Another entertaining episode. We got the usual duo doing their exploring while they seem to have fun while doing so.

That music in the second half is really catchy imo. Can't wait for the OST of this anime to come out. Yuuri and Chito really seems to be really happy :)

Great episode

The pillar with the eyes and mouth on it cracks me up and I don't know why. xD

The snow meling transition in Chi-chan's hand was stunning.
Quite the insane driving stunt the girls pulled there. Lucky they got out safely.

The girls getting drunk was pretty amusing to watch. Chi-chan going all out. xD
Final scene with them swinging each other around was really sweet.

That ED. XDD

The girls need to drink more often. Really sweet episode.

But I have to say I liked the initial episodes more. This is more like cute girls do cute stuff, it lacks the after-war feeling, the survival aspect so to say.

Yuu was the hero of the episode saving their life twice in short time.

I know there aren't many people left but what's gonna happen to the next poor soul that tries to go up now that they destroyed the path?

Last part reminded me of Osake wa Fuufi ni Natte kara, another anime in this season that is underrated like this one imo.

Great episode once again.

The graves part was very melancholic, they wanted to be remembered, we also know now what these statues are there for.

The girls going on the spiral was surprisingly tense, so close on the outside, what the fuck o___O First sense of real danger for me since the elevator broke on the one side.

Moonlight was just fantastic then. It actually almost made me teary-eyed seeing them drunk and having the time of their life in the moonshine, music choice was also brilliant there. Such a joy.

The middle part was hella nerve wracking, first you suddenly noticed Chi kinda wobbling while driving the Kettenkrad and then that entire scene on the outside was just sweat inducing.

Yuu's moon light power was hilarious, poor Chi got hit.

Them getting drunk was really cute/amusing to see, though again them drunkenly dancing near those ledges :scary:

This show is already in my top 3 from this season but depending on the rest it might become my favorite by the end of the season.

I really enjoyed the multiple tone shifts that this episode offered.

The first one was with the huge amount of memento drawers that Yuuri scavenged a few amount of items, but Chito's words really hit home for me. Each of the drawers had the person's name on it, along with their precious items sort inside of them. It felt like a graveyard and Chito was right to tell Yuuri to put the items back where they belong.

The spiral segment had even more of a danger element than the lift problems in episode 3. The main spiral path was broken near the top, so they took the risk of taking the outside route, which proved to be too weak to handle the 1,500kg+ weight of the Kettenkrad, and started to fall apart. Yuuri was the hero here, where she helped the frightened Chito by taking over the throttle controls and flooring it. Their escape from certain death was VERY close that time...

The moonlight segment was just pure gold though. Yuuri had a fun time running around with her metal pole, smashing objects in her way due to the "moon's" power, but got a rugby tackle from Chito after hitting her on the head by accident. That led to the discovery of the beer bottles and my first thought that came to my mind was them drinking the bottles and getting drunk.

Happily, they did get drunk and thus, led to the next 3 or so minutes of pure entertainment that had me grinning like a stupid clown. XD

Also, I really liked the humming song that both Chito and Yuuri did for the ED credits. The small post-credits scene shows that Chito doesn't tolerate alcohol well and had a big headache. Yuuri, on the other hand, looked completely normal, so I think her tolerance to alcohol is very strong. =P

I don't think I would have been able to survive driving along that outside ledge while it was falling apart. That was scary af.

The grave part caught me off guard. Sudden sadness out of nowhere.

I liked the last part where they got drunk, as it was quite funny, but I couldn't help but feel a bit nervous when it showed them dancing near the edge. I thought one of them was going to fall of for sure.

There are even higher lvls of the city, wonder if there is a better chance to find survivors at the top.
Going up that spiral looked dangerous, don't think I would have gone through it with something as heavy as a tank. They aren't going back down from there, that's for sure.

That was a superb episode, starting really dark and ending on a very light note. The realization that this was a graveyard indeed was shocking, to be honest. No bodies, just things left to remember the people. And no actual living being to remember them because even though there are still some people left in the world they won't know the details of who the "buried" were, or won't even be able to read the names (just as Yuuri, if Chiito wasn't around).

The spiral part was both philosophical and stressing enough. And of course, after all of that, the drunken dance under the moonshine was like a cure for me.

Also, beautiful flashback of Kanazawa and Ishii:

Well, them getting drunk was not something I expected to see, so that was definitely a surprise; it was also surprising how pleasant that was, and it made for a really good contrast to put that after the melancholic scene with the graves and the danger of the spiral scene.

Another great episode, I really love the setup of this series, the idea of two girls surviving almost alone in this post-apocalyptic world makes me want to watch and explore more of their world.

The grave scene made me feel a bit weird (like the manga did) and both 08 spiral and beer scenes where awesome.
That intense sensation I had when they were on that platform just trying to go forward and survive, oh god.

I'm really looking forward for the next episode.

Quite a strange place the girls stumbled on to this time though. Those shelves really are the size of buildings though. Yuri really took a liking to the camera though. While the chances are remote it will be nice if they will be able to meet Kanazawa and Ishii again. Hmm well the best way to not forget about items is to store it it. Taking the items from the shelves will cause them to lose their meaning i guess. That tower that they went up sure was a tall one though. But man the girls sure had a close escape this time though. Yuu really went crazy when she saw how bright the moon was though. Funny how the girls came across alcohol though. Chi really is funny when she's drunk though. Dancing under the full moon while drunk sure sure looked fun. The song that they hummed sure was cute. Quite the chill and funny episode this was actually.

