a nice guy who is initially weak, but then builds up his power to achieve his goal of earning his dream girl's virginity.
There is a lot of "accidental" undressing of the girls, much to the protagonist's delight.
The protagonist is a lot more perverted than the guy from Freezing, which makes it refreshing in a way.
If you love an Harem, look no further because you have found it. Both series have females that constantly go after the main lead guy. But that isn't a bad thing either. The women have big knockers which is an plus. The story is very interesting. There are some dark themes behind the characters past as well. Fighting in this anime is impressive. I gave both anime an 10.
Ever since i saw Highschool DxD, I tried to find a similar manga with an anime adaption that as ecchi, harem, shonen and exciting. I tried many mangas such as Kiss x sis or HOTD but none of them met my expectations. Through mangareader.net i came across this manga called "Freezing", once i finished reading the manga chapter (it was a random one) i instantly went to watch it... This manga is the closest i could find, it has the same amount of exposed "body parts"! But unlike DxD, Freezing started with the same amount of shonen as in the latest episodes of DxD new (greatly increased). i prefer more ecchi and comedy time than shonen (for shonen i prefer Naruto, OP ect.) for this genre. But i really respect Freezing because it never changed the proportions of the many elements inside the manga. If you look for a manga, anime that looks just like DxD but with a completely different plot, this is the thing for you. Which one is better?: DxD > Freezing, not because Freezing is bad (its not bad at all) but because DxD is amazing. Both are worth watching for harem fans.  read more
Both shows have lots of ecchi nude scenes. Both also have very similar plot elements. Only real difference is the dxd is a harem and the protagonist is a pervert while the one in freezing is not.
Harem panty fighter shows with similar relationships in romance and battles.
DxD is more popular because of it's very perverted nature. Women also fight and get their clothes broken while battling.
But Freezing tells a more mature story, and the clothes aren't the only thing the girls get ripped off.
They are action ecchi anime where the fights often include the girls' clothes being torn off. They involve school aged characters and have a school boy as the main character.
-Both anime involve monster/demon girls
-Both anime show lots of boobies (OPPAI!)
-Both main male characters don't know which girl they want to stay with
In both anime, main male characters are seduced by monster/demon girls, in a very similar way (OPPAI!). In High School DxD saga we watch Issei Hyoudou's POV while in Monser Musume, Kimihito's role (main male character) seems to be secondary, although we know it is his POV. Maybe later we can see his very own personality...
No one saw this one coming. No wait, a couple of you did. These two are similar as they:
-are both at extreme high levels of Ecchi
-both have similar genres (Ecchi, harem, romance)
-I find both have similar plots...
-Both animations are spot on.
Like I said, if you liked one of them, you will definitely like the other
If you're a fan of echii, harems, fanservice, strange plots and surprisingly decent characters and combat sequences, then you will probably like High School DxD and its sequel series. The story knows when to take itself seriously and when to throw it all out of the window for some comedy and oppai. Fights get your blood pumping and the story isn't actually too bad if you stick with it and don't take the nudity too seriously.
The shows are both the same in many aspects. They are both full of fan service but monster musume does have less. They are both the same style harem anime where loads of girls wan to date the one guy each with varying personalities. I personally prefer musume as the characters have more variation in thier personalities. Overall, if yor a fan of Dxd give monster musume a go!
One main male characters surrounded by a lot of pretty girls. Main heroines in both series are not human, demon for High School DxD, youkai for Omamori Himari. Both series are harem-based with a lot of fan services to keep your eyes open.
Well, if you like ecchi, fan-service, supernatural, fighting, boobs, and all the rest of that stuff, then considering watching both of these series. It has a storyline and the main guy has a lot of girls chasing after him as result of his kindness, courage, and strength.
The main characters in these Anime are very "Weak". They are surrounded by big chested females and get involved in naughty lewd situations. These are both ecchi/harem, action, supernatural and if you are into that, then I would suggest to watch these Anime series.
