| I guess we finally got an official implementation of Malgraph into the site kind of? Either way, this is pretty cool stuff, I like the interactive graphs. Probably still some room to include more kinds of data points as well but it's a good start. If nothing else it's more user-friendly to have it incorporated like this than having to go to Malgraph every time you want these kind of stats Good update for sure |

| I just noticed this too. It seems they changed the calculation. Before, the manga stats calculation was a bit weird: it calculated a "volume score" and a "chapter score" for the entire list and the higher value was taken. The problem here was that if your list works for example with the volume score then increasing chapters wouldn't add anything, only volumes. This became a bigger problem with the addition of more webtoons which often don't have a volume count (I mentioned this problem here before). I don't know how exactly it works now but it seems the stats do something like I suggested in the post: check every individual list entry and increase the time depending on whether chapters or volumes for that entry give a higher value. That's another great change. |

It just has more features, especially the recommended part. Also, it's a bit disappointing that my loved/hated shows are litterally just my highest/lowest rated shows. It's totally true, but I was expecting spicier takes... |

| I love stats and love this new feature!!! One issue I found though was that for some reason after clicking "View All" in the "MAL Score vs Anime/Manga Score" section, my notes show up by default under the anime/manga titles and can't be hidden. So on my list with long notes, it is impossible to use this new page right. When accessing my list normally, this section does not show up by default, so it's weird that it does this! Could you please fix this? Would also be interesting to be able to click on the circle graph on the "Genres" pages and see which anime share the 2 tags you clicked on! |

| Awesome job MAL team! Feel like you all get a lot of unwarranted hate in these update posts, so I'm glad to see everyone showing some love on this one. |
| First of all, this is a good update and thank you for the hard work to all the MAL team. Unfortunately, I don't think that any feature involving the average MAL score will be very useful due to the amount of kiddy fake accounts and the rating systems discrepancy. Though the "They hated it, I enjoyed it" feature could be nice to find some underrated good anime. I also don't see the appeal of the "Anime Genre Connections" graph. To me it just feels you found a cool chart component and just wanted to use and show it because it is fancy, but it is way too messy and not very helpful. I get that this is just a way of starting things and more will come, don't worry too much about it. I appreciate the score distribution chart, the anime genre table and being able to sort my plan to watch list by average score/popularity. More columns to play with in lists are always welcome. |
