Cheeky Santa LE '21 Challenge

　It is, once again, that time of the year. We are close to guarding our house of the red man 🎅, those little pointy things 🧝‍♂️ and those other animals 🦌. We are close to making our house soundproof, what with all that noise making during the last few days of the year 🎆. I hope everyone will enjoy these holidays together while having a fun~

GENERAL RULES / EXPLANATION

The challenge will work as a Secret Santa, with a spin(?).
　— You will sign up to receive and/or give a small list of anime recommendations before the time limit is up.
　— Afterwards you will be given some time to completed the required anime.
From whom would you like your recommendations?

⭐ From a Shining Star
　— This means that you will be giving and/or receiving recommendations to/from several other users.
　— The Shining Stars are a lovely group willing to give you a personalized rec (one per Star) based on your sign up post.

🎁 From a Robelfot (one free pass if you are one of the first 10 to correctly guess what the term is based on lol —via private message; anyone can try to guess)
　— This means that you will be receiving a randomized recommendation.
　— A Robelfot is a somewhat archaic helper that will pick your anime without accepting anything in return. (so you won't have to give them a rec)
Where can I receive my gifts? You will be allowed to decide where you can search for your gifts:

　🎄 Under the Xmas Tree will be those series that aren't part of your anime list. (new shiny toy)

　🌸 Inside the Poinsettia Garden will be those series you are missing from one of the many club's collections, via your HoF Checklist. (time to work on something?) Series, Creator, Staff, MAC, AWC, AG and/or Affiliates Collections

　⛄ Near the Snowman will be those series that are part of your anime list, with less than half completed. (regardless of status; excludes airing series; at your own risk!)

　🍰 On the Dining Table will be a bit of the three above, up to your Secret Santa. (let's be nice~)
You won't be allowed to change your settings (person/place) after signing up.
　— If you are posting early, you will have until November 26 to edit your post.
Your setting for receiving privates messages must be set to everyone, in case I need to contact you.
Note that you can only turn-in on this thread (more info below).
Your Points Distribution will be one of the following, based on what you manage to complete:
　— Level 1: 0.25 points for completing 2 short series (between 10 to 15 minutes total)
　— Level 2: 0.50 points for completing 2 series (regardless of type)
　— Level 3: 0.75 points for completing 4 series (1 TV type, 3 of any other type)
　— Level 4: 1.00 point for completing 4 series (1 TV type, 2 Movies, 1 over 10 minutes total)
　— Level 5: 1.25 points for completing 4 series (2 TV type, 1 Movie, 1 over 10 minutes total)
　— Level 6: 1.50 points for completing 4 series (4 TV type —OR— 3 TV type, 1 Movie)
　— Level 7: 1.75 points for completing 6 series (5 TV type, 1 Movie —OR— 4 TV type, 2 Movies)
　— Level 8: 2.00 points for completing 6 series (6 TV type)
If (once the event starts) you find yourself unable to reach your attempted Level, you can stop at a lower one.
　— You won't be able to attempt a higher one once you receive your gifts, unless the gifts make enough for it.

REQUIREMENTS for all the Santa lists:

Shining Star will give one recommendation per fellow Stars they receive.
　— You will be assigned at random which type to recommend, but you will be allowed to include a bonus rec (per Star) if desired.
　— The bonus recommendation can be anything, regardless of your assigned type.
　— No Music videos, at all, nor series under 10 mins in total duration.
The anime you recommend must be something you have completed.
　— If you don't have any valid option completed nor something that would fit their tastes, you are allowed to give a "blind rec" BUT you must let them know it's one.
No Hentai or Erotica should be recommended, unless otherwise stated by your partner.
Anime must be available, at least, for streaming with English subs.
Anime should try to adhere to the preferences/specifications of your partner, to the best of your abilities.
For those desiring to receive their gift near the Snowman, the anime recommended must have less than half (of the total episode count) previously watched.
　— It excludes airing series.
　— It can be on any of the lists (watching, on hold, dropped, plan to watch), so don't focus on only one of them.
Important Notes:
　— 1-cour will be defined as any series that has between 10-15 episodes (each between 18-25 mins per). Minimum, it can be longer.
　— 2-cour will be defined as any series that has between 20-26 episodes (each between 18-25 mins per). Minimum, it can be longer.

　— TV type refers to series that are 1-cour in length, thus a 2-cour series can count as two 1-cour series.
　— Anything with more episodes will only count as 2-cours.
　— Short anime (15 minutes or less per episode) can be used as replacement if they are the similar, total duration-wise.

　— TV and ONA types are interchangeable, so long the ONA is at least 1-cour in length.
　— Movies should be 50 minutes or more in total duration.

HOW-TO PARTICIPATE / DEADLINES

To be able to participate as a Shining Star, you will need to post your sign up form before November 27 ends.
　— You will be able to join after this date, but only with a Robelfot.

