Aawww, poor Misaki. Even if she was coming off as kind of suspicious, she really seemed like she just wanted to be friends with Sato. Feel so bad for her.

That episode was painful to watch, but it was really really good.

Every time Satou make one step ahead, he make two step back.

Yamazaki is such a bad influence, though I can't really blame him. He was drunk and just had a bad experiance.

It's true that Misaki is really strange. She surely is a stalker or something like this. Though, I don't think she's a bad person, I just think she have a lot of problem.

The true problem of Satou is not that he is an hikimori, he is an hikimori because of his fear of conspiration, his paranoia. If he could overcome is paranoia, which was surely influenced by his sempai, he could surely unchain himself. I think that Misaki hasn't understood that yet.

lol "that's the exact opposite of what you said yesterday"

Hiis reaction in the beginning was really funny xD

LOL His mistake with putting Misaki-chan in this game xD
lol this duo is just so funny

I guess there's progress though since he's counting down the hours of when he can meet with Misaki (curing his Hikikomori)

the "Meow" was really cute though
Also liked how he stopped smoking

That OST is so trippy xD it gives such a chilling vibe o.o
The OST that played when he started to doubt Misaki
With all his "it's a conspiracy" theories... really makes me think he has Chuunibyou

lol the duo-stalking was so creepy xD

LOL she had a bird's eye view of everything? XD
I wonder what else she saw... like when he was playing all those galges... xD

Talking alien furniture comes back~~
Hikikomori incarnate!
So... unless he can talk about to these... furniture... things... he can't move forward? :O

Anyways... does that mean he has to pay the fine? lol jk

Damn... that ending was depressing ._.
He actually left her behind? >:O

I hope Misaki doesn't give up on helping Sato.

Actually he would be dumb not to run away from her.
From the start I felt like she was a stalker.. he doesn't know anything about her too.
It's weird for him to sign a contract with someone you never met before in the first place.
Te talking furniture is funny lol.

I don't blame him, he hardly knows anything about her. That walk with Yamazaki pretty much increased his chances that Misaki is probably an NHK person or in a clan.

As for Misaki, I feel bad for her. From her POV she is trying to help him but Sato's thinking process is well, filled with conspiracies;

This episode was excellent. It portrays the heavy blow left behind by Satou's seeming obsession with his senpai back in his school days, and how twisted his ideals of reality has become all because of her. His mental block; his highly cynical and suspicious view of others in turn act as repercussions to his outlook on society, and how it resulted into him becoming a hikikomori. Had he face the problems straight on, like how he was younger and how he was innocent back then. He actually still have a shred of that innocence remaining, but his mother denied it back then, which in fact act as a 'backstab' of sort, resulting into this desperate of an outcome. Ironically, his senpai did not end well either. On drugs, and 'suggestably' selling her body... Well, the show's not even half-done. We'll get to see how events unfold. 5/5. This anime is a work of psychology. Hits right in the spot for me (I have an interest for psychoanalysis and human philosophy)

I would push the blame more to Kashiwa. In the end, Yamazaki was just swayed away by the different situations imposed on him, due to his flimsy personality and indecisiveness.

This was easily my least favorite episode so far, but the comments in this thread made it worth it. lmfao

y'all forgetting she's been spying on him and stalking him for God knows how long, though. I'd be pretty freaked out too. Freaked out enough to do what he did and not even bother talking to her about it? Nah, probably not, but this was entirely within his character, as others have said. He was faced with a concerning, troubling issue that made him unsure of the trust he had with Misaki; compound this with the blossoming romantic feelings he had for her, his chance of his paranoia over her increases multi-fold, even without finding out she's been essentially stalking him.

And, honestly, how many of you have distanced yourself from someone you care about because you're terrified of getting hurt? If you've been in a romantic relationship, you very well might have some idea of what it feels like. You just don't need hallucinations of talking furniture to be led to the conclusion because you can think about it yourself. However, are these hallucinations not Satou's method of contemplating issues with own paranoid mind? Hardly.

I'm so glad this is shaping up to be more than just a romance show. Sato seems to suffer from some form of paranoid schizophrenia. Or, there really is a conspiracy of some sort. Or, she has been watching him from her house and fell in love with him and that's why she approached him in the first place.....lots of possibilities. Awesome!

Ohhh Misaki takes centre stage in Sato's mind. Knew she's not as normal as it seems though haha but still not many questions answered. Like can you imagine stalking someone for a long time and be like "Oh blood type A from Hokkaido" lmao.

Also, it's cool to see 'romance' from a guy's perspective once in a while but I want more conspiracy, more talking furniture pls

I actually think it was a good turn, because Satou remained very true to his character: paranoid and anal. And, we see his trust issues haven't just evaporated.

Amen. I'm kind of relieved, actually. And Yamazaki hasn't changed at all, either, apparently. I want them to change, but they have a lot of work to do until that can happen.

"As long as I'm giving it what it wants, I'm sure it will remember me." I wonder what this scene was really about. Does the cat represent Satou? Nah, probably not.

I really enjoyed the dream with weapons-for-arms Misaki. But seriously, she's even more of an enigma than before.

All these people who feel bad for Misaki or thinks it's "too harsh" or "what an idiot."

Like. No.

Do you not realize how creepy Misaki is??? She knows every little detail about Satou, has even met his mother, doesn't tell him ANY INFORMATION about herself, is the only random stranger who ever paid attention to him and offered to help him and be all nice to him, and he just found out she can literally SEE EVERYTHING he does and where he goes. Like WTF???? OF COURSE ain't nobody gon trust a bitch like that. Maybe that wasn't the best approach, but remember that he has very little experience with social interactions. That was his best solution at the moment-- to run away.

So no, don't feel bad for Misaki. It was her fault in the first place for being so secretive. In the real world, you can't just trust anyone and everyone. Plot twist and say this was a guy who appeared all sketchy in the middle of the night and approached the girl offering to help her. I wonder how many of y'all would be weary by then.

Yamazaki's attitude sure changed fast after going to see the fireworks with that girl. What happened to them all being dirty whores?

"I don't know why she's helping me or if she's helping me." She's clearly helping you, Sato...you've gone outside more in the past few days than the entire year beforehand.

The talking objects are by far the worst characters. Poor Misaki looked so hurt by Sato's outburst...I mean, clearly, since we're only on episode 10 this won't be permanent...right? Sato had no rational evidence against her, other than the voices of his mental illness telling him that the world is scary and everyone wants to hurt him.

I really like how they portray thought spirals in this anime. I think anyone who has cut themselves off from the world -- hikikomori or not -- realizes how bad your thoughts can consume you. Even if you know it's completely batshit, the suspicion and cynical thoughts completely blind any rationality and social skills.

Gaaah, you people aren't putting yourselves in his shoes.

From personal experience, Satou's reason for doing this stems not only from his distrust of her but also from all the changes that have been going on in his life. Remember, he's been like this for almost FOUR YEARS. It must be extremely stressful for someone like him to do all of this in just a few months. To him, breaking off the deal is not only a sort of insurance against getting betrayed, but it's also a way for him to escape from everything and alleviate the stress that's been put on him. Remember what a hikikkimori IS. Doing something like this is completely within their nature; when things get tough, hole up in your house.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. Good post.
