I started watching anime more seriously again only in 2018, so that's the year i'll start with:

Anime watched in 2018: 11(9 TV and 2 OVA's) (Might not be accurate since Malgraph seems to no longer keep track of the anime you watched properly, from 2019 i keep track of them via anime planet's challenges feature.)

Anime watched in 2019: 30(14 TV, 8 Movies, 6 Specials and 2 OVA's)

Anime watched in 2020: 19(12 TV, 3 Movies, 1 ONA, 1 OVA, 1 Special and 1 Music video/Commercial)

Anime watched in 2021: 15(11 TV, 1 Movie, 1 ONA and 2 Specials)

Rating explanation:

My ratings are based purely on my enjoyment of the anime, they are also subject to change sometimes as i realize i rated an anime too high or too low (mostly the former).

Characters are definitely the most important for me, if i can't stand most of them or couldn't get myself to give a damn about them, then i will score the anime lower, on the other hand, if i really loved the characters then the anime will get a higher score. I can often forgive a lackluster plot if i really love the characters, as they are what keeps me engaged and wanting to continue watching the most.

Then comes the plot, which is of course important to me as well, just on a smaller scale that the characters though. A amazing plot/story might be able to sometimes carry an anime for me even if i didn't particularly like any of the characters, such as in Steins;Gate case. If the story/plot is dumb, frustrating, boring or confusing (to me) it will get a lower score, on the other hand, if the plot/story is super engaging, intriguing, mind blowing, emotionally moving, awesome or just entertaining then i will score it higher!

The art style is also VERY important for me, as if i don't like an anime's art style/character designs, then i won't even consider watching it. If i somehow do end up watching it and the art style proves to be too ugly to bear i might just drop the anime. Since anime is a visual medium, i don't want to sit through something that will traumatize me. Why would i waste my time on something i consider ugly if i could instead actually watch something that's pleasing to my mind and eyes?

I sometimes check out an anime mainly because a seiyuu i like has a role in it, though that doesn't automatically guarantee that i will like the character or even the anime to begin with.

I don't really place any weight on OST or OP's/ED's, sure an amazing OST and memorable/catchy/amazing OP/ED is preferable, but if i hate them, that won't necesarily affect my opinion of the anime, for example, Servamp is one of my favorite anime but i don't like the OP lol.

10- Top favorite anime. Absolutely loved it!! I was completely hooked untill the end and when it was over i wanted more!!!!! If there are any flaws i either didn't notice or was able to ingore them because the story/plot was just that amazing and/or i absolutely loved the characters!!! 100% Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone!!!

9- Favorite Anime. Similar to those i rated a 10, these anime are also my favorites, i love them very much!!! I absolutely loved the characters and story/plot, but there was maybe just a tiny little thing that prevented me from scoring it higher, like dragging out the story/boring episodes for long runners or elements i didn't really like etc. but i still loved it very much and would highly recommend to anyone!!!

8-Good anime. I enjoyed watching this anime, i just wasn't as hooked on the story/plot or loved the characters in the same way as anime i scored higher, but still very enjoyable and entertaining, with some good and lovable characters. There was never a trully dull moment with this anime, just that i didn't connect as well with it as those i rated higher, would still definitely recommend to people unless it's a type of anime i don't think they'll enjoy.

7- Alright anime. I unfortunately didn't enjoy this anime as much as i had hoped to. Usually this anime is nothing special, the plot/story might be less exciting for me and i couldn't really care about most if not all of the characters, but it at least wasn't atrociously boring or offensive to me. Won't really recommend it.

6- Meh anime. Usually it's a boring or unsatisfactory anime to me, i couldn't really connect to the characters and/or get invested into the plot, might have some things/characters i disliked too but they were not enough to get me to score it lower than this. Won't recommend it.

5- Bad anime, Usually it's a very boring/stupid/nonsensical and unsatisfactory anime to me with boring/infuriating/despicable characters, usually one or more character(s) really pissed me off and i wanted to strangle them throughout for being a bitch/bastard but still can't say i absolutely loath the anime, will not recommend this at all.

4-Very bad anime, Usually this anime really pissed me off badly, worse than anime i rated a 5, it has a bad/shallow or a completly forgettable barely existent excuse of a plot with horrible/despicable/idiotic or cardboard cutout characters that make me want to beat them to a pulp, strangle them to death or drown them in the kitchen sink!!! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND!!!!

3-Horrible Anime. These are the shittiest sorry excuse of characters ever made!!! Absolutely all of them are disgusting psychopaths with absolutely no redeeming qualities or spineless cowards who would even abandon their friends in the blink of an eye and won't even try to fight for anything, even if they supposedly "love" said things!!!!
Trash plot with even trashier characters, these should be thrown in a file shredder, never to see the light of the day ever again!!!...........What are you doing thinking of picking this trash up?!?! Run!......I said RUN you imbecile and save yourself while you still can!!!

2-WTF is this!?! This is not anime, nope, i refuse to acknowledge this as anime, there's nothing to see here, so turn back now before it's too late!!! DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!!!!!!

1-Pure Hell's spawn incarnate!! So far, i have been spared from finding this, but should i ever have the misfortune of someday finding an anime to rate as a 1, then trust me when i say that it's most likely an atrocious abomination to all of mankind and should immediatley be erased from not only existance but from every unfortunate souls mind that had the misfortune of ever stumbling upon it,i hope that i never find such an anime, because i'm not keen on being traumatized for life.

Anime that I WILL 100% ABSOLUTELY NEVER WATCH: BL, GL, Shounen-Ai, Shoujo-Ai, Yaoi, Yuri, Hentai, Smut, Incest, Paedophilia, Lolicon, Shotacon.

Anime that i avoid and will likely never watch: CGDCT, Moe, Anime where all of the characters are female (Except Shoujo), Harem (Not including Reverse Harem.), Harem + Ecchi combo, Cars, Anime with crude/gross humour.

Anime that i mostly avoid and will only watch if they really interest me: Ecchi, Anime with explicit violence(AKA Gore not just bloody violence/blood.), Horror, Idol anime, anime with animal abuse.

Anime that i will very rarely watch, only if they really interest me: Sports, Mecha, Space, Modern Isekai targeted to a male audience.