Many of the characters in these series are similar
Both are harem/ecchi
Both protagonists have hidden powers that make them potentially OP
Very strong supernatural elements in both shows
DxD is far more ecchi, and has nipples, lots of nipples
DxD's protag gets more of a chance to show off his powers
DxD runs more seasons, and is a bit more fleshed out in general
I got a very strong DxD feeling while watching Himari, especially in the early episodes. The ecchi in Himari is rather poor compared to other harem ecchi, especially one like DxD (practically hentai at times), but it's still enough to satisfy any ecchi cravings.
both Main(female) characters are very beautiful
both Main(male) characters are very perverted (always thinks about tits/boobs)
both Main(male) characters are Servants/Slaves of the female main character
both Anime has a Master & Slave relationship
and most of all . . .
both Main(male) characters are surrounded by many BEAUTIFUL GIRLS!!!
Bit of a laugh, no real plot line but good fun and whilst no nudity, the comedy aspect of it including the awkward moments make this a good anime for any ecchi fan
if you enjoyed HDxD for the "you are now my slave" then you will love ZnT.
the story of ZnT varies alot from HDxD but concepts are there, ZnT has a mage who sucks terribly at magic, so she is called a zero. truth is shes got a secret. one day she has to summon a "familiar" or a slave to be short. the slave ends up being a human and everyone laughs, but in the end he and ... let's not spoil it xD
anyway, lots of similarities also:
ecchi, often in both.
harem, Main male character seduces girls without trying,
slight comedy in both,
loyalty to the "master" (secret love tbh)
the animation is better in HDxD but what do you expect? a miracle? :3
i would roughly give ZnT a 8 and HDxD a 10 because i am a fan of it xD.
thanks for reading! -Alex read more
The male protagonist is pretty much the same, lewd and lecherous, servant of the female protagonist. The harem is also pretty much the same, although the ecchi is much better on HDXD (hence the R+ rating). Also the plot can feel pretty similar, especially on certain points.
Both series have a main character who has some kind of special ability to undress women; which leads to many ecchi situations.
The series have ecchi and uncensored boobs in common, but also have a lot of dissimilarities (for example: in Hagure Yuusha the MC is very badass, while in Highschool DxD the MC starts as a perverted loser). But if you enjoy watching ecchi and boobs you'll most likely enjoy watching both.
Both are ecchi action anime series with a perverted main character who have tons of girls in love with him. Both main characters are also total badasses.
There are at times, situations arises when the main characters were threatened by someone. But when the mission is complete, or sometimes get distracted, the main characters liked to troll around the female cast in either grabbing unpleasant spots, or taking their clothes off for their own methods. If you like a story with ecchi and supernatural action elements, then these shows will make your time enjoyable.
There is not much of a difference since both are know to have a significant amount of fan service, and ecchi. Well the only thing that is different is the main character where in DXD, he is not that overpowered with a childish personality, while Rogue Hero he is overpowered and with a mature look. read more
Hagure Yuusha no Estetica shares many similarities with High School DxD, such as the same ecchi/harem/highschool genres. They both are rom/coms based in a world of supernatural occurrences. Both main males leads are perverts but are good natured, and protect those around them.
Both of these series have a strength game involved - rating games
But where they differ is that Akatsuki is very OP from the start compared to the weaker Issei.
Both very enjoyable series, with Hagure Yuusha no Estetica being an interesting take on the whole hero image in anime and stories in general and Highschool DxD a strong series for its genre.
They both have to do with supernatural powers and of course WOMEN! Lets face it the reason DxD is so great is because of the comedy that the Harems bring and it is no different for Strike the Blood. Both have really cool fight scenes, babes, and comedy
Strike the Blood and High School DxD are both anime which are listed as ecchi, but are packed with action in an attempt to create a plot. High School DxD focuses more on the ecchi side, but still has a decent plot. Strike the Blood is more focused on the plot, and less on the ecchi side of things. The main protagonist in each of the series are turned into supernatural beings, tearing apart their normal life. They then go through development as their respective beings. Both of the series have harem elements, but it has a greater presence in High School DxD. I found the two series to be enjoyable, but Highschool DxD is not for you if you do not prefer ecchi anime. read more
Well they are practically the same in terms of theme and tropes. Ecchi,, High School Settings, and the MC has a massive Harem, and action based. However, unlike Strike the Blood, High School DxD has a much better world building, better characters in general, actually good plot, and the fan service is borderline Hentai. However I do think the actions in Strike the Blood are slightly better. If you enjoyed Strike the Blood I highly recommend watching out High School DxD. But I can't say so for the other way round. If you really liked High School DxD I can't say you will enjoy Strike the Blood for sure. read more
A harem with ecchi scenes fanservice is also limited and censored in same way as in high school.Though the harem here seems more one sided.Has its own share of cliches but are interesting enough to keep you going.
