Baccano yes, although is an anime you don't see very often in its background (the period during alcohol was restricted in USA), the focus on achieving a clear goal needs a compelling narrative that knows where the trama its headed and why, it needs to be inhabited by characters worth caring about and the content generated from a combination of those two needs to be presented in a better way.
Characters are not bad but for me tend to lack some minimum of motivation towards its actions.
Furthermore, the typical outfit of the gangsters gives me that feeling of a parody rather than a serious show.
The other aspects like art, music, violence and voice-acting are quite good though.
However don't take my oppinion into consideration since I'm not a pro reviewer. :)
