Shit, that escalated. A group of guy in suits coming to ambush Ushio..

I feel bad for Tora as he got hit by some electricity and tortured (part of his plan though). I swear, the scientists in this series are just too damn cruel. Kinda creepy about the experimentation and shit going down there..

Thrilling episode. One more left for the season D:
The action was pretty good seeing Ushio in action. Also felt a bit bad for Bal-chan....

Thought this was the final episode lol but I really enjoyed this

Those scientists are cruel but I don't think they deserve to die....Imprisoned yes though, and I feel really bad for Bal so I hope that they can save him

Tora's entrance at the end was awesome

Asako and Ushio got involved in a lot of trouble with those scientists who were up to no good (which seems to be quite common among scientists in anime).

Lol at Tora's badass entrance at the end. You can always count on him at the last second.

Gotta feel for the folks who dropped this early on, due to it feeling like it had no sense of direction. This shit is lit right now. That ending! So hyped.

Those scientists are such scumbags, ugh. I also love it though when characters like that are designed in a way that shows it too, creepy looking lol.

I loved how excited Tora was at the end too, he's probably just as hype as we are for next episode! Lol

Behold the Hakumen no Mono rock and the random youkai Asako met !
Ushio sure has some feels for the beast spear blacksmith and his family
Asako's voice really doesn't fit some of her angry faces.
It sure is Tora action time.

Another great episode. Glad to see Tora joining in to kick Hakumen No Mono's ass and damn, Ushio should not have saved those evil scientists.

Tora comes to save the day at the end of the episode! That was badass.

That old lady looks just as ugly as one of Hakumen no Mono's avatars herself, and the whole team reminds me of Nazi scientists. I seriously hoped that Ushio let them die instead of saving them.

Those scientists were probably muted during Ushio's intensifying monologue because they were listing the chemical makeup of humans, since the blacksmith's body is literally the shaft. That would make sense for why Ushio got more and more angry the more they talked about their analysis of it.

Interesting abilities never before seen that Tora used...never knew it also acted like a homing beacon.

Overall, I'm glad Ushio displayed some decent spear-fighting by fighting off those men in black without activating the beast spear--finally shows he's not completely dependent on it's mystical power, and retained some experience unlike some pitiful displays in previous episodes.

I fear we may not finish the series in time with Hakumen no Mono's defeat with only one more episode left...and if we do, it'll likely be rushed. Here's hoping they green-light it for sequel to really flesh it out.

Why do I get the feeling this show has something against science? I mean last episode a demon that looked just like Albert Einstein was eating peoples brains now these scientists are horrible and this stuff about a savior (Tora) will come makes me think there's some religious message behind all this.

Also dammit Asako, You had 1 job nice work leaving it until the last second, Also you suddenly care about 1 of the ghosts because it looked like a boy? What about all the others that Ushio killed?

Anyway this season is pretty much finished and Ushio is still pretty much useless without the spear and constantly gets beat and caught surprised Tora hasn't just eaten him at this point.

That's because it's split-cour. There'll be 13 more episodes completely dedicated to the endgame against Hakumen no Mono in Spring '16.

at this point i'm still wondering how Tora hasn't eaten Ushio yet , seriously almost each episode ( i'm exaggerating of course ) Tora saves him . just when i thought Ushio got stronger . and again isn't Ushio way too nice ? i mean dude these guys torture ghosts even innocent ones , they've captured you and the girl you love just to make sure you cooperate with them and you save them , seriously ?!

Crazy scientists now. If everyone that wanted to take out Hakumen no Mono pooled their resources instead of trying to want to it out on their own, things wouldn't be quite as dramatic for everyone.

Nice episode and I agree about the scientists. The evil cold death look in that female scientist's eyes was scary to say the least. Yeah I didn't like that Ushio saved them, but I have a feeling we'll find out that there's more to them.

As for Tora keep saying he's going to eat Ushio, it's slightly getting old because he's never going to do that. They get into all kinds of situations, helping each other out, never a dull moment for Tora etc. He may not truly care for Ushio, but he does keeps saving him and his friends. Love this anime though, gonna suck to have to wait till April after episode 26.

Damn this ep was sooooo good. We some more weirdos, good youkai's and a little of DRAMA. I've got to say, that stepping on the hair was a bit too dramatic imo, but it sure paid off when Tora came in rushing witch excitement.

Too bad that theres only 1 ep left :/

In fact, at first I though that the woman was an avatar of the Hakumen until she showed terror for that spider-like Hakumen avatar.

This was interesting to see some government involvement and then with the scientist.

That was a nicely timed yawn, and that was quite the entrance Tora made, with one pull making such a transition from being "I want to go home" mode to battle one.

Given the prominence in the OP I figured this would be at least a two parter, although it was starting to look like they'd manage to fit everything into one ep, but I guess my first instinct was right. I'm guessing the third cour will start with The Sky Reflected in His Eyes.

Tora has a lot of neat tricks that are suddenly appearing NOW when they probably would've been helpful much earlier on. I mean, he can make clones of people using his hair??? Surely that would've come in handy before!

The Beast Spear arc was hard to follow, and the Kirio and HAMMR stories are just not as good. We're not seeing any progress towards defeating the big bad boss guy, just obstacles to the final ending.

I disagree with everyone here asako and ushio were being dumb in this episode. I understand him getting upset over them kidnapping him and asako but really did he have to get mad at them studying the spear so that they could further their research against hakemono. Thats pretty counter productive people trying to stop the greatest evil there and he wants them to stop just so hakemono can keep doing whatever it wants. Then asako gets pissed at a bunch of youaki which seem to me are pretty evil themselves (making this assumption) that were being experimented on I mean come on most youkai so far have slaughtered people keeping like 20 of them and expirementing on them in order to save mankind and youkai isnt really that bad. Then on top of that ushio says I dont want hakemono to kill anyone else and proceeds to let even more people die. I mean if they let the scientits study hakemono even further it could prove useful and he could kill hake8mono sooner instead of him getting angry at them and hindering their work.

People really think this comes across as filler?

What?

Seriously, what?

I'm already looking forward to the next batch. I gotta see more about the past, China, the spear, and Hakumen.

And holy hell, I just looked at the manga; there's like at least a 50 chapter skip between last episode and this one.

Some of them look pretty critical to the plot... so I'm guessing most will be skipped, but the critical ones will be rearranged for the second half; there's no way they can cut those, I'd think.

Life can be cruel and unfair. At worst it can traumatize and cripple you. The desire for wanting things to return to the way they were can cost everything and changes nothing. The best way is to keep moving forward, struggle on.
Anger can be powerful but can only get you so far. Let people into your life even if some of them leave you in time.

Fight. Like. Hell. For everything and everyone you love. Always.