While Highschool DxD is mostly more lighthearted and less openly violent than Akame ga Kill they both focus around groups of characters with special weaponry. Highschool DxD calls them sacred gears. Akame ga Kill calls them teigus or imperial arms.
Oh but word or warning, Highschool Dxd is far more fond of its characters than Akame ga Kill.
These anime, although one is about demons and ones about assassins, are a little similar in my opinion because they both contain a but of fanservice but DxD sure has more and both of them have groups fighting one another, the battles just seem similar to me, and the main characters surrounded by a lot of females
Both of these shows are followed by a group of friends assassinating people, so if you liked DxD, you'd like Akame Ga kill. Lot's of suspense on this anime, it will keep you on the edge of your seat at times!
The drawings, the powers and all the story is identical in both of them, I have to say that Akame Ga Kill! story is a bit deeper and better constructed.
High School DxD have hentai, Akame Ga Kill! does not (just a bit).
Both have a super strange and gifted main character
Both generates a lot of hype with the power ups
High School DxD has a funny, horny, and very complex story about magic like Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat and both stories have amazing harems with cute girls.
* Both have seriously hilarious Perverted MC's [ Youto & Issei ]
* Both Male MC's does & says dumb things....[which makes you laugh hard]
* Both has kinda polygamic relationships in these series...
* Both series has so called !PLOT!...
* Nice OP's which will add nice mood...
The biggest difference between this series that Highschool DxD relies on fanservice...while HOtWN only in Supernatural things...[no freakin fanservice????? Agony ]
Both main characters are considered to be a part of harem. They also might be considered to be perverted, but the supporting characters carry the show into some unexpected comedic situations.
Although different by genres (horror/ecchi), both are about a loser guy who finally gets a date only to find out he was betrayed and his chosen one was actually supernatural being (ghoul/demon) and is trying to kill him. He gets saved only to became one of her kind. Thanks to becoming ghoul/demon he meets another girl(s).
Well - Tokyo Ghoul is a completely different genre (not an ecchi!) however, hear me out:
Similarities: They both start with gore. The protagonist is a normal kid, he's hopeless with girls, he gets a date with a girl who's out of his league (as his friend says), (won't include the spoilers) but, things happen on that date that change the protagonist's life.
Dissimilarities: The difference in genre - Tokyo Ghoul is more intense and does not have fan service like DxD. The music style is more atmospheric in Tokyo Ghoul and supports the chilling feel, whilst DxD maintains a light-hearted tone. Tokyo Ghoul censors quite a few of the gore excessive scenes and contains a darker atmosphere.

The heroes of these series are eminently similar in their development of becoming preeminent. Issei and Kaneki are both average on the go individuals who possess normal lives until they inadvertently get themselves into a situation that would change their viewpoint on their worlds forever. They succeed to thrive in their unfamiliar worlds by striving to not only learning from their saviors but to protect the ones they hold dear to them.
Not only is Tokyo Ghoul and DxD both a dark fantasy anime, but the general story plot is really similar. There's a bit of romance and a bit of fantasy fighting and the characters are really similar in both animes.
These series are basically twins, just one deals with demons and stuff while the other is a mecha parody. Produced by the same studio, Daimidaler and DxD share the same artstyle, the same kind and amount of ecchi, even the main female MC is voiced by the same actress in both series. Both are fun to watch and provide lots of fanservice. Although Daimidaler isn't very popular, it's really worth checking out if you like the genres.
Imagine Highschool DXD turned into a Mecha series. Same character designs and action!! Main character gets his powers from oppai and other perverted things. Kouchi=Issei and Kyouko=Rias. Coincidentally Rias and Kyouko have the same voice actress too.
kenzen robo daimidaler is like DxD but with robots, I prefer kenzen robo daimilander, but they are similar in many things besides being from the studio TNK.
ah and daimilander is parody.
Similarites:
Both were set in an all girls school turned coed.
Both muchachos (male lead) have lecherous tendencies as well as being losers.
Both involves usage of magic and superpowers.
Both chiquitas (main female lead) are a year older than the muchchos.
Both have the same amount of intense ecchi.
Both also has the same harem genre.
And, both muchachos (male lead) have special abilities.
