| Hotaru watching. Summer festival and the talk about when she got lost when young and meeting hotaru. Both of them having misunderstanding about hotaru that they met (ghost vs fairies). They are satisfied because they are pretty. The mother of Ogura-chan's character. lol~ it was her after all!! (ghost vs. fairies). First season ED as ED again. |

| I thought it was awesome. Aoi and Hinata saw different things, years later to embarrassed to want to talk to each other about what they each saw...and here it was Kokona... Did Kokona say she made her yukata? fairiesfireflies were thick in the woods where I grew up. My brother and I liked to catch them. I think we were more dangerous to them than their natural predators :D |

| All the parents went to visit fireflies with their kids but where was Kaede's family? >.< I was hoping to see her kid self too! Abundance of fireflies under a starry night was a beautiful scene. I actually wished a real firefly fairy would appear there. XD |

| Haha that was funny how Kokona was the one to bring Aoi and Hinata back, but her cute costume made those two see different things XD Too adorable. The fireflies with the starry sky was a beautiful scene, so magical. Makes me wish to experience such a pretty sight. |
| I always assume kokona-chan come from a wealthy family since she give prim and well manner ojou-sama vibe but this episode shown this is not true at all, quite a development really. I like that firefly costume. |

| Heheh, nice background story - so they met each other when they were young. And this time, we even get to see Kokona's mum which was nice. Kaede going in casual clothes - I was expecting no less from her! And the scene when there were standing in midst of fireflies was very nicely done and touching. |

| Seems Kokona has always been a bit weird, if she always wanted to be a firefly. Although by the looks of it, Hinata wouldn't have much liked it if she was. Parallel thoughts, eh? That's something I'd like to see some time. Fireflies against a clear night sky... The fairy was Kokona eh? |

| I could not stop smiling this episode. I love the artistic direction this episode took both with the mesmerizing fireflies and the trippy flashback. It was so ridiculously sweet when Hinata grabbed Aoi's hand, so simple but profound. The yukata were lovely as well (curse you Kaede, you're too casual but that's what makes you great). Moe is love. Moe conquers all. |

| Good episode. The animation did change a bit. It felt a bit more fluid and the scene where the fireflies were surrounded them looked great. Also, the relationship Aoi and Hinata share is truly heartwarming. When Hinata held Aoi's hand... it was really cute to be honest. And Kokona... if she was cute before, now, she is absolutely adorable nghhhhhhh |

It was still a good episode though. This episode was a clear standout. Both the episode and animation director only worked in this episode alone (the latter did do both roles for a S3 episode). It was noticeable with the characters looking ever so slightly different, and the general character animation and gesticulation being more detailed. If that didn't make it easy to spot, then every flashback segment or the firefly scene are definitely like nothing else the series has offered so far. It's fun that, given the doubt, for the uninformed beholder a slight change in style can mean a negative decrease in quality, when in this case it's quite the opposite. Either way I think this episode is a good excerpt of what to expect from the third season, which is meant to have more of these approaches. |

Gorgeous episode with people like Imaoka and Shingoyama from Yozakura's 10th episode. By far, the standout episode of this series. |
