If you could get every regular in the club to watch one anime of your choosing, what would you pick and why?

It doesn't matter if it's super popular or super obscure, overrated or underrated, good or bad, a favorite of yours or something you just think needs more attention.

I'm not sure if I have one myself, but I'd be interested in what everyone else would pick.

More than watch I want regular here to read Rokujouma no Shinryakusha LN so that they will know there is real gem in harem genre too.

The only one that read it here is @SuperRed and he seems to give up before reaching the good point.

Until that feeling wears off and you realize you have almost nobody to talk to about the show. In my experience.

The original version of my opening post explicitly mentioned that anime and your username, but I decided that your sense of humor probably can't be saved anyway. :3

Natural character interaction, actual character development well thought out plot, everyone have purpose and role in the story and all of them are essential and irreplaceable.

The main attraction for Rokujouma is the day to day activity of the character. It maybe a bit crowded at first with nearly all main character always be in the same place at the same time but once you get to know about them everything will be so natural that make you feel like becoming part of the story. The character are "alive" and that's what make the story work.

kind of a predictable choice i suppose, but i'd pick sailor moon. i feel like it's a classic everyone should watch, with great characters and storylines and lots of touching or stunning moments inbetween.
and many regulars here seem to have prejudices against magical girl series, so making them watch a great magical girl series could change their minds.

Ping Pong or mecha, since it's my schtick. I'll think about it though

Anyways, I'd recommend any mystery genre fan here to read Umineko no Naku Koro ni (manga or VN).

Idk, probably Ie Naki Ko so people realize how amazing Dezaki was in the 70s and how beautiful old anime can be.

For manga I'd definitely pick Summit of the Gods. Best thing ever created by mankind.

Also I might end up giving Kemono Friends a try because of all the shilling. It better be worth the hype!

Do it. It's worth. Just care, the CGI is indeed bad. However if you can get past first few mins in the first episode, you should be fine. Since the chase scene at the start of the show is really bad. After that... it's acceptable. It's a really fun adventure anime. You should definitely check it out. It gave me a Jinrui vibe as well.

ah I see, but not sure what parts you mean (aside from maybe the public urination one, and that character is just a running gag who always gets treated like a criminal). I mean lots of kids won't get all the references which are probably more for the parents to enjoy as easter eggs of sorts, but I don't really see much inappropriate material.

They have a segment where they read complaints from parents about the characters to them and ask them to repent. I like to think they were real complaints.

I'm actually curious whether those complaints were real or not. I'm also leaning towards yes but it would be nice to know for sure.

Gundam is a pretty big thing here, so I don’t think you’ll have issues there. Sports shows like Haikyuu! tend to get a good reception here too.

I recall finding Bungou Stray Dogs a bit underwhelming back when it was first airing, though I don’t think watching it weekly was helpful.
