Synopsis

Koyomi Araragi, a third-year high school student, manages to survive a vampire attack with the help of Meme Oshino, a strange man residing in an abandoned building. Though being saved from vampirism and now a human again, several side effects such as superhuman healing abilities and enhanced vision still remain. Regardless, Araragi tries to live the life of a normal student, with the help of his friend and the class president, Tsubasa Hanekawa.

When fellow classmate Hitagi Senjougahara falls down the stairs and is caught by Araragi, the boy realizes that the girl is unnaturally weightless. Despite Senjougahara's protests, Araragi insists he help her, deciding to enlist the aid of Oshino, the very man who had once helped him with his own predicament.

Through several tales involving demons and gods, Bakemonogatari follows Araragi as he attempts to help those who suffer from supernatural maladies.

Bakemonogatari, The start of the "monogatari" Series is a pretty solid introduction, it is like nothing I have ever or well ever see again, with a unique art style and a pretty unique premise.

Art - 10/10 The animation isnt Flawless but the way they use characters blinking as time to flash text onto the screen immerses you into the characters, The colorations and drawing is very unique to the series, and the character designs are actually amazing.

Characters - 9/10 Characters are mostly good, entertaining and enjoyable to have on screen besides the mc in some scenarios who seems to be overly interested in assulting a ...

Bakemonogatari is as a stretch to watch as saying the title. An anime that is visual and musical in its appeal, but with episodes that stretch the dialogue to simple back and forths so much, you will need patience to sit through these 15 episodes.

Is it a complex anime? No. It's pretty straight forward in its mission to separate each arc into its own mystery to solve. Bake plays around the detective wordplay as much as the artsy visuals to carry most of its production. Add in a few supernatural buzz themes and a banger OST and you get Bakemonogatari.

Maybe Miyazaki was right. Maybe anime was a mistake.

I know he didn't technically say that - shut up. Bakemonogatari, huh? I implore somebody to explain the appeal of this show to me without resorting to one of these three talking points:

1) "You just didn't understand it." I like to think I'm more media-savvy than most yayhoos you could pull off the street, and I don't think Bake was just some unfathomably deep show that a mere peon like me couldn't begin to properly comprehend. The fervor I've seen surrounding this show reminds me of when Rick and Morty's popularity was at its peak. "To be ...
