| This episode was really really good, it felt very dark and intense and the plot advances. I think I'm really gonna enjoy this series. PS: That head had to fall off right when they arrvied :P |

| Kamille seems to know his history well. This entire episode felt very original Star Trek to me. The colony looked like the Miri episode or whatever I'm thinking of. |

| Man... poor Jerid. I though Lila was going to be more important, I guess this is why she's not playable in Gundam Musou 3 while Reccoa and Emma are. Kamille is slowly growing on me. I think he'll become quite an interesting character. |

| Like everyone else, I didn't expect Lila to die so early. It's probably gonna give some motivation to Jerid to become a better pilot and overall a better man. Also nice to see some development on the Newtype abilities and their origins, as it pretty much makes total sense: Spacenoids are teh shit. Also the whole Oldtype vs. Newtype seems pretty interesting. Looking forward to further explanations. Kamille proved to be a worthy pilot multiple times already, but I still would not trust an unstable kid like him. |

| Another tragic episode T__T Milla Rira, Lila boobs were shown!! Reminds me of the early episode of 079 with Frau and Mirai! Damn Jerid is making some moves to Mill-san. You were so close boy!! Regarding Side 30, does anyone remind of you the Texas Colony around the last few episodes with Char and Amuro fighting in the middle of sandstorm along with Lalah?? Damn that bastard Bask wouldn't hesitate to kill people to achieve his goals. I'm surprise they showed mummified people and children! I doub't they'll allow you to show these kind of content nowadays. Kamille is developing his Newype skills at a much faster rate!! He can now predict the enemy's next move before it even happens! I feel sorry for Milla being killed like that. But i knew there were lots of red flags, even the music where Kamille was hiding is a signal that someones gonna die any moment now. Hopefully Jerid will learn from this, just as he killed Kamille's mother. So the non Newtype good pilots are called Oldtype?? The celebration was kinda wrong, but this is war so it's understandable. Now i can see how Shinn Asuka from Gundam Seed Destiny tends to celebrate every battle and take it all in. Can't wait for the next episodes! This show is dark as hell and i love it!! The PV's are freaking spoilery though. So i guess i'll skip it like what i did when they revealed Matilda's death way before it even happened!! |

| Finally, we're getting context. I liked the background concerning how newtypes come to exist, but I wonder why it happens more with some than others. What led to the incredible growth of newtype ability in Amuro and Lalah as opposed to Char, Sayla, and the White Base crew in general? Also, it's a little hazy what aspect of space causes prediction-like abilities, but this is still a great start. After hearing the explanation of what happened to this Side, the AEUG finally feels relevant. Now I think I might actually care if the Argama loses the Gundams, whereas I was more or less indifferent before. I liked the comparison of the Argama to the White Base, btw; I thought aesthetically it looked similar. I can't help but wonder if Char had anything to do with that. I didn't appreciate the surprise nudity. Eh. Also, I didn't expect Lila to die at the start of the episode, but it became pretty clear what would happen once Kamille started fighting her. I think that's the first significant death in the series in terms of combatants. This was probably my favorite episode so far, overall. |
| Don't worry about trying to use logic/science to establish a causal link between living in space and newtypery. All you need to know is that that is a thing; don't worry about how it happens or why it works, because Quess makes it all meaningless in CCA anyway. |

| Urgh, they just killed off the forth-most interesting character -_- Well, she also just became interesting as she became emotionally invested in the conflict, but still... This show is currently completely lacking in characters that I actually care about :s However, I must say that it is getting politically interesting. I'm very happy to find out the reason for Earthlings to discriminate against and eliminate those who were born in space. It is a trope by now, I suppose, but I am really happy to see it in this series. Newtypes are getting incorporated in the Gundam universe well :) I am curious if Serenity was influenced by this episode... Lastly, still no slaps? Damn... Bitchslap counter: 5 |

| Nice wink at the desolated Texas colony with this useful detour illustrating the behavior of the Titans. They are not only hunting down Zeon remnants, they are actively erasing any possible rise of Zeonism. (the panels clearly said "get the Earth to Nature" and "autonomous colonies") There might also be some angst against Newtypes (manifesting as a global spacenoids dislike). Lila died before she could mold Jerid, let's hope it will still allow him to change. +1in motivation for the rivalry (like the Lalad Sune incident). Camille has never been so quiet. I still want them to land soon on Earth and take Amuro with them! 4/5 PS: Camille's latent NT abilities are already far above Amuro's after the same amount of time. |

| Better than the last, the narrative can still flies to be interesting in the dialogues and action seen during the armed confrontation yet another. Choreography and direction, good, Tomino, brutally puts out another character that was beginning to like it, Lila goodbye. Drawings and animations more than good, given the seniority. |

| I'm glad this anime is actually getting better because this episode was pretty good. I wasn't expecting Lila to die so soon and so easily considering how impressive she has looked throughout. She was able to handle herself against Quattro so I would expect her to do better here. Looks like Kamille finally decided to be a real pilot and shoot someone down. | It was a pretty good and low-key emotional episode. I especially love the moment when Kamille places the chold corpse's hand on the chest of his now dead mother who he tried to cling to for safety as the poison gas went off such a long time ago. It's especially sweet given that a few episodes ago, he lost both of his parents. |

| "Newtypes are imaginary beings created by media hype" lmao. I guess "oldtypes" are not. Also we got nudity for no reason...again! Typical Gundam, yeah I know already. I should also say that I like the characters so far. Like, people seem to reflect on their environments and all that, and IMO even Lila started to doubt her cause after seeing the horrors on Colony30 and hearing out Char. In fact I was writing this post while watching the episode so now Lila was just unexpectedly killed. And here I was waiting for her to develop in interesting ways. By the way, her red suit has a "Titans" patch despite her being a regular soldier. By the way, did I get it right that Char is actively *searching* for Amuro to pilot the Gundam? That's the crossover I need! P.S. WHy did Lila ride the jeep alone? The other 2 guys just vanished lol. P.P.S. From Lila's wiki page: While relatively minor when compared to the other deaths in Zeta Gundam, Gen Urobuchi stated that his nihilistic writings were influenced by her death. Lila Milla Rira of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam died soon after her Shower Scene shocked me so much at that time. How could Director Tomino allow such a beautiful, booby character casually die? I hated him very much back in the days when I'm in college. | Holy shit! Kamille killed Jerid's love interest. They already hate each other but it'll become a full blown vendetta when Jerid learns about who did it. People evolving into newtypes because they're living in space is an interesting concept, but I wonder if that process is faster for some people. Amuro Ray was still really young and became a newtype, while other, older people on the colony seemed to be oldtypes. Or maybe actually being born in space is relevant? Don't quite get it yet, hope it'll be explained. If not - I guess it's just different for everyone. Oldtypes subconsciously feeling antipathy towards newtypes is something that explains this whole conflict. I get that they're worried that they're going to rule eventually due to their superiority, but preventing humanity from evolving seems counterproductive honestly. |
The conversation at the start around training Kamille on the Argama because it's similar to White Base reminded me of Raiden's training and trials through MGS2. |
