How well can you predict someone's gender?
| We have shounen anime and shoujo anime, but you can't say that only boys like shounen or that only girls like shoujo. There's a lot of overlap. As for how well I could predict, I don't think I would much better than random. There are some cases that scream boy or girl, but those are rare. |

| Looking back at all the people I met online, I'd say I'm right about 50% of the time. Finding dudes who only like shojo anime or BL is quite rare so I'm confident when I encounter these tastes but for other tastes, not so much. |

| 50/50 really. I know a few guys who like josei/shojo series like Nana or Natsume's Book of Friends, but it's less common than girls into shonen and meccha/ecchi focused stuff. |
| A little better than 50/50. It really helps, though, if they have it listed on their profile. Then it goes up to, probably about 80%. Hehe. |
| I've never tried but I can think of quite a few mal users whos anime list screams a gender. Good luck finding a guy with Yona of the Dawn/Ancient Magus Bride and such crap on their favorites. Ditto for girls having a lot of so-called "chad" anime like Golgo-13. |

| My vote goes for no better than random chance. I really haven't seen much differences between female vs. male anime taste. Only telling point is maybe I have never seen a female with hentai on their list, also pretty rare for men to have BL (at least rated high) |

| Yaoi anime in list is one of the ways to find girls .. I haven't met any boy /man who lies yaoi anime .. I personally watch anything that i think will be my thing.. but haven't gotten interested by yaoi anime yet |

| Hmm, probably less than 50% of the time? It’s usually a lot harder than I think, since different people have different sexual orientations too. But I’d say it’s a combination of their favorite characters, anime, manga, and what their overall profile looks like. If I see Vampire Knight, Ouran High School Host Club, and Free! in someone’s list, then I’ll assume the person is probably female. If I see DBZ, Berserk, or Mobile Suit Gundam in someone’s list, then I’ll assume the person is probably male. |
