Hello, I'm The CrimsonWanderer, Also known as Adol (previously known as AdolEmelys and AdolZeppeli)
I like to play games (Currently Playing Atelier Ryza 2), watch anime (duh), series and (sometimes) movies.
I'm usually chill as long as I'm addressed nicely.
I can be found in Backloggd, Youtube and Anilist. There you can see my Video Games list, my YT for games and music and my alternative anime list (in which I'm more active)

Learn to separate fiction from reality. No, liking a show that has controversial themes on it doesn't make you a supporter of said themes. No, disliking a show because it makes you uncomfortable due to said themes is not dumb as long as you don't spit poison towards others.
If you're here because I rated something you liked lower than 4 please consider this:
1- We have different taste, and that's perfectly fine. I have my own takes and you have yours, nothing is written on stone as the absolute truth.
2- I might have watched it with the wrong mindset, I'll decide if I'll give it a second chance at a later date.
3- I might have found it insanely annoying.
4- I don't owe anyone an explanation of why I like or dislike something, but if you ask nicely I can give you a brief summary of my thoughts.
AniManga ranking
9-10: I really love this show / Highly Fun / It's very meaningful to me / It's very Thought Provoking (Top Favorites Area)
7-8: Show is good / Fun / Thought Provoking (Favorites area)
5-6: Mixed Feelings, Average show / Mediocre / Slightly Fun
3-4: Show is bad / not my cup of tea / it tried / Might be fun regardless of flaws
1-2: The "I hate this show" tier /Insufferable /unwatchable / abominable
I don't usually rate ovas or any extras, unless they continue the story

Ja,ja,ja literal.
iirc approval rating of Kishida (current PM of Japan) is less than 20%, but he and his cabinet is still in power while continuing making unpopular decisions and people don't do anything to stop him, so I doubt they'll do something meaningful even if American companies start buying out Japanese anime and video-games studios. With how things are going, American companies with their immense capital will suck out Japanese talent to make their garbage products while original Japanese stuff will be left to rot or is changed to suit the "global audiences".
Falcom could've solved everything by hiring freelancers (fans, for example) to translate their games instead of sharing profits with a company half the international playerbase hates.
Meanwhile, I finished Kusuriya yesterday. Good stuff.
Code Vein was nice. I just wish it was a bit more difficult and complex, but character design was to my liking.
Unfortunately, Japan does give a fuck about what Westerners think. For example, Sega has a whole side dedicated to their ESG contributions. They and one other company (Bandai, I think?) recently defended terrible localizations and censorship at the source (meaning making their games closer to what Westerners want even for the Japanese audience). Normal non-ecchi anime has much less fan-service than back in the day as well. I think at this point even Koreans aren't as cucked as Japanese.
Well, there are no reasons a fully staffed company can't make a fast TL when fans who work for free can.
Buen juego.
Bien, completar todos los finales debió ser gratificante.