Dissimilaiities:
The lead chiquita in Maken-ki is the muchacho's childhood friend, while in Highschool DxD there is no childhood friend to link the muchacho with.
In Highschool DxD the lead chiquita has no problems being naked in front of the muchacho because they maintain a master and slave relationship, while the muchacho in Maken-ki is sure to get a beating if he ever sees the lead chiquita naked.
The chiquita in Highschool DxD is a club president of the Occult Club and came from a long line of demons, while in maken-ki the lead chiquita is a student council Vice President as well a drom supervisor.
On has extra genre of action and martial arts, while the other has demon and supernatural as its extra genre.  read more
Both main characters are not shy of their perverted nature, and both series include some kind of ability that turns a simple Harem into a battle series of sorts, throw in the nudity and fan service shots, and both series are almost identical, apart from the storyline itself.
lots of fanservice and pretty girls fightning each other, although maken-ki is not a good anime that is actually worth watching, unless you're searching for an anime with lots of pantyshots and oppai
very similar, that is there's fighting between, for highschool their own kind, for princess their family
the main character died and got revived by his master.
the master really cared for the the main protagonist
and there's demon/vampires
both about the main guy dieing and then being bought back by a powerful vampire to serve and protect her from other supernatural beings.
both are also very funny.
Both series features a protagonist with his life being completely changed after a certain event in the series.
Both anime features several different women with different motives but all seems to have affections for the main protagonist, at various levels.
Both series contains comedy, drama, action, as well as some romance.
Unlikely hero boy meets paranormal princess and becomes her eternal servant and they secretly have feelings for each other. Princess Resurrection is a lot more PG but the servant process is more interesting in PR and makes a good plot concept.
Both are typical highschool shounen shows with supernatural (aka devil/demon) elements, with the main difference being that Ao no Exorcist doesn't have the enormous amount of fan service.
In both shows the loser/outcast/main protagonist gets involved with these supernatural elements and has to fight and train with all his might to win the inevitable battle at the end to safe the ones he loves.
Typical, but very enjoyable.
Both shows have a strong base in the battle taking place between heaven and hell. They each have good action and a simple yet enjoyable story. Don't go in expecting anything to deep, but it will be a fun watch nonetheless.
Both are about a boy who one day finds out about how his world has its secrets and by secrets they find out that demons are real and they're have to fight and kill the rouge ones.In Ao no Exorcist, the MC chooses to fight them because he feels he needs to prove that his bad bloodline doesn't make him a bad person while in Highschool DxD the MC is revived by a demon and has no choice in the matter so he has to learn to fight in order to survive.Ao No Exorcist is more of a Shounen while Highschool DxD is a Ecchi/romance/action
If you can appreciate the whole clueless main dude with some anger issues, these are probably some you'll enjoy. That is, if you can enjoy themes surrounding the devil and demons.
No mecha in DxD, but sexy, cute girls who are violent and funny, just as in IS.
There are magical powers, swordplay, and demons/angels/etc, and the story is set in a school in DxD.
IS has mecha, swordplay, and is set in a school as well.
In Highschool DxD, the protagonist is a nice guy who is initially weak, but then builds up his power to achieve his goal of earning his dream girl's virginity.
There is a lot of "accidental" undressing of the girls, much to the protagonist's delight.
The protagonist from DxD is a lot more perverted than the guy from IS, which makes it refreshing in a way.

Both feature the main character surrounded by a plethora of love interests.
Both series feature plenty of "plot" and eyecandy - the uncensored versions are a treat if this is your thing.
Nevertheless, the ecchi-comedy is the highlight & well-done in both series. High School DxD features a lot more fighting, whist To Love-Ru focuses more on high-school interactions.
Whilst you could argue that Madan no Ou to Vanadis shares themes with many other harem shows, what it has in common with High School DxD is that they both feature a dominating female lead who has no qualms in making the main character their prisoner/servant.
This show has a similar vibe to that of High School DxD as there is one main guy who fights alongside a bunch of powerful women with romantic and harem intents behind the show. Madan focuses more on the action whereas DxD gives more fan service and humor.
Though different in setting the two animes share a similar theme. Both are about two boys who have amazing powers and a personal harem. The two stories both involve magic and two very open main female antagonists. Both animes also feature mystical creatures like dragons. If you enjoy a practical romcom with some action, and fantasy thrown in I highly recommend both these animes.
