 An official website has opened for a TV anime titled Cheer Danshi!! (Cheer Boys), which will begin airing in July 2016. It adapts a 2013 novel written by Ryou Asai and published by Shueisha about a group of boys who take up cheerleading while in university. A manga adaptation drawn by Ayaka Matsumoto was published in Cookie and has four compiled volumes in print.The anime adaptation was previously announced as an untitled project with original character designs by Hiroyuki Asada, who is the manga artist of Tegami Bachi. | Hum...might watch, but this doesn't looks good looks like a cheerleading anime and there aren't many of it, Again!!! manga was kind like it, but several with interesting aspects. Also rejoice fujoshi and get salty male cast haters. |

stand said: cheerleading boys... I thought Sekkou Boys was the threshold of a new era but this is indeed the greatest time to be alive. For real. It does just look like gymnastics so far and not much cheering (yet), but either way, it's an interesting premise. Reminds me of when I watched Waterboys. Male cheer leading is definitely not as surprising as male synchronized swimming :) I like Tegami Bachi's artstyle, so the characters look great. I'm really looking forward to this. Proceeds to rewatch the PV a few more times... |

There's the cheerleaders that will cheer at sporting events and there are also the people in cheer who do it competitively. It will probably be something like that? |
