In Japan even now in 2010 they have 'innocent until proven guilty" thing written bottom of the fucking toilets. They don't respect it for shit. Cops prosecutors treat young guys like shit especially if they have such a record like Mario has. Now consider also the times this is made and fuck, am surprised he only got his head slammed on he desk. Sometimes i think you live in some strange paradise land. Anyway Mario is in some serious trouble right now and for the hell of me i don't see how any legal way would help Mario. The only way i can think of, is finding a way to blackmail the prosecutor. I don't know what to think about his love for Setsuko. The show didn't do much of a good job there since the indications for a love interest between them were invisible until now. Another sad story with her being forced to marry for money to her family. People used to make daughters to sell them to rich fucks those days. |

| Not again in jail..That guy in the end looks like a new Ishihara pig! No matter how hard i think i just can't see where this show is going..Each episode is so unique and opens up a lot of possibilities..You cannot say for sure that this guy will live, that guy will go to jail, that the plan will work and so on.Unless of course,you had read the manga.That is the most fascinating part for me;A few things will definitely occur, because we are in the anime world where bad people eventually get punished and good people always triumph in the end.But, in Rainbow the plot is delivered so thoroghly..There are things you can't predict, things that 'll make you cry, laugh, sympathize, true feelings and emotions.. Well, that's just MY personal opinion. |

| I don't understand all this complaint of Mario being Sakuragi Jr...sure they have the same principles, and Mario is still boxing, and they're both kind of awkward with romance, but that's about it? Oh and I guess the same hairstyle too. Mario is still less mature than Sakuragi, and more governed by his emotions than Sakuragi had been, the maturity part is a big difference between the two. He is similar, but he's not Sakuragi Jr. Plus, don't people know that when you hang out with the same person a lot, or really admire someone, you subconsciously pick up their habits and ways? That's probably what's happening with Mario, if anything. Also, I always thought Mario liked Setsuko, but I guess other people didn't see it until now, or thought that it was predictable that Mario will like Setsuko? It's not predictable if it was already there, unless you predicted it because you did have a hunch that Mario likes Setsuko :P Anyways, Mario...why'd you have to go and use violence? Even though he wasn't 100% at fault here, he still ended up getting caught. Shouldn't have asked the man to hit him. That prosecutor looks like the next bad guy :/ I don't like the use of such black and white characters, but it's not totally unrealistic either. |

| MarioxSetsuko romance seems pretty awkward and cliche to me. Woman has arranged marriage with another dude but falling in love with another guy how many times have I seen that situation *yawn*. What's happened with Joe's sister?? That scene made me cry in episode 2 and now it's been forgotten/dismissed :/ If it's not addressed until the ending I'm going to knock down half a rating. I tried to justify in my mind how Anchan died and whether it was stupid or not. I think maybe that stab wound was worse than it looked and he knew he was dying anyway... But he managed to survive everything else that Ishihara did to him when he was in the prison... I don't really know what to think about that because it's like I don't have enough information about exactly what he was thinking. But I would have liked to know more about his past when he was a Kamikaze (suicide bomber). Looking forward to how they are going to help Mario and hope the next 11 episodes are more intense like it was in the beginning. |

| Dammit you guys! You really are going to risk going to juvenile prison just to save one of your old friends for doing something reckless?! Wow. The zetsubou is probably flowing through Mario's veins by now. Helping one of their own escape made a lot more sense when they were all locked up. Now that they are all out of the reformatory school, saving Mario seems really rash considering that they could all be sent to juvenile prison if they are caught. Good luck silencing that prosecutor. He looks brutal. Good episode nevertheless. Curious to see where this series goes. 8/10 I'm really starting to wonder why this anime has an 8.63 when everyone is complaining about the cliches. | Man, this anime has no direction. Very sceptical of where they are going to go with this. Maybe should have been a 12 episode anime, and stopped when Sakuragi died. Idk, that's just me. Still good though, just lacking direction and feels all over the place. |

| Lol what a joke, hope that wimpy adult gets killed. First he gets all pissed over some alcohol and shoves the owner against a wall of bottles and a bunch fall. That's legit assault. Mario comes to solve the problem and he lets that guy do two punches then goes ham on that guy. The guy says he will be sorry for everything and then runs away with injuries. The next day he decides to be a whiny kid and call the cops on Mario... k. Hope that guy dies or some shyt. And dam seriously that public guy wont even listen to Mario. Thats some justice alright... unfair justice. |

| Setsuko is now set to get married with another man, to save her family from ruin, even though she was coming to love Mario, who is becoming more and more like Sakuragi. Mario doesn't even know what pushed her to choose this, but he knows that he has 'nothing' to offer her, I had even forgot that he never served his sentence, and now the weight of law is about to come crumbling down on him. Turtle made this episode funny to me, I laughed when he flew off, unable to properly sustain the sandbag, and also when he went on with the crazy idea of Soldier stealing a tank to rescue Mario, but Mario fell on the hands of a prosecutor who is blaming Japan's current state on "criminals" like him, and he doesn't even lend Mario a ear, he just wants to see justice served, even if it is just an arbitrary one. But Mario isn't alone. |

Not to mention the way they try to tear jerk the viewers every 2 minutes with the same cheesy ass music and cheesy dialogue. What an absolute shit show this has turned into. |

The anime shines when it focused on it themes of brotherhood and camaraderie but those shining moments are soured by the characters constantly making irrational dumb decisions. Some of which feel heavily forced for the sake of drama. |