Similarities:
Both muchachos (male lead) were miraculously revived by the chiquita (female lead).
Both muchachos (male lead) sudden found themselves being part of some organization.
Both has the same school, ecchi and supernatural genre.
Dissimilarities:
The mucahcho in Itsuka Tenma No Kuro Usagi still maintains part of his humanity, while in Highschool DxD, the muchacho is now a demon himself.
Fanservice in Highschool DxD is more intense than Itsuka Tenma No Kuro Usagi.
The chiquita in Itsuka Tenma No Kuro Usagi is just a lowly vampire, while in Highschool DxD the main chiquita is the head demon herself.
Beautiful girl uses supernatural powers to revive boy and makes him stronger than normal. Both girls are from the dark side, Rias is a devil, Himea is a vampire. Both boys gain supernatural powers through help of girl.
Story looks pretty much the same for me . A girl , one is demon and other one is vampire , reviving a boy and makes him servant .
Differences are Characters : Both males are kinda indecisive and killing the romance atmosphere in the anime . One is pervert ( Highschoole DxD ) other one is kinda shy and can't really approach and confront her ( Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi ) so both of the main males are annoying and make me mad . Really mad .
Seriously . Are there good Action / Romance out there besides SnS 3 ? No triangles and no retarded males ? If you are looking for that too , you can't really find it here , but both worth a watch ( Barely .. :( ) And if you find better than these with that tags , message me that too please haha . read more
About a boy who wants to be the king of something. High School DxD is more ecchi, but One Piece has ecchi elements too. Both have a lot of story arcs and adventures with the main crew of characters.
There is a massive similarity between these 2 shows. Many would say WHATTTTT HOW IS THERE ANY SIMILARITY? I mean, apart from the obvious which is that they are both anime (duh) you have one HUGH common point. BOOBIES
They're both action, school with some romance. There are some magic in both, though,in Highschool DxD more. If you liked Highschool DxD I think you will like Hidan no Aria, too !
In short,in both animes is a highschool boy that one day met a girl and his all life changed because of her.
Cute girls! 'Nuff said.
There's a similar romance to it, as well as girls with special powers.
The protagonist is surrounded by beautiful girls, and there's good humor.
However, one should note that there's much more nudity in Highschool DxD so if that's what you prefer, go for it! - if not, well... too bad.
- op main character
- ecchi demon harem with similar character designs
- reversal of roles (demons are the protagonists & help humans to some extend)
- similar story points & pacing
tbh they are just overall similar - if u like one of them, u'll likely enjoy the other one, although Sin is less story-heavy due to it having only one season
Both shows have mix of comedy, drama and fan service. It also has new twists that keep the entertainment value going, even if it deals with different settings and subjects.
This show is similar to “High School DxD” and its various sequels in that they are all a mix of comedy and fantasy genres and involve women who are of non-human species regularly getting naked and promiscuous with the male lead(s).
As these shows are all adult rated, you will have the couples undressing and having various degrees of sexual relations. Since both of them have censored and uncensored versions, you could see anything from strategically placed logos to actual nudity, depending on which version you are watching.
In both series, the male leads are confident and comfortable with being around women and with the talk of and various acts surrounding sex, unlike the typical trope with harem protagonists where they are constantly flustered by the advances of aggressive women. read more
Both are freewheeling wild rides in a world where supernatural events are quite common. Both series have male lead characters are kind of nitwits, but the female leads are not only strong but are very funny.
If you like episodes 9 and 11 of KonoSuba, you'll probably like High School DxD. They both have perverted male MCs surrounded by weird girls, although DxD is much more graphic and ecchi all of the time, while KonoSuba only sort of gets that way in ep 9.
in my opinion, both anime have a relaxed story, we are always treated to by many fan services, i mean alot of fan servis.
especially if you love ecchi and harem you should definitely watch it.
Boy gets mixed in magical/supernatural fights, obtaining a harem on the way. Both series try to mix fanservice and drama, though High School DxD has much more fanservice.
High School DxD and Nanatsu no Taizai/The Seven Deadly Sins are an exciting watch for their main characters, Issei (DxD) and Meliodas (Nanatsu/Deadly Sins)! They're both perverted men who have...demonic powers!? Their cheerful personalities, plus protecting the ones that surround them make for action series with a mix of emotions and tons of mythology. Gremory's peers or Meliodas' sins?
