That is so strange... Well, thanks. I don't really want to listen to a dub but I will put up with it for three episodes.

Your time is appreciated.
will be coming back soon for a few minor questions.

To narrow this down even more, look for titles aimed at non-anime fans. Having watched about 3000 titles by now, typical anime characteristics (their selling points) such as their storytelling, voice acting and cinematography or the lack of it have nothing to offer anymore.
They don't need to be old. As you see Midori-ko was produced in 2010. The story, art and sound/visual design though are detailed in their non-mass-production approach. (The story is about leaving naivety behind and coming to have greed)

Those titles were fairly popular and, except for Sirius the Jaeger, I've seen all of them. Although they might not be in the list.
It'd be appreciated if you dug deeper into your memories to find titles as obscure as Midori-ko(2010), Inaka Isha(2007) and Chirin no Suzu(1978).
P.S: Tenshi no Tamago is becoming less obscure every year; hence no mention of it.

Since you know Japanese and watch with an analytic view, wanted to see if you could recommend some of the less known niche titles you've seen and found noteworthy and even collaborate -minor questions here and there- in editing translations if you may (as you know the English translations diverge from the original script at times).
