I watched alot of your videos when i first started watching anime, you helped me discover alot of gems. Keep up the great work :)
I also hope that this new anime gets rid of the filler moments and go straight to the point of the manga as well. One of the few issues that i had with the 1984 version is that most of the fillers to drag on for a while than it needs to be.
P.S. so far castle of cagliostro is my favorite in the series.
Almost similar For offers toku
Amazing series ، It is the best written series by gen Urobuchi “psycho pass, kamen rider gaim , Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica”
“I did not mention Fate Zero because it was pre-planned by the writer nasu The original writer of the fate and kara no Kyoukai series”

And Slayers I finished season one is so fun
very soon I watch Lupin Part 2 + 5
Yea it also surprised me how much Christian thought and Christian characters and themes are in the series and message it is trying to convey, with Willibaldi in season 1 discussing about love & discrimination and Sverkel being a wise and devout Christian even in his life philosophy, showcased a good amount of Religious understanding in the series, not only that but Thorfinn taking a sort of pacifist martyr role could be likened to that of Jesus, makes me wonder if the author is Catholic or at least of a Abrahamic religion.
When it comes to the Knife scene i think in a way its supposed to represent how his reason for living up until then was ripped away from him as shown through his depressive state at the beginning of season 2, while the Valhalla dream sequence is a reawakening to his duties as a true warrior, and newfound reason for living, i think they directly mirror eachother as points of great turmoil and change in Thorfinn's life and thus justifies itself in being separate scenes.
As to Thorfinn's overall guilt its definitely a point to make that we never directly see Thorfinn in the brutal pillagings that happened but he was probably still involved if the occurance of him being taken care of by that old lady who took care of him in season 1 is to imply anything
I would also like to speak on the nuanced way it portrays conflicts in the story with Snake but i'm not sure if you've reached that part of the story yet but yea i like how it doesnt condemn or portray different perspective on a conflict as good nor bad and you can understand each character's motives on a pretty personal level.
You should watch Movies Series Kara No Kyoukai and Read Visual Novel Fate/Stay Night
