Death is one of many mysteries that has left humanity in the dark since the dawn of time. However, the burning question of what happens to the soul after one dies is soon answered to 17-year-old Yuzuru Otonashi. Waking up with no previous memories in a dimension between life and death, he discovers the unsettling truth of the afterlife.

Taking the form of a high school, this bizarre dimension is designated to shelter those who died unwanted deaths. Feeling wronged by God during their earthly lives, the school's residents have decided to form the Afterlife Battlefront—a rebellious faction determined to oppose their god-like student council president, Kanade "Angel" Tachibana. The group's leader, Yuri Nakamura, recruits Otonashi in their fight against Angel in order to take control of their own lives. However, questioning the morality behind their actions, Otonashi takes a step behind the enemy lines to understand the opposing side of their common fate.

Angel Beats! is an original anime that was created by screenplay writer Jun Maeda and directed by Seiji Kishi. A manga adaptation was later released by Jun Maeda and published by ASCII Media Works in Dengeki G's Magazine. The manga was used as a way to expand on elements of the plot that could not be fitted into the show's original running time. The series has been praised for its integration of music, humor, and action into a plot with deep and powerful themes. The show was chosen as a recommended work by the awards jury of the 18th Japan Media Arts Festival in the year 2014.

"Angel Beats!" is a very emotional anime. It's set in the afterlife, specifically in a school of teenagers who died with regrets and didn't enjoy their youth. In the first episodes I didn't thought I'd like it as much as I did, but it definetly caught my attention and became quite addictive. The most striking aspects of my viewing were:

- The plot isn't exactly amazing, I mean, it's good, but it's not mind blowing or anything, it may even seem a bit "silly" at first, but the story is much more developed and complex than you imagine; the characters ...

👼 **Angel Beats: An Angelic Symphony of Emotions! 🎶**

Angel Beats, oh, what a journey! 🌟 While the anime undeniably holds its own charm, I must confess that the anticipation of a tearjerker left me expecting a tsunami of emotions that, perhaps, didn't quite materialize. 🤔

Yes, it has its moments—touching, adorable, and absolutely incredible. The narrative weaves a captivating tale with an intriguing blend of humor, heartwarming scenes, and unexpected twists. 😄💔

However, the emotional intensity that was hyped up didn't hit me as profoundly as I anticipated. Don't get me wrong, the series is good—really good, in fact! It just didn't unleash the floodgates of tears ...

I finally decided to watch this show, after years of seeing it get highly praised by the community, and i am pretty disappointed.

-Plot: Angel Beats is a show that in 13 episodes tried to do what not even a longer anime would be able to. Watching the series felt like getting bombarded with new plot points and plot twists almost every episode, just to then resolve them quickly and never talk about them again; this anime had so many chances of getting more interesting, but it seemed to just have an adversion against going deeper into world-building and actually explaining things that otherwise just make ...
