Glorious, needs more sales but I know this series has long legs. A shame that Ichikyuu Kyuupeke did not rank also but it's to be expected, new series and all. Got my copy as well as NtK 15 and all 3 volumes of Puppy Lovers on the way, cannot wait to get stuck into all of them.

Hell yeah, Haikyuu hype~

I'm kinda curious to see how Saiki Kusuo no Ψ Nan will do this month though as one of the other Shounen Jump series. It's not going as strong as Haikyuu or Ansatsu Kyoushitsu but I have hope.

For the second time, it's Fairytale Chronicle, not Fairy Tail Chronicle.
Bestselling light novel volumes of the year/all time* (and more in the same club including weekly series ranks etc).
*that there is data for

It seems the reason why the boost for Kekkai Sensen wasn't showing up was because all of the Vols were out of stock. The Magazine Publisher provided reprints on May 5th.

Anyways I'm glad it's getting a boost because it's entertaining fun.

Well the sales should increase for next week since retailers have been out of stock for Kekkai Sensen volumes, and should have restocked May 5.

I was wondering that too. It's probably a mistake, unless Tamura-sensei really is continuing it but that's highly unlikely.

A series taking first place in both the manga and LN :O
That doesn't happen often, only a handful of series has ever done it.

Needs way more, but the anime beats the manga by far so it's understandable people don't want to buy it.

has kekkai sensen seen any boosts since the anime has aired, i know the anime itself is apparently shaping up to sell well but it'd be even better if the source gets more sales possibly adding to the incentive to give the series a 2nd season

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

It's been out of stock, the Magazine Publisher just reprinted more Vols of Kekkai Sensen on May 5. So it's definitely not that people don't want to buy it.

As I just posted up there, it sold 163,235 as a series this week. That equates to 140,541 total for Vol.2~10 or 15,616 copies on average.

While a smaller number of POS are covered compared to Oricon here, this ranking is a good indicator of where manga volumes ranked outside the Top 50 manga:

http://shosekiranking.blog.fc2.com/

As we can see for this week, Vol.2~10 of Kekkai Sensen ranked in between 51 and 100. It was not strong enough to get every single volume into the Top 50 this week, but it definitely ranked higher this week compared to last week's ranking:

http://shosekiranking.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-894.html

The threshold for the Top 10 Weekly Manga series last week was 122,541... and Kekkai Sensen did not rank there, so Vol.1~10 must've sold less than 12,254 copies on average.

10 12,203 Owari no Seraph Ichinose Guren, 16-sai no Catastrophe (終わりのセラフ 一瀬グレン、16歳の破滅)

Nice to see most of these in the ranking. Both Seraph manga and LN individual volumes are not strong enough to get into Top 50 so it's nice to know that it's doing fairly well overall.

Happy for SnK and NNT! I'm still waiting for a 3rd season announcement for Magi and Arslan Senki sure is doing very well. On the other hand, I'm glad to see Kekkai Sensen's sales boosting, it really deserves it.

It's most likely the bangai-hen series combined in a volume.

Still no signs of clear SnS boost, so much for being HST level.

Probably the biggest bust of the year.

*4 163,235 Kekkai Sensen (血界戦線)
*7 107,423 Shokugeki no Souma (食戟のソーマ)

Those are good numbers especially for Kekkai Sensen. Lets see if the numbers will increase by next week now that they've started reprinting the older volumes. The series needs more love.

Bleach should be at around 476K if anyone's wondering.

Still no signs of clear SnS boost, so much for being HST level.

Probably the biggest bust of the year.

Wut?
It was never gonna be big 3 level :(
The newer volume sold 100K+ lower than bleach with no anime (most people are avoiding the manga to not get spiled for when it comes back) XD

Haikyuu!! is a good manga and his story is very entertaining, that's what I've been told about, especially catches the viewer much

If so then, OPM surpassed as expected.

SnS had hype in a lot of forums(including here), to the point people were expecting it to reach HST level.

SnS = Shokugeki no Souma, HST = Holy Shounen Trinity aka The Big 3 (One Piece, Naruto, Bleach).

I never even heard of SNS much and I have been reading manga for about 10 years. And I use to go to lot of forums. Its never been that popular let alone reaching Big 3 Level. Only manga that I see reaching Big 3 level if not already reached is AOT and Fairy Tail came very close to it but then the quality dropped.
