Anime Relations: Shingeki no Kyojin
Inconsistent ass mods deleted the thread so here's a useless blog for ya'll
Ight 👏
Bout time I made a negative toxic thread.

Basically from the title, and some of you may already know this about me, but I hate manga readers.
Why? Well there's multiple reasons why I hate them.

Now this is pretty much a given. When a mass community of people are ahead of something, some just feel the need to tell others of their immaculate knowledge to make themselves feel good. Or stuff like "Oh you didn't know? Oh I'm sorry, you should've just read the manga, and besides, it's not even as big of a spoiler compared to bleep"

Now imma use Attack on Titan for example.
I genuinely believe that there isn't a single anime only Attack on Titan fan who has not been spoiled.
Why do people feel the need to spoil everything?
"oH BuT tHAt'S yOuR fAuLt fOr gETtiNG sPoILed"

What? You think we want to get spoiled? It's pretty much impossible to avoid any of these things.
After one gets spoiled for something, it's definitely not going to be as an enjoyable experienced once they see it. Cause now they are expecting it.

Overhyping everything
"Yoooooo my favorite manga is getting an adaptation! This is about to be the best anime of all time!" "OMG Just wait until that moment happens!" "Everything is going to be trash in comparison." "Screw it, even tho it hasn't been adapted yet, this is the best anime of all time."
Yes… I'm referring to Chainsaw Man fans. -_- Legit, I kinda want Mappa to screw this one over just to have a laugh at it. Ok… maybe not, I kinda want to enjoy it, but you can understand how hella annoying they can get right?
Putting alot of hype and expectations on something can lead people to critique it more. Just like in anime, overhyping an anime hurts it more than it helps it, same applies to all ya'll manga.

"But the manga did it better"
Ugh it's so annoying to constantly see manga readers always complaining when the anime, no matter how good it is, "misses something"
"While they're backstory was good, they missed a line from the manga"
"The pacing doesn't match the manga's."
"Even tho this was good, from what I know from the manga, it could have done better."
BRUH! Judge the anime for what the anime did, not from what the manga did.
I hate when manga readers say the anime is trash when it’s really not. Let people enjoy what they want.

Just read the manga bro
"We at the manga community have supurior knowledge and taste above all other beings, which is why if you don't want to be spoiled or anything, just read the manga."
Look, i can't stress enough how many people bothered me about just reading the manga of something.
"It's the better experience, the writing is so much more better than the anime. You shouldn't watch the anime, read the manga. The manga bro. Just read the manga."
Even if that is true, I will watch what I want to watch, and I will read what I want to read. Just quit beings so freakin annoying about it!

Judging an anime based off the manga
Now I know this one may seem a bit similar but here's what I mean bit judging an anime based off the manga.
People on this site will already instantly rate an anime extremely high just because the manga was good. (Take Chainsaw Man for example) And people will rate anime extremely low because the manga was bad (Take Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2)
Now yes, I know this doesn't apply to all manga. Take Blue Period for example. Highly rated and loved manga but with a stupid low anime score. But that brings back to my point to from before. I personally think the anime is doing a pretty good job at the moment but I hear complaints from manga readers about the pacing compared to the source material.
Now what I mean about taking Chainsaw man for example is that I bet you when it releases it's first episode, no matter how mid it's going to be, I bet you the rating will be in the top 25 highest rated, because the manga is good, so the anime has to be good. (again, this doesn't apply all the time, but it does too often)
And the exact opposite can be said about Attack on Titan.
"Lower your expectations for the last couple of chapters. The manga wasn't good, so the anime isn't going to be good."
Legit I encountered three people who literally rated the second part of the Final Season of Attack on Titan a 1/10 and their reasons were, "cause I know what's going to happen, might as well already rate it what it's going to be."
You know how stupid that sounds?!?!
Oh yeah and one more thing: "The manga was so bad, it just ruined my experience for the anime, despite the anime being good so far."
Bruh, while the anime has pretty much everything to do with the manga (because anime is literally an adaptation of manga) The manga has nothing to do with the anime.
The manga came first and it has nothing to do with the anime. Why the hell would you trash on the anime for something the manga has done.
I can't stress enough to judge an anime for what the anime has done.
And judge the manga for what the manga has done and leave the anime (that's done literally nothing wrong) out of it

They ruin fanbases
Like I said before, I'm kinda getting annoyed with the Chainsaw Man fanbase.
You guys are being so annoying about this, no matter how good the manga is, I'm just disliking the fanbase more and more.
Now imma use Attack on Titan for example.
Attack on Titan now arguably has the most toxic fandom in all of anime, and I genuinely believe manga readers played a big part in that.
If you think about it, the AoT fandom wasn't a toxic place until the around the time the final chapter was released.
If I could think up of one thing to call the Attack on Titan fandom, it would be a bunch of spoiled brats. Legit, they were given everything and the moment something didn't go their way and they throw the biggest tantrum ever. Legit if you go to Hajime Isayama's page you'll see some of the most petty and hate comments on here trashing this man.
You know at this point, the AoT fandom is giving the haters every right to hate on AoT.
Is Attack on Titan really gonna end up like Naruto? Where people can just hate on it no matter what and all we can do is just take it without saying anything?

