| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well that was amusing with the way Ushio and Tora. I mean, it wasn't an actual fight but whatever. There's no way he can defeat him at the moment even with that Beast Spear imo right now. Nice to see Hyou's presence this episode though. I think his voice fits his character quite well so far as well his personality. His thirst for revenge really brings out his character. And imo, I think Tora should sometimes listen to the advice of others. For this episode, perhaps from Asako. He took quite a beating this week.. |

| Hyou had a very dark past with both his wife and child getting killed. Hopefully we will see more of him in future episodes as well as the monster that killed his family. |

| This was probably my least favourite episode from the original series, and this new adaptation wasn't much better. But thankfully the next episode is the so next week should be a lot more enjoyable for me. |

| Hyou is a cool character, although he was being pretty unreasonable; wanting to fight Tora even after knowing that he wasn't the one that killed his family. I guess rage got the best of him for that moment. The fight was great, and hopefully we'll see him again soon. Asako putting Ushio back on track was nice to see too. |

| Somehow, i can't feel the 'Broness' that was suppossed to exist between Ushio and Tora. Their relationship in general is one of the weakpoints of that anime. |
| U just gotta love how tsundere Tora and Ushio are to eachother Loved Hyou. BA addition to the cast. I can see him contrinuting to a lot of the battles later on. That Tora vs Hyou fight was amazing. Lasted a whole damn day lol Nakamura ship is sailing smoothly and Tora really did love the burgers XD |

| Such a great episode, Hyou is such a good and strong character, his presence made it even more amusing and interesting, what happened to his family is really unfortunate! Ushio though, I was really pissed of with his childish act at first but then he beutifully made up for it, it's just not like him to cause harm to someone who's actually innocent even if it's a monster let only Tora, and well this accident will help making their bound stronger now, Tora should try eating Pizza sometimes he won't need to eat Ushio |

| Although his backstory was nothing super original, Hyou's past was still pretty tragic. He's a cool character though. And I'm glad we got confirmation that Tora enjoyed the hamburger he got in the previous episode. Lol at Nakamura: "Hit me!".....and then she proceeds to run away before Ushio can hit her |

| So a little progress to chalk up in this episode: Asako so obviously likes Ushio that I think we can chalk up an easy win for the childhood friend (although romance clearly isn't the focus here), and Ushio and Tora appear to be moving the marker into the "frenemy/allies despite themselves" category. Meanwhile Tora has expressed his fondness for Inoue's "hamburgers"... Megaphy said: Still unsatisfied with the MAL score. At 7.65 currently it is .45 better than the original series, which isn't bad for a reboot with a retro style. Also MAL Score Progressions http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1399634 shows it making steady progress each week in the ratings. I think you'll find out this will end up in pretty good shape ratings-wise by the end of the series. After all it's not ground breaking or based on a current hot manga/LN, it's a very entertaining reboot. |

| Damn, I really like this Hyou guy.....Sucks what happened to his family though :( Dude's pretty impressive, especially he fought Tora for over a day and actually was one step away from winning....The fight in itself wasn't any spectacular but I will say that it gives them both some cool feats Seeing Ushio realize (With the help of his childhood friend) that he actually likes Tora and appreciates everything that he's done for him and vice versa with Tora was really great |

| Enjoyed the hell out of this. I really like Hyou's character, he's an interesting addition. Ushio and Tora's bond is becoming stronger : I still can't get the image of Yuma out of my head whenever Ushio speaks though.. That VA. |

| Good character development for both Ushio and Tora. I feel that this isn't the last we'll see of that exorcist, since we don't know who's that Tora look-alike that killed his family. Man I hope the romance between Ushio and Nakamura happens! |

I actually find Ushio & Tora's interactions(and Tora interacting with the world in general) to be the strong point of the anime. Of course you can't feel the broness because it's not even there yet. However, it's slowly building up, which can make it all the more satisfying. Not like it doesn't have plenty of eps to work with. |
| Holy shit, the show is finally starting to pick up! Best episode so far. The action was pretty good, a step up from the mediocre action in previous episodes. I'm hoping that an actual plot gets introduced in some of the later episodes, because the monster of the week formula is not my cup of tea. 4/5 |