Now that I think of it in a city like this, which is in the "height", there should be a lot of wind and cold.
I suppose if they were able to create such constructions, they also had the intelligence to know where to make houses, so that they would not fall. XD
The question isn't "What anime do you like?" That is merely a list.
The question is "Why do you like it?" That tells a story. Your story.

That moonlight chapter so was fun and cute. It was a great way to end the episode after the darker beginning with the bizarre graveyard scene about memory and the whole almost dying thing.

It does make me wonder if those locked graves actually have corpses/ashes in them. Perhaps because of the apocalypse and all, there were too many bodies/bodies were destroyed or lost, so those 'graves' really all just contain a few items belonging to the deceased person.

Sometimes things just work out better than they should - turning a building into a bridge, driving on a path after breaking its support. It's a strong world.

These days, due to overexposure, I'm a bit numb to cute things in anime, but there are exceptions. Chito eating Yuuri's hair is the biggest one in a while.

I never expected them to be drunk at some point in this series, that segment was hell of a cuteness. The spiral and memories ones were very interesting as well. Good Episode.

I'm curious about something. I too had a favorite part of this episode but no one is talking about it. So I'm wondering whether people noticed it and simply didn't see it as important, or if people missed it due to how the scene was (which the makers of the show likely intended).

Did anyone notice when Chi kissed Yuu?

It was very VERY quick but if you go to around 18:35 or to the scene when Yuu went all "psychotic" for the moon and Chi pushed her to the ground, for what probably lasted no longer than five (5) seconds, Chi lightly kisses Yuu in the face.

I interpreted this as a subtle and quiet way (besides the snuggling) of showing these two young women see each other as more than just friends or traveling partners despite the show seeming to not be willing to show them as "lesbians" or something similar up until this point.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it doesn't matter. I'm just sharing my thoughts. Good episode, like usual.

Another great episode. The girls pass through some graves, get to a higher level and to top it all off, they get drunk and it's amazing. So cute to see Chi goof off even though she was drunk. The moonlight segment was a very nice way to end the episode.

Wouldn't be surprising if there's a body, or at least a body inside some of those drawers. After all Chi already referring about those drawers as graves, "real" one or just hypothetically.
THAT expression.
And that's why the Minor shouldn't go near that "Moonlight" drink or something like that yet. xD

Somehow, it looks like Chi bends over and kisses yuu but am not quite sure about that. It could just be a previous movement to just stand up and grab the stick.

I love this anime, I love the, "Optimistic Nihilist" tone, but I wish it had more "meat" in it.

Like, heavier dialogue between the main duo about what they want to do, what the point of their journey is. Not anything philosophical, just more heart, and more character development. Maybe have a little more conflict in each episode to make them feel a little "heavier".

Life is a spiral indeed. Wake up, eat, go to work, eat, back to work, go home, eat, watch anime, go to sleep, and then wake up again. Only when you drive off the path is when things either get exciting or dangerous. And when it gets dangerous is when you start thinking that everything is fine....NOT! What are you thinking Yuu-chan?!

And forget the dank weed. Beer?! I knew it was beer! And Yuuri wants to get really really high. Oh yeah, they're going to get really really high alright...

I thought those things were lockers. In one look, it doesn't look like graves. Haha. That was a very creepy place. I snorted when I saw that same statue, though. Haha. Goddamnit, Yuuri is so easy to forget Kanazawa-san. What the hell, girl.

Is it just me who screamed so loud when those platforms started faling apart thinking these two girls will fall? It's really hard to trust these shows, maaan. Do not harm my babies, show. I'll hurt you!

Their dialogues during the Spiral scene, though. "How can you live if you're afraid of dying?" Damnit, Yuuri.

The moment I saw those bottles, I knew they were alcohols. Of course, them two babies are so clueless, they drank it. Hahaha. Chi just experienced her first hangover. I'm wheeeziiiiing! But I'm so happy seeing these girls having the time of their lives while they're drunk. Pffffft. Definitely my fave scene this episode.

5/5. <3

That beer under the full moon was just what they needed after a day like that. That was an amazing scene. And it also shows us that even after the end of the world, life is what you make of it, I guess. Well, the whole story sort of has that underlying theme, but this scene was especially light. This whole episode, not just the drinking portion, gives me renewed admiration for this anime. Like Kino no Tabi, there's a lot of commentary about our own lives hidden beneath the surface.

Storage graves like those are quite common where I'm from. I should probably think of something useful to store in mine besides my ashes, in case the world does end and a couple of adventurers like them stumble upon mine.

I don't consider it graverobbing, because I doubt material assets hold any meaning to me after death.

Cool episode. I've had a dream in the past, long before seeing this series, where I was in a vast cemetery similar to that same feeling one gets watching this show. Maybe it is a common dream around the world and the author had a similar one.

When Chito and Yuu enter the building/bunker? (It reminded me of an HQ bunker from the Atlantic Wall), was that a phone with its charger cable plugged in? This would be just before they found the beer.
