Lol, no. My girlfriend is 24, so a bit younger than me and she isn't a fan of Elfen Lied. Her guilty pleasure anime are Sailor Moon, Wedding Peach, and Oreimo.
That's crazy you found that person on Reddit though! I actually know her quite well since the online Elfen lied community is very small. She was one of the people who helped edit the fan wikia back when I was working on that project and she's the sole mod for the Elfen Lied sub-Reddit, which is only 6,000 users. I do participate on that subreddit to interact with my fellows in bad taste, so I interact with Diva fairly often.

There are a few Elfen Lied fanatics left on the internet. However, it’s a small enough group that we do tend to know each other. The EL subreddit tends to be a very friendly and accepting place since everyone is so used to feeling ostracized in other online anime spaces.