Both have ecchi and similiarities when talk about dragons... And in the both, the world, the society fought in wars... They have a good comedy too and harém... Are nice to enjoy and have fun.
If you really liked humour in Highschool DxD you should watch No Game No Life as it's really funny too and has a lot of ecchi scenes. In Highschool DxD there is a cat girl and in No Game No Life there is a fox girl 10/10.
Both anime have (relatively) same story plot, with main character has the first aim to conquer the boss with help on others....
Both anime also have interesting fan-services if you want to enjoyed it, although rating between them is different (HSDxD is "more dangerous" anime based on rating than this anime)
So I you like this watch high school dxd it has the same idea of guy gets forced into situation and he makes the best of it but its for more of those people who like superpowers or special abilities and it also has nice big breasted characters and trust me the plot doesn't falter at the end and I mean by that as in the climax isn't as lame as PL
Hope this helps
Ecchi, magic, comedy, harem, and comedy exist in both of these series. And of course being a harem, both of these series has one of those lucky guys who just seems to get the attention of almost all the ladies.
Almost totally similar anime. A little bit pervert schoolboy resurrected by a demon have deal with cute girls of his new 'profession'. Failed first date with his murderer. Saving princess from her dark prince. Magical undressing and lot of ecchi.
A young boy unpopular at school gets chosen by an incredibly sexy girl attracted to him into joining her specific clan and proving his skills as part of her party as they grow stronger and stronger and recruit more members fighting against other clans and dickish villains. The difference is that in Accel World everything is about a video game, whereas Highschool DxD is about a world of Devils, Angels and Fallen Angels. There's also lighter T&A in Accel World than DxD but it still exists
They are both about a supernatural group. In Panty and Stocking case, they kill ghosts and in DxD they kill fallen angels. They is comedy, ecchi and really likable characters.
So if you like hot angels/demons, softcore porn, strong language and all that kind of stuff, then you should watch Panty & Stocking too.
They don't have that much in common when it comes to the storyline, but they do have the whole fallen angels and demons thing going on, and also the fact that they are using magical weapons and abilities.
The feeling you get from watching HSDxD and Panty & Stocking are pretty much the same exept that Panty & Stocking has more of a comedy wibe, when HSDxD is a bit more " serious" show.
there both about the main character being a servant/underling to a powerful vampire and are both set around a high school.
dance in the vampire bund is a darker and more serious anime while the other one is a comedy.
If you like an anime with a similar angel-demon themed plot, then i recommend this show for you minus the ecchi. Also, both red-hair heroines are voiced by Yoko Hikasa.
Schoolboys who doesn't really stand out ends up wraped up in an allience with supernatural, sexy, non-irratic girls who don't mind throwing themselves on this 'shy guy'.
Both females have a problematic, current storyline the guy is now involved in.
Well at first glance, there's definitely something you don't see everyday.
Both of these series are related to the supernatural side of the world. In addition, our main heroine are similar in terms of appearance and also somewhat of the personality.
Then of course, there's the ecchi, comedy, drama, emotions, and even romance.
Although taking place in different settings, both series involves a main male protagonist meeting a female protagonist in the pilot episode where their lives change forever.
There is romantic and dramatic tension between the duo that also involves some other supporting characters.
Both series also has fantasy themes as well as some action, drama, and humorous dialogues.
The main male protagonist have similar personalities while the main female protagonist treats the guy with kindness and compassion.
They are similar in quite a few things.
Both includes Devils, that made a contract with some guy.
The main girls also both have red hair and are hot.
There are some dissimilarities though, cause DXD is jsut full of Ecchi and Boobs.
Both are great anime
There is complication with many girls liking the main character.
The main character really cares about each and every one of them.
Is more or less oblivious to what each girl thinks.
Takes place in a school with outspoken characters.
Main character's closest guy-friend is super popular with the girls.
Issei is 100% the child of Carrot Glace. I have never seen 2 characters who match up so perfectly. Both series protagonists are major pervs, with big hearts, little magical power, and dragon-type beings within them. If you enjoyed High School DxD, then you should give Sorcerer Hunters a shot.
All the girls are in love with the main character, for being very nice and caring, despite an unlikeable attitude.
Main characters both have crazy pervy friends
There are many things about Highschool DxD and Terra Formars. In DxD, the main characters are trying to kill all the fallen angels. In Terra Formars, the main characters are trying to kill all the Terra Formars.
