Both battle, school, harem anime with very powerful male lead. Very similar even down to female character hiding their gender.
report Recommended by Malcavic
In both series, the female characters are the dominant characters as they take the skies and brings about the action with their abilities. The main male protagonist gets acquainted with these characters as some of them develop feelings for him. There is fan service in both series along with some drama, action, and comedy. Romance is obvious between the main male and female character in both series. They also take place at a school life setting.

If you like mecha related battles with flying battle suits and lasers guns and of course we can't forget the pretty girls. You will like IS: Infinite Stratos. Since its pretty much just like Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut although it dosn't have as much Dragons and stuff. its less supernatural and more Tech.
report Recommended by -HeXy-
Both shows are harems where the lead male has a power that only females are supposed to have. In the case of IS, it is the ability to pilot a specialized mecha, and in the case of Blade Dance, it is the ability to contract spirits. In both cases, the lead male is forcefully enrolled into an all-girls academy.

- Girls-only-power (1 exception in IS)... - "Wears" machines and flies across the sky - Action, lots of dynamic mid-air battling scenes - Clumsy, weak main character with great potential who grows fast - A cool mentor/leader - Takes team work sometimes to take down enemy

This Kinda have a similar feel I.S has less Eechi Scene but more harem but its opposite in Freezing Also they have a story kinda the same of Girl being the ones with Power but in Freezing there a limiters for boys I.S has nothing really

Both mecha with male protagonists having their (unwanted) harem.
report Recommended by entropy13
Both animes have a protagonist who is a new transferred student; inevitably, the harem begins to form. Infinite Stratos and Heart Hybrid Gear are very similar and ecchi moments often appear.
report Recommended by uninternaut
The guys in the Anime happen to be a special person who is allowed to go to a special school. There are harems involved, plenty of action and crazy chaos.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
They're both harems show in which the "harem" led by the male protagonist is somewhat identical
report Recommended by Transvoid
This is similar to Infinite Stratos as they are both Mecha, and harem genres. However, IS does focus more on fan service and the harem aspect compared to Muv-Luv. Both have great character development and interesting plots.

Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou, or "Color Wars" as it is lovingly referred to by anyone who watched it as it was airing, displays several similarities to Infinite Stratos. The solitary protagonist in a sea of opportunity is perhaps the most glaring of these similarities, but the fact that both main characters are surrounded by bitches who want nothing more than to get inside their pants make the two characters are almost interchangeable. While the setting is different, the premise is not. The main character is not quite the same as the people that surround him, and because of this, it would seem that he is destined  read more

A single lucky seemingly useless (at the very least; boring, normal and/or plain) guy, gets into a school mainly comprised of beautiful girls that battle one another as part of their school days with super powers. Except IS is more sci-fi, and Maken-Ki is martial arts. Both male protagonists have a harem of girls after his affection without them having to lift a finger; you're typical harem anime.
report Recommended by Estoy_Gordo
The series is somewhat similar with IS: Infinite Stratos where the main male protagonist is the only one in the world who can use power which normally only female can use. There is also the fact that the male protagonist is enrolled in a school full of female despite being a male.
report Recommended by hellogarry
Both are very similar anime with the concept of a male student entering a girls' school, or at least the female area. The male main character has the same powers as the girls for some apparent reason and a lot of the voice actors are the same.
report Recommended by Fortitude-Creed
This anime has the feel of Busou Shinki all the way, with similar mecha designs and really good quality animations. They both involve fighting and stuff like that.

Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry is very similar to IS: infinite Stratos, here's why: Similarities: - Both anime has 1 male MC who enters a school of futuristic combat-theme - Both anime contains pieces of romance/harem AND comedy - MC is strong - Both anime is based on school & sci-fi setting with action scenes If you like action, comedy, romance (or even harem), then you should definitely watch! They resembles each other a lot. Although story approach is slightly different.

