 The official website for Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! TV anime series has updated and announced that the series will receive a new movie. Titled Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!: Take On Me, the movie will premiere on January 6, 2018. The main staff and cast members will reprise, and ZAQ will perform the theme song.The movie will feature a new story where Yuuta and Rikka are on their third year of high school. One day in Spring, Touka declares that she will take Rikka to Italy with her, as her job has stabilized there and thinks they should migrate together as a family. Touka is also worried about Rikka not being competent enough to advance to universities in Japan. The gangs from the club suggested Yuuta, who doesn't want to be separated, to elope with Rikka!! A runaway drama throughout Japan begins. Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! is a light novel written by Torako and illustrated by Nozomi Ousaka, and has been publishing under Kyoto Animation's KA Esuma Bunko imprint since May 2011. The light novel inspired two TV anime adaptations in Fall 2012 and Winter 2014, as well as a movie summarizing the first season in September 2013. I totally miss Dekomori but Ren was so freaking terrible, it didn't develop ANYTHING, quite the opposite, ugh. Hopefully movie will be better... Also, runaway drama huh... A as for these news: I just hope it will be better than Ren. S1 of Chuu2Koi wasn't great but it was decent, S2 was iotal disappointment in comparison for me. Although not bad per se it was lower than average. |

| Havent seen this serie yet (or a lot of KyoAni animes) but for what ive seen, most of the movies that follow-up a KyoAni series seems to get a lot of praise (Like the disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, Tamako's Love Story and Beyond the Boundary) so i wouldnt be too much worried about it so far, even if it looks like the second season was polarizing x) |

| I don't want to hype myself up too much but Kyoto's Animation resume of having a subpar season of an anime and then follow it with a movie, means a likely chance of at least being good and making it up. Haruhi Suzumiya went downhill after Endless Eight but they more than made up for it in Disappearance movie Kyoukai no Kanata was subpar throughout but they made a good movie in Mirai-hen Seeing as Chuuni Ren wasn't as good as season 1, movie has some hopes Hopefully the movie has more of the cool imaginary battle scenes that the first season has. |
