| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Pretty catchy OP song. The concept of cyborg soldiers in this dark city has an interesting vibe to the overall story. Inui is a badass. I mean, look his face and head. Who else looks like a gun head this season? lol. I However, he does seem to have a rather human personality and cool attitude. There's also a bit of thrilling suspense vibe I'm getting from the show. It just seems really interesting to see where the story will lead up to. Very interesting start for the first episode. |

| This could've been so much worse but with that OP, I knew it was going to pretty good. The voice actor kicked ass and the overall premise fascinates me. That (technical) plot twist actually surprised and makes me even more interested in what's going to happen. |

| Well that was an interesting first episode. Never read the manga nor do know anything about it but this seems interesting enough to follow this season. It's made by Madhouse, it definitely looks very Madhouse-ish. Also, that moment when you see a lighter using a lighter to light a cigarette lol. |

| ah, they don't mouth flap when talk. i always imagined they did. tbf, the manga feels really slow and i'm afraid this will turn away lots of people just from first 3 episodes. also, i don't feel like this time there will be any justice to the action segments of the manga. they happen very rarely, but when they do - they look great. and madhouse lately is really disappointing :/ |

| No guns life or more accurate no animation no life The typical super detective-veteran-rude-smoker but nevertheless any attempt to make the Gun-face lead cool as a hardboiled detective falls flat when every time a female flirts with him or he sees cleavage, it shifts to an SD art style for him to go "Squee! OMG!" Or when he comes to and sees his partner with a chunk taken out of his head, he goes "ZOMG!" and his barrel comically spins. You wouldn't catch Golgo 13 doing goofy takes like that! Anyway very dull episode, twenty minutes of listening to an old dude with absolutely nothing in the way of visuals is so bored. It also has a little girl sidekick, but she spends the whole episode unconscious instead of being jailbait, so it's a sideways move at best. Or maybe it's a he. I don't know. |
| Hmm, I don't really know what to think of it now but this episode was interesting, the story and the concepts seem to be nice. The animation is pretty clean too, i'm looking forward for the next episode to get a more precise opinion on this. |

| Well the setting of this anime is pretty interesting and I thght it would take time to get used to the protag cause of his gun head but nah it doesnt feel weird at all because of the anime's setting. The op was pretty decent and that kid's story is sad. Well a decent start but tbh thought it would be better. Lets just see how things go. |

| The animation was pretty non-existent, but the story wasn't bad at all. I like the MC so far and his voice does reflect his personality very well. Fine start, but I wished Madhouse did more with the animation. |

| A bit different than the usual anime fare these days. Old school in the Megalobox kind of vein (though not as good). Animation was pretty limited though and it if its like that in episode 1...yikes! |

| WTF is up with the low MAL rating of this show already? This first episode was pretty entertaining and cool. Comedy was off-key but everything seems fine. | This is goofier than assumed, but I guess I should have expected that with a MC that has a gun as a head(the fact is killing me btw) but imo it's easier to enjoy it like that over something that takes itself overly serious and fails. Production was pretty ok and it's too early to say that this anime is doomed to be a disappointment, especially since it seems that shit is going to go down for real in the next episode. |

| Strong start so far, looks really promising, I really liked the ED theme. | Another dystopic cyberpunk universe with augmented cyborgs. The animation is nice to watch and the characters are ok (the main is a solid dark-but-funny one) I look forward to the next episode to see the evolution of the story and have a real opinion about it |

There are no action heavy scenes in the first episode so of course there wouldn't have top notch 'sakuga' scenes just yet, unless Madhouse are unable to due to time restrictions (I don't trust their recent adaptations xD). In fact I think Madhouse did a good job in terms of animation this episode, since it is far from a slideshow and all the animation is very clean and consistent. |

| ED is great, OP is GOLD and the atmosphere is thick! Very good start even with some junky CGI here and there Madhouse still can deliver where is needed! Also those Edward's (FMA) gag faces! |

| Oooh I loved this. Its futuristic pulp fiction which probably means people are going to really love it or really hate it. Your typical detective solving cases except the detective is an Extended and he takes cases regarding other Extendeds. The CGI was pretty good and I loved the VA's on this. I am looking forward to the next episode. |
| I like the whole extended thing, but the story is really generic (I was rolling my eyes in some scenes). I'll hope for the best, but I'm not expecting much. At least the opening is nice. |

Glad I'm not the only one who felt this way because god it really felt like nothing really happened. I really felt like it was gonna build up to some explosive action scene (The MC has a gun for a head for Haruhi's sake so it was hard to expect anything less lol) and the most we got was a train getting punched. I haven't read the manga but what I've seen of the art it looks waaaaaaay better than the anime which was just pretty standard. I'm interested in the premise so I might read that instead. Also whats up with people asking "why the low score" bruh anywhere around a 7 is not a bad score |

| My first thought was how does a revolver smoke and then I realized the err of my words. xD Decent start so far, not particularly impressed but it was interesting enough. Was definitely goofier than I expected though. Will watch more. |