No mecha in DxD, but sexy, cute girls who are violent and funny, just as in IS. There are magical powers, swordplay, and demons/angels/etc, and the story is set in a school in DxD. IS has mecha, swordplay, and is set in a school as well. In Highschool DxD, the protagonist is a nice guy who is initially weak, but then builds up his power to achieve his goal of earning his dream girl's virginity. There is a lot of "accidental" undressing of the girls, much to the protagonist's delight. The protagonist from DxD is a lot more perverted than the guy from IS, which makes it refreshing in a  read more

Gakusen Toshi Asterisk is very similar to IS: infinite Stratos. This is why: 1. Both GTA and IS is in the future, sci-fi setting. 2. Both series is harem, comedy and action themes. 3. Story approach resembles a lot. Even the charachters. 4. MC are both strong and also just started on a new "combat-school". If you are looking for animes with action/comedy/harem/romance, then this is it. They both will give you a good time of comedy combined with ecchi here and there.

Multinational harem of mecha pilots.
report Recommended by ZettaiRyouiki
Both have one boy and multiple girls piloting mechs and both are incredibly deep with symbolism only few will understand..
report Recommended by oijgahkrthnkndc
-Both see the protagonist thrust into a situation where he is suddenly surrounded by women -Both have the members of the protagonist's harem initially adverse to him, and they eventually grow and fall in love with him -Both have a protagonist that is (mostly) completely oblivious to the romantic advances of his pursuers -Both feature numerous similar comedic situations

both are releated to mecha actions and have some romance in them.... Aquarion evol is more of a short harem anime with a complete ending in 24 ep whereas infinite stratos has a long harem and a fitting end is yet to be made....
report Recommended by animebd2018
i think these are similar in a way that the main characters are heroic while using machines or mecha. Both anime are romantic and some scene in IS are hilarious! Both are good anime and i recommend them both.

Highly capable young ladies in skintight suits making the world a better place through the copious use of surprisingly non-lethal high-tech gear, and the male teenager whose trousers they all want to get into.
report Recommended by sciencewarrior
Each anime is based around a sport using vehicles that would otherwise be seen as military grade combat weapons, though Girls und Panzer is based on WWII tanks, It is also set in a future setting. Infinite Stratos uses Mech units in the place of tanks and like Girls und Panzer are only piloted by girls, The difference being Infinite Stratos is based on a male lead being able to use the mechs. Whilst Girls und Panzer is based on a group of girls recruiting others into their team and joining a competition.
report Recommended by Objurgo
Both animes are a 'mecha-typed' series Both main characters are, so to speak, 'not in the correct place'. (Kira from 'Gundam SEED' is a Coordinator but surrounded with Naturals; Ichika from 'IS:Infinite Stratos' is male surrounded by female friends)
report Recommended by ISRedEyed
They both give you the similar feeling . If you like this one i think you should like IS also, other than that their story are different others are pretty much alike. Both MC are super dense . I am actually surprised that i am the only one that recommend IS .

Subaru acts like a guy at school as well as Charlotte and they both get there secretes found out in a very ecchi way XD. also that they are both comical in the begging

A harem in a school environment where the protagonist is male and is different than the rest of the school. If you like one you will probably like the other.

Guy activates powerful technology that only women could operate. Both lead to the main character becoming a pilot. Both also have romance involved in the storyline.
report Recommended by SparksOfLogic
Both center around one guy with many girl students and an elite academy dedicated to fighting. While IS is set in a mecha sci-fi setting, Sky Wizard Academy focuses on magic. They have a lot of comedy based off silly or cute slice of life scenes that let the individual girls shine.
report Recommended by yngtadpole
Both have students with advanced battle equipment, and something like a mecha style and very much oppai to see (oh wait, that's not the point)
report Recommended by DJackerick
VERY similar to each other. Both have a Male lead very capable in combat, with their ladies who fall for them also capable of combat. Both series harem ladies fall head over hills for the guys, and both are completely clueless about it. Both even though they are naive, they are NOT push overs, and do not tolerate injustice done to people, especially their women.

