| This episode went from comedy to tragedy in a most unexpected way. I was laughing my azz off at the "are you going to do the ora ora thing?" and the splendid use of Engrish "YES, YES, YES" and then things got nasty. Really nasty. RIP Avdol. |

| The best part of Stardust Crusaders is finally here, gentlemen. I don't think discussing the significance of an individual with a dark-toned skin being called one way or another should be the main focus of this thread. Seems like they included half a chapter more than I expected this episode, but I don't think that will change the result that much. DIO will probably appear about halfway through episode 20 instead of at the very end. Really enjoyed the YES YES YES! part here more than in the manga (probably thanks to the VA). Vanilla's appearence was far more scary and menacing as well, glad they put the most effort where it matters. Looking forward to next week to see if they reach the finale or not, excited for DIO's fight being this close. |

Anyway, D'Arby got rekt. He deserved it. I'm really excited for the next episode, although a little worried for Polnareff's life. People were right. The 2nd half of Stardust Crusaders is amazing. |

| Finally the series has a truly spectacular and suspenseful fight like this, thi is probably the first fight in part 3 thus far where it feels like they are completly overwhelmed. If this fight and dio can keep up this level of intensity ill bump my score for the show up to a 7 again, the show had an incredibly bumpy journey but the destination seems grand |

| You know, it's a good thing that D'arby the gambler didn't have D'arby the player's stand ability to read souls, otherwise the stardust crusaders would have been majorly boned. Even with minor plot conveniences like that, is JoJo still my favorite manga/anime? YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! | Have to say they nailed Vanilla Ice's introduction, I had forgotten just how unnerving the guy really is! The suddenness of Avdol's death really drives home how desperate the situation has become, he will be missed ;_;. Polnareff and Iggy have a tough fight ahead of themselves. I was surprised that they got Sho Hayami to reprise his role from the Capcom game. Not that I'm not for it: the guy is a top tier VA, it just makes me wonder if... |

| Ending to D'arby fight was boring/lame. Vanilla Ice chopping his own head off to give Dio his blood out of loyalty was brutal. Avdol died for real this time. Seems like the fight against Vanilla Ice is actually going to be interesting. |

| Araki was going for horror stuff here and there all throughout part 3, but he really nailed it with the Vanilla Ice fight. It's legitimately unsettling and hard to watch. It creates such a sense of dread, really impressive stuff and one of the best fights in the entire series. |

| Woah, even I completely didn't see the trick Joseph was pulling on Darby, completely surprised me lol! The Darby battle was pretty funny though~ Avdol gone for real ._. I feel so...conflicted, it was executed so well. Hell, everything was executed perfectly in the second half, the sheer horror and suspense from Vanilla Ice, damn...that text screwed Avdol over. Feel sad for the Jojo gang. Ost was superb this episode~ |
| Wow they really delivered here! I enjoyed that D'Arby fight really much. I still had to laugh at how simple that trick was. I still couldn't get enough of the whole soul reading business. | Definitely the best scene in this episode.. I lol'd too much because of this.. While i'm not really enjoyed the match between jotaro and d'arby, but the finishing is great IMO. I'm surprise that the one who actually play the baseball game is joseph.. and how d'arby get "ora ora" in the end is hilarious XD But the second part of episode is where shit got real. Pretty intense episode right there.. Well, does avdol really die for sure this time? I hope not.. but i can't see him cheating the death twice .-. Vanilla ice is one of the best if not the best stand user opponent so far. He is frickin creepy and i think his ability is unique and overwhelming. Now i have no idea how Polnarref and Iggy gonna fight him. I need eps 43 right now! Overall, it's an excellent episode for me, and i like how they can combine the comedy and serious plot in one episode, can't wait to see it again next week. 5/5 |
