Synopsis

Ryuuji Takasu is a gentle high school student with a love for housework; but in contrast to his kind nature, he has an intimidating face that often gets him labeled as a delinquent. On the other hand is Taiga Aisaka, a small, doll-like student, who is anything but a cute and fragile girl. Equipped with a wooden katana and feisty personality, Taiga is known throughout the school as the "Palmtop Tiger."

One day, an embarrassing mistake causes the two students to cross paths. Ryuuji discovers that Taiga actually has a sweet side: she has a crush on the popular vice president, Yuusaku Kitamura, who happens to be his best friend. But things only get crazier when Ryuuji reveals that he has a crush on Minori Kushieda—Taiga's best friend!

Toradora! is a romantic comedy that follows this odd duo as they embark on a quest to help each other with their respective crushes, forming an unlikely alliance in the process.

Just amazing. Of course as a romcom the story is kinda unoriginal, but I believe what matters is HOW you get to the end. Even if it's obvious who should be together, you kinda wonder what will happen as you get lost in the anime which will lead to genuine surprises at times. Honestly the only reason I'm not rating it 10 is the pacing of the last 4-5 episodes. Feels rushed, kinda leaves a few questions unanswered which is a shame because it had what it takes to be a 10 in my eyes.

I think the characters were fine despite being fitting most clichés ...

Mixed Feelings
There are two kinds of camps I have seen when it comes to people who dislike this show. Some will watch the first couple of episodes and just find not to like it, which is somewhat understandable. But then worse fate is being part of the group who watches the show and enjoys it just to have it ruined by the ending.

In a way, I feel like alot of the people who say the ending is fine or even good are on huge doses of copium because they enjoyed the show like I did. I wont spoil it here, but trust me when I say ...

/!\ STUPID CHARACTERS /!\

When watching an anime, it's always likeable to have interesting and deep characters. When watching THIS anime, I have the feeling to witness a big clown party, where everybody is reading lines. Let's imagine that an interesting event is happening, anime watchers would like to think "wow, I don't know how this will end ! How deep charcters, they're so well written !" but in this anime... well, the first part is true, you say yourself "wow, it will introduce a whole new dimension !" No. Nothing change. Sometimes, all I see are charcaters being sad on purpuse, the only reason why ...