Infinite Stratos is Absolute Duo with mechas. If you like action with a dab of romance smeared all over I'd recommend you take a jab at either of the two. Both animes start off with your average unaverage teenage boy that has a special power that others don't. They are later both forced into a dorm with a beautiful girl, which in Ichika' case is an old childhood friend, and in Tooru's case it's a girl he never met but is interested in him at first glance. The point is they both forge a strong relationship with each other. But then shazam a whole whorde  read more

They each have a generic harem style which if you are into it, you will find rather enjoyable. The main characters are both serve as the only male characters in their respective series and as such all the crazy harem shenanigans that follow are in both.
report Recommended by ROBO-D
The two animes are mecha animes with very enjoyable art styles. They may be very different but in their own way the are basically the same with their corny plots you will definitely enjoy both if you have seen the other.
report Recommended by ROBO-D
I don't know how to put the fact that the series have simular vibes. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I can't tell one harem from another. That be the case, both boys attend what equates to be an all girl school because of a very specific reason.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
- The main character in both series is studying at a girls' only school although they are male. - Both Yuuji and Ichika have a harem, although, in one of the anime, the choice that the main character is going to make / has made is more obvious than in the other. - Both have a lot of ecchi content.
report Recommended by TheXchidori
Okay if you want more mechs and girl pilots in revealing clothing after watching Cross Ange, check out Infinite Stratos, there's an abundance of it. Moreover, the main characters in both anime have a special hidden power, and only the MC can pilot a powerful mech. The MC in Infinite Stratos is a male, but both anime have a harem of women who idolize the MC.
report Recommended by tojoubasara
Rather carefree battles... to a point, fighting for world safety and dealing with school. Some how they seem simular...

Mecha is used as a sport. Spectators watch who's stronger.

Tsukai no World Break has a story that is very similar to Infinite Stratos. I say this due to the fact of both shows containing many "Monsters" that will attack, which is stopped by the main character. For example, in the beginning of Infinite Stratos, a "Robot" attacks the main setting in the show. Just like the beginning of Seiken Tsukai no World Break, we see that a delinquent decides to pick on one of the main characters (Ranjou Satsuki), which is later stopped by Moroha (Main Character). Other similarities are the character designs and personalities. I can compare the Shizuno with Houki of Infinite  read more

If you ever need more anime to hate because of the density of the protagonist that almost reached the cosmic scale, (from the nil/non-existent - to the one single man who drew the lines of the DENSE MTFCKR, Orimura Ichika, which is the god of density, maker of all humans genderless, all without sexual preferences) CHOOSE THIS ANIME, you will REGRET this choice MORE.

Similarities - Both MCs are students at a military/cadet academy - Both MCs have a female harem - Both MCs use high performance mecha - Both worlds have high levels of technology Differences - in Infinite Stratos only women can power mecha VS Muv Luv anyone can power mecha - in Infinite Stratos there aren't any unknown alien lifeforms that attack earth - IS feels more like a school/SoL VS Muv Luv feels more like a dystopian, Sci-Fi - MC in IS doesn't isekai VS MC in Muv Luv isekais into a parallel universe into the past
report Recommended by ST63LTH
Both have the setting in the future where wars are frequents and new military/magic weapons are made.
report Recommended by Dr_Kuravle
Both series have the female character protagonists and antagonist completely dominant over society, Shidou(Main protagonist of Date A Live), is a lot like Ichika, accept the complete opposite at the same time. They deal with mecha, and action sequences similar to the animation of 8bit studios. This show won't disappoint you at all if you are looking for something to fill the void after Infinite Stratos.
report Recommended by Jambles
They're both about a male student surrounded by females. In IS the MC can do something that only girl can do, so he is therefore accepted into an academy that specializes in this amazing ability. The thing is, this school has always been exclusively for girls. While IS is focused on a male MC developing his unique ability, Ore ga Ojousama focuses on the same concept, but the MC doesn't really have any special powers.
report Recommended by Jackdoue
Both of them have mecha. Eureka 7 is more inclined to machines though. Both of MCs are put in difficult situations, both start out as talentless and doing something impossible.
report Recommended by delta_epsilon
Both anime work in the same format. Meet a new girl/pokemon, has a good fight with them, beat them, and add them to the collection.
report Recommended by nbyung09
Lots of angst and sci-fi. A young male is basically introduced to a world others are in a way not privy to.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
- both are Mecha genres - both have girls fighting with help of machines
report Recommended by abystoma2
They're both harems, to say the very least. You have the main hero guy getting more girls one-by-one as the story progresses. Interesting to say, these are both action series where the guy isn't just standing by the sidelines while the ladies do the work. They take the effort to be useful and stand up as a hero to them.