(of course, the manga readers aren't the only ones at fault. Anime watchers on twitter can go jump off wall Maria and into the titans for all I care)

…hmmmmm🤔 I should honestly make a thread taking bets on what the score of AoT would be. Cause I honestly don't know x) All I know is there are going be lots of 1s and lots of 10s

Anyways, for those who just think I'm being a big baby about how things are… yes, you are correct.
But for real, not all manga readers bad. Most spoilers aren't too intentional (probably not) While the overhyping can get out of hand, the same could be said to anime watchers and their sequels.
And when some people try to explain how the manga was actually better isn't bad all the time. Most are genuinely trying to give their takes on how the manga was able to execute the moment better, which is fine, it's just that trying to be annoying about it is such a pain to deal with.
For the most part, I thought of them being pretty chill and stuff, but oh my gosh the annoying ones are just too much. (then again, the same could go for anime watchers)
The people I mention is pretty much just a loud minority, but big enough to make it seem like a majority (same could be said for the toxic people in the aot fanbase)
But for the most part, most of manga reader just read manga cause they want to and they enjoy it, just how anime watchers watch anime cause they enjoy. Both sides of the community are annoying as hell but you have no idea how long I wanted to trash on manga readers.
And if any of you guys think I'm just grouping every single manga reader into this group, I'm not.
Of course, if anyone lists enough bad things about anything, it's going to look bad. I don't hate all manga readers, just the types of ones that I listed.
Legit, I could write the same thread about Anime watchers……………🤔 actually that doesn't sound like a bad idea. Gotta keep the trend going.
If you guys want me to add any points that you guys have I'll do it, and I'll gladly welcome you manga readers to come and have a go at me. (Tho for real, I'm pretty bad at explaining stuff so if you got any critiques on my points, go for it. I need to see if I covered everything or not)

factual blog aot has the most toxic fandome

We will soon be free from the toxic community, Eren. Isayama stirred up the ending on purpose, so that the fandom goes crazy, but then in the end finds salvation when the true ending is delivered in the anime finale. This ending will satisfy every single person and will cement AOT as the greatest anime storyline. Not even wannabe edgy elitist will be able to resist rating it a 10. And at this point, because of all the leaks about Final Season part 2, it's not even copium, just facts

Fair points. Also the Eren gif about the 'other side' is hilarious lol.

Source-elitism not only is hella annoying, it's also so fucking dumb.

As a manga reader, I totally agree.

However I do my best at not spoiling and making sure that I hype up the stuff less than it actually will be, since it increases the fun.

In every walk of life you will find idiots in abundance. This is only made worse when the target audience is younger and they see stuff in black and white terms. Do not let that cloud your vision too much.

But seeing as you are a manga reader, at least I guess so, how is Chainsaw Man? :P Does it have the potential to be the greatest anime ever?

You know, for the reasons you set above I often make it a thing to avoid hype and manga fans for various series. It has been my policy for the last 20 years. Read the synopsis, watch the trailer and go into a show blind. That way you are not clouded by the fan base and will not get yourself hyped.

The other plus side of watching blind is you can give an opinion that is detached from the community; if it is good you mean it and are not just going with the flow. If it is bad and everyone says it is great you can do so with a clear head although doing this here could be problematic if you go in all guns blazing. If you must be contrarian then you got to do it in a measured fashion lest you or the thread gets blown away.

If the show has got a bad reputation due to manga fans or LN readers then you can also call them out. Tsukihime personally was a big victim of such outlashes. It wasn't the best thing ever granted but the anime was solid but boy did the visual novel readers sh*t all over that one.

I laughed so hard at that Eren gif at the end. Tbh the transition from anime only to manga reader really felt like Eren’s experience. 7 years of hiding from spoilers, wishing to mingle freely with other fans. Give up and finish the manga at the last minute. Finally free to go outside, I emerge into … a world of hate and conflict. Fortunately, all I can do is whine about it.

AOT’s fan base is truly the worst. I hope the anime-onlies are better.

Fair points. I mean if the adaptation is good enough, I am fine but there are cases where the manga readers have a point (Berserk 2016,TPN and 7DS) where at that point the manga really is the best option. However, manga readers are also toxic so while they may have a point they make people hate them.
