 The April 2016 issue of Bessatsu Friend magazine, which will go on sale on March 12, has announced a TV anime adaptation of the romance comedy manga Watashi ga Motete Dousunda.The series drawn by Junko has been publishing since 2013 and currently has seven volumes in print. It placed fourth in the 2015 rankings of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga is Amazing!) among female readers. The series has also been published by Kodansha Comics USA since October under the English title Kiss Him, Not Me, which was selected through a reader contest held on Crunchyroll. Synopsis Kae Serinuma is a second year high schooler and an avid fujoshi who secretly ships her classmates, Igarashi-kun and Nanashima-kun. The death of her favorite anime character causes her to become stressed—and loses weight rapidly. Now that Serinuma has become an attractive girl to her classmates, her snarky kouhai Shinomiya-kun, and her senpai Mutsumi, how is she going to deal with them ...with her constant BL-filled, fujoshi mind?! I remember being intrigued by the seiyuu and my recognition of the art style, then instantly repelled by the synopsis. I hope that more than anything, this makes fun of fujoshi/BL tropes, rather than BL in general. fujoshi/fan shipping culture can get pretty gross/repelling so I'd like to see something that takes that concept and makes something interesting/funny out of it. | We shouldn't try to find logic on a fictional character losing her weight so quickly over a fictional character within the fiction. It's like trying to find logic on the time-travel in Boku Dake. I am not into reverse harem but have been following this for a while and it can be really funny at times. If you shut your brain functions, Serinuma's fantasy triggers are pretty enjoyable even for those who aren't into fujoshi stuff like me. However, I think not all the characters are likable. At least it was in my case as I read the manga. I only ever liked Serinuma with Matsumiya-senpai and Igarashi. It's hard to choose between the two but up to the point I read, I have been more inclined towards Senpai's chances with her because he is the only one who treated her with kindness and affection even before she lost her weight. If we take that away from Senpai, Igarashi is the auto pick because he is just too nice to be overlooked. I don't like labeling him as a 'nice guy' because nice guys almost always end up not getting their girl in shoujo manga but that's just what Igarashi is. |

| I'm not entirely sure what to expect, since not only am I not a fujoshi, but I can't stand fujoshis. But it looks amusing, so I may check it out! Or at least read some of the manga to see if it's good. |
