| I rarely even notice CGI in anime enough to complain about it, but even I picked up on how bad some of it was this episode. Looked really awkward/unnatural at times. Still a brilliant show though, was a fun episode.. can't wait for the next! |
| Looking at the first ep, Thorfinn really improved a lot by himself, pretty impressive. Looks like he will get to duel Ascelad in the next ep. I'm still doubting that he'll win because this series is still far ahead |

| Well, ok, years have passed, Thorfinn seeks for revenge blah blah. But is he this stupid not to realise that Askeladd is just a mercenary and the real person responsible for his dad's death is Askeladd's customer? Why he never questioned this and focuses only on Askeladd instead? |

| Honestly, the CGI soldiers looks quite poor. It isn't as horrible as, for example, Overlord's soldiers but it isn't something impressive either. Average episode overall. It wasn't really that entertaining. |

To the people concerned about rooting for such violent people, you really have to look at this from a historical perspective. If anything the show paints vikings in almost sympathetic light. The times were brutal. |

| So, this is the first chapter of the manga and that's why it felt so shonen-ish. The French nobleman was so goofy lol. I liked that the anime adaption started chronologically cuz it would not have convinced me if episode 7 = episode 1. |

| I'm not gonna lie...this was really bad. Reading the comments, I understand that this adapted the first chapter when this was still a shounen, but still...the difference was so jarring, I had to stop and check whether I was watching the same show. REALLY hope this isn't going to stay this way. |

| Pretty damn awesome battle episode! Thorfin has some serious guts. Also I kind of wish that fat Frank leader was taken care of by the Vikings. "we will attack next summer" says King Sweyn, I guess there will be more battles against the English to come. Also Thorfin naruto running was so odd and out of place I laughed out loud |

| This episode was simply epic. I was too busy getting all excited from seeing how wild Thorfinn and Askeladd were against the French to feel mad or upset at them for being so brutal. Those Vikings are extreme as hell even when compared to others from their time and I love it! The music was excellent in making me all the more excited for the whole thing and the action here went all out~ |

| Still as average as the manga was back then (they can't go against that of course), with a few dynamic ideas and a few low points in visuals (mid range characters with no face? In a digital series?). 2/5 |
| It was okay, only complaint is that I didn’t get to see the fight scene between Thorfinn and soldiers in third person perspective. Seeing it through his eyes was cool though. Overall a decent episode that doesn’t really do much, but it’s great for Thorfinn’s character development and shows that when he kills he’s not just killing as a heartless wench. Also he didn’t forget the reason why he decided to stick around Askeladd in the first place, which was nice to see. |
