Hello, I'm The CrimsonWanderer, Also known as Adol (previously known as AdolEmelys and AdolZeppeli)
I like to play games (Currently Playing A Tithe in Blood, watch anime (duh), series and (sometimes) movies.
I'm usually chill as long as I'm addressed nicely.
I can be found in Backloggd, and Anilist. There you can see my Video Games list, and my alternative anime list (in which I'm more active)
Don't get bossed by the Ambassadors of Hatred™, they can be as loud as as they want, but if they don't change their harmful ways, society will never change.
They've got to earn our respect if they want to be respected. It's imperative that these individuals understand cultural differences as well as proper etiquette, instead of throwing a tantrum every time they see something they don't like.
Only then, genuine bonds, acceptance, and respect will arise.
In a world where everyone is angry all the time, be the one that makes the difference.

If you're here because I rated something you liked lower than 4 please consider this:
1- We have different taste, and that's perfectly fine. I have my own takes and you have yours, nothing is written on stone as the absolute truth.
2- I might have watched it with the wrong mindset, I'll decide if I'll give it a second chance at a later date.
3- I might have found it insanely annoying.
4- I don't owe anyone an explanation of why I like or dislike something, but if you ask nicely I can give you a brief summary of my thoughts.

Right now it is very easy for a new player to clear the whole story in FGO without meeting much difficulties. New accounts get tons of mats needed for character upgrade (imagine if in Hoyo games you'd get everything you need to uncap the character, get all the best relics etc.) and also a lot of quartz for clearing story/free quests/achievements, so you can get at least few SSRs without much issue. Friend/random users support summons are very powerful too. In the worst case scenario when the battles are too hard it's OK to revive with command spells/quartz and continue.
And this is another thing FGO has over hoyo games - even old charas there are viable and don't require you to upgrade them with some new weapons or whatever. I'd be probably very annoyed by all these new things if I were still playing HI3.
From what I remember it's easier to get 200 pulls in BA than whatever number you need for pity in hoyo games. The SSR rate in BA is also 3% which is much better than Genshin's 0.6%. And BA's SSR pool has a lot of characters instead of the same Qiqi/Mona/etc. And you don't need to pull on a separate banner or fume because you lost 50/50.
Recently I uninstalled Wrath of the Righteous because I didn't open it for several months even though I've already spent 30 hours on it before. It's not even a bad game by any means. So yeah... :(
Are English voices ever not awkward? :P For real though, the only times I liked English voice acting in video-games was when they were native to said games, e.g. Resident Evil - even though it's a Japanese game it is obvious it is always being made with English voices as "main"/native option.
Thorfinn unfortunately doesn't work in our world. If more people were like him then they'd just be forced to fight in wars anyway. And even though wars are terrible at their core, what is even worse than them is the fact that people who make them happen (i.e. political and financial elite) don't fight in them and force commoners to die for their BS.
Don't worry, it can happen to anyone.
I actually re-installed HSR during its Anniversary (I think?), I spent 30 minutes on it and uninstalled it again. And you know what? After I decided to replay FGO (lost my JP acc and decided to make a new EN one) I realized why all these new gachas suck at making me stay for a long time. Because the story is simply boring and I don't care about what is happening, the dialogues are dull and so on. FGO on the other hand can be enjoyed even as a "single player game" - you can play the main story while avoiding dailies and events and you will still enjoy the experience. In HSR and other Chinese gachas they'll spam you with all that technical jargon and abstract concepts and then they'll make something weird like Penacony or insipid "civil war" in Inazuma that has 3 rebel soldiers fighting 3 Raiden soldiers and then everything is over. Meanwhile FGO is on par with good visual novels even though you're playing as a self insert who doesn't talk much (btw Gudako is super cute and badass). So yeah I can relate to your "I can't give a fuck" sentiment when it comes to most of these games.
Did they decrease the daily rewards or event rewards in Genshin? If it's true then yikes. Typically older games tend to give MORE not less. Also, I won't ever forgive Genshin for ruining gachas with their BS 50/50 + weapon on separate banner scheme. Still the most frustrating gacha system to date, I'll take no pity single-banner/decent rate up over it.
Yeah, I saw Expedition on Steam and wasn't very excited by its screenshots/promo videos. Seems like most people praise it though. I'd probably play it if the number of things I want to play or read wasn't so damn large. How long the game was btw?
I saw some new Sky Remake trailers too and I agree - they look good. If they manage to convey the atmosphere of the original game and make a decent TL it would be amazing.
Thank you, man. Hopefully the both of us will be able to navigate through that hell of a world without drowning in the sea of depression.