Similar sci-fi aesthetic, flying powered armor, action/romance, cute girls.

Similarities: - Art and animation. - Character designs and personalities. Houki and Charlotte = Sylvia ; Ling Yin and Cecila = Seika ; Ichika = Teppei - Both are Comedy, Harem, Ecchi, and School anime. - Their ratings are R+ - Mild Nudity. Differences: - Infinite Stratos has mecha while Princess Lover! focuses more on rich people.

Main characters from both series can pilot the special mecha. Byakushii from Infinite Stratos. Tsugumore from Sidonai. One series is 2D, harem, comedy, and action. The other is full 3D, action packed, mysterious plot, and alien-like creatures. Sidonia main character is capable to handle the situation while IS main character is so so.

how the main male character end up in an all-girl place. in IS: Infinite Startos Ichika is in an all-girl high school, but in Nagasarete Airantou Ikuto falls in an all-girl island. and how the main male character is skilled in a certain way of fighing, Ikuto is in swords-manship and Ichika is in the armor. and also, how the girls that like the main male character act similarly between the two animes, also how the main male character live with a girl

This anime is also very similar to Mashiroiro Symphony: The Color of Lovers. The main character is the only guy in a Female School!!! The reason he joins is he is able to use a machine which only females can use. There is quite a bit of ecchi in this anime but it is in a contained anime. The harem that surrounds the main character is quite alike. You should probably watch the first episode & you will truly be astounded that's a gurantee if you loved/liked this anime

These two series focus mainly on a male lead character who is surrounded by bunch of girls but is unable to choose. And of course, the protagonists in both the series have some kind of unique skill differentiating them from others in the crowd.

Both about a guy's live, and there is a lot of pretty girls along the way + its also about machines + his childhood friend hits him + The only other guy I only supporting him

Looking for another harem anime? Craving for main characters risking their lives to protect his (girl)friends? Look no further because Campione! would definitely fit into that category. Not only does it have a lot of action, the characters also burn with passion. Just be warned that the ecchi level is greater than IS. Despite that, I'm sure that this is also one of those anime that you'd really wish to have a 2nd season.

Similarities: - Both have a the male character loved by many girls (Harem) - Both are of the sci-fi genre - Both have a dense male character - Both a have variety of girls with different personalities - Both have funny scenes and fan service Differences: - IS is a mecha anime where as TLR Darkness is more about aliens - IS has serious fight scenes where as any fight scene in TLR Darkness is more comical

Both main characters have power to awaiken a mecha wich no one of his kind can - in IS - no male can, but in Break Blade no one can. Although "Break Blade" has a much more serious storyboard.

These are almost similar. If you love to watch Ecchi / Harem / Romance / Comedy with a little bit mix of Mecha (Sometimes) These two are the great choices. I am a picky person when it comes to Anime so if I recommend an Anime probably 55%-65% Guaranteed That you would like it also. AvJ Don't Let me Go.