There are many battle scenes and bloody parts.
Powerful spirit from the past (Ddraig in DXD and Oda Nobunaga in Nobunagun) Awakens after an accident, Both animes have a epic fight scenes and a diverse cast of characters. besides the fact the that the protagonist of nobunagun is a female, and that nobunagun is more strategy oriented combat. both animes will appeal to fans of either one of them
If you liked the level of fanservice and action in one, you are likely to enjoy the other as well. High School DxD and Strike Witches contain similar amounts of these elements.
Highschool DxD is like a repeat of C3's very first episode, generic harem fanservice bullshit, but with bigger tits. Will this stay that way or will it suddenly become awesome like C3 did? The former is more likely.
Both Animes have well executed ecchi scenes and are quite well stuck to the primary story aside from that too. This makes the Animes interesting is they spark curiosity which makes one want to watch it through and through
If you like the harem and a bit of humor, Nyaruko-San is for you. The show is packed full of references to other animes while forming a decent romance arc. This is done without taking itself to seriously compared with shows such as High School DxD.
MCs are former humans who wants and easy and lovely life, and also simps (Denji wants some booba, Issei dreams to be the Harem king). Both were reborn as a demon and have new powers.
booba. everyone looks like a snacc in both anime. stunning visual effects oh yes. both of them are set in school and everyone has something cool about them (especially rias from high school dxd lmao)
-Both male and female protagonists are in love with each other but the male has no idea
-It's a Harem of course its similar
-Contains less Ecchi scenes so it's "safer" :)
-Asu no Yoichi! doesn't really contain the magic domain that High School DxD contains
-Both starts with an MC that is a loner/loser and becomes very popular (zero to hero term i guess if you put it that way)
- Both protagonists, one of older age and one of younger age, like a senior and a junior in this case.
- Lots of boobs, like LOTS OF OPPAI if you know what I mean.
- Somehow related to school, but with demons.
- Has both English Sub and Dub
Similarities:
Both start off as cheeky guy having special ability , suddenly finds himself facing the supernatural.
Both , also have that same situation with cheeky guy got drafted into the club that deals with them so called supernatural forces...
Dissimilarities:
JK:
Mostly on action and horror
HsDxD
Mostly on Comedy and ecchi.
Dokyuu Hentai basically seems to be a parody of the concept DxD is already playing for comedy, so if you liked DxD, Dokyuu Hentai is exactly what you're looking for.
Starts off with the main character being a normal person but after the first episode he's involved into dangerous fights against monsters and villains. The MC becomes crazy powerful and he's surrounded by hot girls that are ready to help him with his adventures. Redo of Healer has of course a more violent/darker tone and it's way more borderline Hentai then DxD, but the concept for these two is extremely similar
will the character get stronger with time??
but first, both are ecchi caution!!!
absoultly, high school dxd is a school with demonic girls. both at high school in high school dxd it is a normal school with demons. and it has more action and beautiful scene with sound and visual of fighting but on the other side only I can enter the dungeon has magical school.it is comedy light anime with fighting.
it has ecchi but not too much soft comedy action harem story.
-Main characters look the same
-High school student is killed one night and wakes up thinking it was a dream
-Finds out it wasn't a dream
-Was explained what happened to him by the girl who revived him
-Fights alongside girl who revived him to fight supernatural beings
Only difference is that High School DxD has a LOT of ecchi
High School DxD presents the same type of main heroine as Vermeil, a devilishly hot "Onee-san" type character that enjoys doing risqué activities with the main character.
Romance alot of laughs and secrets only difference is that highschool dxd is about devils and angels while nogizaka haruka is about manga and anime (also highschool dxd boy main is so of a prev)
Both anime are slightly similar. High School DxD reminds you of Mondaiji in using gift/rating games to defeat the opposing team (dxd: other demon family, mondaiji: other communities) with both teams having team members with supernatural powers.
However, Mondaiji has no fanservice compared to DxD.
Both are ecchi series with quite a bunch of action thrown in. High School DxD has an angel VS demon theme going on when Senran Kagura has a good ninja VS bad ninja theme. Both have some characters dying and getting brought back to life to the opposite side they originally were fighting for. In both series the characters create some sort of alternate fighting dimensions for their battles. In both High School DxD and Senran Kagura the main character starts out pretty weak, clumsy and/or lacking in handling their powers but goes through training by their friends/masters and shines at the final fight.