Also check those names. Snowflake and Safespace lol. I'm still not entirely sure if this was a serious project or some kind of joke - it's something a friend of mine sent to me not too long ago.
I'm still waiting for the day we'll get to play something like Dark Souls/Sekiro but with a beautiful female protagonist (Laura or Shizuna in "Falcom Souls" *wink wink*). Maybe Stellar Blade is going to be close to this.
I remember the times when nerds/gamers/weebs were considered losers and everyone ridiculed their hobbies, but after they became popular, suddenly these same nerds/gamers/weebs got a promotion from "losers' to misogynists, racists, etc.
I don't know about Ys, but newer Kiseki games are pretty much unplayable without fan TL due to how terrible official localization is and the fact that NISA is so slow is a blessing in disguise - fans have more motivation to do their job.
The problem is that instead of making their own games, they try to ruin what we like. They're essentially the "stop liking what I dislike" people, which is either childish or malicious behavior. For example, I don't like Western animations or comics, but I never go to forums dedicated to them and shit on them. But in anime/VG communities there are a lot of tourists who come to talk shit about the things we like. What's crazy, even CHINA isn't as bad with its censorship in video-games as the West. The only advantage Western devs have is that legally they can do whatever they want, but with corporations (including payment processors such as mastercard/visa) bully them, it makes it irrelevant.
btw found some new "gems" from the game called the Caligula Effect 2, it seems like it was translated by NISA
"Most impressive, my young padawans!"
"Yes, kween!"
"Only a true yolo swagster could think up something like that!"
"KYAAAAAAAAAA!!! what a LEWWWWWD thing to ask!!! NAUGHTY!"
"bang-up job, ya'll!!!"
Localizers have less accountability than any other job I can imagine. If a McDonald's worker gave a customer a burger instead of chicken nuggets and refused to fix it when asked he'd be fired the same day.
True. I think if these busybodies take away all the hobbies the lonely men have to cope with the life's difficulties, they'll get a lot of actual real life violence in return.
Yeah, man, I hope both of us will achieve a better life at some point.
I joked on the forums that while some couples want to "become one" as a romantic concept, I simply took this a bit further.
They think that if they scream against something it'll make them seem like they're against it, whereas in reality they are the ones practicing it. It's bonkers people obsess so much over fictional characters while completely ignoring real life issues, including actual abusers. I guess virtue signaling and banning harmless hobbies is easier than actually helping someone.
When I talk about kids, I'm mostly referring to the long-term relationships. Once they grow up they are going to be among the few people in our lives who give a shit about us and in my opinion everyone needs close people in their lives. And I think it would be pretty nice to teach your kid stuff, maybe even play your favorite games together lol.
I never had an issue with my looks or personality, but what can I expect in starting a relationship when I lost all my property in a war and I don't have a high income job to earn it back from zero? I don't see many bright perspectives. Being a man is kinda demanding, especially in progressive societies which is ironical. Given all of this, it is really annoying, maybe even infuriating, that there are people who want to destroy our harmless hobbies out of pure malice and scorn.
Hopefully my new name won't confuse us when you reach Kuro, ha-ha.
Btw forgot to reply to your previous message. These crazies think that sexy women in games increase violence against real women but it's actually the opposite. Gamers/anime fans usually don't want to interact with real women in the first place and/or satisfy their romantic/sexual/aesthetics needs through entertainment. However, somehow these people refuse to acknowledge that rapists are usually have nothing in common with gamers and anime fans - Japan, after all, is much safer for women than any country that bans sexy anime/video-games.
That said, I'm at a point in life when I don't mind having kids. I honestly have no idea how 40/50+ years old people live without having their own families. It must be lonely and sad and I don't want that. However, given my life situation (stuff related to war) it's a very difficult task - unfortunately, despite what people obsessed with privileges of patriarchy love to preach, to initiate a relationship a man is required to offer much more than a woman, not to mention the fact that you can be grabbed from the street and be sent to a meat grinder on the front lies. I also don't really feel attraction to most modern women, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm still waiting for you to meet Shizuna XD. I wonder what will you think when you meet the girl I betrayed Laura for :(
¡Vaya! Que bueno. Y buena suerte.
Meanwhile, players like me just want to escape shitty reality to something more idealistic and beautiful, i.e. there is enough ugliness in real life and there's no reason to insert more of it in fiction unless these people want to make us even more miserable on purpose.
It's interesting that if it wasn't for Ryza's good-looking appearance, this game probably wouldn't even register in my head like for example Forspoken - I saw its protag and instantly went "nope, I'm not interested".
I liked Io, Shizuru and Kyaru, but I haven't played Priconne that much and since global went eos I won't get to know the others better.
My favorite Konosuba character is Wiz, so I'd prefer if they made Megumin supporting character and Wiz main :p
Good job on Sekiro and Elden Ring. I recently got Sekiro on Steam so maybe I'll replay it at some point (I previously played it on a "free" version). Was funny seeing your recommendation pop up in my store btw since I can't buy it directly - it's published by activision and they pulled out of Russia alongside all their licensed games XD My PC can't run Elden Ring properly and I want to play Ryza at some point too.
I love Konosuba, but its recent obsession with Megumin (there was a movie and a whole spin-off about her) made me kind of lose interest in it. As always looking forward to new Mushoku episodes. I don't like Hibike Euphonium, so will be skipping it. Spice and Wolf - if I ever decide to watch it, I'll watch original anime.
That's a big ptw list for the upcoming season you have there... Among the ones you mentioned I only have Unnamed Memory and Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai in mine.
How about games? Played anything nice recently? I'm going through persona 3 now.