⭐ Shining Stars
Between November 28-30, everyone will be paired and you will receive your Stars. Please keep in mind to keep it a secret.
After receiving your assigned Stars, you will have until December 5 to reply with your recommendation for each one.
　— You will reply to the private message you will get here on MAL.
　— Make sure to send me the links, flavor text, etc., between code tags. (A template will be provided)
Between December 6 to December 12, everyone's gifts will be posted on this thread. You will have until February 14, 2022 to watch them.
Once the event is over, all secret santas will be revealed.

🎁 Robelfots
Since you don't have to do anything in particular, patiently wait to receive your gift.
　— They will be posted either during the first week of December or with the Shining Stars.

Most of the pairs were done completely random this year!
I only avoided putting members with others that would give them an extremely hard time, albeit some of you might argue that you still had it hard. My bad?

After you learn who were your Stars, make sure to tell them about the gifts!
You can use this thread, server, comments, private messages, etc etc etc....

The user mentioned was the one getting the gift from those on the list below.
I tried to list them in order that your gifting list was made. If you spot a mistake, please do let me know.

I left the list with the symbol used to know from where they had to check for your give and the instructions I initially gave
(some won't match since they had to fix, etc)

🍰 Other Likes: I like pretty much all genres. I like story-driven series with plot twists. A preference for adult-oriented animes (Josei/Seinen) and TV series. I don't have a favourite lenght, but I think 12 episodes is ideal. I'd rather not have too long series to watch since I'm also trying watch series from the "Quick Anime Suggestions list" on the HoF, but if you think I'll really enjoy it, then go for it :) If you have no idea what to suggest, you can also suggest related series I haven't watched yet (sequels, etc.) as I'm a completitionist. You can also suggest me animes that need to be watched to complete the collections. I also don't mind Hentai/Yaoi/Yuri if it helps me finish my hentai challenge or is extremely funny. I like male characters that are analytical, sadist or tsundere.

🍰 General Dislikes: I dislike slow-paced series. I'm not a fan of the mix episodic/comedy. I'd rather not have a sport anime in the list for personal reason (not that I dislike the genre). I hate annoying characters like Suzumiya Haruhi and dislike snaggleteeth (usually because the character also has a high-pitch voice and is extremly annoying). I also dislike female tsundere and lolis. I don't mind funny ecchi but dislike it if unrelated to the storyline. Kids (PG) and G rated stuff are boring (even if it's Studio Ghibli) and I avoid them. I'm not into dementia and I don't like when the anime tries to bullshit some badly written deep story out of nowhere. No dubs. Also, no 2h+ movies or TV series with less than 500 members as I'm keeping them for the official AWC, please!

🎿 Any comment? Don't even bother to check my PtW list. It's a mess and I know it. It can be either on it or not. Also, just to be on the safe side, not Hokuto no Ken nor Dragon Ball, please, as they are being watched with friends.

🎿 Any comment? Feel free to recommend anime that finishes airing this December. Right now I'm not worrying about the Poinsettia Garden. Ignore my dropped and on-hold lists and please DO NOT recommend anything with sexual slavery, prostitutes or rape scenes -even if only implied- (it doesn't matter if that only happens in just one episode or for a brief moment, that makes me suffer and it's Christmas, for heaven's sake).

🍰 Other Likes: I happen to really like series that start with letters that are relatively uncommon, or also happen to contain a very super rare letter. Airing at an uncommon time-slot JST is also a plus, those are really good. Otherwise, I don't have very many particular likes other than what MAlgraph tells me. However, MALgraph says that Studio Pierrot is one of my least favorite studios in terms of mean score, however this is not reflective of my actual feelings towards Pierrot. On the contrary, I love studio pierrot, and want to watch everything they have produced. Old series I don't mind at all.

🍰 General Dislikes: Be very weary about Isekai and light/visual novel adaptations, but I don't want to go so far as to blanket ban them if you feel strongly that something would be just right for me. The same for boys love anime

🎿 Any comment? Pay no special attention to my PTW watch. It does not reflect what I think I would be into, and more so was planning for a challenge. I put 1-cour for preferred episode count but, as before, if you really think it'll appeal strongly to me, then you can throw a 2-cour in. Since those count as two series for the levels system, the only added difficulty is fitting into 52 weeks.

I like anime that are either have a really good story, character and ending or something that can give me a good laugh but also has a nice balance to it. For example Violet Evergarden WITH A BEAUTIFUL NARRATIVE and Acchi Kocchi which is someting really wholesome and fun to watch. But if you know an anime that's REALLY GOOD but only matches a little with my taste, don't worry and just go for the recommendation bro. I'll watch it.

🍰 General Dislikes: Nothing that's absolute bullshit only with fansevice elements or hentai level shit. (Redo of Healer is an exception since I wanna watch it to see what people are so terrified of. Rec it to me if you want me to stop putting it off for a billion years)