Both series are action ecchi and have perverted main characters who have a ton of girls in love with him. Otoshimono involves angel while DxD involves demons. Also, DxD's main character is a badass while Otoshimono's is useless in a fight.
I started watching this right after i finished DXD and both are two of my favorite harem comedies of all time. Though i did enjoy DXD more because of its violence. Haganai is a great series that takes you on one hell of a emotional ride!
Both Main Characters are pretty pathetic
Friends support him and becomes strong
Weak to strong story
Tales of the Abyss doesn't have fan service though
But if you like the standard weak to strong then you should watch it
The protagonists for both show look kinda similar, both pretty perverted, have two girls that like them (but oblivious to that fact), and special in a way.
DXD and Sword Art Online are similar in one significant factor. Unlike the majority of animes with romance, these two shows actually develops their main's characters affections for one another and you get to watch them grow in their relationships, as well as deal with various trials and tribulations.
Also, both have a male character with a harem.
Both were set in an all girls school turned coed. Both are quite ecchi. In both main character have two friends from the start that are boys, are mainly perverted and always leave the main character behind when someone catches them. The main character girls are thought to be Stereotype. Both have main character who care about girls .
High Scool DxD and Boku no/My Hero Academia similarly star a teenage boy who stumble into an uncomfortable situation one day, which lead them to a figure that lend the boys their powers. Issei Hyoudo, main protagonist of High School DxD is mentored by Rias Gremory, while Izuku Midoriya, main character of My Hero Academia is watched over by All Might. As time goes on, battles get more intense as Izuku and Issei gradually find what their potential could be. While dealing with the consequences of being a hero and demon, with the pressure of their own powers, the boys also fulfill their life dreams. Deku desires to be a great hero, while Issei is determined to be harem king. With their goals and obstacles, the two boys fight for justice. Both shows main setting are also an academy! read more
Similarities:
-Has Demons
-Demonic powers
-Unrivaled Powers
-Both Shounens
Differences:
-Doesn't want the baby, other Wants Oppais
-One is Strongest human, other weak human
-One is Perveted, other doesn't care
-One is ecchi, other is not
Similarities:
-Both MC wants to get stronger to protect what's important to them
-Both MC has powers that can destroy stronger foes (Tsuna with his Oath Flames, Issei with Boosted Gear)
-Both MC becomes a leader of some sort (Tsuna Vongola Boss, Issei was a leader when they save their friends)
-Both MC used to be a normal teen
-Past foes helps out in battles (KHR - Varia, Gokudera, Mukuro DxD - Riser, Saji, Vali)
-Both Highschool Theme
-Both MCs are affiliated with strong families (KHR - Vongola DxD - Gremory)
No-similarties
-One has Demons, other Mafias
-One is Ecchi and Harem, other is not
-One is drama, other is not
-KHR has a nice, kind, and non perverted MC, DxD has a perverted mc who wants oppais read more
A male lead surrounded by big tittied high school girls. These anime will not challenge your mind or offer any worthwhile experience. However, breast and panty shots galore await you.
Both have a main character that at first is a normal human but through certain circumstances are changed into a demon/immortal and become OP. Both are very enjoyable anime.
This is similar to Rail wars as both anime series are ecchi and and both anime's have similar visuals. Another similarity is that the main characters are students. Also the voice actors who play the roles of Haruka Koumi and Aoi Sakura in rail wars also play supporting characters in high school dxd.
Main Similarities:
•The main characters in both anime are strong, despite not appearing as one.
•Both characters share similar-ish personalities (Itami from Gate is less perverted than Issei from DXD).
•Similar genres (ecchi, harem, romance, action, etc.).
•Tons of fan service (way more in Highschool DXD).
•Both anime are long (Gate has 2 seasons - 20+ episodes while Highschool DXD has 3 seasons - 30+ episodes).
If you're like me (who enjoys ecchi, harem anime), then this is the perfect one to watch.
Both anime involve the mc to have a special weapon (irregular weapon)
DXD is a harem, ecchi type anime so if u like harem and ecchi I recommend DXD so if u like absolute duo u should try out DXD
Both are about mostly female fighters, they have plenty of ecchi and fan service, plus they have a pretty good character development for fanservice characters.
